Brick House Restaurant – Fond du Lac Favorite

I always enjoy my visits to Brick House restaurant in Fond du Lac. The atmosphere is really unique—it has a cool steampunk vibe that makes the dining experience feel special and a little adventurous.

Their cocktails are top-notch, and my absolute favorite is the Ginger Apple Crisp. It’s flavorful and refreshing, and they garnish it with an ultra-thin apple slice that adds a nice touch.

As for the food, I can’t get enough of their Poke Nachos. They’re delicious and come topped with these tiny, sweet red peppers called Sweety Drop peppers that really elevate the dish.

I always recommend Brick House to anyone looking for a great place to dine in Fond du Lac. Between the ambiance, creative drinks, and standout food, it never disappoints!

I came upon this place by accident and I was absolutely impressed, kid friendly with a game room, lots of really cool mechanical and welding related art in the walls, and on display. I ordered one of the fish specials,it was very good ! I was super surprised because I am picky about my fish. This really is a neat place ! I did not pay much. Right ON to the owners !

Handn’t been there in a while since it opened originally, so gave it two chances recently. One was on 1/15/25. Had the ruben egg rolls & an old fashioned, very good. My husband had a cider beer & mac and cheese. He was very pleased until he found a hair in the mac & cheese. Enjoyed the Irish music & atmosphere. Went again during the Galentine’s Day event downtown on 1/25/25. Server was very nice and friendly, but service was very slow. We (table of 3) put in drink & food orders right away at 12 when we arrived & didn’t get food until almost 12:45. Sever was very delayed to close out our checks & lady at the bar was not very friendly/helpful either. A bit frustrating whene we were on a time crunch for the event & supporting a local business.

Food was great! The usual American you find in most Wisconsin restaurants, but I enjoyed it. Unique atmosphere and really well priced drinks. There is a little "game" room upstairs that is more adult than kid friendly, which was a much welcomed feature. They games are paid in quarters, but they have a change machine. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Would come back.

Had a wonderful time for my first time back since it used to be the old restaurant, Main Exchange.
Wow! The remodeling of the place is unbelievable! The upstairs is a huge bar/party area with an arcade. All wooden floors, absolutely beautiful!
The downstairs has a bar and restaurant area, along with some live entertainment. The band was playing Irish music and it was a blarney good time indeed!
The staff is very kind, especially the bartender, Katelyn 🍻
Definitely a place to check out; to have some good food, good drinks, and a grand gathering of like~minded peeps!

My husband and I had lunch at the Brick House today..our 1st time.
We decided to eat at the bar. The bartender Kate was so welcoming , friendly and attentive so we felt right at home. The place is amazing and filled with local refurbished artwork. Kate encouraged us to walk around and explore. So much to see and admire. As for the food
my husband had the Cubano sandwich and I had a chicken sandwich with deepfried pickles. Arugula and a hot honey aoli . We loved our food. We both chose soup as the side which is one of the choices that comes with the sandwich and was delicious as well. We are looking forward to coming back and trying some more options. Bravo 👏

Brickhouse has been an amazing place to hang out and have a fantastic meal. The service even when super busy are extremely friendly and order is correct even down to the little detail. Tried when they first opened and was not impressed but decided to give another shot since it's been years later to try again with a small group of friends. I do have to say the service was great and it was really nicely decoeated. Plus the game room was fun! But all 6 of us got something different so we could all sample the menu and we were all definitely disappointed. Spent $70 ish per couple, not including tip. Definitely not worth it. And on top of that we all got sick a few hours later. And felt it into the next day.

Great atmosphere and service. Arrived on a Saturday around noon and they were short-staffed, but keeping up quite well. The food was delicious and the service was just as attentive. Our family loved the upstairs game room with air hockey, foosball and other fun options. Looks like it would be a great place for an event. Food was good, but not worth the wait. Fri night. Arrived at 6:15pm. Dinner for 2. Well over an hour wait to get seated. Finally done eating at 8:40. No where to sit, while waiting. Meanwhile there were open tables the whole time we were waiting to be seated. Didn't want to fight the bar to try and get a drink, so we didn't. Once seated the waitress came to get our drink order, we said we were ready to order. She said she had to get the drink order first and come back. Then we order an appetizer, she daid she had to leave to submit that, then she finally came back to get our order. She was quick about it, however it was completely unnecessary and would've been easier & faster to take the whole order at once. The appetizer was done way before the meal anyway, it didn't need to be a "rush rush" situation. Poor man's lobster was kinda mushy, beer battered cod was great. Overall food was good, but the wait time was not worth it. Probably won't be back unless we're eating at 9:00 pm.

My first visit to the Brick House and I was pleasantly surprised.

I don't usually go for a steam punk decor but it worked in the space the restaurant is in. It's a large couple of rooms with plenty of space to move around in, which is very nice. It's an old building and while the waitress wasn't sure about the history of the building, it's such an impressive interior I wanted to learn more.

I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad with grilled shrimp on a bed of arugula....wowzer!!! I was actually impressed.
My friend said, "What the heck, I'll try it too". It was delicious 😁

The shrimp was grilled to perfection and was flavor packed it's like 2 meals on the plate. You can choose your protein but this was definitely the right one.

The salad has fresh avocados on it which I haven't had before and it was a great choice. All these things are married together with blood orange vinaigrette topped with goat cheese and pecan pralines, on a bed of arugula.

I would have appreciated more goat cheese on it and possibly a little more pecan but I'd still go back and order it again.

Another person in our party ordered sushi and I've never entertained the idea of even trying sushi but my friend said it was very good, she wasn't wrong.

I just had a different pic than what was brought out to me. As for service, I get it because they were short staff. Place has nice ambiance but that’s about it. Went at 4, took over an hour to get our food with only two people in front of us. Food was mediocre at best; definitely not worth the price. Boneless wings were literally the size of meatballs. I really thought we just were served Tyson’s anytizers. Korean BBQ lettuce wraps… first of all please stop using romaine lettuce. If you can’t eat it without the lettuce breaking/flopping down/falling apart, there’s a flaw that needs to be addressed. There’s a reason why everyone else uses iceburg lettuce; it can actually hold the food. Second, don’t label as “Korean BBQ” if you are literally going to just put seven pork belly crumbs on there. Flavor was decent but so not worth it.

Met friends there for lunch and they were able accommodate our group. Had a great waitress who kept an eye on to make sure she waited for people to show. Very sweet. My husband had the parmesan steak gnocchi, it wasn't good. Basically it was over done beef roast with flavorless gnocchi. Not really worth $20. I got the "Korean style mini tacos." Honesty it was just 8 regular mini tacos like I can get at any bar. Not what I thought when paying $10. For whatever reason I thought it would be real Korean tacos. I even asked the waiter and from what he described I thought I was getting actual tacos. I got a slice of their homemade brick cake. Also not impressed. My husband and I will go for drinks but not the food. I don't understand all the hype.

One of my favorite Fond du Lac restaurants. Thanks Lauri and staff for making my cocktail party a breeze! My charcuterie board was a work of art, with something for everyone! My picture doesn’t do it justice. Brickhouse is my new go to for party planning.
After the party, we had dinner at the restaurant. The mahi-mahi tacos were fabulous. We had a wonderful time gathering with old friends and were not rushed out. The staff is wonderful.

Clean and friendly. Great service. St. Patrick's Day corned beef and cabbage dinner was weird. Had a very sweet sauce on it and was a bit dry. I will return to try regular menu items because it was an otherwise very nice experience.

Delicious fish fry Friday. Great beer selection. Completely refurbished and spacious dining area. Going back again next week. Game room upstairs with a 2nd bar for overflow or just more space. Clean bathrooms. Just real classy...

Oh boy! Great atmosphere! Some pretty cool metal artwork hanging around on walls of brick. Service was excellent and they were pretty busy. We had the bricks of fried cheese! Also ordered some Reuben wontons. Two of us had the Cubano. One person had a beet salad with shrimp. Everything we ate was excellent and the beer was cold!
