Literally the best dining experience in Algoma… or WI. Maybe I’m biased!

We’ve been gone for 2 years, and Janelle recognized us and remembered that we were travelers. We were regulars for a while before moving away, and her attention and memory adds an extra special cherry on top of the Tlazo pie!

The jump start breakfast is EXACTLY the same deliciousness as we remembered, the prices are very fair, and nobody beats their drip coffee selection.

I've lived in 7 countries and 15 states. This is literally the best coffee shop I've ever found. The drinks and food are both 10/10, the shop is really comfortable and pretty, and they are just incredibly wonderful people on top of it. I admit we were apprehensive to stop as this is a small town and
We didn’t know what to expect. What we got was incredible cod brew coffee, a delicious scone and perfectly cooked breakfast sandwich. They made me a wonderful gluten free egg and cheese Sammy that looked and tasted like REAL food .
Love this place.
There’s a fresh pressed juice place across the street we look forward to trying.

Went here for a girls’ lunch. It’s a cute little cafe with good drinks. Unfortunately, I panicked order and really that’s on me. I ordered their club wrap even though I wished I would have perused the menu more and ordered something a little more outside my norm. The wrap was delicious and not soggy. I ordered an iced chai latte and that was super yummy. I was w two other girlfriends and we all ordered food and drinks. Our drinks came out right away, but our food did take a while. It was great catching up w the girls, so I didn’t mind that our food took a while to come out. I would still definitely come here again, tho.

I was really impressed with our experience for breakfast. I had a simple breakfast of eggs/meat/potatoes/toast and it was cooked perfect. Perfectly cooked over easy eggs with plenty of yolk. Many places can’t get an over easy egg right surprisingly. Everything was delicious. And mine was cheap. Like $10 for all that. Had the dark coffee too and it was perfect. Not weak like diner coffee. Atmosphere is great. Clean. I like the tables that have a view of the main drag. Good people watching. Especially during tourism season. Staff was super cool and helpful. I really wish we had gone here sooner. We will definitely be back. Definitely my favorite breakfast spot in the area now. From kewaunee to luxemburg to Algoma.

My wife and I decided to try this coffee shop that was recommended by the locals and upon walking in we first noticed that the staff caters to only the locals so we patiently waited, then finally someone said "Just take a seat and we will be with you shortly" So we did and I decided to use the restroom and when I walked in I noticed this tall man with grey hair walking out a stall and he nodded to me and proceeded out of the door without ever washing his hands. So I didn't think too much of it until I went back to my table and after about 5 minutes I saw this guy going in and out of the kitchen and it turned out to be the owner of this place. I said to my wife time to go and we left and will never go back!!!!!

Delish! From the Italian Benedict (I had with prosciutto and my partner had the chorizo - which was thinly sliced, chewy yet crispy - DELISH!!!), to the Cafe Milano (iced for me!). I was in the area & looking for a quick bite around 2 p.m. A local store recommended this cafe. I had a chicken salad wrap. It was good, I prefer some grapes in mine for a bit of sweetness. This had onions, which I've never had in chicken salad. It definitely was big enough to split with someone. I bought half back to my inn. I understand that chicken salad can vary regionally. The bakery looked amazing. Everyone was very friendly, and food came out quickly. They have lots of seating inside & out.

It was difficult to choose from so many wonderful-sounding dishes on the menu.

A pleasantly eccentric and elegant local coffee and cafe that is a must-go-to if you are in the Algoma area. Pleasant, hospitable, and knowledgable staff. Not the largest establishment in town, but it does boast fairly adequate seating in a couple of different settings. If you happen to come when busy, it is worth the wait for a seat. In the warmer weather, outside seating becomes a welcome addition. The front area gives a very nice and warm view of the area street via plenty of windows. The coffee and food are excellent. After the wine venues, Tlazo is becoming our reason to take a nice jaunt towards the lakeshore!

I had been looking for a dairy free cake for my daughters first birthday and when I called Tlazo the day before, staff was immediately willing and very helpful. I picked up the adorable dairy free cake the next day with a personal note attached. Judy is just a hoot and so nice. Came the next day to return the cake carrier and got breakfast, it is so delicious. The spicy egg sandwich on ciabatta is huge and so good. Will be coming back!

the italian eggs benedict was very yummy. the fruit in the side of fruit was just ok, but the whipped cream on top of it was delicious. the cold brew was full of flavor. we liked the charming little gifts for sale that adorn the wall as you stand in line; we purchased a couple of mugs and choco covered espresso beans. food was slow but they are a bit understaffed and working hard. they make sure to have your coffee out right away, though :)

My sister and I were in town for a long weekend and hit up Caffe Tlazo for lunch on a Sunday for takeout. It was very busy, but we ordered, and had our food within 15 minutes. Excellent customer service; they were running all over the place and kept a smile on their faces. I got the Grilled Sausage and Spinach Panini (sausage, cheese, spinach) and it was very good. The Maple Spice Frappe was phenomenal. I love everything maple but coffee drinks always seem to fall short in pulling the maple flavor through. This was worth the wait. The best maple flavored drink I've ever had. I wish I lived closer; I'd have a hard time not stopping every day.

When in Algoma always get coffee here. Great coffee, all hot coffees today: "Pumpkin Spice Dirty Chai" nice hint of pumpkin, not too sweet, how I like it. "Fall , and "Bon Fire". Saw it was busy when we got there. Only complaint is I wish they had been more forthcoming how backed up they were when ordering. Took 50 minutes to get our coffees after ordering. If we had known we would have passed today and would not have held it against them.

I was in Algoma for a Salmon Fishing Charter with Chris Kadletz Outcast Sport Fishing and was looking around for a place to have lunch on 8/26/2022. I stopped in and had a Cesar Salad with chicken and a bowl of tomato gouda soup. It was so good I came back for coffee and a specialty breakfast sandwich before departing Algoma which was exceptional as well.. The service was great and we had fantastic fishing creating a memorable experience. I highly recommend and will be back on my next charter fishing trip.

LOVE this charming cafe. The staff is so friendly and down to earth. The drinks are AMAZING, I am super picky when it comes to my frappes but they nailed it on the first try. The food is delicious as well. Take a drive and treat yourself!

Our favorite coffee shop and cafe outside of Green Bay! We LOVE Caffe Tlazo. Staff is always very friendly and welcoming. Their fantastic selection of rotating drink concoctions makes it easy to pick a drink while trying something new each time. Food is consistently delicious as well. We enjoy the bright, comfortable atmosphere, plus Lake Michigan is just down the road. Always worth the drive. Highly recommend!
