We came here to celebrate a college graduation and had a mix of opinions among our party. We had issues with multiple dishes.

2 of our party members ordered the carbonara and found it to be very watery; neither of them were interested in finishing their meals. The Walleye was unimpressive; we expected local fish to be cooked/seasoned properly and it was lacking flavor.

The saffron seafood linguini was a total scam. The shrimp was ridiculously overcooked and the best way I can describe the mussels was that they did not taste anywhere near fresh, the scallops were decent. One of our party members will eat anything and is not very picky so he offered to take the shrimp and mussels because they were inedible in my opinion.

Obviously, I chose not to send the meal back or I wouldn’t have had another member of our party finish the seafood, but I did choose to let management know because (as someone who has worked in customer service) i found the quality of the dish to be unacceptable (especially for something they charge $40 for) and wanted them to be aware so they could address it for the future.

They were very combative and dismissive. I was expecting a response of “I’m so sorry I will let the Chef/Manager know so we can fix that for next time”, instead they came back and said “Well, I don’t know what you want, we can’t comp anything on this”. Not once did we indicate that we were looking for compensation. I was very frustrated to receive that kind of attitude from the staff at what I expected to be a well run establishment.

We also spent over 3 hours there. We were expecting a european style dinner going into it, but we also expected properly cooked food. On top of that we asked if there would be a wait time for the desserts and were told no there would not be a wait time because none of them need to be baked. 25 minutes after ordering we were informed they do in fact need to be baked and we were stuck there for another 45 minutes as a result!

And at the end of our dinner after expressing discontent multiple times and receiving no effort from the management to make it right, the staff had the audacity to say to us “We are so glad you enjoyed your meal, please leave a positive review for $5 off on your return visit”. Suffice it to say we will not be returning…

Don't go here... Unless you've got a lot of time and good company!

Cin cin is a wonderful dining that takes you back 10-20 years. In the age of rushing and restaurants focused on rapid table turnover, Cin Cin is a great place to slow down, have great conversations, great service, and absolutely amazing food. But dinner will take 2-3 hours... so be prepared.

The food at Cin Cin is hand made by the head chef for every order and it shows. We've been 4 or 5 times now, and we're sure to stop by every year we vacation in the north. It's some of the best food we've ever had, bar none. The saffron seafood fettuccini is amazing.

If you don't have at least a couple hours, or you're dining alone, I would not recommend. Otherwise, definitely the place to go in Eagle River.

We have eaten here three times now and each meal has been excellent. The staff was attentive and graciously accommodated our special meal requests. I am vegan and they prepared a lovely orecchiette pasta with fresh vegetables. My husband enjoyed the lasagna. The wine and cocktail list is substantial and complements the delicious Italian cuisine.

If you're looking for a little European escape in the Northwoods, look no further. Bortolotti's serves delectable and authentic Italian fare the likes I've never seen so far from Rome. This is not a place you want to experience in a hurry, so give yourself the time to savor the exquisite atmosphere, wine, appetizers and mains. We stumbled upon this hidden gem on a Tuesday night when they had live jazz going which further elevated the experience. 10/10 will go again.

Absolutely blown away by our experience at Bortolotti’s Cin Cin in Eagle River. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just right — the music, the warm lighting, and the cozy, tasteful decor set the perfect scene for a great meal.

The wait staff was phenomenal — super attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great time. That kind of service makes all the difference.

Now the food? Unreal. We started with the dinner salad and soup, and both were fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the meal. Then came the main dishes — and wow. The carbonara was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned — easily the best I’ve ever had. And the Chicken Siciliano was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and plated beautifully. Every bite was a reminder that this is real Italian cooking.

Honestly, Bortolotti’s Cin Cin is the only Italian restaurant worth going to in Eagle River. If you’re in the area and craving Italian, don’t even think twice. This place is a gem.

Great family-owned Italian restaurant. It's in an out-of-the-way location next to the Eagle River airport. Inventive northern Italian menu. Wine list is awesome with a number of Italian wines at reasonable prices. I had the sausage and meat lasagna and loved it. The eggplant appetizer was delicious. Trent, our server, was very attentive.

My husband and I went here the day before Valentine's Day. It was not very busy and it took quite awhile to get our appetizer and entrees. There were only two other couples in the restaurant. For the appetizer, we ordered the Bruschetta and it was ok-I've had better. For the entrees, he ordered their special for the night-sausage stuffed ravioli in a garlic cream sauce and I ordered grouper over creamy risotto. Both of our meals were severely lacking in flavor. The risotto was not cooked well at all. The prices for what we got were outrageous. The service was average. The entire place could use a remodel and a good cleaning. I would not recommend.

I was there about 4 or 5 years ago it was the slowest service I've ever experienced although they only have 1 server for the entire place. Tried it again recently and it has not gotten better unfortunately. Same terriblely slow service and only 1 server for a Saturday night. Beef dish was dry and bland, dumpling also bland. The beef jus/ barely had any flavor. I used my leftover honey balsamic dressing from my salad to flavor my food. There wasn't even salt and pepper at the table. The mussels shrimp fettuccine dish is overpriced and contained small bits of small broken mussel shell pieces that were terrible to chew on, luckily no teeth were chipped lol. I definitely won't recommend to anyone and will not go back. If you are looking for great Italian food Sorella in three lakes is the place to go!

After traveling last month and enjoying great dining, it was fantastic to have an incredible dining experience here in Eagle River.
First, it’s clear a lot of time and thought went into the interior. The feeling is warm and romantic, with a separate seating area with sofas and attractive accents. Though the main dining area is fairly small, the seating offers enough space for some privacy and is also beautifully decorated.
The main thing here, as it should be, is the food! The complimentary bread was so light and soft we wanted more, but didn’t want to spoil our appetites. (And, by the way, the freshly made salad dressing was so good I bought some to bring home!).
My husband ordered the Mano-Beef Canederli, tender sliced beef served beside a bowl of any jus with soft dumplings with salami and bacon. He loved every bite! I had the Cotolette Di Maiale Al Rosmarino - Pork Slices over Polenta. It was an amazing combination of flavors and textures … both entrees are highly recommended!
For dessert, we split a rich tiramisu that was packed with flavor.
Treat yourself to dinner at Bortolotti’s Cin Cin if you want authentic Italian food expertly prepared.

Cin Cin is a charming restaurant in an unlikely location along HWY 45 near the Eagle River Airport. If you’re not looking carefully for it, you may buzz right past.

I had the poached grouper which was served over risotto. It was very tasty and a good-sized portion. We were there on a Saturday and also enjoyed their special of free charcuterie with a purchase of a bottle of wine. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. Took home an order of their olive tapenade as a bonus.

Trent was an attentive and pleasant server. Great place. We will be back.

We had an outstanding meal last evening! The bar made a fantastic Negroni. Perhaps a little less ice next time. Trent was a very attentive and skillful waiter. The bread, olive oil and olive tamponade are terrible. My seafood fettuccine was great. The scallops were sweet and obviously fresh. The mussels fresh and tasty. The vegetable lasagna was eggplant based and excellent vegetarian selection. It’s a shame there weren’t more patrons. There is an excellent wine menu. The background music is great. Food was absolutely astonishing. Waiter
TRENTON made the experience like no other (for the better). One slight issue of entering the little boys room behind a young blond lad, Quinn’s is the name, and when I entered the bathroom, it reeked the scent of multiple footlong feces floating in the top of the pot. I tried to track this man down but he vanished into the darkness

If I could give ZERO stars - I would. We tried to dine in. We waited over 2 hours and were never served the food we ordered. Not sure why as every single other table in the entire place received food. We were not a large party. Back of store needs to get their act together as the front of store suffers the consequences. Will never return and would never recommend this place.

Since the moment we walked in the service was incredibly slow. At least 20 minutes to get a drink even though there was 3 tables there. While the food was quite good, there were several issues that were annoying. First, there is a $5 split plate charge which I rarely see these days. Second the server was only able to split a check 50/50 despite how many people were at the table and what we had ordered. I find that extremely odd.

I have dined at Cin Cin more times than I can count and have never been disappointed! The menu is huge and unique. I'm never afraid to try something new because Cin Cin never misses the mark; everything is delicious! The staff is always patient and friendly. The wait can be long, especially with larger groups in the middle of the busy tourist season, as most places in the northwoods are understaffed. I dined in at Cin Cin's with my family and friends and couldn't have been more happy with the experience. Our server was very patient with our large group and our many questions. We expected the food to take a while based on the disclaimer sitting on the table, however, our meals came out much faster than expected. I ordered the Mahi Mahi which was amazing and in just the right portions. We decided to try all of the desserts as a group and each one seemed like it had been individually cared for. Our experience at Cin Cins was so great that my wife and I decided to stay for a couple drinks at the bar after dinner and got acquainted with the very kind bar tender. I will definitely be returning.

Food was served an hour and thirty minutes after we arrived. I ordered the Beef Wellington Rare with potatoes. The outside looked amazing, inside was a grey piece of meat with absolutely no sear. The mushroom sauce made the bread mushy. Luckily I was on a date and enjoyed the 3 hours it took to get served and our bill paid. I tried half of one potato half before this picture, I was still hungry when I left. Presentation was great on the plate but portions are more important to me than looks. Cheesey broccoli soup was pretty watery and was more like broccoli with a little parmesan/romano soup. This may seem a little harsh but for being the second table that night it was sub par. From 5-8 there were 5 tables and mostly 2 tops.

This place is probably one of the worst restaurants in Eagle River. I had a group of 8 and they seemed unhappy to accommodate. I felt like they were trying to get us to leave when they said the wait was an hour+ with a half empty restaurant. When we said we would wait, lo and behold we were sat 20mins later. The food it's unbelievably subpar. 10$ for 4 little pieces of bruschetta $15 for 4 little dates with goat cheese wrapped in chewy bacon. All of our dishes were so absolutely bland. No flavor or salt in anything. We sent a dish away that genuinely had 2 bites taken from it. He said he was going to take it off the bill, but only took half off. They charge a regular tax, a vilas County tax, a TOURIST tax, anddd 3.5 percent to use a credit card. For almost $300 you would expect so much more. I would absolutely avoid this place. So many more better restaurants nearby.

They have 1 server who was on his 3rd day- seated us, got water, drinks and unless I got his attention after 30 minutes we would still be sitting there waiting to place our order. When our order arrived the salad had not come yet.
The Mano Beef dish was glorified pot roast. Sun dried tomato chicken -nothing to rave about.
Best part was the wine list.
This was a huge disappointment.

Not sure where to start here...
The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because their food was AMAZING. Otherwise, they deserve 1 or 0 stars.
However, there were countless things that we disliked.
-We spent a total of 2 hours there (yes there was a disclaimer on the table that each dish takes 20-25 minutes to make...but that equals 50 minutes, not 120).
-We had two waiters working together and neither of them said more than 10 total words to us...and neither asked how our food was while we were eating. And no, they were not busy.
-When we finally asked for our check, we saw that we were charged $13 for the salad that was supposed to be included with the meal. We were in such a hurry to get out of there, we didn't even want to ask for it to be removed. That probably would have taken another 20 minutes.
-They also charge a fee (I believe 3.5% percent?) if you pay your bill with a credit card.
I could go on and on, but to sum it up, if we would have had cash on us, we would have put a $10 on the table and left while we were sipping on our sodas waiting an hour for our food. Definitely won't be back due to the poor customer service and extra fees for paying the way most all people do now-a-days. 5 stars to the chefs though! Thank you!

This is a mixed review
I was very please with the two servers that worked with us this evening. We were excited to sit outside and after our appetizer it started to rain and we went inside to finish our meal.
We commented on the STOP sign in the menu asking for patience with a longer wait because of a smaller staff. Once inside we read a note on the table about how fresh everything that we were about to eat was. The food was good, The service was good and pleasant.
I paid my pill with a credit card which I use most of the time and when I got my bill I was charged 3.5 % extra for using my credit card. I did not see a sign on the door nor was I told this when I handed my card to my server, I can afford the extra 12 dollars that I was charged but I’m not sure it is legal and I’m sure it is not ethical at all.
Times are tough for many industries but transparency is the root of a good business model. Everyone knows that credit card company’s charge businesses to except their use. I fell cheated!!!
Do not except credit cards or let your customers know in advance of an up charge, Then we can prepare to pay in cash or go to the next restaurant.
Thank you for listening

I had the gnocchi which was mushy and the sauce had no flavor, On top of that since it was a potato based dish it was lacking in quantity. My father had the pesto sauced chicken pasta. He said it was dry and lacked flavor. If u want a good app go here but the entrees are lackluster at best

What a surprise to find this gem in the Northwoods! Enjoyed a couple of fabulous appetizers followed by an excellent excellent dinner! A wonderful atmosphere with great service and awesome live music made for a memorable evening. Can’t wait to go back!

Without question one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in the state of Wisconsin. It's hard to pick a starting point to.list the issues. Ridiculously slow service, half cooked food, bizarre atmosphere (loud live music) -- skip this place at all cost. Close the doors Cin Cin.

Stopped in on a Wednesday on a whim, on vacation, had our puppy with us, we were welcomed on the patio, beautiful day, pleasantly surprised to learn there would be live music. (Santy and Son). What a treat! Talented musicians, good singers, nice mix of
songs. Nice guys.
Abby (our sever) was delightful! A Treasure! Pleasant, smiling, attentive! Thanks Abby!!
Our food was amazing, from the crostini to the delicious house salads with incredible dressings, to the tasty and generous entrees!
Did I mention desserts? We had the Tiramisu and the Cheesecake Platter! Wow!
We would have loved to stay and hear the rest of the band's set, but our puppy was getting antsy.
Next trip Up North we will eat here again.
A Northwoods Gem!!

They make clear that they're under-staffed, with extremely long wait times in the summer of 2021. I'd suggest not going out to any restaurant in Eagle River if you're on a tight schedule. Slow down, be ready for conversation - the wait's worth the fantastic food! 5 stars.

Had an impromptu visit this week mid week for a glass of wine with a friend and we enjoyed ourselves so much we went back again a couple days later and watched live music on the outdoor patio! The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming and the outside seating is nice and perfect for those warm summer days. The restaurant is very clean and the service is on point. I highly recommend checking it out!

Hurt my tooth expecting to have to chew the beef. Meat was too tender. Servers were also too friendly, and perfectly seasoned and cooked Broccoli could not be ordered in bulk. Only recommend if you are interested in real homemade food and good atmosphere. Otherwise steer clear.

Not very impressive for an Italian restaurant. Took over an hour to get meal. The chicken was undercooked. The parmesan garlic was very bland, what garlic? The prices are very high for low quality meal. Not recommended

What a fantastic gem of a restaurant in the northwoods!

We had the pleasure of dining here for the first time on NYE and can’t say enough about how great the experience was.

Vito, our server, was fantastic! While they were busy, he did keep us updated on when our apps and food would be arriving (this was not needed or expected but much appreciated!) Drinks were always full and as the food came out, we were very delighted.

Now the food... Fantastic! They had a special NYE menu but was also making their delicious pizza (get the spicy sauce). The Escargot was awesome and the four-cheese risotto with shrimp, scallops, and lobster tail was phenomenal.

This restaurant brings a great change of pace to the typical bar/restaurants in the northwoods. A small, intimate, family owned and operated restaurant is a gem worth putting on your “to-do” list!

Love this place. Our club comes out from Chicago once a year so we're not there often but we go every time we go snowmobiling.
Even the owner hung out with us for a minute and made everyone feel welcome. Food is on point and drinks are not expensive. I recommend checking out this spot if you're in the area. Tell them Infinite Ryders sent you! 😉

My honey and I spent a spontaneous date-night out and are THRILLED that we came across this gem! Cin Cin provides a quiet, intimate, and relaxing atmosphere where time was no object. Aside from the delicious food and wine, the hospitality and overall experience was outstanding! Our waitress, Rebecca, was very warm, attentive and easy to talk to as well as the owner, Jess who was a pleasure to meet! If you're looking for a change of pace, great dining with some fabulous company...this is the place! We are looking forward to our future experiences at Cin Cin- Thank you!

I was shocked when I opened the menu and saw such a magnitude of not only vegan options, but vegetarian and gluten free as well. The staff is great, the decor is beautiful, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I was thrilled with the service I recieved and each item that came out was even better than the last.

The drinks were great. The music on the patio was great. The ambiance was great. Some of the food was great. The rest of the food, and the related service when we tried to get the food fixed, wasn't so great; in fact, the less that I say about it, the better. We visit Eagle River every year because we have a friend who lives here and this was the first time we've visited this place. Unfortunately, it will probably be the last. Such high hopes!

I had the Walleye, too much crust on top, very odd that the fish had no taste, no salt, all I could taste was just the crust. My potatoes were hard, not cooked, the mixed vegetables were burnt and tasted burnt. Salad was ok, water was good. When I told the waiter he then brought me the check, there was no pen and when I asked him for one, he said oh I gave it to the guy outside. Didn’t even offer to get me one. and I paid $14.36 For water, salad and two sips of coffee. Sad, I live her and too the chance to come here. I will not go back. Too expensive for Eagle River. They are definitely catering to the visitors.

Jessica catered a wedding for us on 6/22/19, and it was excellent in every way! High quality food, beautiful presentation, great service, fabulous staff! We had so many compliments and inquiries about the catering service. We contracted with them last summer and then mostly worked with Michelle. Michelle is awesome to work with: answers all questions in a timely manner, makes suggestions, listens well to needs and wants, and is simply an exceptionally kind person. We had good interactions with both Jessica and Jay, but we communicated over the last year mostly with Michelle. I would highly recommend both the restaurant and the catering business!

Went here for Valentine's Day while driving through Eagle River with my partner (without even keeping in mind that it was Valentine's Day) and was more than delighted and surprised. Fresh flowers were on every table along with candlelight, Jazz music was playing, and the server was dressed formally. They had many specials for the night, including appetizers, entrees, and deserts, all printed on a sleek red and black menu. Food was more than incredible. We had escargot for an appetizer, which was quite an adventure, and then asparagus and prosciutto stuffed chicken. The chef even personally came out to visit our table and ask how everything was. Would definitely revisit if ever in the area again. Well done Bortolotti's Cin Cin.

I dined here with 5 other ladies. We had reservations and were promptly seated. That was the best part of the meal. Our server was new And not well trained. We ordered drinks but they didn’t get delivered for 20 minutes after. We ordered an appitizer. That came out before our drinks and that Tasted good. Four of us ordered salad as our meal and two ordered the shells. We waited 45 minutes for the next course. Then another 30 minutes for the entree. One of the plates of shells was cold in the middle. One was hot all the way through and the salad was mediocre. We had tickets for a show and, even though I allowed hour and a half for food . We were late due to the poor service.

I was super excited to try this place because tapas restaraunts are some of my favorites. the decor and seating are very nice. there is a very nice lounge area with couches and chairs that is super inviting. we enjoyed our antipasto, fried eggplant l and black bean chilli verry much. presented nicely. also had a complimentary crostinis with kalamata tapenade which was very good as well. only downside is that it took 45 min to get our food from entering and there wasn't many customers. I think they only had 1 server on for the whole place though.

Fantastic food, great service.

Everything about our dinner tonight was great. The decor and music set a very nice atmosphere which was accentuated with very tasty appetizers and drinks.

When our main dishes arrived I was floored at the size of mine. I was able to complete about 1/3 of it and got the rest packed up to enjoy later. The spices in the sauce were great and my mostaccioli had plenty of mozzarella in there too.

Overall a great meal that I look forward to repeating in the future.
