Out for a drive and looking for a place to eat. Food was amazing. Pickle chips and cheese curds hand breaded and best we all have had. We had hamburgers and BLT with coleslaw. It was all so good. Service was very friendly and fast. Check them out yummy

Wife and I have a weekend cabin in LaFarge and know Shannon so we wanted to check out her new place. Definitely not a disappointment! I had the catfish which I typically never order but it was the best I've ever had and she had the haddock which was also amazing. Shannon always does it top notch! Stop in, you'll be glad you did!

Stopped in Saturday afternoon. No bartender in sight. Very busy. Talked to a couple who were also waiting. Waited 10 minutes and still saw no one behind the bar. Headed out the door. Why be open if no one is working? Want to give zero stars but cant.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch a few days ago and absolutely loved their Bloody Mary’s! I had a burger made from the best local hamburger. I literally devoured it. My wife had just a simple chicken sandwich which was also really delicious.Well Done!! We’ll definitely stop in again!

This was a random stop while traveling through DeSoto. The food and service were amazing. The staff were super friendly and very tentative to all of our needs. Highly recommend when in the DeSoto area stopping by for some breakfast or lunch.

Very rude. I had kids and they shut us off from the rest of the place. My kids weren't even being that loud, had hair in the food. The fish was even cooked all the way! The waitress was very rude, like the worst I've ever seen. I would give this a zero star if I could!

Went for breakfast this morning to find out Bright Spot has new owners as of the beginning of July. Won't be going back. Prices are good if the new owners keep the same. Some things went up in price but if don't look at the bulletin board in the restaurant you wouldn't know until you got the bill. It's cash only but you aren't told that until you get your bill. No sign anywhere saying cash only. The owner is the only one serving. They were busy you wait along time to be acknowledged when you arrive. The server/owner quite rude. Probably in the wrong business. We questioned our bill because it seemed high and she actually said to be quiet while she was adding. She ended up charging us $5.50 for toast. Then charged us $1.50 for toast when the price on the menu was $1.00. She said that was an old menu and looked at the other menus and they all said $1.00. Ordered a bloody Mary and never received it. The egg sandwich had only one piece of bacon and the order of toast was barely toasted, with no color. I couldn't even ask to have it remade because the she never came back to ask how things were. Also breakfast only served until noon, no where did it say that unless you ask. If somethings don't change this restaurant won't make it with the new owners longer than a year.

This was a great surprise. It's a down-home place with friendly owner and people socializing for a great morning breakfast. I've come here for the past 20 years and the last 10 have gotten worse but the last 5 have been horrendous. It takes 10 minutes to get a menu another 10 for a drink, no one checks on you if you need more drinks and tonight they forgot our order and we're there for 1.5hrs before we finally got served after the 3 groups that came in after us. This place used to be a favorite but I'll never go back again until it's under new management or they finally hire younger staff to help run the business efficiently.

It's never been very busy when we've stopped in. The owners and regulars are watching old westerns on the only TV, which isn't all that bad. The food is pretty good. We're wondering if they could set the door alarm to something not quite so irritating, as it's telling everyone which door is being opened all the time. All heads will turn as you walk in the door, just say "howdy" and find a seat.

Waited over an hour for breakfast- while every table that came after us finished their meals. Staff mostly ignored us until we approached after that hour...and suddenly the food was ready. It wasn't worth the wait. My french toast was literally just toast with egg cooked of the bottom of it. Some of the food came out cold, and with small side portions- my side of ham was smaller than a deck of cards. Worst breakfast I've ever had.

Me and my Girlfriend came in for dinner. We were immediately greeted with a smile and told we could sit anywhere. We sat down ordered drinks and an appetizer. Stopped here for the first time today. Took us 20 minutes just to get water and menus. One couple walked out because of this. Food took another 40 minutes!!! The food was the most horrendous I’ve ever had. The eggs were burnt on the bottom and tasted like the grill was never cleaned. Hash browns were forgotten and came out late. Eggs were sunny side up instead of over easy. Husband received wheat instead of white toast. The biscuits and gravy order was never placed in the kitchen. The quality of food and service needs improvement here!

We are the only people in the place. We have been sitting for twenty minutes after our order was taken. How long does it take to cook a couple of eggs and some biscuits and gravy! Wow, very slow service. No social distancing. Staff not very friendly at all. I would NOT recommend this establishment at all.
