Busy late morning when we stopped in For a bite. Sat in the coffee bakery section rather than waiting for a table. Same menu, table service, just not the normal restaurant area. Server was attentive, and food came out quick and tasty. Breakfast burger for me (yum!) and a giant orange cranberry pancake for the wife. We both left satisfied and took home some bakery treats for this evening. We have never been let down by the food quality at Cafe 1505.

We (group of 3) arrived around lunch time on a Monday. We understood that they would be busy. We were told we could sit at the bar and it would be a 25min wait. No staff dedicated to the bar. There were patrons who arrived after us and sat at the bar who were asked about beverages by wandering waitresses but no one ever asked us. There were also at least 3 groups who came after us who were seated at tables before us. I know that this cafe is a favorite for the locals and I definitely got the sense there was favoritism.

When we finally were seated it took a long time for the waitress to come take our order. Food came out in a decent time. We ordered an eggplant pita, a turkey cran sandwich, and a wild rice salad. The turkey cran sandwich was…SAD. The bread was smushed. The wild rice salad was extremely bland and underseasoned. I would have mentioned it to our waitress but she never came back to the table. I had to hunt her down a good 15-20mins AFTER we finished our food to ask for the check. I mentioned the unnecessary waiting to the hostess when signing the bill and all she said was, “yeah it’s not normally like this”. No one in our party was impressed. The only thing we liked about the place was the ambiance.

Can't say much about the food, as no one ever came to take our order and attempts to flag down another server (or maybe our right one) were unsuccessful. One person came right away to give us some little muffins and water (so someone knew we were there) but after 15 min of not even being offered coffee, we walked.

Went on a Sunday for Father's Day. Table for two. Said 20 minute wait but it only about 7. Sat in front table near hostess table and after 14 minutes of no coffee or being acknowledged, I asked to speak to the manager because man who sat across from us arrived 5 minutes after us. First time here. Stopped in for a lunch. Was impressed with the experience. Attentive service, lots of good menu choices, and atmosphere was causal.

Started off with an ice tea, and Chai Latte. They did a great job with the Latte, and love that extra foam.

Got the trio salad sampler, which included, tuna, chicken and quinoa. All were fresh, and well seasoned. We each got a cup of soup and enjoyed those as well.

Great spot for a lunch, and significantly better than any fastfood.

Don't fall for the "Egg Scam of 2025" from this place. The Big 1505 is 12 bucks on the menu. But of course when you go to pay for it, its $13.50. Didn't you see the little sign on the way in that says "eggs, blah blah, expensive, local, arbitrary increase to your egg dishes"... No? Well too bad, they will take an extra 15% extra from the whole table, if they all order breakfast items, at breakfast. Without saying a word or bothering to include a simple flyer in the menu. On top of that the wiskey chai drink is more than ELEVEN DOLLARS. $11+! For a chai concentrate and a splash of booze with a tablespoon of milk. lol. Seriously. I can get past the two hours we were there including the wait and the time it took to get our foor... But ripping people off, blindly, without a word, feels like it should be illegal. Of course the waitress knows nothing, had to ask a manager. 1$ extra PER EGG, just added to your bill. Unless of course your dish has two eggs. Then its only a dollar fifty extra. Three eggs? Well, you guessed it, 2$ extra... just extra, not a word spoken on it. Yep, there is in fact a little sign when you walk in. Are we all really supposed to believe wholesale eggs are A DOLLAR MORE PER EGG now? Cmon. This is an "egg hysteria" markup rip off that they are too embarassed about to even say it to your face.

Yep. Perfect response from the sort of pompous vibe this whole place has. Right now (2/22/2025) as a business owner, I can get FIVE DOZEN eggs from Costco business for 13.99. So let me “educate you” or anyone else. That comes out to less than 25 cents per egg. I have to assume eggs cost something prior to 2/11/2025… but somehow, now after all this hysteria about eggs, they cost this one business only, A DOLLAR *MORE* per egg. A dollar! lol. Cmon. Educate yourself on what a scam is. This. This is a scam. You’re misleading people about what an egg costs, and for some reason not willing to change the price on the menu to reflect that. Yep, you bet. I’ll eat my dog before I go back. I don’t care about how any owner feels about anything. I care about being charged what the menu says I should be charged. Pretty basic stuff here. Apparently this place was paying 2 dollars per egg before. And now, with the 53% increase, they are passing the extra dollar that egg costs on us. Seems totally legit! And to be fair, the people that made us go here said they only get lunch usually. So maybe that’s better? But also, take 10 steps in either direction past the egg cost signs, and you’ll see a bunch that tell you how to parent or otherwise behave. Again, anything inside the actual menu, you know, the thing people use to choose what to buy based off at least in part, the price… anything in there that tells me it costs more, fine. Without that, it’s misleading at best. I’d contend it’s against Wisconsin State Laws to post a price for an item and then charge someone more than that price.

Apparently google doesn’t allow me to disprove how ignorant I am by citing state law and linking to it. So google Wisconsin Statute 98, look for the simple to read pdf that clearly says it’s illegal to charge someone anything other “than the lowest published price”. Surprised this restaurant seems to want to break the law over just telling the costumers they care about so much, what the prices are - upfront.

My wife and I had a breakfast here on a Saturday. Breakfast potatoes (american fries?) served on weekends but the online menu mentions a couple flavors that and I requested southwest style potatoes to find out the styles online are only available during the weekdays. They were able to accommodate my request which was AWESOME! I googled ‘Cafe 1505’ just to remind myself of what time they opened this morning, but just had to leave a quick review after I found myself completely shocked by the fact that their average star rating wasn’t a perfect 5.0!

My husband, son, and I have been coming to Cafe 1505 consistently for about 10 years now. Our food and service has never been anything other than excellent! Whether for breakfast or lunch, on a weekday or weekend, sitting in the deli or the main cafe, we have always left so happy & pleasantly full. And I’ll admit- the three of us (even our middle-school age son) have pretty high standards!

We surely have had everything on the menu at one point, and I would find it almost impossible to name my favorite dish. We love their omelets and quiches for breakfast, and their house made veggie burgers for lunch. Even their sides like the coleslaw or mixed greens are delicious and incredibly fresh! Oh, we all three of us look forward to their cold, creamy, cucumber soup every summer! We take it home by the quart as often as we can (Please don’t ever stop making it!)!

Thank you, Cafe 1505, for being a neighborhood gem for 30+ years, and an absolute favorite of our family since the day we moved here!

Was in town today with my husband and daughter for a soccer tournament. Ordered an omlette with mushrooms, feta, bacon and avocado. My order was given to someone else and I got one with ham. Staff did offer to bring me a new one, but I mentioned I was fine with it. I start eating and a wad of circled hair was inside of the omlette. Needless to say, it wasn't the greatest. At least I saved someone else from eating it! Manager did cover our entire meal and apologized and assured us it wasn't hair that belonged to the staff. It just was a bummer as it was very noticeable as soon as I started to eat.

This was an unexpected new gem! We came for breakfast and had a marvelous time. The food was DELICIOUS, and they had so many different options and fun blends of food! And definitely health-conscious options that looked scrumptious. There's also a bakery and deli. Service was on the slow side even though we were very early and it wasn’t crowded. Good omelets, pancakes etc. Avoid the blue crab scramble which was an overcooked and overpriced regular scramble with cheese not properly incorporated and no crab that I could find.

Response to owners response: I find the response odd - an acknowledgement of my experience but an attempt to completely blame me for it and take no responsibility.

Didn't see any signs posted. And if they were posted, why rely on customers to read signs? It would have been better for the server or hostess to inform us, which they didn't. As for the blue crab scrambler, it was one of several dishes we had (the rest, as pointed out, were good), and the reason to point out the shortcomings to others is because it is a $16 item, one of the more expensive.

I left you a four star review, which means our overall experience was good, with the shortcomings pointed out. The purpose of reviews is to document experiences, good and bad. If only good experiences are posted, it is hardly reflective of the totality of people's experiences.

I visited Cafe 1505 on Saturday July 21st 2023 in the morning about 10am with a party of about 6-8 . Finally when we (The Group) was able to order, after 20 minutes of waiting, the waitress was mediocre friendly in our ( The Group Opinion). I will speak on my order. I ordered create your own omelet I was told I can only pick 3 items. I chose spinach, mushrooms, onions, when it the plate came it was an egg (flat) with the veggies mentioned above threw in there. NOT A TRADITIONAL Omelet. Then it was questioned to the waitress and she mentioned that at Cafe 1505 that a Frittata and the way it was stated like we needed pronunciation lesson or that it was foreign to US. Now this should have been explained to all who ordered what Cafe 1505 . We all who ordered omelettes was simply wagging with COLD veggies threw in the egg. Was not a very enjoyable experience. One more thing someone else order a Croissant breakfast sandwich, to be told 10 minutes later that the Cafe 1505 was out. That should have been told in the interim of taking that order. Will I refer anyone to this cafe called 1505 in Mequon in the small shopping strip. No!

This is a new trendy style Cafe and the service was really good. My one knock is that their menu is really small. Seems like their main fair is pancakes and French toast, only have 2 omelet selections with a make your own option, a breakfast burger and that's pretty much it. If you like a big selection I would not recommend, I think they had more drink options than food to be honest.

We love coming here after a morning of estate sales, lol.
The thing is that today I had the chicken burrito off the main menu. And it should be called an American Cheese burrito. So heads up on that. I was hard pressed to find chiken in the 3 cups of melted cheese.

Excellent food and excellent coffee. Today I thought I would try something new and opted for the eggplant pita. What a great choice!

Note they do cook it fresh in the kitchen so you have to wait around 10 minutes for the order. But it was well worth it.

The meal was packed with warm eggplant eggplant, juicy tomatoes topped with savory feta cheese and broiled under the oven. The pita was crispy on the outside - perfect for dipping into their tzatziki sauce and finished off nicely with a side of Kalamata olives. It was like a warm Mediterranean hug in the middle of winter.

I also ordered a plain latte with almond milk. The coffee was smooth and not bitter at all. The cost is extra for almond milk but this was a real treat. Would definitely come back again.

My boss loves this place so we get it almost once a month. I love their pollo rojo tostadas. The meal itself is so damn good especially the only non Spanish place to provide fresh Serranos… It has to be spicy when I eat so I very much appreciate them. Although every time I get my tostadas only half is truly dressed.. It could very well be that I’ve only ever ordered pickup, but none the less it’s like the 3 tostadas are laid down flat on top of each other in my container then dressed (leaving 1/3 of two tostadas completely bare) and I feel like I need to make my own tostada… I get the privilege of getting this food made for me but I just want a proper tostada lol. Really interesting place. I was introduced by a friend to the venue. It doesn't have much of a storefront, but it actually is in a small indoor mall setting. Has both a deli/cafe area as well as a more full sit down area, and bar seating. They cater to everyone from someone who is working on their laptop and looking for a place to loiter and have a drink to the full sit-down lunch crowd. I was told I had to try there already made salads. I got a combo allowing me to try two. One was the balsamic chicken salad and the other was a wild rice chicken salad. I really like that they had both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options as well as coffee drinks on the menu, shame I was driving I couldn't stay longer. Prices were reasonable. I'll happily stop back for breakfast next time or brunch.

Cafe 1505 would be easy to miss. It's set back from a busy street and located in a complex with several other businesses. It's a busy place at lunchtime, but we were seated immediately. The menu has a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, etc. I chose the chicken Caesar salad. It had two absolutely sad tomato slices on it, but the greens were crisp, and the chicken breast was freshly grilled. There was actually MORE parmesan cheese than necessary. My lunch companion had the quiche of the day and said it's always excellent.

Insider tip: There are a couple of boutiques in the same building as Cafe 1505. I could imagine lunch in the Cafe, followed by some retail therapy right down the hall. A nice girlfriends afternoon!

Due to its popularity, extremely busy on a Sunday morning. Wait was about 30 minutes. Food was fresh, from the muffins and toast to the vegetables and meats. Service was stellar and interacted well with two small children we had along.

My family and I went here for the first time last month to celebrate a birthday. Our server was super kind and friendly as well as the other servers. One server even complimented my outfit which was super sweet of them. I don’t remember exactly what I ordered, but I believe it was a seasonal dish. The Brussels sprouts were raw which I didn’t expect as those are typically served cooked in meals, but aside from that my food was okay. Maybe it was in the description but I missed it. The dish wasn’t exactly my taste, but that doesn’t take away from the fact the food here is really good. I’m sure I’ll find something else I love in the future! I also got coffee which was very good! I like that there are plenty of vegetarian options for me to choose from. My family really enjoyed the meal and had fun. The restaurant is also very nice visually. It was a pleasant experience, and I will definitely go again!

Ordered a southwest chicken burrito for lunch. Paid $17. It was one of the worst burritos I have ever had. The tortilla was hard, and the burrito was 90% cheese. I’ve attached a picture. For $17 - I got about 6 bites.

I do appreciate the response. However, I do question the truthfulness of the response posted. I hope that in addition to the unintentional poor quality of the food, it was also unintentional you may have also mixed up the customer tickets in your timeline. Please note:

Contrary to what the owner stated, I did not pre order “around 8:45-9am to be picked up around 11:30am”. While it is true I picked up the order at 12:56pm, my wife called and placed the order at 12:26pm. This was our first and only contact with the restaurant to order. I’ve attached the call log to show.

Therefore, it is A) IMPOSSIBLE that the order was prepped at 11:25am, an hour before my wife even ordered; and B) from the time of placing the order to final pick up, it was a total of 30 minutes, and assuming 20 minutes of prep time, That leaves my food sitting for about 10 minutes, NOT 91 MINUTES.

Additionally, the point of google reviews is to leave an honest review as to the quality of the product and service. I did that.

Again- I hope your extremely inaccurate timeline was merely an honest mistake, rather than to intentionally deceive your customers to look good.

Observed bar tender using both hands bare going into a bucket of pickels and taking them to another container ,then watched her use the cash register Handel money put her hands on straws , she then put her hands on the inside of glasses. Besides unsanitary conditions the food was good.

Stopped in for my 2nd visit. Cafe and bakery were busy, but service was excellent.. And the food was great! I was told by a relative of mine that was working that day having her birthday that we celebrated with a cupcake and candle that mother's day reservations already were at 400. This is a "must check out" Cafe and bakery in Mequon, WI. I enjoyed my first time there with my family and received a great "personal touch" when I visited a second time on May 7 for lunch.

Meet a friend of mine here for lunch. It was the first time I'd actually seen him since Covid started. The food here is really good.
