We have driven by this place for years. Assumed it was just another bar. We finally decided to see what all the fuss was about with running consistent 4-5 star reviews.
We were so surprised. What a fun modern clean restaurant with a bar and an entire outdoor area with firepits and comfy Adirondack chairs. My thoughts shifted from "well it isn't a dive bar it must be overpriced Dells sub par tourist food". Again. So very wrong.
Seated quick and drink orders taken. It was a pretty slow rainy Monday and relatively quiet so I have no idea what busy looks or sounds like. Server wasted no time but was still friendly.
We ordered some tap beers, We got a massive cheeseburger with plentiful fries, a single visit salad bar that used actual regular sized plates and not the small salad plates you get at most places. And the split pea and ham soup. Everything was delicious and flavorful and homemade. The salad bar, though small, offered the regular salad offerings and also coleslaw, potato salad, a chicken type salad, Dill ranch dip for veggies and toppings. I had the ranch dressing and it was so good. It was all fresh and flavorful. I was stuffed and could barely eat the cup of soup I ordered.
Prices are consistent to most places with the economy being what it is. Not way overpriced though.
The only downside was the news was playing on the overhead TVs. When I eat out I do not want to be reminded of real life, especially now, with all bad news. Put on music or sports of some sort not news.
All in all it was a great experience and we will be back.

Bronco Billy's was highly recommended to us for the Friday night fish fry while we were staying in the Dells for a girls night out. Excellent service from our bartender and server. We were served our food within 10 minutes of ordering. Our Blackberry Old Fashioned were delicious. Great good, great prices and great atmosphere. We will definitely be returning customers!!!!

We went to Bronco's on Sept. 11, 2025 to watch the Green Bay Packers play Washington and had eaten there. When we got there the parking lot was full and almost left, but I said no that I wanted to stay. We walked in and I was surprised by how beautiful the newly remodeled saloon looked. We found a table over in the far left corner of the saloon, we sat down and in 5 minutes our waitress came over asked us what we wanted to drink and came back with those drinks, we already knew what we wanted placed our order and in 20 minutes our food arrived and it was delicious, We got to sit in the corner with the biggest TV and watch the game people were so nice there, I want to go back, I also want to say that accommodations were so great, we only drank non alcohol (cherry coke and raspberry ice tea) and we had 3 glasses each. For what we had eaten and drank i only paid 40.66 for our food and the 10.00 tip. I will definitely be going back there this year. If you get a chance please go there and try their food it is delicious and isn't anymore expensive than other restaurants in the area. We were happy with the service and the food. Thank You so much to Bronco Billy's for such a wonderful night. Your newly remodeled establishment is so beautiful we can't watch any football from home and knowing that you do have tvs and show the games makes me so happy, We live 10 minutes from you and are happy to say that you will be our one and only place to come and eat even if we don't make it very much. Waited .... waited.... and waited. People came after us and sat right next to us at the bar and we finally got menu and the other 3 people got asked what they wanted to drink and ignored us again. Then they served them their drinks and took their order. Then the waiter looked at us and walked away. Then he came around the bar again and I said can we get a drink and he said I will be back. Beautiful place, all the staff are helpful and attentive. And the food! I got a Cajun rub grilled outlaw chicken sandwich that was absolutely amazing!! The wife got a sweet n sassy burger with seasoned waffle fries. She said (and this is a large statement coming from a chick fil a fan), the fries were way better than chick fil a and it was the best burger she ever had. We both tried each others and both of us agreed. If you're even close to Madison or the dells or just passing thru. Definitely go outta your way to eat here!!!

The owners have totally redone the place and it is gorgeous! Beautiful indoors and outside! They have live music with a very pet friendly patio. The food was fantastic! We ordered the Cactus Jack burger, beer fries, clam chowder and salted caramel cheesecake. All very delicious!!! I'll definitely frequent this place now! it was a nice place, different atmosphere. had a American food place feel with a local feeling twist. our waitress was busy but nice and did get help from others. the portions were good and I really appreciated the homemade appearance of the burger patties. the patties had a charbroiled taste to them which isn't a particular favorite for myself but I'm sure others would love it. the view outside is pretty nice as well and I'm not sure where you can see it from but the enormous American flag waving out past the corn is a nice touch.

This light and airy bar/ restaurant is clean, decent and usually we enjoy the food. Tonight, we decided to try the fish fry. We both decided we won’t be back for this. The fish was tasteless, felt like it was straight off a Sysco truck. The dinner came with the odd accompaniment of garlic bread! ( made me crave a nice bowl

This place is great! There's fun options such as a pool table, video slots, pull tabs, a large outdoor seating area, and even a large popcorn machine. They had a small salad bar with fantastic ranch for only $6 for one trip. The chocolate martini was so delicious that I had to have two. The burger and tots were super yummy, and the wings were perfect. The staff were nice but had to go to the bar to get refills and such. We will be back again before we head home and when we return to the area this summer. I'm so glad that we found this gem.

We did a takeout order tonight, since we have never had it before, and live right up the road. The rodeo burger was awesome, the pub chips tasted good. The chicken tenders were good. The blt with EXTRA bacon ($3) had a total of 5 pieces of bacon on it, and the $10 appetizer of cheese curds we recieved was rather sparce. Overall not sure if we will try again. The Friday night fish fry is wonderful. I've actually never had a bad meal. I ABSOLUTELY love their Reuben sandwiches, as they're made with the good stuff, NOT lunch meat. 🥰 Feel free to bring your dog and sit out back on the patio.
Edit: 4/30/2024... they are now serving broiled fish; they are also charging for "to go" orders. I asked about it and was told they're charging a 4% container fee, along with a 15% gratuity fee for the kitchen. (19% extra for to go orders)

The place is impeccably clean and fun atmosphere! Now the food . . . Went on Chix wing Monday. Love the Bourbon sauce!! Bone in wings tasty and cooked PERFECTLY, which is hard to find at other restaurants, I am not a fan of Broiled Burgers, but this one stole my heart. If you are staying in or near the Dells, forget the MONK-ee and come here for a burger experience that is memorable and you will not forget! Old fashions are really good and affordable. First of all, Bronco Billy's has been updated from a dark, small bar to a well-light, family (and dog) friendly bar/restaurant with shockingly good food.

Our server Allie, and she was just fantastic. There were five of us (four adults and one young child) plus my wife's service dog. Allie made sure EVERYONE was taken care of. She was friendly, treated us respectfully, got our orders right, and made sure to specify that two of us were gluten-free. She checked up on us, offered to even get a "doggie" menu for our dog, etc.

We all had burgers. They were 1/3 and cooked to perfection. The gluten-free buns came from Udi's and were tasty. I had the mushroom swiss burger - highly recommended!

I happen to hate sweet potatoes. My wife ordered a side of sweet potato fries. These came with a side of cinnamon brown sugar whipped butter. She had me try them. I thought it was delicious and munched on them.

We all ordered drinks. My wife had a brandy old fashioned sweet, one of our friends had a blackberry old fashioned, and I had a whiskey old fashioned press. These weren't watered down at all.

I felt the prices were incredible. $11.00 for a great burger with fries. $3.00 for an old fashioned. That's crazy.

We will absolutely return the next time we're in Baraboo/Lake Delton. Cheers!

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at your establishment. The service we received was unacceptable, and I am seeking clarification and resolution.

After finishing our appetizer, we waited over 30 minutes for a cheeseburger. When we attempted to cancel the order, we were informed that this was not possible. To make matters worse, we were told we would have to pay for a meal that we never received.

I felt forced to pay for food that was never delivered, which is both frustrating and unjust. When I requested to speak with the manager, the server—who refused to provide her name—claimed she was the manager. Not only was I still waiting for my order, but the server raised her voice and treated me in a rude and dismissive manner when I expressed my concerns.

This situation is not only highly unsatisfactory but may also be in violation of consumer rights. I am highly dissatisfied with how this matter was handled, and I feel that further action may be necessary..

I would leave zero stars for service if I could. After 10 minutes of no acknowledgement we had to go up to the bar and ask to have a server sent to our table. Three employees stared at us before one—who was scrolling on her phone the entire time behind the bar—finally came to help us. I understand Friday is a busy day. We were thinking maybe he was just having a bad day. So, then we went to sit at the bar and the bartender was also very rude. I believe it was a blonde lady with glasses. I didn’t even want to ask for a cocktail because the bartender seemed very annoyed with us. I was in disbelief I guess you have to be rude to be hired here. I really don’t leave reviews unless I have an amazing experience or a really bad one…yikes. I would love to go back for the great food and atmosphere only.

I went there on a Friday night with my mom. The hostess was very accommodating. Her name is Allie and she went out of her way for us getting a table. Our waitress Kayla was amazing and very attentive. Our time there was enjoyable and they had the best fish in the area in my opinion if you like breaded.

Everything is going amazing and food and atmosphere are great until I am waiting 20 minutes for a drink. Then I go up to the bar and ask where my drink is and server goes “that’s why you have to order through me and not her”. How rude and weird. No matter who I order through they should have it there asap if the can. Service is a negative…

We are local and frequented here several times before the expansion. Always enjoyed a good sandwich, wings, and the service was usually top notch. We were so excited for the expansion/remodel. It turned out beautiful! The outdoor space for drinks and music is fabulous. Since the expansion, tonight was our 4th time visiting. The first few times turned into a 3 strikes you're out. The service had been non existent everytime, no urgency at all, forgetful, lack of visits to the table...the kitchen took forever on the food, when it did come out it was medicore at best, first time cheese curds were burnt to a crisp, second time the fish was rubbery and over cooked, third time, cold. We have let a few months go by, our friends tonight wanted to try the prime/salad bar. We decided one last try. I really am sad to say we won't return. We ordered prime and fettucine alfredo. The salad bar was great, alfredo was decent but the prime was flavorless and fatty. We ordered mushrooms for the prime, of course it came out with none. Our server was nice enough to bring some out and not charge. We were checked on once after that. We had to put our salad plates on the table next to us to make room as no pre-bussing was done. I've been a server/bartender in the area for over 20 years, I am just not impressed. This place has so much potential. The precedent for success needs to be reevaluated from the top down. Act like you want it.

We stopped in and had a drink. We were asked what are ya having? We were not thanked once for coming in. We were there 30 minutes and were ignored by every staff member behind the bar or that walked by. Cold, terrible experience. The food looked good but due to the rude staff, we left without eating.

Food was very good and much more reasonable than in town at the Dells. Ice cold drafts are very reasonable, some cheaper than soda actually! We called ahead with a group of 10. It was Sunday evening so wasn’t as busy but they had a spot ready for our arrival. Turnout from the kitchen was quick. Everyone left full and taking home leftovers.
