Our upscale casual restaurant offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, with some of the best views in Door County. Located at the north end of the Landmark Resort in Egg Harbor, the Carrington has a full bar, excellent food, and friendly and attentive service. We feature award-winning food with a wide range of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, steaks, fish, American classics, and tempting desserts.

Happy to be Martina’s last ever table! She was a wonderful server. Food was fantastic, got the fall harvest salad, poutine, and ribs. We are Chicagoians foodies and this was a high quality and flavorful meal! Cocktails were a little watered down but tasted great. Very reasonably priced and great atmosphere! Would come again.

Beautiful location and view. Bartender was great and friendly. Our waitress Martina was lovely and very attentive. Drinks were great, I recommend the Cherry Martini. Dinner was good, but the chef needs to learn to let the meat shine a bit more. Both my lamb chops and husbands tenderloin had so much sauce and coatings, the flavor of the meat was lost.

We loved this restaurant. Unfortunately, the food quality has dropped dramatically under new management. I was very disappointed with the ribs. They used to have the best Old Fashioned in town. I regretted trying their “New Fashioned”. Overall a terrible experience. We will not be returning.

Would come annually to have their chicken Alfredo or pesto gnocchi. Went this past weekend and their menu changed. We took a gamble expecting similar quality. Food was horrible, salad tasted like fish ( simple wedge salad) mac and cheese tasted foul and portions for a $30+ dish were small. We found out they were bought out and are under new management which is sad as it was one of our favorit places to eat when visiting. Will not be returning.

Carrington is pure magic, but our server Becca took the whole experience to another level. She has a way of making you feel like royalty—anticipating every need with perfect timing and genuine warmth. The food was incredible (I’m still wondering if the chefs have secret superpowers), but Becca’s energy and care made the night unforgettable. If dining here is a win, getting Becca as your server is hitting the jackpot.

Maja was incredible at managing our big group and was wonderfully personal. She is a seasoned pro. Asher at the bar was also so hospitable that he even came out just to help us give some chips to our nephew at the other end of the table. For wonderful service and ambience, this can’t be beat.

Not your Mom & Dad's Carrington!
Under new management and a new chef, this restaurant has vastly improved from previous years!
Service was awesome. Keep in mind, they do not take reservations unless your group is 8 or more. Plenty of staff on hand. Our server, Martina, was excellent, checking by often to make sure things were good.
Atmosphere is quiet. Casual with a formal feel to it. Seating also outside if you want to absorb the sunset.
All that said, what really stood out was the food. My wife and I had a full rack of ribs and for $36, this ended up being 3 meals for us. These ribs were huge! A lot of meat on the bone and done perfectly with a Door County cherry glaze and served over roasted vegetables. A smoked gouda mac & cheese just glistened in the bowl. That's right, a bowl full. Quite enjoyable with my espresso martinis. Well worth the money.

The ribs were dry and not at all like what we had 2 years ago and the current pictures are out dated. The atmosphere was loud and hard to hear our friends. Had a singer that did not sing well and was really loud. Asher our waiter was phenomenal!!!! He went above and beyond. He deserves a raise.

I can’t say enough good about our experience at Carrington.
We had by far the best meal and service.
Dana ( our waitress) was phenomenal.
We live in Milwaukee and have so many options for great food but this was by far one of the best meals we have ever had.
We started with old fashions which here perfect.
For an entree we had Tenderloin/ Ribeye steaks. Both with onion and mushrooms. Our steaks were perfect!! The meals were accompanied with grilled vegetables and homemade mashed potatoes / and homemade baked Mac n cheese.
Dana was so sweet and made the experience so good. The views of Green Bay from out table were amazing too.
We’ve become so accustomed to high prices for mediocre food and service, so this deserves an excellent review.
Hope you go to Carrington in Egg Harbor when in Door County. We will certainly be back!!

Great waitress. Husband and l ordered the fish dinners/cod. It looked and tasted like it was a reheated dish. It was Not fresh, not hot. Nothing special about presentation, more like diner food. Even the fries tasted old, reheated. Wedge salads were good. We stay at the Landmark every winter, but won't return to the Carrington.

They are RARELY open. The hours are so limited. We've been staying at Landmaek Resort for years and even during peak season they are only open for dinner 5 days per werk. It would be really great to pop over for lunch with a view. Landmark is so busy. Carrington would make a killing.

Food was great and we had the sweetest server! All of their staff had great hospitality!
We got the French Dip Sandwich, Mediterranean Salmon, and a slice of Key Lime Pie.
French Dip Sandwich (5/5), meat was incredibly tender and had tons of flavor! The freshly cooked onions and mushrooms tied everything together. The dip also had a great flavor!
Mediterranean Salmon (5/5), cooked perfectly. The salmon was moist and had a ton of flavor! The veggies on top were also cooked perfectly and the garlic butter sauce was absolutely amazing.
Key Lime Pie (5/5), the perfect dessert to end a big meal. It was a nice sized slice with the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. The graham cracker crust and the whip cream tied everything together beautifully.

Terrible experience for me. We didn’t have a reservation but the hostess said she could seat us anyways. No one came to take our drink/food order for half an hour or more. Once they did take our order, drinks took a long time to come out. They were good drinks at least. When my steak came out it was comically small (definitely not an 8oz fillet). Also the steak was overcooked. At this point I’m not saying anything. I’m just never coming back. 2/5 would not recommend.

Lovely experience for my partners 30th birthday! The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and quick. The food was excellent and when I accidentally got the wrong side with my meal, the waitress brought me the right one with no hassle or issues. The drinks were really amazing and the bartender was wonderful! Will definitely be visiting again when we’re back in the area!

We have been coming to Carrington for years now when visiting Door County. The view of Egg Harbor down below the restaurant adds to outdoor atmosphere. The fish and chips, along with a very good margarita, is my go to meal. Same for my wife, along with a good strawberry margarita. Our daughter said the fish tacos was very good so next time we may switch it up and try that. The key lime pie was a nice ending to a decent meal.
The waitress was extremely friendly and added to the already enjoyable meal.

Took 10 minutes for water that the host got me. Host told me twice that the server would be right over. I had to leave after 15minutes because the server never came by the table. She passed by me on the way to help multiple other tables pay their bill, (typical “get that tip and get out” mentality). My guest told me they had poor service the last time she tried to eat there also, which I was unaware of.

Mother’s Day is a special time. We attended brunch at The Carrington for our first visit there. The food was so-so. Much of it was cold or like warm. We felt that there should have been breakfast selections other than quiche. No sausage, bacon, eggs, etc. We had to bring our own used plates to the bartender. Would have been nice to have had some soft music…piano or something. Maybe we’ll try again.

We were really looking forward to dining there. The atmosphere was nice. The service, “Ken” was amazingly bad. Never asked if we wanted water, another drink, dessert,etc. Didn’t bring condiments we had asked for repeatedly, was truly horrible. We were in a great mood, he really didn’t meet our needs. We had reservations for the next night, were excited about the next night, but canceled our reservations based solely on the horrible service on the previous night. Wouldn’t go again.

Some of the food was good and some was really bad. Prime rib was good. Fish was over cooked and scallop potatos were bland and dry. The comedy show was terrible. The only positive was a staff member that sang prior to the two comedians. The show was incredibly hard to sit through and people just wanted it to be over.

If you plan to have curry as a specialty it would be a good idea if the "chef" has tasted curry before. No seasoning, bland, not good. Also the turkey in a hot brown should be real turkey not lunch meat. Very disappointing. Server appeared not thrilled to be there, doing the absolute minimum she had to do. Again very disappointing.

We did not sit inside so I can't speak so much for that but this was the second time we've been here the meals are very good very high quality. Don't forget to like and smash that follow button LOL. We had a small wedding in Egg Harbor and had our “reception” dinner of 15 people at the Carrington. We wanted a wide variety of options on the menu, a view, and to sit outside. The Carrington checked all those items on our list. The months leading up to our wedding we visited the Carrington numerous times to taste the food while also confirming our outdoor reservations with the host or hostess each time we went. Upon arriving on our wedding day, we were told they could not accommodate reservations greater than 10 people for outside due to “insurance reasons”. Needless to say, we were very upset and disappointed that they did not inform us of that the numerous times prior that we spoke to them. Instead, they set up multiple tables outside and our entire wedding could not sit together. While the wait staff was nice, they did not offer their apologies or find a better solution for us. Ultimately the view was great, but we had a very disappointing wedding reception dinner. We will not be back.

Things you need to know about Carringtons if you choose to go.
1. Stick to menu items. You won't be disappointed.
2. Avoid any holiday buffet. It is lackluster at best. Many items on our Easter buffet was void of flavor including the fruit. How is that even possible? We were put into the downstairs event room which was a shock. Our whole purpose for choosing Carringtons was to dine with the upstairs Bay view. The buffet was not kept clean. The table linens were not refreshed in between guests. It was such a disappointment for $38/person.
3. Ask for a window seat when you reserve. If the weather is gorgeous ask for outdoor seating. They have the most stunning view of the Bay and it's marvelous!
4. Their bar is great, especially during big sports events/games on TV.

Good place, great view from the dining room. Old Fashions were well made. I had the ribs and my wife had the baked haddock both were good. Flourless chocolate torte cake was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Our food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time and was hot. Seen lots of negative reviews on this place but we had nothing but a positive experience. If I had anything negative it was that the food is a little pricey for what you get, but these days what's not? Overall I recommend and would return to try more items on the menu given the chance. We returned in December and had another good experience. The service was good and so was the food. We both did the Mediterranean Caesar Salad. I had flat iron steak added and my wife had shrimp. The salads were fresh and very tasty.

We showed up on a Saturday around 645pm without a reservation (party of 4 adults) and were told the wait would be an hour. We were fine with that and got a drink at the bar. The bartender was fantastic. The hostess had a bit of an attitude. We got seated an hour later and ordered our food right away. An hour later our food arrived. It was warm and good but very late. The restaurant was not very busy. We would have gotten dessert but we’re sick of waiting so long we paid and left. Not sure id be back considering how long it took to get the food. Come with the intent of finishing a few good drinks before you arrive or you’ll get bored (and hungry) waiting so long.

Amazing new old fashioned using cherry bourbon. Chicken Giradino was so delicious and flavorful. Outside seating with gas heaters made the outside comfortable and still able to enjoy Wisconsin crisp fall. Wife's filet was tender and full of flavor. When we arrived, one of the staff came out to us and informed us that our brake lights were not working. That was above and beyond.

Ignore the haters. Likely they are from Illinois and impatient after their long drive from hell to paradise. 5 star cherry BBQ ribs, succulent lobster, fantastic ribeye and the DC new fashioned and DC side car drinks were incredible. Oh, and the service was great. Let the haters hate!

Served our food to the wrong people at the bar because they never asked the bar tender who it was for. when they discovered their mistake they reserved it to us even after we tried to refuse the food, they never listen to us needless to say I didn't eat any of it , how discussing they should have remade the food . Ruined our evening , I won't be eating there anytime soon.

Probably one of the best views in Door County off of the patio at Carrington! There are a lot of good patios in Door County- but this one is really top notch.

View was awesome. Service was the worst. Sat us down and gave us water. Was 25 minutes before they came back for our drink order and that was after we asked a bus person to send a server to our table. Ordered the ribs with regular BBQ sauce and got the cherry BBQ sauce. Server was never around. Worst service ever!

Really got the feeling that this place had just hired summer help and threw them to the wolves without proper training. A few of the employees didn't seem like they knew what they were supposed to do and didn't always have someone else around to support them.
Arrived at 6:15 and despite at least half the tables in the place being empty they said they couldn't seat us until 7:45. No big deal we know some places are understaffed and maybe have COVID protocols for seating so we waited at the bar and had a drink.
When 7:45 rolls around I go to the hostess to ask if our table is ready. There were three employees there, it seemed like two new people who were confused about where to put us and one experienced employee who seemed annoyed that she had to help. They sort of discussed/bickered at each other a bit before figuring out where they would put us. The whole thing just really made it feel like we were a big inconvenience for them.
Soon after that we get seated and put in our orders with the waitress. It seemed pretty clear that the waitress was frustrated with her newer coworkers and she even made a comment about it which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Again it just kind of felt like serving us was an inconvenience which is not a good feeling as a customer. We put in our orders a burger for myself and fish and chips for my wife. It took about 45 minutes for the food to come out during which time the waitress did not come back and check on us at all. At one point I just went to the bar for another drink and a water for my wife.
When the food arrives my wife's fish and chips were fine but my burger was well done and a little burnt despite them making a point to ask me how I wanted it cooked and asking for medium. The fries were also sort of just soggy. It felt like they just threw some frozen fries in the oven just long enough for them to thaw and be sort of warm.
There definitely were some positives. Their cocktails were pretty good and their location has an amazing view. I think the experience would probably be better later in the summer season when everyone has been fully trained. But there are quite a few good restaurants in town that I would opt for before this one.

I would like to relate how much we enjoyed the food at Carrington's, but unfortunately I can't because we never got any food. After showing up right on time for our evening reservation and being seated by the hostess we were basically ignored for the rest of the evening. After about 20 minutes I asked the hostess to find our server because we hadn't seen anyone yet. Finally we were able to have our bottle of wine opened and ordered a starter course only to once again be forgotten. We could see our server in other areas of the restaurant bussing tables but she never returned to our table. When we started noticing tables around us that had been seated after we were getting their main courses and we had never even gotten our starter it was obvious it was time for us to leave. We then went downtown Egg Harbor and enjoyed a nice dinner with good service and a beautiful view of the sunset. I realize that in this new world of staffing shortages and supply chain problems, it is important that consumers such as I learn to be tolerant of delays in service. However there comes a time when the bad service is simply mismanagement or incompetentance.

We ask for a table on the deck, they sat us down and no one came to serve us. A few more people arrived after we did, also sat on the deck, got water, drinks and ordered food, while we waited. We talked to a waitress to ask for service, after another 10 more minutes, no one came and we left. Never going back there

The food was absolutely horrible. The atmosphere was even worse. I could not eat more than half of my club sandwich- yes, a club. Should be a safe item to order. It had NO bacon, the Turkey was very bad and had way way too much. What’s worse than bad Turkey? Way too much bad Turkey. My wife’s salad was $20 and had very little on it even after the $8 dollar upgrade for 4 shrimp. Our artichoke dip was full of husks and couldn’t be chewed and the chips they used we round yellow corn tortilla chips from a bag at the store. We literally left the restaurant after “eating” and paying and went out for another dinner because we didn’t hardly eat. For a $50 dinner(no drinks) it was the worst meal I’ve ever had.

The Carrington Door County (previously The Carrington Pub & Grill) has long been a favorite place to dine.
They have a good variety of dishes on their menu from the appetizers, to deserts steak, hamburgers, salads, pasta dishes, a great fish fry, (I enjoy the baked haddock) and much more. I've always been very satisfied and filled with their dishes.
Their staff in the peak season is fabulous with their professional and attentive service. Off season is a little more laid back, and I'll admit I enjoy the summer help more, but this will always be our go to place of choice.
The atmosphere is welcoming with a double sided fireplace as you enter the building and tables on its flipside in the main dining area to enjoy the ambiance and warmth while you dine.
There is a full bar and they occasionally have live entertainment and in the winter months karaoke for all you rising stars 🌟
They offer inside as well as outside dining that offers a view of the tranquil grounds of the Landmark Resort and of course the lake with spectacular DC sunsets. In cooler months they have the patio heaters throughout the outside dining area.
Overall I highly recommend checking out the Carrington Door County.

Holy Garlic! Wow! Way too much! My toothbrush wilted! And the chef doesn’t know medium steak received rare, they did make it right my not making me pay for it. Waitress and staff had attitude. Crazy because I have been there before and completely different experience. Complaints from the staff from the moment we got there should be happy to have business. Good Luck if you go!

First and foremost, the food was absolutely amazing! If it weren't for the food, this would be a 1 star review for sure. My husband and I decided to take our first trip to Door County for our mini-honeymoon. Our Airbnb host for a room at the Landmark Resort was kind enough to extend a free night to us so we packed our bags and left immediately after work on Thursday. We checked in about 7:15 and saw the highly rated restaurant, Carrington's was open until 8pm. We figured we would stop in to see if we could be seated for a quick dinner, order for take-out, or worst case would find they had closed early and we'd come back another night. We heard a family check in next to us and say they were headed there as well, so we knew we wouldn't be the only ones. When we arrived, we simply politely asked for a table for 2 and asked to confirm "you're open until 8 right?" Only to receive the rudest, passive aggressive response "well we actually wanted to close at 7:30 today..." without looking at us and marching us to a table. There was a family seated that hadn't even been served food and they were 5 minutes away from the time they supposedly had hoped to close. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and unnecessary. But it got even worse when the waitress angrily set waters on the table and walked away...came back with a frown and asked for our drink order. My husband apologized and said we'd be quick, to which she just angrily responded there were other people there already, so it doesn't matter. Knowing the ribs were highly rated, my husband asked if it was too late to order that. She responded "you can have whatever you like sir" with a look that could kill. So when we ordered she responded with sighs and shook her head. This continued on all night until it was blatantly obvious we wanted to get out of there and felt like a burden. The waitress perked up a bit in the last couple minutes. Even throughout all this, because of working in the service industry we still decided to tip. We will likely return due to the food being so great, but if we receive that type of service again, we will have to cross it off of our list in the future. Amazing food, terrible service.

The pasta was on the lesser side of mediocre. Neither dish that we ordered had flavor. The fettuccine dish with capers needed a spoon to swirl the pasta and be able to enjoy the capers. Our food was rudely plopped on the table and the waitress says, "There you go" and walked away to not return until time to ask for dessert. We would have loved that spoon and a water refill.
Upon asking for dessert, I could not recall what was on the menu. We kindly asked for a dessert menu and it was clearly a bother. She brought the menu and slapped it down and walked away. Needless to say, we did not order dessert. We typically tip 30%, not this time. Zero tip was given until she can change her attitude. We are here for a few nights and will not return and. Will not recommend to others.

My husband and I ordered from here because it was the restaurant that was closest to the resort we stayed at and didn't feel like eating out. We ordered for carryout and the Spinach artichoke dip was excellent. I ordered the haddock with was also great and my husband ordered a pasta dish which he really liked. The bartender was very sweet and gave us a suggestion for a winery to try while we were in town. Overall it was great food and great service and we definitely plan to go again on our next stay.

We didn’t have reservations but only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. We sat at the bar for a drink while we waited. Once seated the service was good and we were out in about half an hour. I had the chicken piccata and my husband had the ribs. Both were excellent. It was dark so we couldn’t see the landscape but am sure it is pretty there during the day.

My wife and I had the 1/2 rack of ribs, along with garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The food showed up luke warm and before I got through half the ribs, the rest were cold. The mashed potatoes were cold quickly as well. The service we received from Marsha was less than stellar, never checked to see if I wanted more water or another drink. Probably will not return.

The food was good. We called to make a reservation for 7 and arrived at 6:45. Our table wasn't ready until 7:20 so the hostess suggested to get a drink at the bar. As soon as we sat down, one of the female bartenders with pink hair loudly said we'll get to you as soon as we can. Understandable- as it was a busy Friday night. However, the longer we sat there, the louder she got and continued to complain how busy they were. She was basically yelling orders with a poor attitude. A group of 7 elderly women come over to order drinks and she was extremely rude and condescending to them. While one woman was ordering and said it was going to be separate checks, the bartender said it's going to be much longer (after one of the other ladies said to put it on one tab) and shouted out the price. Because of how she was acting, we left the bar. Once we finally sat down at our table for our meal, we could still hear her yelling and even swearing in an Extremely unprofessional tone! We understand that it's a busy night and we were more than willing to wait; however, being so rude to customers is unacceptable! I would not go to this place again because of the service and I would not recommend to anyone else staying in Egg Harbor.
