We recently celebrated my daughter Lexa’s quinceañera on July 19, and I can't say enough wonderful things about the venue and the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had chosen the perfect place for such a special occasion.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly—from the setup and decorations to coordinating with our vendors. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, which made the planning process so much easier and stress-free.

We attended a wedding at this location. It is a lively place that works its history into the decor in a fashionable way. This wedding had several elements, including the ceremony, cocktail time, and finally, dinner and dance. The only delays came from things outside the venue's control, so from my vantage point, they pivoted and kept guests happy during delays. Plenty of parking and a well-lit lot for leaving after dark.

We recently had our wedding at the Bucyrus Club, and could not have had a better experience! From the start, owner Ernie was polite, responsive and helpful with any questions we had. From there, working with Elyse on all the smaller details of the day went so smoothly and she was super quick getting information or updated contracts back so there weren't any surprise costs at the end! We did have our tasting super early in the planning process, and all the food was so amazing it was hard to pick a final selection! The venue was also really great at accommodating serious dietary requests. Day of the wedding could not have gone better, with Elyse on-site day of, she helped with so many parts of the day and we are beyond grateful for how kind and accommodating her and the entire team was. I cannot emphasize this enough; if you’re looking for somewhere to go for lunch, to hold an event, a company function, or to have your wedding and/or reception the Bucyrus Club is a gem in South Milwaukee. Seeing the venue for the first time we fell in love with it, and had to immediately tell our families. The classy 1920’s vibe along with all the history in the building makes it genuinely unique. We held our wedding reception and rehearsal dinner at Bucyrus and they went above and beyond our expectations. Ernie, Elyse and their entire staff were tremendous. They made sure every detail for the reception and cocktail hour went seamlessly. Our guests were impressed with how helpful the staff was the day of the reception along with how many staff were available. Nothing was out of place and everything was put together perfectly as we planned with us and other vendors!

The most unique feature is the ability of having the Bucyrus Museum open during cocktail hour. Guests are able to interact with volunteers and learn about the Bucyrus-Erie factory while enjoying their drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Most importantly, one of the major pieces of a wedding that guests remember is the food. The Bucyrus Club has possibly the best wedding food we have had and it is fresh! All of our guests talked about how they loved the food. From the hors d'oeuvres to the late night pizzas the staff preparing the food were absolutely one of the highlights of the night! South Milwaukee might be a long haul for some people, but Bucyrus Club is more than worth it!

This was a paid excursion from Viking before going to the Milwaukee airport after a Great Lakes cruise. This museum has models of heavy duty mining and excavation equipment including the equipment used during the construction of the Panama Canal. They also have a simulator for one of the big shovels, It is used to train operators and museum guests can also try their luck with the help of one of the guides. He told me that teenagers are especially good at using the simulator.

Celebrating Our 50th Class Reunion at the Remarkable Banquet

If you're looking for a place with a great atmosphere, delicious food, and a variety of appetizers to satisfy our cravings. Bucyrus Club is a hidden gem worth considering. The reunion was nothing short of extraordinary.

The banquet hall itself was spacious, accommodating our large group of 190 with ease. The staff was attentive and welcoming, ensuring that each and every one of us felt valued and appreciated.

Our menu included fresh garden salad, seasonal fruits, bourbon glazed chicken breasts, sirloin tips with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, fresh vegetable blend and dessert. Everything was fantastic.

Thank you for an experience the Class of ’74 will be returning for our 60th reunion.

My husband and I were married at the Bucyrus Club on 4/1. We knew that we wanted to use this space a year out from the wedding. From the day we said yes to the venue all the way up to the big day, Ernie and Elyse were answering ALL of our emails, and really made us feel like we were a part of the Bucyrus family.

We were lucky enough to use the whole space. From having the ceremony in the 1893 Ballroom, then moving to our cocktail hour in the Bucyrus Museum/Founder Room, and reception in the Grand Ballroom, EVERYTHING was seamless. FOOD WAS AMAZING (I wish I could underline amazing)! The staff was on point and ready to handle anything that came their way. Ernie and Elyse were available from the time we came in the morning to the final guests leaving. I am SO, SO happy we picked this venue for our special day. I cannot thank them enough for making sure all our needs were met.

1. When you reserve this venue for your wedding you get the WHOLE building, including the Bucyrus museum upstairs. They have two ballrooms, one typically for ceremonies and smaller parties and one larger for receptions. During cocktail hour, guests get to go upstairs and tour the museum and be entertained by some amazing history of a Milwaukee born company that was responsible for the work of the Panama Canal.

The venue is beautiful and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Ernie is amazingly accommodating. The upstairs museum is an added bonus and a lot of fun. The caterer did an awesome job with the food and we received many compliments throughout the evening. The building was beautiful renovated with its gorgeous cream city brick, a chic bar area and large windows, I was thrilled with everything and highly recommend the venue. The Bucyrus Club made the event perfect!

I stopped by for a quick tour of Bucyrus Club. Its absolutely the most beautiful wedding venue in the South Milwaukee area. I stopped unannounced as I was in the area and Ernie was so accommodating to take time out of his day to show me this gem. I cant wait to be back for a wedding!

Went to visit the skyline Deli inside the Bucyrus Club. They have the best food. Breakfast burritos, handmade sandwiches, soups, salads, and bagels I just some other choices. There are only open until 2 p.m. daily which sucks. They're closed on the weekends as well again I don't like that.

I cannot give a good enough review to the Bucyrus Club. From the moment I reached out about holding our wedding reception to the very end, impeccable. The level of communication, organization, experience, and attention to detail made for a beautiful and worry free event. It is clear that Ernie and everyone at the Bucyrus Club take great pride in and enjoy what they do.

We utilized their museum for our cocktail hour, which was a really nice touch (my uncle is STILL talking about how much he enjoyed it 3 months later!). Their appetizers were excellent, ranging from standard fare to things like tomato soup shooters with mini grilled cheese & bacon wrapped water chestnuts. Ernie was happy to work with us to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions for our dinner menu, which (surprise) was also delicious.

In addition to the wonderful food, there was ample parking available and a beautiful outdoor seating area furnished with heaters. Should I ever need a space for an event again, I will without a doubt return to the Bucyrus Club.

I just attended a friend's intimate wedding here, and it was gorgeous! The room that held the ceremony and eventually the reception was very modern showing exposed woodwork in the ceiling and original brick walls. The bar area uplighting behind the tall mirrors looked beautiful and modern as well.

The bride and groom chose to have the cocktail hour upstairs in the museum area which was a very unique location. This space offered cozy areas for groups to converse and sip on cocktails and seconded as entertainment as you browsed the history of Bucyrus. There were a handful of very knowledgeable and friendly museum docents there to answer questions and provide mini tours.

The ceremony space doubled as our reception space and was changed over during the cocktail hour. The bride and groom chose to have food at stations for our dinner. The food was great! The staff was friendly. I'd highly recommend the Bucyrus Club for an event in your future!
