We stopped by for their Friday fish fry which was great! The space was super clean and we enjoyed the live music. Staff were prompt and friendly. They kindly and proactively accommodate to the kids in the group, offering apple sauce and gold fish to hold their appetites over until dinner. Thanks for helping us to avoid any hangry meltdowns 💕

Second time here at Carter’s Pub just Off I-90 near New Lisbon WI. They have great food, beverages and friendly staff. Today trying their brunch menu. I recall fish fry was stellar! I see Wisconsin River Meats is the featured purveyor for Steak 🥩 and eggs ($15). Friendly and fast table service by Andrea. Solid!!! Great top-shelf selections if your into Bourbons. Cheers!

It was very cold in there. Had to put jacket back on to stop shivering. They were out of the pork when we got there at 12:30. That was fine . Ordered the backed Mac and cheese. To start with it wasn't baked. It was barely warm and it was tasteless. It was very runny. Had to use a spoon to eat the sauce. Reminded me of a cheese soup with noodles added. We will go back for appetizers and Bloody Mary's.

Somebody is keeping this place a secret. The live music is incredible. The prices are even more incredibler.
If you have an eclectic taste in music, this place is the "go to."
They have an outdoor , bring your own chair, music stage.
It has a convenient outdoor beer and canned drink stall. Ice cold beer and even some canned mixed drinks at unbelievably low prices.
Back to the music. I have enjoyed electric blues to Ska to an authentic British Rock Band.
The lead singer sounded like Steven Perry, Stephen Tyler and Lou Graham at different times. POWER!
My only complaint? Under attended. Why? Ticket prices? The concerts are free!!! For now.
I will continue with a food review on a later post.
I will say, I was born and raised in Wisconsin, lived in other states, big cities, traveled Europe and rarely find food of this quality... And it is underpriced.
I miss Randi, a lot, but I think he is smiling down from that golf course in the sky.

The service was not good. Was not given the specials. When we sat down, we were given a menu but had to ask what their fish was. It was a Friday. Had no clue how much the fish was. Forgot my drink had to go to the bar to get it myself. On the way out, we saw a board that was not in a good spot and has different fish and specials that we were not told about. If It was busy, I could see these things happening, but they were not.

Third time I've been there when not serving food or closed during posted hrs. Maybe half full and told hour wait. Bartender was apologetic and upfront about wait. Then they closed the kitchen. Had a frozen pizza and 2 beers for $32 with tip. Overheard several nasty comments from other customers.
Was a great convenient bar for so many years but now instead of a 1 mile trip I will drive further for better food and reasonable prices. Don't mind paying top dollar but not for a low value meal.

This was our first time eating here. I had heard wonderful things about the food, and we were excited to try it. I ordered the baked macaroni and cheese with barbecued pulled pork, Jason had the mushroom burger with bacon jam and an order of onion rings with their special sauce. OUTSTANDING! Just moved from the big city to this area and was recommended Carters. Wow am I impressed! I had the big papa handheld steak sandwich which may be the best steak sandwich I have ever had in my 32 years on this earth. The owners were working because they were unfortunately short staffed but that didn’t stop them from providing top service and friendly smiles! Just so impressed by this place… we’ve been to a handful of other local establishments and I’m going to be honest, the food here at Carters just seems much better quality. We will definitely be making this a regular hang out. Thanks for the great service and food!

I ate here with family and was so happy to find a place in this area that offered a different menu feel than the typical greasy menu. I was gleeful to order a simple, lighter item like bruschetta, which is hard to get around here. I followed that up with the burger special, and it's a great value. The rest of the family all liked their meals, and we enjoyed trying each other's entrees. The Brandy Old Fashioned was on point as well.

Newer establishment. Food menu is smaller but each food item is either good or really good! Owners are fantastic people and they truly care about their customers. Their prices are very reasonable, a beer and dinner will cost under $20. Their service is great, they have a full time manager on staff to ensure everything runs smoothly, to me, this place is a diamond in a small area.

Visited on opening day and what a pleasant experience!
