Brew & Oles is amazing:: delicious food, great atmosphere & excellent service! The owner overhead our party asking our server about a wine & she brought a sample to our table. Highly recommend. We love the chicken tenders, filet and Brussels Sprouts appetizer.

When we saw the new partnership with Vos Farms for their ground beef, we knew we had to try it. We had a wonderful dinner and great service. I had the signature burger and my husband had the fish tacos (which he said was so fresh that it didn’t taste like fish). We’re so glad that we tried Brew & Ole’s and will definitely be back again!

We’ve had a great time every time we’ve been here, especially when Mike Suvaka was playing. We were lucky to have the same waitress/server, Taylor, on both visits. She has been friendly, prompt, and personable. The BBQ pork handheld was great!

The restaurant is really nice. The bar area is gorgeous. Everything is very clean. Very relaxing vibe. The women’s bathroom had some considerate touches.
Our waitress was super attentive and friendly.
This place doesn’t rush you out the door. Wait time between ordering and food coming out was relaxed and not rushed - which we appreciated.
We tried a few appetizers, we all got the ribeye steak sandwhich, & we all had a different dessert. Everything was soo good!!! The blueberry peach cobbler was top notch! Highly recommend trying this place out!

Martinis were good. My ribeye sandwich was just okay. Service was poor. In the 15 minutes we spent eating our food we were not checked on or asked if we wanted more drinks. As others mentioned, the price to food amount/quality was a bit high for what we got.
If I/we did return it would be only for drinks and I would sit at the bar in hopes we would get more attention when our drinks have been empty for over 10 minutes. I mean, you are selling alcohol, do you not want to make money off me or rather you just let me sit with an empty glass lol?

Love brew and Ole’s! Beautiful place to dine and drink. Friendly staff and great food. Tonight we ordered the Ribeye…. Do not pass this dish up, it was absolutely delicious. Hands down beats some of the best steakhouses. Perfectly cooked and absolutely amazing potatoes and beans.

We had been waiting to try thia place and finally did. We were disappointed. There where 6 of us, two ordered the 4 piece chicken fingers and only got three. When asked the response was it was a mistake on the menu, and would not honor it. Also, one ordered seasoned fries and got regular. We expected a bigger and better beer selection being a gastropub. The food was really over priced, my grilled cheese--lets just say it was hard to taste the cheese. One person ordered the salad with pulled pork and said it was good. I am sorry but we all rated it as a no return.
And the staff had little knowledge of beers.

Drinks were decent, atmosphere was nice and service was solid. We ordered a couple of cocktails and truffle fries, no issues there. I ordered sea bass for dinner and was very disappointed. Box mashed potatoes. Daily veg was asparagus and cherry tomato. Asparagus was thinner than a pencil and about a month out of season, cooked through and still fibrous. Sea Bass was poorly seared and lacking salt. Poorly designed dish for $48. Was supposed to come with lemon garlic sauce, it didn’t have any, was given some concoction of Italian seasoning drippings when requested. Wife ordered pulled pork sandwich that was lacking flavor as well. Decent concept, poor kitchen execution. If you’re going to charge like you’re building a well composed dish, don’t just half ass it.

Cute little place. First time there. Drinks were OK, food was pretty good. Waiter didn't check very often on drinks or water refills. It was a bit cold inside.

I love your restaurant and the atmosphere! The food I’ve had has been great! My only criticism is your entree selection. You have two seafood (which I don’t eat) and two steaks. I have ordered the ribeye three times and you haven’t had it. That leaves me with one selection. If you can’t get ribeye, take it off your menu and replace it with something you can get and maybe add one more selection. I still love your restaurant, but it does get frustrating when you are always out of something on your menu!

I had the grouper special and my wife had the shrimp and the Brussel sprouts appetizer. The grouper was really good and I would definitely order it again. I think it should be on the menu all the time. The Brussel sprouts are phenomenal. The absolute best ever. Our food came fast and hot. The bartender was very attentive and made a great tequila old fashioned. This is a great B-Town spot. I give B&O 5 stars.

Stopped in for a bite, this place was very clean with romantic lighting. They have an excellent drinks menu. The chips and French onion dip was a delightful change up from just fries. You must stay for the deserts. Had a brown butter cookie, that will live in my head for a while.

As a Burlington local, I write this review out of kindness and well intentions for the restaurant. We love the atmosphere, cocktail and beer options. The frontline staff are very attentive. The food… not impressed. Prices are steep while the quality is mediocre. The front end is done well. The kitchen could be improved. I hope they do well because we love the building and setting.

We’ve been here a couple times. Once for dinner and once for lunch and they don’t disappoint! Spinach artichoke dip is addictive! After their artisan bread was gone, we used spoons to make sure there wasn’t any dip left!
Grilled cheese was loaded with different cheeses and an easy go-to!
We live locally and it’s nice to have an easy option for dining. We’ll be back frequently!

This place has easily the top 5 Cheese Curds I've had in Wisconsin, and certainly a contender for the top 3. The portion size is more than ample for twelve bucks.
They have local beer on tap (albeit more than you can get it from around the corner). (Low Daily! Drink local!).
Large bar top with somewhat limited seating, you may find yourself waiting for a table of 4 on a weeknight. It's worth the wait.
I got the house burger, it was great, although it only came with one strip of bacon. The crinkle cut fries were well seasoned, extra crispy and delicious!
My wife got the chicken tenders. Be advised, one order of the $16 chicken tenders includes 2 tenders. They were fat and juicy, wife gave them a 7/10. Chicken itself was ok, breading/seasoning was very good.
They had an extensive bourbon selection at the bar ,bhowever no immediate pricing was given.
Live music on this particular Thursday evening in the summer, made the environment quite loud.

The food menu is a decent size. However, food options seemed expensive to me. The beer selection isn't the best for a gastropub. It's okay, but I've been to some with a lot more options and styles of beer. The service was good and the food tasted good as well. I ordered the Wedge salad, I enjoyed the salad, and the bacon was quality, but be prepared to cut your own salad...it comes out half uncut for some reason. The atmosphere is nice and they had live music, which was an added bonus. It's important to note, there's a possibility you may have to wait for a table if you go at prime time - dinner time on a Saturday. There was a 30-minute wait for a table for our party of 2, but we ended up just taking the 2 remaining open seats at the bar so we could be served right away. Though I mentioned some areas of improvement, overall, I recommend you try this place out!

Food was good in terms of taste but for what you’re paying it’s not worth it. The service was absolutely horrific. Mixed up one of our tables’ orders with another table. Then proceeded to attempt to bring the food out separately by 22 minutes. Manager attempted to blame poor service on being new rather than taking responsibility.

I would think after them being open a couple of months now that they would have worked out the issues. Sent back our food twice, still came out cold. Very basic menu, not really a good selection. Not sure who designed their menu an options and recipes, but been there a few times now, as the first was just horrendous. Understand that they are new, but it just is a comedy of errors. And for the pricing, especially at the bar, I think they can do a lot better!

Me and my guy went for dinner on Wednesday around 6:00 p.m. Surprisingly, it is very loud in there! The waitress was ill-informed of the menu or offerings. We had to ask what the specials were and she had to read them from a piece of paper appearing very unknowledgeable. Okay fine, we ordered cocktails and an appetizer. The cheese curds were very good but should not be piled in a deep bowl where the ones on the bottom wind up swimming in the oil that the top ones were fried in. He ordered the ribeye steak and I ordered the Chilean sea bass. Entrees do not come with a soup or a salad and no choice on the sides. We both got mashed potatoes with a little bit of broccoli and one piece of cauliflower, which coincidentally is not at all what she described the sides would be. His ribeye steak was absolutely terrible. it was poor quality, had a lot of gristle, and was not cooked to his ordering. It was very rare. not that the waitress would know because she never asked us how our meal was or checked in with us or asked if the steak was prepared properly. They also do not provide steak knives. We also ordered non-alcoholic beverages with our meal and apparently you have to ask for ice in iced tea. At the end of the meal we ordered the dessert special which was a chocolate covered strawberry cobbler. We asked her to describe it she had no idea so she went to the kitchen and came back and described it. It was nothing like she described, actually it was terrible. When we were asked by the food runner if we liked it we said no it was terrible. The waitress said oh I heard you didn't like it, do you want me to take it away, we said yes. Unbelievable but she charged us for it! Bottom line the only thing upscale about this place is the price. We would have enjoyed a meal at Fred's for way less than $135 than this overpriced experience.

Just had dinner that I was so looking forward to. On the phone I was told ribeye was prime grade and filet was choice. I got the ribeye ordered it to be medium. When I got it was a little shocked as it looked like a steak you get with eggs for breakfast and was cooked medium well to well done. Got a baked fish to go the portion was very small for $16 a tiny container of coleslaw and no bread. I was told the fish was ok though. Just so disappointed as I was hoping it would be great as I like one of the owners Diane who is very friendly and informative.

Thank you for bringing an upbeat welcoming atmosphere to Burlington and not rushing our experience!

Not worth the price. Terrible food and cocktails. My fiancé and I went here for a date night, and we waited over 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us at the bar. The drinks were mediocre at best, and I could barely finish mine; it was so bad. I had the espresso martini, which I get almost everywhere I go, and honestly, it was one of the worst I've ever had. My fiancé had the Manhattan that they featured on the menu, and eventually asked to have a beer instead. We decided to try some of the food because we had been there for an hour by the time we got our drinks. We go out quite a bit, and would describe ourselves as foodies. I would assume as a new restaurant, that even with "working out the kinks," you're at least putting good things on the menu. We tried to choose things that would be fairly safe so we went with the truffle fries to start. The fries themselves were good, but the flavor?! oh my god. TERRIBLE. It was so overpowering, and sank to all the fries at the bottom. Also, typically truffle fries come with a garlic aioli sauce, but these did not. We couldn't even get through half of the bowl, or I swear we would become a truffle. Now onto the entrees...I got the Salmon, and it was the strangest plate of food I've ever had at a restaurant. Semi-cold salmon, unseasoned white rice, a few pieces of cauliflower and broccoli, and an overpowering creamy sauce, for $28. My fiancé got the ribeye, and it was completely cold in the middle, and everything was barely seasoned. When we asked the server what they meant by "vegetable of the day," she said she had to go ask. Paying $38 for a ribeye dinner, a small portion of potatoes, and some random vegetable with no other description, it's unacceptable. We can make better food at home, and I don't normally name-drop other businesses, but I've had better meals at Archives. We know better now. Don't waste your money. Whoever the owners are, they don't know what they're doing, and didn't have the right people to give them honest feedback when they finalized this menu. Someone sitting next to us at the bar recommended we try the Liars Club down the street. It was a fantastic experience, and the best espresso martini I've had in a long time. It helped turn our night around.

Had a great time for a Friday Fish Fry here! The food was amazing (we did traditional fish fry and the chef's special), cocktails were beautiful and came out quickly, and loved the layout of the booths so we could still hear each other even though it was busy. Everyone working was genuinely friendly, and the owner came to check in on us as well (she was absolutely lovely). 10/10 will be back!
P.S. do not be discouraged if there is a wait! I really appreciated the hostess encouraging us to go across the street to the wine bar while we waited for our table. It was so refreshing to see a local business supporting the neighborhood!

We've now been to Brew & Ole's 3 times and can't wait to return again! Love the vibes & charm of the restaurant they created while keeping so much of the historic character of the building. The food menu & drink selection are top notch! We've tried several of the fish dishes-- fish fry, salmon, sea bass... all delicious! Haven't been disappointed yet by a cocktail.. and they are all so darn pretty! And the debate between which dessert reigns supreme is a legit debate. But we especially love that this is truly a community restaurant with owners who know so many of their patrons & greet them with smiles & hugs... and a hardworking staff that hustles to create great experiences for their guests. We hope that Brew & Ole's is a mainstay in Burlington!

With the understanding that they are new, we decided to take a seat at the bar. It took way too long for anyone to greet us after we sat. It was incredibly awkward as we saw the owner drying glasses(literally in front of us) and another gentleman assisting her - neither of them glanced at us nor smiled at us. There were two bartenders and they were working so hard. It seemed clear they split the bar and we had the bartender who's main focus was the table orders. She was so incredibly busy - we felt bad for her. It was pretty clear we hadn't been served as we had no menus. The owner could've acknowledged us with a simply hello but she stood facing us drying glasses. Once our bartender had a break she was so sweet and kind. We could tell she was overwhelmed. The chicken tenders state they are homemade which peaked my interest as I didn't want to eat a lot. I ordered a salad and chicken tenders. My husband ordered the fish fry. I requested ranch with both. My order came with neither. Remember how busy my bartender is? It took me a bit to get any ranch. The chicken tenders clearly had been sitting for a very long time. They were so dry - like chewing on bark. I could hardly swallow my bite. They took them off the menu. The chips that came with the tenders were good and the hot french onion dip was good but it clearly also had been sitting as it had a skin on the top. Gross. My salad was good - it was the perfect size for me but it was small and not worth $16. My husband enjoyed his fish. There are so many employees but it is clear they need time to iron things out. I just cannot help but wonder how they can do a $48 steak right if they cannot make fresh chicken tenders.

Service very disappointing. Stopped in for lunch, not busy at all. Ordered roasted brussel sprouts for app. Outstanding! One of the best I’ve had. Lunch came out and we were basically forgotten. We had some time to kill and I was wanting another beer and my wife was going to have a cocktail. Server finally came around after 30 minutes when we were done eating. My “loaded” grilled cheese was a mush mixture, not even avocados, but more of a mash that I get at Costco in the individual serving packets. Wife’s soup was very bland. Basically chunks of chicken in a cream sauce.

Emily the host was all smiles and welcomed us enthusiastically. The cocktails were masterful and again served with a welcoming smile and a genuine thank you. I loved the deep bar with plenty of room to eat at the bar if you prefer. As a shareable I didn’t want to share-it was that good. The pieces of crunchy crusted Italian bread were the perfect size. They were easy to handle because each piece was made individually. Not the usual where you see an entire large piece cut up and all the topping fall off when you pick them up. It was served with a side of the reduction balsamic-love that!! Control your own balsamic adventure! I had the ravioli-the only way to improve would be for it to be just slightly warmer it was fabulous-I will definitely be ordering again. My friend had the ribeye steak sandwich cooked to perfection with that delicious backyard grilled char-spectacular! The sandwich was served with crispy homemade chips and a side of French onion dip-a unique twist you don’t often see. My husband had the fish tacos that had generous portions of fish. His only want would be more of the sauce. My other friend had the wings. Also made to perfection-crispy crunchy on the outside moist and meaty inside. The coating was delicious and the perfect amount. We all will definitely be making this restaurant one in the rotation of regular favorites.

I came here in opening night understanding that my experience wasn’t going to be perfect. I didn’t revive my cocktail until after I had finished my entree. I got the blackberry gin cocktail - it was delicious but not worth the hour wait. I got the salmon for dinner and they forgot the cream sauce. This miss was quickly fixed and turned out great. The food came out quickly for how busy it was. I also waited for 20 minutes to receive the tiramisu to go. I felt like management/ownership was busy socializing rather than running the restaurant. Ok enough of the mediocre stuff - your hostess/bussers were INCREDIBLE. Those ladies were working so hard. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly!! My waitress was truly so kind and personable. The ambiance is also wonderful. I sat by the window and was able to read some of my book while there. Congrats on a busy night! I hope to come back and change your star rating.
