I love Brennan's Market. High quality food and friendly staff. Tonight we had seasoned chix breast sautéed in Olive Oil and extra Penzey's seasoning along with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. It was delicious! Served it with Brennan's red potatoes and steamed asparagus. Very yummy.

You walk in and are slammed with delicious smells coming from the deli then presented an excellent selection of cheeses, wines, fresh produce and flowers. It is a bit pricey but if you're looking for a unique bottle of wine to go with some spectacular and interesting cheese, some craft beers and gifts, then it's worth the trip. We asked for three packages to be sent second day air so that cheese would arrive fresh. They promised to email us tracking numbers.

No tracking numbers were ever sent. We called 5 days later to find that they did not send them via second day air. At this point it looks like it will be over 8 days before the cheese arrives.

That's hardly 2nd day air fresh cheese. That's moldy stank cheese that been left out on the counter for over a week! I'm embarrassed and not sure if the cheese will even be safe to eat.

This is shockingly poor service given the amount and price paid for what used to be perfectly good cheese. Now I have to call my family, tell them the cheese is no longer safe to eat, find a replacement, and get that sent as well.

Excellent produce, always the freshest. Sumo mandarins are in season so I had to get a bunch.
Next in line of favorites is CHEESE. Farmer cheese with fresh basil is the best for a grilled cheese sandwich. For snacking, the dill havarti and finally, bleu cheese for making salad dressing at home.
Friendly customer service everytime.... Wish there was still a Brennans closer to me, but will try my hardest to keep supporting this one that carries on the Brennan's tradition.

We have loved living so close to Brennan's. The products are always great quality. It's usually a bit pricey to do all of your basic grocery shopping here (if you're just an average Joe like me), but we LOVE to get things there for treats and special occasions. They have a fun beer selection (including good NA options), I love their seasonal gummies (always soft and delicious), and, as expected, their cheese is top notch. We always purchased our pizza cheese here as it's one of the few places to get whole fat low-moisture mozzarella, and their brick cheese is great. There are fun cheeses, too, addition to solid basics. We recently moved and boy, we sure do miss Brennan's!

We've never been to the Brennan's in Madison, and we used to enjoy frequenting the Monroe location when it was open. We were glad to have the opportunity to go to the Madison store. The produce, cheese, sausage, dry goods, prepared foods, spirits, and deli selections are all a feast for the eyes! We saw a lot of familiar items, and we saw a lot of different products we hadn't seen before. The store is easy to find, and well worth the stop. We'll definitely return to Brennan's Market!

Brennan's is hands down my favorite grocery store in Madison. They always have a great selection of produce. I love that they also have their own frozen vegetables and fruits (one of the only places I can find frozen edamame). The meat department never disappoints. I ordered some holiday cheese gift boxes to be sent out of state, one of the cheeses had defective wrapping and was moldy when my friend opened it. I've been going to Brennan's for years and have never encountered an issue like this, the product is high quality. I emailed Brennans explaining the issue. Tim, the Owner/Manager responded the next business day and went above and beyond with customer service and had another box shipped out the same day, very pleased.

We recently catered from Brennan's and working with Adam was great!

The Cheese Tray had a delicious variety and everyone loved the Farmer's Basil Cheese.

The Fruit Tray was superb and beautiful.

The sandwiches including a vegetarian caprese were delicious.

We found their prices to be very competitive and the quality of the food was well worth the price.

We had many comments from our 50 plus guests of how delicious all of the food was.

Been coming since they had more than one location. Get your company or birthday gift basket here; it'll have the right combination of items. I'll also grab a piece of fruit or two as a treat - they really do look and taste like the ones you used to order from magazines. Don't expect the butcher to know anything about his meat. I simply asked if they knew where the meat came from and his answer was beef. He then continued with a smart mouth about how he didnt understand what i was asking. This should be a pretty standard question for a place with a butcher counter so i dont understand why i was met with hostility. Absolutely absurd, will not be back. The store itself is alright. Some things are a little pricey but overall comparable to other stores on most items.

This is NOT your grandma's or even your mother's Brennan's. I was a regular under the previous business model and have really tried to like the current situation but I cannot especially after biting into a mealy, dry, and waaaaay over-priced so-called "Chin Dripping" peach. I trusted the Brennan's name. Who knew? Had samples been available I would have known. Produce here has shrunk to basically a non-existent, over-priced after-thought. Don't waste your money unless you like making really expensive smoothies.

Now that I'm on a low sodium diet, I wanted some low sodium cheddar cheese and could not find it here in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Found it at Brennan's Market and it is the best "damned" cheddar I've ever had! Full of flavor with a very robust taste. Had it shipped to me but it was well worth it! Brennan's is a local/WI business haven. This is where the magic happens! I love the curated selection of high quality goods. Brennan's remodeled the interior in recent years and I'm very happy with the layout. The deli is amazing! It would be super cool if Brennan's had cooking classes from time to time that teach us creative ways to use some of their current stock. Overall, Brennan's is my favorite store and I find it to be a great source of items for weekly meals and creative kitchen ventures. :)

They are the BEST place for fresh meats, baked goods from Claussen's German bakery, huge cheese selection like nowhere else. Wine and spirits, magnificent produce in farm fresh packaging. In spring they sell an abundance of beautiful top annuals that you cannot find at Home Depot. The service is personal and accommodating. Love this place.

Love this place! A little pricier than wholefoods generally, but for curated local food. Really has farm-to-shelf vibes, which is likely the case for most of their products! The basil cheese and summer sausages are SO good, the deli foods n soups are amazing, and the sandwiches are =O. Only downside, is that even though it SAYS the cafe is open til 6 or 7 (1hr before closing), its only ever been REALLY open once out of every 5 times we've been there during the supposed opening hours. The people behind the deli counter don't know how to make the sandwiches and the one who does only makes enough to get completely sold out by 2pm or something. I imagine more people would go there just for the sandwiches if it was available for sale more reliably.

Here for the Fish Fry!
Wow it’s so good especially if you get it right on the spot or pickup as it comes off the fryer. The potato sides are fantastic. The slaw too runny so I could take or leave. Even though we grabbed and ate it at home, the fish was still super crunchy and hot. The to-go bag has vents in it so your fish isn’t sweating in there getting soggy. Highly recommend checking this out if you are a fish fry fan. Enjoy!

Awful. They took a massive, thriving market in Brookfield and closed it to focus in this tiny hippie market in Madison. Half the cheeses, half the beer, and hardly any veggies compared to the Brookfield market. Nothing is reasonably priced anymore. Gone is the fun market to sample new and interesting fruits and vegetables... now its basically Fresh Thyme meets Trader Joe's in the footprint of a Kwik Trip. My family and I will not be going back.
