My sister and I had dinner at Bricks & Stones on Wed., 9/3/2025. This was my first time eating here. We enjoyed the Wednesday Special which included an appetizer, pizza of our choice and two Caesar salads all for $30. The food was fresh and delicious and the presentation was great. The staff were friendly. We met the owner, Brookelynn who really has a great restaurant and has put great thought into the menu. She has done a great job redesigning the building and the decor is pleasant and inviting. Very clean restaurant. I can't wait to revisit with my husband.

I went to bricks and stones for the second time. The first time the food was fabulous. The second time it was okay, not my forte, but still it was okay. Absolutely FANTASTIC food!! We've had dinner food and the brunch now. There is ABSOLUTELY no way we would not come back. Thinking they need a bigger audience. Best Old Fashioneds out there. They set the bar!! The owner even came up to make sure we were enjoying ourselves! It's such a family place.

I love that they have so many gluten free options! They have also been expanding their menu to include more sides, build your own pizza options, and more pizza sizes. This is my favorite place it eat in the area, we don’t even consider other options any more, if we are going to eat out and stay local, we are eating at Bricks & Stone!

After reading all the rave reviews, we were sadly underwhelmed. I am hoping the kitchen staff was just having an off night. Six of us were dining and all 6 were disappointed. Dinner: Fried cod was over cooked. All 3 who ordered baked cod said it was cold and had to scrap the topping off. It was tough and over salted. Onion rings were undercooked and over salted. The French onion soup had no broth and was cold. Sweet potato fries and tater tots were good. Corn bread was good. Tartar sauce was great. The coleslaw was awful. All 6 of us pushed it away. Dessert: cheesecake flights were good, the crust on the caramel apple pizza was impossible to chew through and the brandy Alexander just tased like nutmeg stirred into freezer burnt vanilla ice cream. Conceptually great but majorly lacking in quality control. I hope our experience was a one off. Our server was great and the atmosphere was great. May try it again sometime down the road but won’t be running back.

What a great experience, the staff was wonderful. The food is definitely worth a travel to try the pizza. Our server Alyssa was great and did an outstanding job, even for her first day. We had the garlic chicken pizza and it was delicious, bang bang shrimp was great and the cocktails were good. Defiantly finding our way back.

Tonight was our first experience at B&S. We would have been here much sooner if we didn't live out of town. Brookelynn, the owner, is an expert in her craft. I worked alongside her when this establishment was an Italian family restaurant and sports bar. She had been working there as a server since she was old enough to get a work permit. At the time she was finishing her hospitality degree in the midst of a global pandemic. Brookelynn never let up on her passion. It has sure paid off.

The size of the dining/bar area is perfect for the village and the combination of rural and chic atmosphere caters perfectly to the clientele, locals and travelers alike. Brookelynn also created an absolutely imperative banquet area. This space is large enough for a wedding and intimate enough for a baby shower. Exactly what the Orfordville, Footville, Brodhead, Evansville area needed. I am a Footville native and Parkview graduate.

The food and drinks are TOP NOTCH! My mouth has been watering since Bricks and Stones came to fruition and finally was able to satisfy that empty spot in my heart and stomach. This pizza menu is beyond what you could ever wish for, no joke. The crust is the perfect crispness, hand pulled and baked in an original "Italian pizza joint" oven. I've had wood-fire pizza and this is better. The menu offerings are trendy enough for the serious foodie and traditional enough for the farmer down the road. The same can be said about the cocktails and beer menu. You can have a traditional sconnie old fashioned or take a spin with a fun twist on the traditional. Have a sweet, tart, and salty original margarita, OR try a margarita flight of several different flavors. Also, don't forget your guilty pleasure for dessert or after dinner drink.

Don't forget to leave an appropriate gratuity. This day and age you should really leave AT LEAST 20%. Not kidding. These servers and bartenders are the best in the area. Make sure they know it.

Props to Brookelynn and Bricks & Stones for creating exactly what this area needed. We will be back and will highly recommend that others stop in!

We stopped in here for a Sunday brunch. Finding the way in was a little confusing as the front door (corner entrance) is not the main entrance for the restaurant. It is also a little confusing because you can't really see a seating area when you walk in. With that said, the food was delicious and not what I expected.

Typically small-town restaurants are pretty much the same with a different twist. This place is its own restaurant through and through.

The burgers were great and came with a good amount of steak fries.

We also tried a few samplers. The cheese curds are awesome with their house-made ranch.

The arancinis are delicious with the marinara sauce.

If you are driving through or looking for a local place, it is a worth the country drive!

Note to Google- the name of the restaurant is Bricks and Stones- not "Brooks". Been here x2 with my husband and we loved the homemade sauces and dressings - they made us want to lick our plates. We had the land and sea as well as pulled pork sandwich , Cesar chicken salad and the cheese curds are to die for! Great cocktails come from the well-stocked bar and overall a really nice atmosphere- I would describe the decor as Americana. They have a really cool vintage US flag adorning one full wall and accessible bathrooms and ample parking. The staff are friendly and work hard to please. They even customized one of their desserts to remove the gluten for me.(see strawberries and cream dessert photo) LOVE this place and it's fun to road trip a little off the beaten path to Orfordville to experience the attention to detail Bricks and Stones offers. It is just south of Janesville and worth the trip. We took a peek at their lovely banquet space too.

This was a great find! If you haven't tried Bricks and Stones yet, it is worth a visit. We tried several appetizers and had several of their drinks concoctions. The drinks were phenomenal and the marinara sauce was delish. The best part of our first of many visits was our waitress Bridgette. She helped us with all of our questions and made excellent recommendations. We will be back soon!
