If you're looking for authentic Mexican this is not your place. I think they're just going for over priced "trendy". No Mexican music nor employees on the floor. It took them awhile on how to figure out how to seat 6. Not busy yet it took awhile for our waiter to come take our drink our. Took even longer for him to deliver half of the drinks. We had to remind him twice of missing sodas. Took just as long to take our food order yet it came out quickly. I ordered the Queso Chimichanga. The Queso looked like a blended Cheese Wiz and tasted the same. It was not crispy either. Tasted ok at best. My dad did enjoy his Enchiladas though.

I've been to Cafe Corazon, probably 100 times over the last 8 years in Milwaukee. Its a place I'm always happy to go - enchiladas, palomas, chips and salsa. In my book, you can't go wrong! We've seen people come and go, but usually replaced with other like minded employees. Lately, all the summer kids are gone - and long time employees have moved on for one reason or another.

You see - I feel like Corazon is the neighborhood restaurant - where you know the staff, they know you - and that there is a special kind of camaraderie. I've met many people sitting at the bar, and patio - who have become friends - or acquaintances. The same with the staff - many cool conversations with the college kids, and staff as time has gone on. We always bring people visiting for a meal here. Is it the most authentic, no. But it's always ON point.

Lately, the whole vibe has shifted. There has been the exodus of staff (which I understand happens) - but the new leadership of the Brown Deer restaurant seems out of touch with the truly special environment that Wendy and George have built. The last two times we dined, she was outside smoking by her car- meanwhile the restaurant is in the weeds and needs help.

Tonight, we dined - and it was a total cluster - a new bartender (Tracy) who was super nice, dirty tables everywhere, no de facto leader and a busy full house. The Paloma's were not good (too much lime) so I know the new bartender hadn't been properly trained (not her fault). The bar was neglected, because she wasn't prepared to run service bar and wait on the bar at the same time. She was hustling!

Bottom line. We love Corazon. Don't ruin all the amazing things with the wrong leadership. Try and hold on to the staff who has been here a while (and who have established so many relationships) and find more people that align with the amazing place that has been created in all of the Corazon locations.

We have loved Corazon since they were at Public market and they were always worth the drive from Glendale. We’ve gotten to know Hannah at the bar and anytime she is working and we come, we are so excited. She is a rare gem who is an asset to the restaurant. We’ve seen many people come and go, some good and some we wish had stayed- but she is our constant.

Crazy that the midwest would consider this mexican food. old el paso salsa for the chips, greasy weird colored corn tortillas, and the steak was flavorless. Rice and beans were okay. servers were nice. for a place that means love, they should put a little more love into the food.

What an amazing experience! The wait staff was so kind and courteous. Our waiter Mike was top-notch. The salmon burrito was the best I’ve ever had and my kids said their asada tacos were delicious.

Unfortunately, this place is not ADA-friendly. The seating is cramped and poorly arranged, making it really difficult for anyone using a wheelchair or walker to navigate comfortably. Accessibility clearly wasn’t a consideration in the layout.

I’ve been going to Corazon for years throughout different properties they have had and this one in particular has been a favorite of mine until recent. Staff is always engaging from host to bartenders to servers. The issue lies with management, or should I say new management. I’ve been going to this location through various changes in management from Kayle and Marco (sorry if that’s wrong) this new lady who I have yet to learn her name seems like she has really rocked the boat, she doesn’t have the guest presence that previous management has had, I could always look past the food issue because my wife loves this place and the management at the time made up for it with their hospitality. We went in about 2 or so weeks ago looking to meet the new manager and was informed she had been off property to take her child to get a haircut, at that point as we were informed it had been about 3 hours, we stayed for about an hour without sight of her. I assumed she had taken the day off, but as we were getting ready to leave she appears, without even the. Chance to introduce ourselves she was already in her car leaving again. Seems like staff is frustrated at this new “manager”. We have been in multiple times since and have seen her outside smoking cigarettes on the phone more times than she’s actually in the restaurant even when we have observed the restaurant to be very busy. Not sure who is in charge of hiring this level of employee but maybe that person needs to be retrained in reading a person before offering them a position within a busy restaurant. To this day, we still have no idea what her name is.

Cafe Corazon is hands down one of my all-time favorite spots for amazing Mexican food. I’ve been coming here for the past six years—even back when they had the Mequon location—and it’s consistently fantastic. The food is always flavorful and fresh. My new favorite is The Cruncher (absolutely crave-worthy), and I’m also obsessed with the mini chimneys. And don’t even get me started on the Palomas—they’re perfect every time.

But what truly makes this place special is the service, especially our favorite waitress, Hanna. She’s genuinely the best—attentive, friendly, and always makes us feel welcome. She remembers us, our favorite drinks, and brings such good energy to every visit. If you’re lucky enough to have her as your server, you’re in for a great experience.

Heard amazing things and was left disappointed. The rice was dry and the veggie addition to the burrito was a lot of broccoli and a couple pepper. Broccoli ruined the entire meal as it overpowered the rest, and we were not expecting it on Mexican food. This is a review on take out. 1. The food is great. I have ordered take out here 2 times. 1st time, ordered in person for take out. Got home and realized they left out a entire entree. Keep in mind only 2 entrees were ordered. 100% my issue for not double checking the order. 2nd time I ordered, I called in and made them aware of my 1st issue and simply asked that they take extra caution in making sure the full order was there as I was buying for a few people. I arrived and repeated my request to double check everything given my 1st experience. I got home and received a phone call from the restaurant saying ooops. We forgot another entree. So I returned and picked it up. No refund, no sorry. I asked to speak to the manager, the cashier said they were gone for a week and the owners were gone for a month. Nothing could be done. This is a local small business that I really wanted to support but the service was terrible. Getting what you pay for is a simple transaction and then if you make a mistake, how do u resolve it. They failed on every layer. Wish them the best but this is a buy at your own risk example.

Enjoyed a wonderful post holiday meal at the bar with my husband and sister. It was most crowded Ive seen the place but the service and food were still excellent. They ran low on the steak fajitas and the manager Hannah went above and beyond by adding a half order of chicken. We tried a couple different cocktails suggested by the friendly and helpful bartender Davey. Overall a great evening and so glad to see a wonderful place in this locale as we are do limited on the North Shore. It is really a hiddem gem with easy parking and geeat food and service!

Horrible place for African American families. I had a family of 10 was told we could be accommodated. I African American hostess gave me a pager and told me that it would be a 45 minute wait. The pager never went off. I went inside after about an hour, the same young lady informed me that we couldn't be served. I asked why no told me and what changed. She threw her hands up and hunched her shoulders. I asked to speak with the manager. The young lady showed us the manager but she wouldn't come out to talk with us. However, we tried talking to her from the lobby and she was in the kitchen. She threatened to call the police because we simply asked to be served. My family was very friendly and polite until we turned to leave the restaurant and she followed talking disrespectful acting like a "KAREN" THAT'S situation could have turned into something serious changing lives.

After being seated (patio) it took at least 8 mins for a waiter to take our order (it wasnt busy). I ordered a chicken taco salad w/ black beans. Again, it took 10+mins to get the salad. The presentation looked good, but the taste wasn't. The chicken (shredded) was mushy and lacked taste as did the entire salad. My guest said the same about the chicken burrito he ordered.

On my business visit in Wisconsin and all places and locations I went to eat this is the only place I give it 5 stars. The service was very welcoming. We sat outside and the view was beautiful. The food was amazing and tasted fresh unlike Poco Loco the steak was overcooked and tasted like it was left over meat or rather the last batch before closing type of meat. We came here about an hour before closing and we also tried Poco Loco an hour before closing but the entire food here at Café Corazón was still fresh unlike Poco Loco. The only thing I'd say otherwise (which isn't really a criticism) is that the food came out so fast I would have liked to sit a bit longer to enjoy one more margarita!!

Meh, mediocre food, El pastor tacos had a weird taste. Fish taco dish said 3ea on menu, but plate arrived with only 2. Nowhere near as good as meals I've had at Bremen location.

1st time trying this place and we were very pleasantly surprised! They obviously spent a lot of time and money bringing this old A&W back to life and giving it new life with quality Mexican fare. You can usually get a feeling of a place by their chips and salsa, both VERY good, so much so, we had to get a small side of guacamole which also checked the box, it was fresh homemade and delicious. I got the taco plate with steak taco truck style, no radish and the meat had amazing seasoning, you could taste a touch of char from being grilled YUM. I can not handle to much spice/heat but this was on the top end of what my stomach can handle with flavor so it should be a good heat level for almost anyone. The queso fresco was actually chihuahua cheese, just as good! The rice I believe was Puerto Rican style (had peas and green beans in it) very good flavor, the refried beans had good consistency, slightly different flavor, but not bad. I had the mango lemonade, I finished it but i wasn't a fan of it. It was my first time having that type of drink so it could have just "not been my thing" I will be back to try others! My other half had the enchilada plate and he was equally impressed (although next time he wants a plate of tacos like mine! Lol) and he was eyeballing other players coming out that he had added to his must try list! He believes this is the best place for Mexican that isn't near national Ave (his 2 favorite places are down there). The wait staff was pleasant and service was well timed and quick. Entering is a narrow walkway/hall but still should accommodate a wheel chair, walker, or stroller. The place inside is not terribly large, maybe 4 tables that seat 4 and about 6-8 that seat 2 with a bar that looks to seat about a dozen or so. There is however outdoor seating and what looks like a serving area that opens up to it. We will definitely be back to try more dishes and the outdoor area!

The chips, salsa, guac and salsa verde were soo good! Went to the Bay View location after having the Birria burrito in Brown Deer only to be disappointed that only the Bay View location had Birria☹ everything the the Bay View location was still phenomenal, however, I really hope that all the locations can have Birria meat as an option! The service was great and attentive.

Really really good drinks not watered down we had the mimosa and mango margarita (must try) , food was also really good! Chips and salsa were so good, we asked for guacamole which also was delicious. Service on point as well, will definitely come back for food and drinks.

Was looking for somewhere to go for Cinco de Mayo and thought I'd give this location a try. Since the smaller interior was at capacity, we sat outside on the patio and chose seats at the bar. Lucky for us, the weather was perfect for it. I ordered the Jalepeno Margarita to start, which was delicious with just a hint of spice. Our server was kind enough to give each of us our own basket of chips and salsa, which was dangerous considering everyone knows how quickly those go down when you're hungry and waiting for your food. The chips were crunchy, although I did wish there was a little more seasoning on them. The salsa was chunky, loaded with tomatoes and some peppers thrown in. For my main dish, I ordered the Corazon Burrito with steak, which was large in size with balanced layers of rice and beans and large pieces of fresh avocado. For dessert, we tried the Chocolate Tres Leches cake. Unlike the traditional version, this was much denser, but once you cut inside the classic makeup was evident. This is a great spot to sit outside, enjoy the weather, mingle with friends and have some classic Mexican food. Not just on Cinco de Mayo!

My first experience was not good unfortunately the steak burrito was dry and over cooked with barely any sauce. The red salsa tasted like tomato paste. The green salsa was good with the chips and guacamole. I also had the birria tacos and I didn’t receive any consommé to go with it.

Interesting place and decor. They have pictures of Jesus Christ but also pictures of the devil (Diablo). I ordered a steak and shrimp fajita and received 3 pieces of steak and 4 shrimps. I’m hurt…..
