Stopped into Cafe26 in Milton looking for a new breakfast spot near my lake house. The staff was great..., very friendly, attentive, and on top of things. The place itself looks nice and inviting, and the menu at first glance seemed solid.

That said, the menu is a little deceiving and the value just isn’t there. When you order eggs, the menu doesn’t say what’s included. At most restaurants, eggs come with toast and hashbrowns, but here everything is an upcharge. Hashbrowns? +$4. Sausage or bacon? Another +$4. What ended up being three eggs, a small portion of hashbrowns, two small sausage patties, and toast rang up to $24 for one person,,, a very expensive breakfast for what you actually get.

I also tried a half order of biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately, it came out cold, and the gravy tasted just like the canned version you can buy at the store.

Overall, while the staff and the atmosphere were both positives, the food quality and pricing just don’t justify coming back. Way too expensive for what you get, so I won’t be giving it a second chance

Cafe 26 is great! The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. Even when they are busy, the many servers are always quick to refill your coffee and are generally very attentive. The food is always surprisingly quick and tastes excellent, and all of this is true even on busy Sunday mornings. I especially love their crepes, but am always torn between crepes and their many other offerings.
Additionally, the vibe inside is updated and the place is clean. I can say for sure that this is my favorite brunch place in the area, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
It's also nice that they regularly update their specials, which is yet another reason to come back.

Tried adding creamer and then it tasted like watered down hot creamer. I think it's because it's just a regular drip coffee, but if you're used to coffee with coffee flavor, it throws you off.

1st time dining here and we were impressed! Beautifully done on the inside. One small suggestion would be to paint the condiment baskets gold to tie to the decor and give one more beautiful touch. We were seated as soon as we walked in, like the hostess already had two menus and was waiting for us, very impressed by that! Now for the food! Wow! I ordered the Divorced Eggs Benedict cause I wanted to try the original and the biscuits and gravy one, fantastic! The ham is absolutely delicious and so was the sausage in the other one. My husband ordered the Irishman skillet and it was also fantastic! The service was excellent! I believe our waitress was Sage, super friendly and very nice! They all seemed to work together in tandem without much effort. Seems like a great place to work! Definitely will visit again!!

I got a buffalo chicken wrap. The breaded chicken was so hard, old and gross. It looked like they found it behind the fryer from a month ago. My son got a cheese quesadilla. I asked if she could do a kids quesadilla because the regular menu had a quesadilla with peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and salsa. But I said we didn't need any of that. She's said she could but still charged 8 for a tortilla with cheese?! Total rip off. What's odd is the wrap, lettuce and tomatoes seemed fresh. Like how hard is it to fry a fresh chicken tender?! Really disappointed, disgusted and my stomach hurts.

Don’t Judge A book by its cover !!!! this place may look like a old fast food restaurant but this place is awesome my daughter was complaining on the way to eat about having rainbow pancakes which they didn’t have but we asked the waiter Michelle if we could use the sprinkles from the hot chocolate they make to make rainbow pancakes she brought the entire container out not only for my daughter and my son, but our friends kids as well. Happy environment the employees seem to be happy and very serious about their jobs ! We didn’t even need to ask for coffee or water !!! employees were already on it! Great small town business! can’t wait til the next time we’re there ! Not only was the environment and employees awesome SO WAS THE FOOD! Main purpose we went ! My country freid steak was prefect !!! Cafe 26 has amazing food, but above and beyond that they have employees that go above and beyond! Michelle especially make every visit feel like visiting family. The owner is a great guy too! He does whatever needs to be done; carrying trays, filling coffee and clearing tables is not beneath him. We brought our family from New York and the asked to go back a second time for breakfast before they left. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Got the steak fajita skillet and it was good. The flavor was perfect, not to strong and not to bland the steak on the other hand was dry and chewy. We stopped in here for breakfast and it was amazing!! My daughter ordered the Polar Bear Waffle and a hot chocolate and the added whipped cream and sprinkles to the cocoa. She was so excited. I had the Southbound Waffles. It was very good as well. The waitress was wonderful kind and polite. We are very pleased and highly recommend it. 😀

Cafe 26 is our favorite place for breakfast. We make the 20 minute drive here because its better than whats right here in town. The staff is always friendly, the restaurant is always clean, food is fresh,hot and amazing. Not to mention their cappuccinos are delicious and so are the iced coffees. Will never go back & writing this to warn you not to waste your money here. There are lots of other good restaurants to patronize.
First waited forever for a waitress.
People came in & sat at a booth behind us. They had a different waitress & were waited on right away.
Our poratoe soup was ice cold.
Husband had to take to counter since waitress was nowhere to be seen. After some time we got microwaved soup.
We just started eating our hot soup & our fish dinners came!
Frozen mixed veggies were as cold as the soup. Told her. Nothing was done.
Cole slaw is made with an entire bottle of mustard. Worst I've ever had in my life.
At the end we asked if any adjustments would be made about the cold food & bad service. She took $4 off for the sodas. Big deal !!! Asked to talk to a manager. It was her which is scary because she obviously does not know how to handle a bad situation they created.
As I said...we will never go back.
You will recognize this place. It is the one that looks like a messy dirty dump on the outside.
