Although it’s Sturgeon Bay’s only spot for breakfast by the water, don’t expect a quiet, relaxing meal. With Country music blasting on the patio, and pop music blasting from the bar behind you, it’s difficult to enjoy the water views if you were looking forward to a quiet, pleasant morning (not everyone enjoys being subjected to two genres of music at once). Limited breakfast menu. The re-model is beautiful, but the salad bar is greatly missed. If you plan on drinks only on the patio, a server will not want to bother - I was told to walk back into the bar to order my own, so the server would not have to “tip out.” You may have to instruct your bar tender for classics like a regular daiquiri or an actual martini. Fun bar atmosphere in the evenings. Dance nights can be crowded.

Perfect location, right on the water and next to the bridge. We went on a weeknight before a holiday weekend and it was not busy at all; it didn’t take us any time to get a table. They have bar tables, regular tables and bar seating. There’s also a patio and another separate dining room. They even have a little game room which is good for kids!

The service was exceptionally slow, our waitress was nice enough. The food and drinks were all pretty basic, simple ingredients, nothing too outside the box. The star of the show was truly the soup, which on that day was a chicken and rice soup.

Our dining experience was highly disappointing. The food, particularly my Reuben with its "house-made thousand island dressing," was remarkably bland. The drinks were mediocre . Our server was consistently inattentive, making it difficult to have our needs met. We entered the restaurant with anticipation but left feeling hungry and deeply dissatisfied. If you’ve ever wanted an immersive survival dining experience, Brygga Plates & Pours is the place for you. Cold potatoes? Check. Salmon so dry it could double as a coaster? Absolutely. And my special request for no blue cheese was generously met with enough of the stuff to supply a salad bar for a week.

The service? A delightful treasure hunt — we foraged for our own lemon slices, salt, and pepper like true culinary pioneers. And nothing says “upscale dining” like tackling a rack of ribs with a flimsy plastic fork. Michelin star? No. But perhaps a merit badge for creative inconvenience.

The atmosphere is nice, with the outdoor porch and the tiki bar. And they did a great job with the interior remodel. Service was solid. The three of our entrées lacked in quality. All of them were cold by the time they got to our table. Fettuccine Alfredo was pretty tasteless. The encrusted walleye was soggy. In all fairness, we didn’t contact the manager to allow them to fix it. But unfortunately, the food was not very good. We’ll go back for the tiki bar. But not for dinner.

Very unorganized when we arrived. We eventually got a seat that had to be wiped down first. In a mostly empty restraunt. We ordered and all went ok. My daughter's grilled cheese looked very good. My wife's salad was rather underwhelming for the price and so was my fetching Alfredo. We won a dinner for 2 at the GRAND REOPENING.

New look, same disappointing service.

Decided to come in for dinner after hearing about the new remodel, unfortunately that does not include a fix in customer service. Our server took a half hour to tell us the kitchen was out of something we had asked for, drinks took an excessive amount of time coming out even with a not so busy bar. Nobody came to check on us after we had our food, everything just felt unorganized. Food was okay but not a reflection of the high prices.

We arrived for lunch around 2:30 Pm for lunch on August 17. We had sat outside in the beginning. After waiting for 10-15 minutes (while we were some of the only people there as a family of 4,) which would be understandable if there were people there but it was practically deserted. Once our server came out, he looked so unfriendly. We were asking about drink options and he didn’t list any of them. It was too much of a hassle to explain that you have Diet Coke or Pepsi as an option? I find that absurd. We waited about 15 minutes for our drinks. Our server didn’t say much about anything at all really. Probably three words since we had arrived. And when he did speak, it was all mumbling. It started to rain so everyone went inside. Our server came back after 15 minutes still looking miserable. I had asked for a bundle of napkins and the youngest of the group requested crayons for her menu. The guy never returned with our napkins or crayons. We had to go to the back near the edge of the wall to grab them ourselves. He came back with our food and we didn’t hear from him for the rest of the meal. We had waited for about 25 minutes after finishing our meal, and no bill. We had to walk up to the front desk and you know who we saw? Our server making small talk with the staff. (That partially counts as the 3 words we heard him speak.) He didn’t bother to apologize at all for not getting the bill, napkins or crayons. We also had to go up to the bar to get our own drinks because no one camp to refill them. I would come again for food, never the service. The food was amazing. There are certain levels that can explain it but it broke the scale with how good it was. It partially makes up for our terrible server.

We were seated at about 6:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at high table outside on the waterfront. We sat with menus for several minutes as a couple was seated below by the same hostess. They were approached by a waitress to take their order at 7:05 p.m. That waitress glanced over toward us again, but did not stop at our table. At that point we walked out. The hostess who seated us much earlier than that couple said as we walked out, "Have a good evening!" That's difficult when you don't get served. We ended up having a fine dinner at another establishment and left a generous tip for good service, which could have gone to a Stone Harbor employee if we hadn't been ignored for 15 minutes.

We are visiting from out of town. Stopped last night for dinner before heading back to air bnb. Seated immediately. Table next to us were loud and vulgar. Manager walked by a few times and never addressed it. Took sister a bit of time to come take our orders. I ordered walleye with a baked potato. Meals came timely. I dressed my potato with the butter and sour cream. Put first bite in my mouth and immediately knew one of the dairy products was rancid. Waited 10 minutes before waiter came back. I advised him quietly of the problem and that fish and vegetable were fine. He was silent and then said, “yeah, I guess it would be the sour cream or butter. What do you want me to do?” I suggested a new potato. He left without taking my plate or the nasty potato. Returned with a new one. Manager never came over to apologize and I’m not sure the waiter ever told him. Generally the meal was just ok but for the price, service and atmosphere, it was not worth the money.

We visited today after having a good experience last year. Today was pretty bad. We had to ask for a server after waiting 10-15 minutes. Our server apologized for the wait. We spent $150 for two adults and two kids. The chicken on my salad was mostly black on the outside. Everything was slow and it wasn’t super busy. My husband ordered a second drink when the food came. We had all finished eating and the drink hadn’t arrived so I got up to try to find someone to cancel it and get our check since the server hadn’t come back. The staff person I spoke to told me she was busy and could not help me. I asked if there was a manager I could speak to. She said no, the manager was fired this week. I just walked away dumbfounded. Our server eventually brought the drink and kindly agreed to take it off our tab and get our check. As we left, I asked a different server if there was someone in charge there. She said there were no managers there today. When we got to the front, I saw a non-uniformed staff who when asked said she was a manager. She agreed to talk to me and was apologetic. We were beside ourselves with this service.

We used to go there for lunch every weekend, and sometimes even drove there in the winter for the wonderful soup and salad buffet. Sadly, they discontinued it. We decided to give it a try and eat off the menu as we had good wraps during the pandemic, but those are no more as well. We took my sister's family there for lunch and I was embarrassed. Food was mediocre. We were seated as far away from the windows as you could get and still be in the restaurant. My great niece's salad came with cheese on top despite her altering the server to her dairy allergy. After that she didn't even trust the salad dressing. We clearly need to find a new lunch place. We went to this restaurant for dinner tonight, with our family. We looked at the menu online before we went so we kind of knew what we wanted. We were planning on having the salad bar and soup for dinner, to find out after we were seated already that there was no salad bar opened. Out waitress really gave no explanation as to way. We decided to stay anyways since it was already 5:30 and our kids were hungry. The food was decent, I ordered the Door County Cherry Salad it was really good until I was mostly done and the bite into a CHERRY PIT. I told the waitress when she came back to the table, she took the pit in her hand and took it to the kitchen. When she came back her explanation was that the bag of dried cherries that they use says that it comes from a factory that there maybe pits in the cherries. Not the explanation I was expecting. For a $15.00 salad I would expect whoever made it to be able to let if there were cherry pit before they put the cherries in the salad. I could have broke a tooth, would they have paid for that probably not, since I still had to pay for the salad. I'll never go back.

We showed up by boat here today to grab a drink and some water. The outside bar was busy so we headed inside to order while we were planning on listening to the band near the water. First of all, the band was great and I have no issues with the atmosphere outside. On the other hand, the bar inside had arguably the worst staff I have ever experienced. I really don't like to put down any establishment, but it was so bad. They had three staff members behind the bar with minimal patrons waiting. We were waiting for someone to take our drink order for at least 10 minutes without someone even acknowledging we were even there. No eye contact, no "we'll be right with you", absolutely nothing. All the while, I've never seen a group of three individuals move so slow and apathetically while at work. We even had cash sitting on the bar when two other individuals walked in from outside, on the other side of the bar, and they were served first. If we didn't take the time to tie up the boat we would have left right there. Maybe it was an off day, but it was enough that I won't be coming back.

First there is no need for white table cloths, this is NOT that type of restaurant. If you charge $16 for a burger you better not give me a frozen meet patty, which this place did. Cheese was barley melted. The House made chips were brittle, over cooked.

I was a 2 top Excited to sit by the water and waited 15mins for it to open. A group of 5 came in at the same time. There were 2 people at the hostess stand. One ignored us. The other went to seat the 5 top first. They waited for their party to walk in from the parking lot. Then half went to sit inside. The other half went to sit outside. They moved tables together. I thought I was getting dinner somewhere else but they weren't doing takeout. My lucky day! This place was so accommodating, even though they were super busy. I eat gluten free, the woman I spoke with was so kind, she walked me through the menu. Best cauliflower crust pizza ever. Thank you.

Walked in, spoke to a host about a table on the patio, was told there were none available, asked to put my name on a list, was told they don't offer that for patio tables. We walked outside to wait, noticed an open table, walked back in, asked if we could take the open table, we were told we could. Sat at table for 20 minutes without receiving menus. Flagged down host for menus, he said ok and left, host came back and apologized, said someone will be with us. Sat for another 20 or so minutes. We finally left. They were not otherwise busy. Very bad and confusing service. Will not return.

I've had lunch here several times. Once, an absolutely terrific Reuben sandwich and several times a salad. There's a salad bar that appears to be quite popular.

My favorite things about Stone Harbor Restaurant are the view and the deck. It's fun to watch the old steel Bridge go up to let ships (and sailboats) through. In my opinion, summer is the best time to stop in for lunch.

I went here for a business breakfast. The room was large enough to probably hold at least 150 people. Outside was a view of the bay of Sturgeon Bay. They started us with cherry mimosas, breakfast rolls, and yogurt with fruit and granola. The meal was quiche, hash browns, bacon, and a strawberry. The staff were almost inconspicuous and very quiet as they served us and then picked up our plates when we were done. The room had 3 screens so that everyone was able to see, and the sound system worked perfectly. This is a great venue for business meetings and conferences!

The wait staff was very nice but the food was definitely not worth the cost. I ordered a pasta dish that tasted like a lukewarm, runny Stoffers with chewy, overcooked chicken. I would have said something but I didn't want to get the same thing twice or be charged for two different meals. Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon unfortunately.

Called at 6:40pm on 10.08.21 to see if there was outdoor dining and reservations needed if we arrived at 7:30. Was told yes to outdoor dining, and no reservations needed. Arrived at 7:30, was told they are not serving outside and there was a 45 minute wait. When I mentioned the phone conversation, the hostess very rudely said "I didn't tell you that". So we left. Screw this place and the nasty hostess.

The wait staff wasn't able to serve their partially-filled dining room timely, so we left after 30 minutes of sipping our water glasses and trying to flag down a waiter.

Felt like gordon ramsey was gonna walk in the front door the whole time. Took 5 mins for the hostess to address us and seat us despite a nearly empty restaraunt. The aesthetic felt like a geriatric nursing home. Ten whole dollars for a grilled cheese. A reuben with a pethetic two slices of meat. I had a portebello burger that was thin thin thin and over cooked with a single slice of a tiny tomato with a full slice of red onion not broken into slivers and a half a tiny piece of lettuce. Way over priced too. Maybe the bar is worth it.

We purchased the NACHOS before the meal and a 16 inch pizza. The nacho was so big we didn't touch our pizza until the next morning. Even cold it was very tasty.
