Decided to have brunch at 12 noon and there was a small queue of around 6 people. Service was quick and everything got served in 10mins. I ordered the Prime Benedict from their specials menu board which was really good especially if you prefer something else other than ham in your Benedicts. It is really more conducive for smaller groups cause of the way it is laid out. First time here. We were on our way to the Dells and hungry for some breakfast. The place has a nice retro feel to it. The stainless steel diner has been well cared for and updated enough to make it more comfortable for staff and customers. There are some tables out front and two different seating areas inside (it's bigger than it looks). All the cooking is done behind the counter, where you can see it all happening. It can be a bit noisy as the metal spatulas hit the grill, but you can still have a reasonable conversation. It's a busy place, and the servers are efficient, with a no nonsense approach to taking your orders.

The menu is large, with lots of traditional favorites (no avocado toast here). There were two pages of breakfast items, and it was a tough decision. We ordered a number of different items: corned beef hash, pancakes, and potato pancakes with eggs and sausage.

It did not take very long to get our food. Very good portions, everything was plenty hot, and all flavorful. Everyone was happy with their choices. The corned beef hash was not the kind you get from a can. It was large, fresh pieces. The pork sausages were plump and well seasoned. The poached eggs were perfect. My only complaint: I ordered my potato pancakes extra crispy, but they didn't seem "extra" to me (extra extra crispy next time). The regular pancakes were good, but not fluffy enough to be "excellent".

A very nice place for breakfast, and somewhere we would return to.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but unfortunately, I found both a long and a short hair in my omelet towards the end of my meal. The food was delicious up until that point, and I was really enjoying it. I brought it to the waitress's attention, and while she assured me she would inform the kitchen, we didn’t receive an apology or any offer of compensation. The service was decent—nothing extraordinary—but overall, the food is still tasty. I hope this was just a one-time issue, as I’d love to return if things improve.

Seriously. Do yourself a favor and have breakfast here. It’s absolutely phenomenal on every single level. The quality of the food is ridiculous - everything tastes scratch-made.

Corned beef hash is legit - huge chunks of brined brisket with fresh cut new potatoes and delicious onion. Not at all greasy and perfectly seasoned. It’s the absolute real deal.

Sawmill gravy is to die for. It’s god-tier delicious, and this is coming from a guy who doesn’t really like gravy. It’s packed with flavor and has a perfect texture. Get it as a side. Bathe in it. It’s that good.

Eggs and bacon? Insanity. The thick cut bacon has a hint of sweetness and just the right amount of smoky goodness. It’s roasted to absolute perfection.

The breads? Homemade. Ugh. They just do everything right here.

Service was fantastic and the pricing was super reasonable. If I lived closer, I’d be here every single day. Baraboo - you have an absolute gem of a diner. I’m envious!

We recently hired Broadway Diner for our wedding catering and could not be happier with that decision! We tried many of the preferred caterers from the list our venue gave us, and Broadway Diner was BY FAR the most delicious and reasonably priced option. We chose the Tuscan pasta and vegetarian lasagna for our entrées, and the parslied red potatoes, steamed green beans, and roasted butternut squash for our sides. Everything was fantastic, and our guests raved about the dinner for days after the wedding. They were super easy to work with and even accommodated our vegan and gluten free guests by providing another entrée option and using vegan butter for the sides. We could not recommend them enough!!

We had a dinner catered by Broadway Diner, 7/3/2025, for 36 kinfolk in town for our family reunion. The menu choices were extensive and the ordering process was smooth. We had a dining tent set up on our property. We opted for 2 entrees, pork tenderloin and lasagna, and four vegetable sides. The food was all delicious and plentiful so we enjoyed terrific leftovers throughout our gathering. It was a rather hot night, but our server, Spencer, was upbeat, friendly and helpful. We appreciated that family members with dietary needs were accommodated. Brittany was very easy to work with and responded quickly to my questions. Our experience with Broadway Diner catering was 100% successful and we highly recommend their service!

I use to frequent this Diner (was then Rosie’s, located in Groton, CT) back in the 80’s. It was a well loved place then, and I am so happy/grateful that she lives! One and only experience… Was waiting for a friend to show up and came a tad early to grab a table and have some coffee. Told the hostess I had one more coming and they told me to take a seat up front in the un-heated front area and then let them know when everyone was here. I said “I can’t sit and have coffee while I wait?”… “nope”.

Mediocre diner food, shiny outside… that’s about it.

I updated my review because the server we had was pleasant after we sat down. While I understand the implications of a review, reviews are also a representation of the experience a customer had. That policy makes sense, but giving a blunt “Nope” without any explanation, offer to sit at the counter while I wait, or even “can I get you a cup of coffee while you wait in the cold front area?” Nothing, is a bit off putting and felt like my business wasn’t wanted/needed.

That’s fine if they are following a policy, and it makes sense, but there can also be a bit more politeness or customer service to it. I was still a paying customer…

Walked in, saw 2 people in waiting area. The entire bar was wide open with seats, I proceeded to sit down with my wife at the end of the bar. The hostess comes over and said “sorry but there’s a wait, I’ll put you down”. We were looking for a fun little diner on a recent mother daughter trip. We found this place and decided to give it a try. We are so happy we did. Sitting at the counter the waitstaff and cooks put on a show of tight space speed, it really is something to behold. BE AWARE FOR OFF SEASON for pet friendly option. We dined in Broadway years ago. We were traveling with our GSD. I was so excited I saw them on Bring Fido app and that we get to have their food again. Went to WI for a weekend. We got there only, to find out there is no patio. Weekend was gorgeous, 80 degrees weather. I told about Bring Fido and ask if they can provide table and 2 chairs. I've been told it was all put away when it got colder days ago. We still ate there, as it was no time to drive around. I regret Diner had not responded to my messages, would they do, We would use Moose jaw Pizza and Brew All you can eat breakfast buffet. Plenty of outside tables, we were just there for diner a night before. Eating eggs from Styrofoam containers in the car does not taste the same. Ordered 2 extra eggs for husband and he never got it. I did not want to come back and forth anymore. Ordered large coffee and it was served in Coca-Cola like cups, with lid for straws. Unable to drive and drink from those cups. This made our parking stop longer. Too bad noone was thinking to leave some tables on the side. Just in case. Fall weather could be good until middle November.
