Looking for GF options in Mount Horeb? Look no further! Brix has delicious GF and standard fare, including yummy salads, burgers and sandwiches on GF buns/bread, and house-made hard ciders and liquors. My favorite menu item is the hummus plate - fresh veggies, blue corn chips, and a generous portion of bright pink beet hummus. Reasonably priced kids' meals include personal pizzas and a hot dog with side. For a sweeter hard cider, I like Jam Sesh and Troll Juice.

I helped my daughter at the art fair today and visited the restaurant several times. The atmosphere is so cute and relaxing. The smoked mushroom sandwich is bursting with so many flavors, the brix old fashioned and the lemon lavender ice cream are delicious. Highly recommend stopping for something yummy!

This is a serious farm to table restaurant that identifies where all its food comes from. Tried the lamb gyro flatbread. Beautiful presentation flavorful but meat not hot and you really needed a steak knife to cut it up. Apple cider vinaigrette on salad. Enjoyed my cider flight, but none jumped out at me. Mostly self serve. Eclectic decor, outside patio right by Military Ridge Trailhead.

I tried cider for 1st time with my friend. Not a fan of how sweet it was but seems to be this place's thing since they make it. A bit pricey for what it was but everything is now. We did not eat here so I have no idea on the food. The atmosphere seems to be very open about it's ideology and politics here.

Fun time at the Thursday open mic night. My duo GUPPY EFFECT performed and were well received by the chill patrons of the establishment. Yummie ciders. Not many vegan food options, but that's OK.

This place is amazing. Here for a wedding and we came back the next day because it was so good. The bruschetta special was amazing and looked like it should be on a food show. Everything is locally sourced and they have a giant map of where there food comes from in Wisconsin. They name the farms when they can. Best food on the whole trip. Cider flavors are excellent as well. Staff was super friendly.

I normally give positive reviews to area restaurants. It seems like a noble cause to provide locally sourced food. But for what you got for food and drink, the prices were just too high. Based on my total experience I felt like this restaurant was a charity case.

A nice place to visit and have a drink that's off the path from Madison. Their earlier opening hours are nice if you're traveling through.

Good variety of cider to pair with any preference! I did not try the food except a cookie (which was good).

Didn't spend much time nor had heard of this town before visiting, but Brix really have bought into the general theme of the town, and have a heavy preference on using hyper local ingredients, which is always good to see.

Visited this gem for cider while out with a friend from Madison. The trip wasn't too far, and the town was super cute! I enjoyed the two cider flights we tried, and liked about 2/3 of the ciders. My friend liked about 1/3 of the ciders. There weren't many people at lunch time the day we visited, but the atmosphere was super comfortable, relaxed, and friendly staff. I would love to have stayed longer and gone on an evening when they have the live music/shows. I would definitely go here and to this town again if I visit Madison soon!

This is a great place. It's got a hip, warehouse vibe, lots of killer art everywhere, board games, ice cream, and outstanding cider. The staff were kind and informative. But mostly, the food was really fantastic. Gouda grilled cheese with coconut soup hit the spot. The different ciders were a treat as we normally don't drink cider. They have live music, we played chess, the whole vibe was hipster premium. We just stopped off for lunch while rolling though town. However, it's great to know that there is a cool place to stop off in out West of Madison. In fact, the whole town looks great. Maybe a day trip just to Mt. H.

This was our first visit and left very much impressed! Our food was excellent, and I have to say I picked the best place to try hard cider for the first time. Brix offers farm-to-table dishes, and I love that they use locally sourced ingredients and meat. The vibe of the place was awesome, there were several flyers promoting open mics and game nights. You can also purchase merchandise, and there is a cooler offering other beverages such as Spotted Cow etc. Great place in downtown Mt. I took my kids here during a short roadtrip vacation. I had the Wisco gyro which was absolutely delicious and the Cosmic Queen cider.. it was pretty good, too. My son loved his pizza and my daughter wasn’t a big fan of the hot dog but i think that is because she is used to a certain brand and she’s my picky eater. She did like the chips, apple and root beer. The ambience is amazing and very friendly staff. The kids even got in a few games of foosball :)

I stopped in at Brix Cider tonight for a bite to eat.

I had the Grass fed burger with greens and a house dressing.
It was fabulous. The greens were varied, fresh, and lightly dressed with a few slices purple radish.

The burger was delicious with melted gouda and garlic aioli but the piece de resistance of the meal was the sourdough bun with toasted edges. The the meal was a beautiful marriage of ingredients from Wisconsin Farms.

Thank you for dinner!

So disappointed in this establishment. as another reviewer pointed out, be prepared to pay top dollars for mediocre food! Tried several dishes and everything was flavorless. Great staff, great vibe. My issue is the food. But pricey for what I would describe as 'mid'. Cheddar soup tasted like old broccoli, spinach artichoke dip was mostly cream cheese. Ciders are fine. It feels as though you are paying for plating over true quality of Everything else was unimpressive. A bit weak. Growlers and the live shows are the main draw. Improve the food and I bet this place would really be THE spot.

Okay place, wanted to like it more bc the local food. Food was good but nothing special. Wanted to sit outside but only two tables are in the shade so that was a no go. Need a shade structure outside. Sat inside but had to clean our own table of the previous person's mess. Then kids started playing foosball, which is cool to have in theory, but not in practice. It is an old table with metal sides and makes a loud and grating noise. Very annoying, feel sorry for the workers that have to listen to that all day.

Unfortunately we can’t give this place a good review 🥺 my family is local and had never tried it here before. We were all very excited about the fresh food concept! We arrived and ordered at 6:18pm. It wasn’t too busy and most people who were there already had their food. We have a 2 year old who got a quesadilla, my husband ordered the beet and blue salad, I got the vegan mushroom sandwich with cider soup, and my mom got the mushroom and Swiss burger. 7:18pm rolled around and we still didn’t have any food. The two year old could have at least got his food in this amount of time. He was getting restless at this point and I had to ask where our food was. About 10 min later the food finally came out. The beet and blue salad didn’t have any blue cheese on it. The mushroom sandwich was really spicy, and not much to it for $15. The cider soup was really good and so was the mushroom Swiss burger. It unfortunately was Not worth the long wait. The woman working behind the counter did bring us 2 cookies out, but there were 4 of us so that really wasnt necessary Also, she said she would be refunding the salad because of it not having the cheese. We won’t know if that was refunded until it clears the Cc.

Of course, the greens and cinnamon sugar dressing are amazing as well. For dessert, I caved on my favorite kind of treat - apple cherry bread pudding! Tart cherries and sweet apple bits compliment each other perfectly and I left Brix stuffed and satisfied. Friendly service always helps and they have a great staff.

I must say I impressed by Brix. The food is exceptional, local, and fresh. For that reason, their food evolves with the seasons, as it should. They have a series of local treats from surrounding farms or artisans. Loved the hot cider!! I’ll certainly come back!

I love how many fun flavors they have. I thought the flight was a bit expensive at $12 but I did enjoy trying a lot of different things.

I love how the food and cider menu evolves throughout the year. I miss their fish tacos though. We love trying new things here. I can't say I have a favorite flavor of cider as it always changes with the season. We had a lemon lavender cookie here that was to die for! I hope I can get one when I come back. This is a nice laid back place to hang out.

Excellent Cuban as a special, delicious.
Ciders were very good, lemon-basil was an exquisite taste and the Wisconsin old fashioned was good. The blueberry was a bit sweet and not a strong blueberry flavor.

The cider was tasty and fresh, but I can't believe that it serves the glass half empty for 6$. The waitress didn't even pay attention to what she was doing.
