Went here this morning and was given a 16oz iced drink when i ordered a 24oz? And I told them that this didn’t look like what i ordered and they just ignored me and walked away, I’ve been here about 5 times and I wouldn’t say I’ve had a bad experience but this 100% deterred me from ever coming here again. Don’t waste your money on the service and quality that you get here. This was such a weird experience and as someone who also works customer service..where was the service? This was a sad moment. I’d rather drive an hour to the one in rice lake than ever come back this location. This experience was so shallow and uncomfortable. Didn’t take a picture because I didn’t think I was going to leave a review but I think it’s important that other people know about this experience to avoid it happening to them. What a disappointment :/

This place is located inside River Praire Park. We like to walk the river trails and afterwards stop and get a hot tea or coffee and relax. There is also out door seating that is nice in the spring. They have a fireplace seating as well. There is plenty of parking and a drive thru as well. Our favorite is the the Southwest Wrap. YUMMMMM...

Visiting from California, stopped here to grab an iced latte and a dozen bagels to bring to my good friends business in EC and surprise his employees with a snack. They advised me that the dozen bagels I ordered would take 15-30 minutes which was absolutely no problem and I expressed that. When I got to the drive thru window the barista proceeded to give me attitude expressing they usually don’t take orders that big in such short notice, and gave me very uncomfortable energy. If I had put up a fuss about the wait time I’d understand the snarky comment but I expressed it was no problem and I was very patient. I appreciated that the bagels would be made fresh and was willing to wait. The latte was delicious and so were the bagels! I will not be going back however because of the poor customer service and I certainly made sure to pass this information along to the business I brought the bagels to. Maybe the girl was having a bad morning but hopefully next time they are nicer if someone makes a big order.

My wife and I just stopped in. It's not a bad spot. Service today was terrible. Not sure if the short blond lady is the owner but my wife asked if the order you had placed in the fridge was for her and you just walked by saying hold on as you kept walking. Fine but to completely ignore us on the way back we will never go back. Thank you for the disrespect walking back by only to completely ignore us. By the way, the drinks were ours to begin with. Update to the owner. My wife and I appreciate the reply. We regularly go get our coffee every morning here. I'm not sure what the issue was with the employee today. We pre ordered our coffee and when we seen the woman put the drinks in the fridge/freezer, all we were trying to do is let her know we are there to get our already paid for drinks. A simply acknowledgement would all it would have taken. If there is an easier way to get the coffee fast is why we pre ordered and went in to pick up. All she had to do was tell us that we would have had to wait to be checked out. That's it. We didn't even get that. It was "hold on" she went and grabbed gloves and on the way back as through acted as if we had not asked a question. Oblivious to our question and even looked at the gloves as if we didn't matter. We are not looking to get anything discounted or free but as someone who has over 23 years in the customer service industry, this could have easily been resolved by taking 2 seconds to listen to what we had asked. Horrible customer service. Ordered 2 hot chai teas. Got to the window and they were cold. Said I ordered hot and if I could get hot ones and the response I received was, “I checked with you multiple times to make sure I got the right temp”. I said hot each time. Incredulous stares from employee until I agree to take them. Of course I’m gonna take them. I’m in a line and it’s 12 bucks. But thanks for blaming me for what could have been a very easy and understandable mistake. Happy to never stop there again…

Honestly very surprised this place has a high of a rating at it does. I was hit with the smell of garbage the minute I walked in the door, which should've been enough to make me leave, but I've heard good things so I thought I'd give them a chance. I was greeted promptly, and they were kind enough to give me time to look over the menu. I ended up ordering some sort of croissant and an iced latte. The second employee, who took my order, microwaved my food inside a plastic container. When, in shock, I asked if that's what she did (the plastic container was hot), she confirmed and didn't understand my issue. I had to explain that it's very bad for your health and the food to microwave in plastic (not something I would have to expect to explain to someone in 2024). I tried to let her know as nice as I could that I didn't want to take the croissant, and that it was no big deal, they could just have it. She was very insistent on microwaving me a second one on a plate and then putting into the packaging for me. I didn't want to argue, since she was already looking at me like I was a crazy person, so I just said fine. I'm still not going to eat it, as she definitely gave me the "I don't care about food safety" vibe, and that's unsettling in a food service setting. I'll stick with coffee shops that heat their food in ovens. My drink was ok, but the flavoring was very overpowering and has left a gross artificial sugar taste in my mouth. I spent way too much on this and expected so much more. After all the good things I've heard, I am very disappointed. I won't be back.

Lousy business model for running a business anymore. Ordered a standard medium coffee. Menuboard lists $2.85. I thought with tax it would be $3 even. Nope. Get to the window, and it's $3.01 with a HUGEASS tip jar right in front. I'm SO GD tired of the way every place is pushing for tips so hard. Prices are exorbitant enough as is (the coffee was only a 12oz and nothing that would set off any fireworks over it). I pocket the two pounds in coins in change I got and drove away, never to return. Maybe if workers were paid decent wages and didn't have to beg, morale and service would be better.

Kelly and Joe are outstanding owners of this coffee shop/restaurant and have put their hearts and souls into making it the best in town. The service is amazing and the space is warm and inviting.

It's either hit or miss as far as service goes. Had an issue with my card not registering all of my purchases; I was asked multiple times if the issue was on my end. It was not. I left my number for someone to call back and didn't hear anything. Stopped back in today (a week later) to talk to somebody to see what might be going on. Cashier was incredibly friendly and tried to be helpful but she didn't know what happened either. She said I now had enough purchases on my card to issue a free drink, but wasn't sure how it happened. Got a small latte and it was 3/4 of what it usually is and the taste was..."off." This is the second time I have wanted to return a drink but couldn't justify it because it was free. Just disappointed that nobody was willing to figure out the problem and make an effort to 'make it right.' Other wise, the drinks are *usually on par here.

I used to come here regularly- multiple times a week. I loved it. The mochas were always fantastic and so was the food. But within the last 6 months or so something changed and I’ve been disappointed enough to start going elsewhere. I hate being this person, but I had to write a review on this. The mochas/lattes are consistently lukewarm even when I ask for it extra hot. I have to go home or into work and microwave it. If I order a bagel with cream cheese, the bagel is barely toasted even if I ask for it extra toasty. It’s so disappointing to get a lukewarm coffee and barely toasted bagel when you pay almost $10 for it. On top of this- there is something off with the sweetness of the drinks. I used to order the turtle mochas almost every time and then during the holidays I’d get the candy cane mocha. I remember them vividly. The last turtle I ordered tasted like they used unsweetened cocoa in it. The only sweetness was the whipped cream and chocolate/caramel drizzle. Then I recently ordered the candy cane mocha and it also tasted unsweetened. I brought it back in to get it remade and it tasted the same. I said thanks and left with the drink. And sadly, it was lukewarm too. The workers are nice, so that’s not an issue. And the cinnamon rolls are still amazing so that’s a plus. But I just don’t think I can get myself to go back again. Not that one person makes a difference to you but it definitely bums me out.

The UWEC biology dept had the pleasure of having Cabin Coffee catered food and coffee for the lunch portion of the fall faculty retreat. I had mentioned to Kelly in passing that I wanted to support local and she assured me that we could figure something out. When I called to place the order, Gracie and Faith were helpful and friendly. My husband picked the order up and he too commented on the lovely service. Our lunch was a "working" lunch, as we painted while we ate. The sandwiches/bagels/wraps/assorted desserts made the experience easy and many commented on being pleased with the selection. Thanks again!

I wish I could write a better review, but the coffee was lacking, cold and overpriced which is a real shame since the atmosphere and decor are reminiscent of simpler times in America. Back when the Confederate flag wasn't "shameful" to fly, and before Big Pharma had its hands in Trump's pockets. If this TRIGGERS anyone then STAY AWAY, we on the far right need our own place to exist and congregate. I will take mediocre coffee any day of the week if it means that I can get away from the growing lefty agenda for an hour, but if the quality improves I will be recommending Cabin to my friends. Until then stay safe everyone and be careful of what the mainstream media tells you.
