We were charged more for beer and wine than the prices shown on the menu, with no notice given. This is deceptive pricing and isn’t allowed under consumer protection rules. Food and service were fine. They did fix the charge when we pointed it out. Customers should check their bill carefully. LOVED spending the night here! My friend recommended the place after she held a banquet here and had so many nice things to say! The rooftop with live music was such a summer vibe. We recently hosted my dad’s retirement party at the Breakwater, and I truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, everything was smooth, thoughtful, and well-executed.

Gabriel, the manager, was wonderful to work with. He was responsive, easy to get in touch with, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. On the day of the event, he truly went above and beyond, even bartending the party himself. He made sure the bar was stocked with my dad’s favorites, which was such a personal and appreciated touch.

The food was fantastic and the menu offered a great variety. Everyone could find something they would eat. We served veggies, taco dip, spinach artichoke dip with pita, BBQ pulled pork sliders, cheeseburger sliders, bacon-wrapped chestnuts (a huge hit), and mini cheesecakes. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

The banquet room itself was perfect for our group. There was plenty of space for guests to sit and mingle. The room stayed perfectly cool and comfortable, which was a lifesaver during the recent heat (and to think I was thinking about having this party at a park!). We had the perfect experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to think about hosting our next event here.

I rarely send a drink back, but one had 3 ice cubes and was just...bad. I've had the worst mixed drinks at this place. I try to like it, because of the music and atmosphere, but every time I come here, I'm disappointed in the mixed drinks and the food is only average at best. You'd be packed if those improved.

We hosted my dads celebration of life at the Breakwater and it was a great space! Gabriel was so easy to work with and patiently answered my thousands of questions. He has been putting in a lot of work upgrading the space and it shows! The rooftop bar was perfect for guests who wanted to be outside.

Had an awesome dinner here on the deck. Great views of the river. Our server for dinner (Keeley or similar name) was phenomenal! Attentive, quick to grab things, and very friendly! After dinner we moved inside and hung out until we were kicked out before 1am. Was kind of a bummer to get kicked out with a very short last call and when hours are listed until 1:30am on weekdays. The food was pretty good, not stellar but not bad by any means, I would say it fits the price range. The service left some to be desired which is why it's a 3 and not a 4. Their seating area wasn't busy at all when we first arrived, maybe another table but it took a while to get the food, which is understandable to an extent. We had asked for a bottle of ketchup when the waitress came back and she brought a very empty one, we used what we could and waited a bit for her to check in but she did not, one of our party (table of 6 nothing major) sought her out and asked for more, her reply was "I don't think we have any more in the back" I can only assume she didn't go and look as we didn't see her again until she brought the check. We sourced our own from another table as they were leaving. We had also asked if the large TV could be switched off of the news to the golf tournament, she said "I don't know but I'll try" and walked away, when she returned with our food did not have a tv remote and did not offer any explanation. Not changing a channel and not bringing ketchup are okay things! It happens, but I think an explanation as to why you cannot complete guests requests is a good thing to do when you are in a hospitality business. I mean nothing against her or the restaurant, it could've been an off day, or issues in the back of the house, my only suggestion is to ensure your staff are trained to provide a high level of customer care. I look forward to coming back and trying again!

Our server was very inattentive. Took way too long to take our order. (There was one other table beside us.) When I went to get the bill I let our server know the food that I received didn’t match the description on menu. She told me I was wrong but went back and looked at menu and came back and said that they talked to the cook and my meal was correct they changed it a couple weeks ago but haven’t updated their menu. Our server was always at the table WHEN we needed him, and did not bother us otherwise. He was a great server. The food was great. I had the Blackened Catfish sandwich and it was delicious. Because it had coleslaw on the sandwich it was messy and fell apart, but it tasted great. It can with French fries and they were hot, a bit too salty, but they too tasted great mom There were 2 events going on and the place was noisy. Although the groups were in other rooms, the dining room was about 1/2 full but too noisy for my liking. I don’t get out much but I thought $6 for a pint of beer was at least $1 too much. The sandwich was $20, again, a bit high.

We had our wedding reception at Breakwater and although we were only hosting about 50 guests, we felt catered to every step of the way. The owner was beyond helpful in the planning and setup, the staff were organized and extremely pleasant, the food was delicious and served on time, and everyone had great things to say. The atmosphere here is perfect for a small to medium sized group and the layout lent itself to a perfect evening. Even during cleanup at the end of the night, the staff were still going above and beyond and were helpful every step of the way. I cannot recommend them enough!

Went to establishment to grab drinks and appetizers, easy order. Ordered an N/A cocktail and Bees Knees, align with pub chip nachos. N/A drink was completely syrup and tart, Bees Knees cocktail had zero ice served with it and god awful, even asked what mixer to put in it(????!!) on a menus cocktail, and pub chip nachos was served cold (cold cheese/meat). 0/3 on a simple order that costed us $40. We really enjoyed it here, the only downside was the salad our daughter ordered. She took one bite and said something tasted off- we determined the cheese was spoiled. I leave this review in hopes of improvement. This place has potential. However, the drinks are wildly overpriced and the food is hit or miss. I want to go somewhere with consistently good food. I ordered the chicken tenders tossed in buffalo sauce. For $17 with no sides I assumed these would be fresh, hand-breaded tenders. Instead, they were frozen breakbush kind. Very disappointing. The side salad I got was pretty good. Also the cheese curds were not great. The flavor was off and half of them were empty shells. Not sure how you screw up cheese curds, maybe they're also frozen? But yeah they were not good. The other people I was with enjoyed thier meals for the most part - a Cuban (missing the pickles though, and when we brought it up the waitress just brought some pickle spears. A Cuban is supposed to have pickles), and a cobb/chef's salad. The service was okay. The waitress was brand new and she tried. Oh, and the bill was $80 for 3 people and we only got waters to drink!

The food was great! I had the Tex-Mex Chicken sandwich and fries. Both the burger and fries were perfectly cooked. They were out of the beer I ordered, but the one I got instead was a fruity nitro that was very good. My friend had an Old Fashioned and it was very good. She said her Shrimp Po’ Boy was good too.
The bartender was not great. He got us everything g we asked for, but he was not personable at all.
The temperature in the bar are was very cold. Both of us were shivering by the time we left.
I would eat here again if I am ever I. The are, but this definitely was not a 5-star visit.

The food is fantastic, the ambience is fantastic, our server Kaylee (sorry if I spelled her name incorrectly lol) was so kind as was the head chef who came to say hello when my husband commented on the yummy brisket special. Such a great experience, even when they were short staffed, they tried to make it feel like you were the only table and not rushed. Just such a great experience. This is the first place we will go if/whenever we are back in this neck of the woods! Thank you for a great experience!

We quit going a couple years ago and decided to try it again this summer. The food and service have been amazing. In my opinion they have the best manager we have seen in a very long time. He is very pleasant and courteous to the customers. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone is taken care of. So happy we tried Breakwater again. It is now our favorite place to go. We have tried different entries and all were excellent.

We had the pleasure of eating there yesterday afternoon. They are short-staffed but that didn't stop them from serving great food in a timely and friendly manner. Our group of 6 was impressed. Some of the best sandwiches we've had in a while. Great views and easy to slip the boat! Great experience!

Poor communication from the wait staff that took an hour to get our food from when we ordered it. It was about 45 minutes in that they explained the cook staff was busy. I get staffing can be an issue or being busy but bar food for 8 should not take an hour from order to table. They were out of fries, the BBQ pork had little to no sauce. Communication to your customer is key. Really disappointed in our experience

Organized my 50 year high school class reunion at the Breakwater which was held on July 1st. Room set up was beautiful, Hollywood recommended a heavy appetizer menu which was perfect for our set up and the food was great, bartenders kept up with our big crowd, the reunion was a big success thanks to the Breakwater owners and staff. I would highly recommend the Breakwater when planning your next event.

Change your hours. Online and when we call it states you are open 7 days a week. Two weeks in a row now you haven’t been open on Monday. Change your hours to reflect that you won’t be open on mondays anymore.

Where should I start. This place is supposed to be kid friendly but 8 pm on a Saturday will have you feeling much different. We opted to eat outside on the patio avoid the “bar” scene. Well the music blaring on the patio was totally inappropriate. It was talking about sucking d licking p and the n word was blaring right through them as well. Not a pleasant experience and was really in disbelief. To top that off we ordered cheese curds that never came. They charged us for a fry we never ordered and the Burria tacos were awful. The beef was as hard as the taco shell. The birria sauce was stiff and dark. If the product wasn’t good to eat at 8 pm stop serving it. I’m not sure if we’ll be back. There’s a much better option on the lake right next door. We frequent both places quite a bit in the summer and can honestly say breakwater won’t be an option on where to stop for dinner after a long day of boating.
