I do not leave reviews as a matter of practice, but what I witnessed compels me to document it for the record.

At 1:15 PM on 09/27/25, I was served by a female bartender whose competence, efficiency, and professionalism were not merely adequate but exemplary. She set a baseline of service that should be considered standard anywhere that claims to value its patrons.

The problem, however, was not the service I received from her. It was the environment — or more precisely, the toxic dynamic being enabled behind the bar. The other bartender on duty (described only for clarity: short, adorned in a discount-party “Flintstone” costume, with the classic demeanor of a Napoleon-complex caricature) was outwardly polite to customers but repeatedly dismissive, undermining, and disrespectful toward his coworker.

This is not “banter.” This is not “personality.” This is a public display of contempt for a colleague — a colleague who was demonstrably more capable at her job in real time. Any establishment that permits one employee to openly devalue another in front of paying customers is not merely tolerating misogyny; it is fostering an unsafe and unsustainable work environment.

Based on the reviews, my wife and I stopped for lunch on our way to the Dells. Bucknuckles was definitely worth the sidetracked to visit. Atmosphere is very unique, in a good way; the service was awesome and the burgers were hot, fast, and delicious. The scenic drive up from Alma is also great.

One of my favorite bars to go to. Tucked away in Wisconsin. Went and had tomahawk steaks for our annual dart party that were cooked wonderfully with sweet corn, and bacon wrapped asparagus. All brought to us outside and there was an outdoor bar to get drinks at. Their burgers are awesome as well. Cool bar has all sorts of fun stuff for decor. Highly recommend this place.

One of the coolest places I have ever run into!. Out cursing on my new GTL and ran into this place, so decided to stop for a quick lunch and refreshment. Just a few locals when I first arrived, but shortly after a few fellow bikers and some others traveling through and the place was hoping. So uniquely decorated with local tractor seats and a bar made with pennies and table with dollar bills. The owner really went out of the way to make this a place to visit. The bartender was from my Colorado town, so we immediately connected. See the video for a first rate welcome. This will be my definite return place when I am back this fall for another ride in the beautiful Wisconsin country.

Amazing places to ride to! I have been here a couple times and it’s become my favorite destination ride. Service is always great even when business is heavy. Food is good—have to try the huge chicken wings and pork tenderloin sandwich. Then check out the Camel Toe Mall. Huge outdoor space and a lot of parking for bikes. Must go to!

Fun place. Tons to look at. The patio is nice. The signs and decor were hysterical. We didn't eat there, but saw the food and it looked very appetizing. They have a few bar games and a couple of challenges (drop a quarter).
They accept cash and check. They have a change machine for the various slots, quarter push, pinball, and pool table.

06/22/2025 I was there on a Sunday at 3:00 p.m. There was a good crowd in the bar. I ordered shrimp and fries, The food was good, and it cost me under $20 with my Busch light. What a place, in all the years I have been coming to the river, I had never heard of this place until today. The food was great, I had a burger that was better then I had in a long time, it was fresh & juicey and not any fatty grease dripping. Thier fries are some of best that I had ever had. Showed up today around 2pm. I don't think they were expecting many people because it's Tuesday, but it's Oct 29th and 80° so there was a decent crowd. Only one staff for the bar and eating area. HE KILLED IT !!!!!!!!!! I wish I would have gotten his name because he did a phenomenal job. The food in the other hand was not good at all. I ordered the bison burger and it was a dry hockey puck with no flavor. I think they take a frozen patty and throw it in the griddle. It was awful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. It's a great place to stop while out riding but I wouldn't get their food

Don't misrepresented what you're selling. If it's not coke, don't pass it off as coke. Don't deliver it to the table and say "here's your coke" when it's not. Not a big deal. However, last visit I asked for mountain dew and was given something entirely different. Too, the bun and ham on my sandwich was cold. Not enough to keep me away, but just a little encouragement to pay attention to the details.

Very busy on a Sunday afternoon. They seemed to be short staffed because they had a 12 yr old delivering food, pretty funny cuz he brought our food with no napkins or ketchup. So I asked him for ketchup and 6 minutes later he brought one (1) ketchup packet. Awesome, so I went inside and grabbed a whole bottle and a pile of napkins.

What's not to like about Bucknuckles? I travel 2 hours to make it here from the Twin Cities, at least once a month. The different burgers are excellent. The spiral cut fries are fantastic.The jalapeño poppers are amazing. It's a beautiful drive and a great place to visit! You won't be disappointed!

Bucknuckles is a hidden gem in the Mississippi River Valley. We take all our out of town guests here & everyone gets a kick out of it. The prices are great & the atmosphere is welcoming & casual. Literally the only thing that could improve is updated merch in the Cameltoe Mall. Everything is outdated & in very obscure sizes. With a name like Bucknuckles/Cameltoes,the possibilities for merchandise could be endless :)

Okay so, disclaimer. I have not had the privilege of dining at this fine establishment. HOWEVER, my girlfriend did and she really enjoyed it. She bought this bottle of hot sause from here in case I liked it. Im here to tell you friends, I do.

Its flavorful. I don't know what the Scoville is but its the EXACT number of my tolerance for all things hot. I swear one point higher it would be too much, so it hits the mark spot on. Furthermore I dont know why a ghost pepper is called a ghost pepper (not saying this hot sause has it.) I'm saying it brings the heat one second then the next second nothing, like a ghost.

So if you want to test to see if you can stand the heat you won't have to wait long for the fire to go out. Lol. So I cant personally speak for the food or service but the hot sause. *chefs kiss*
