Really cute place but food was quite disappointing. I had the lunch chicken enchilada. There was hardly any chicken and what was in it was dry and probably 4-5 days old. Entire group had sub par dishes and the food was not very hot even tho the plates were warm. Would not go back, there are plenty of other great dining options in the area.

Not a bad place for food. Nothing too special or to push someone from coming back. Services was subpar- it’s business. Not a lot of conversations or greeting. Booth or table? What do you wanna eat? Are you ready? Serve done, check, cash, goodbye. Bathrooms were a bit on the older and kindve on the gross end but it’s old. Reminds me of the ones in the movies where you tell your kid not to touch anything.

This place has drastically went down hill. The past few times my food has been mostly liquid, and I have ordered different things.
I ordered a Beef Taco Salad and found 3 Bay Leavesin it. When I notified the waitress she said they use them to cook the beef - Well remove them and don't expect your customers to pick through their meal removing things that should not be there.
My most recent visit, I ordered Chicken Nachos Fajitas and the liquid from the sauce was running off the plate, it was not even edible!

I hate to say this was by far the worse dining experience we have had at Casa Mexicana CF. We have come back a couple time through the years but today was terrible. My husband’s meal was overly salty to the point it wasn’t edible. We ordered 2 kids meal chicken tenders, only received one. The one we did receive the chicken was completely overcooked/ burnt and pre sliced prior to frying. When asked to re-fire the one we had, we were told then they were out of chicken tenders. We got eye rolls from the server when requesting a menu to choose something else, and then again only received 1 of the two kids meals re-ordered. I’m all for understanding mistakes and if the restaurant is busy, but it wasn’t even prime dinner time on a Sunday evening. Needless to say we will not be going back. There was lack of apologies for the mistakes that occured and zero ownership. Asking me if everything is okay every two seconds AFTER the food being brought up didn’t make it any better.

Horrendous experience, ordered two chicken strip meals for my kids… they only brought one out.. the one was so burnt we couldn’t split it l. Asked for a new one they told us they were out… so we ordered two things of mini corn dogs.. for the two kids who were at the table… they brought one… said wait you want two kids meals… they still tried charging for the chicken strips… I have been there before but whoever was working on 06/22/2025… that was the worst dining experience and just can’t go back after that experience.. it was terrible

Service was fine, but not exceptional..food was out fast but that was a bad sign for its quality..my expectations were low going into the meal, expecting Midwestern Mexican but this was even below my expectation as it was the most bland Mexican I've had and I've had some bland Mexican. They may have bought the meat at Walmart, tossed it in a corn tortilla, opened a can of refried beans, sprinkled some Walmart shredded cheese on it and microwaved it. I know you may read this and think I'm exaggerating, but I am not. I hate complaining but I don't want someone to experience what I did. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing by ordering the combo burrito enchilada.

Great food and really appreciated that they were open when everything else was closed. Loved the food, the variety and service. Authentic Mexican food and the atmosphere was great as well. Our server was very fun and he reminded us of when we go to a Mexican Resort and the awesome hosts with great personalities. I had exactly 17 words said to me during my meal. I asked for no old lettuce in my salsa that had obviously gone through the dishwasher and dried in the bowl. I got zero apologies and zero service while I ate. The attitude of the waitress changed quickly with the request for fresh salsa. After tasting the ketchup, I mean salsa I was sorry I even asked. Food is average small town Mexican with no elevation to it. It also took longer to order the food than it did to get it.

If I could give 0 I would. We came here for a late lunch, don’t even live close to the area, no one in the entire place, the server was so rude, short, no smile, no small talk, absolutely NOTHING! I’ve been to tons of Mexican restaurants, I’ve had excellent service there, here… NOPE… food was mediocre. Bathrooms were 100 degrees. My fiancée did say the salsa was fabulous. Me, didn’t care. Oh ya, to top it off, I asked for a to go container, ya… you know what she gave me; a fricken cup with a lid.

The pass two times I've door dashed food from here, I've gotten a long black hair in my refried beans. When I actually go to the restaurant itself, no hair in the food. Recently doordashed from here again, once again, long black hair in my beans.

It's happened too many times for this to be a coincidence... idk why, but it would seem they don't like it when you order food from them via doordash so for anyone else reading this review, watch out for a long black hair in your refried beans. It's always in the beans. Never the tacos, burritos, Quesadillas, or anything else. Always the refried beans.

The food itself is absolutely delicious and amazing, but if I keep getting long black hairs in my refried beans when I order food from here through doordash, I'm not gonna eat here anymore. 3 times is too many to be an accident.

My family and I are so disappointed in this place and will now not be returning. The wait staff was extremely rude and we felt as though she was annoyed to be serving us. No smile, wouldn’t respond every time I said thank you etc. my son ordered chocolate milk which upon receiving was expired and sour. Our food was luke warm and didn’t taste fresh. Overall just a bad experience and we won’t be going back. The Cancun off Hastings has always been great service and great food so we will stick with that.

A family member who lives in the area suggested this for supper as I was traveling through the area. She eats there regularly so it came highly recommended. I ordered the 3 enchilada plate and ate every bite. Homemade tortilla chips would have taken the meal up a notch and the salsa was bland (even for my Minnesotan salt and pepper palate). Good value! Been coming here since 2010. Food is still good (could be a little warmer), but the service from one waitress in particular has been so off-putting I can't keep going back. Drinks and food are unceremoniously thrown on the table in front of you. Never checks on you, runs away, ignores you and avoids eye contact. We used to live here and come back every time we are in town (which is often) and won't be bothering anymore. It's a shame, it used to be so wonderful here that we would drive 1.5 hours JUST for dinner. No longer. Adios.

Always had a great meal but last night the chicken chimmy was not crispy like usual and the ranchero enchilada was very fatty and the enchilada was full of cheese and not very tasty. When they were a newer business they did a good job . Now they reuse customers cheese sauce if you do not finish it on your table. Avoid this restaurant because they do some very gross things with food and no longer care what it tastes like and have lost the momentum they had when first opened. The people who work there have become shady and like to do things that really make the food questionable and will make you very mad as a paying customer. We have seen them dump used cheese sauce in the for sale pot 2 times now and have had the staff screw with our food for pointing out. Also have had this place try to steal money from us by intentianally overcharging us for chips and dip to the tune of 47 dollars. When I pointed out the error they got defensive and screamed at us as if we were in the wrong for catching them . I had to point out the menu price and make them repeat it back to me before they admitted wrongdoing . Never eat here until something major changes. The new remodel is nice looking but the staff hates its customers and they treat all the customers that way. Casa Vallarta in Eau Claire which is possibly the best food in Wisconsin when you crave great Mexican food driving the extra 10 minutes to Vallarta is so worth the money. This place has lost itself and is no longer clean or worth your money.

A lot to be desired. I suppose they get good reviews because of the demographic here. The staff aren't very warm and act as if they don't want to be there. Some of the beef we had was a bit chewy but everything else was decent. Chips were a bit stale and the salsa was lacking. It was very tomato heavy with little flavor. I would give them another shot except this was their second shot. It's not bad, just don't get your hopes up.

The food was good and the place is clean. The waitress was indifferent. We certainly were not made to feel welcome there. Once we had eaten and were ready to leave I went up to pay and handed her a $7(30%) tip. She simply stuffed it in a container and walked away without a word. Unbelievable really. One of our (almost) weekly haunts! We love 🌮 Tuesday for $.99 hard shell tacos. Also, the horchatta is always fabulous. Lol loves their margaritas on the rocks and chimichangas. A true gem of Chippewa Falls. Fast service, good food. The restaurant is decorated very colorfully and is a feature in and of itself. If you're looking for a quality Mexican meal at a good price delivered quickly, Casa Mexicana is the place.

The food is decent. The tacos are okay, but I probably wouldn't have those again. Some of the other food is better, like the enchiladas and burritos. The chips and salsa that come when you arrive are very delicious. The service is okay, but when I went there in the evening, one of the staff vacuumed 15 minutes before closing. The vacuum was very loud, so I wasn't able to have any conversation. I felt like that was rude. The restaurant is very colorful, and I like the Mexican music.
