While the food is good, this is the second time we have had to go back while ordering carryout, because they didn't get the food right, it is very frustrating because the person on the phone repeated the order back and it was correct, but cooks don't pay attention. Stopped in at Cafe on Main and was pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious—served fast, hot, and clearly made with care. Pricing was fair and in line with what you’d expect from a solid diner, offering good value for the quality. The cutest decor from the hooks for jackets to the pictures on the wall gave it a homey feel.

The space itself was clean, well-kept, and spacious enough that it never felt crowded, even during a busy hour. The waitstaff really stood out—quick, efficient, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better.

Great place for breakfast. We stopped on the way to Madison for a game. Staff was great and the food was prepared perfectly. Hearty breakfast we needed to make it through a day at the game. The service and food was okay. It was paying process that was uncomfortable and weird. They have a hand held card reader that the server hold. It asks you a few questions including tip. It starts with 25% and then 30%, and then 35%. As a server myself, I understand tips are very important to someone in the service industry, but to not even give an option of 20% is ridiculous. Obviously you can write a custom tip, but it makes people feel uncomfortable, especially when the server is literally looking at the screen as you’re filling it out. Food also took too long. I, along with the rest of my group, was really upset walking out. We are all servers and understand the restaurant industry, but this was probably the one of the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. Server also offered cheesy hash browns but didn’t inform us of an up charge of $2 which is very unprofessional in my opinion. Food was good though.

Excellent! I had the cinnamon French toast and side of sausage and fresh fruit for side. So good! All of it was great! The fruit was in season and totally fresh. The sausage links were perfect and the French toast had a frosting that didn't make it too sweet, but was perfectly balanced. My friend had the Cali omelet with Avocado. Tons of veggies and lots of flavor. Hashbrowns were golden and buttery, perfectly cooked. Bacon was cooked to be crispy but not burnt. Perfect in every way. Our server was prompt and super kind. The Cream of Potato Soup and Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich are show stealers for sure! The sandwich was grilled perfectly with just the right amount of crunch but didn't cut the roof of my mouth!! The sandwich is piled high with the most delicious cranberry chicken salad I've ever had! The soup was heavenly! It's not overloaded with ingredients like most, no bacon to take away the potato flavor and no overpowering seasonings. Just good old fashioned cream of potato soup with soft new potato chunks for texture! Hubby got the breakfast and could have eaten a dozen of the sausage patties! Eggs cooked perfect and french toast nice and thick and fluffy!
