Overall experience was pretty good. Food was good. Waitress was very nice. Must have been a slow day, was just her by herself. But she kept up pretty darn good. We didn't fault her for that. I had the carne asada tacos, which were fine. It is a decent amount of food, plus the steak is quite filling. It was sunday... but they were all out of bloody mary ingredients. Pretty sad.

I’ve been to Casa Tequilla on at least three different occasions. I wasn’t impressed with my first visits and thought the food was just “okay” at best. I recently stopped in again for lunch out of convenience and I ordered the taco carnitas. The chips and salsa that are standard was nothing special, the salsa is not homemade. The rice and beans on the side were sadly the best part of the meal. The tacos came on corn tortillas with pulled pork, cilantro and onion. The pork looked pale as I would bet that it came out of a leftover container in the refrigerator and the juice had all seeped out of the meat along with mush of the flavor. The corn tortillas were very mushy, almost pasty, and it was likely that they were constructed from the fridge and then microwaved before being topped with the cilantro and onion. There was a moment where I did wonder if this was safe to eat. Fast forward about 45 min and I was desperately looking for a restroom with several minutes of clammy cold sweats. The bill for three tacos and a Diet Coke plus tax was almost $20. I tipped $5 as the service was friendly and attentive but don’t think I’ll ever be going back.

Being from Texas, I assume that Mexican restaurants would be good everywhere I go. How disappointing it is to find out that these people cook to appease the gringos. The food is bland, the beans come from a can, and the rice has no spices whatsoever. I had the parillada, and the little pieces of meat had no seasoning on it and way too many veggies on it. It also had potatoes on it. Potatoes!!!! I don't understand how any restaurant won't make homemade tortillas!!! I think I'm going to give up on these places. They just plain out suck.

We had horrible service from our server while dining in. The table that ordered after our table received their meal 15 minutes before our food was brought to our table. The shrimp tacos I had were overcooked and rubbery with no flavor, not to mention the pieces of questionable chopped hamburger mixed in one of my tacos. The rice and beans were very bland and not hot. We generally live going here to eat, but being in the food service industry for over 20+ years. I find this disturbing and I'm not sure if I'll be a returning patron of this establishment location. Now, hopefully I don't get sick from what I ate tonight. I did talk to the manager about our entire service and she only offered to take my dinner off and if I wanted anything else but, I declined any more good because of what I found amongst my tacos.

Came here for lunch, got a table right away, there was no wait, even showing up at a few minutes after 12. There was only one other couple in here. I have been here several times over the years. We had the best experience with Casa Tequila in Pewaukee last night. I worked with the manager Diana on a catering order. She delivered it yesterday to perfection. Everything we ordered we got and then some. The food was so fresh and so tasty. Everybody just raved about it and there were plenty of leftovers for everyone to take some home. Big portions! I had a terrible experience when I arrived at this place... I ordered takeout and when I arrived I decided to have a michelada. The woman who was going to charge me had to move at the moment she was charging me, but she had already given me a total and a waiter came to charge me and issued the charge... but when she served me the michelada and said that I can't, she had charged me. at the beginning when he had already included it to me because he charged me 9 dollars more than what the woman had told me at the beginning... I didn't tell her anything, I paid it again... I hope those 9 dollars are useful to you, but maybe it takes up more time than me... but those things bother me... thank you

Another restaurant with high ceilings and open space making for a very loud evening. It was difficult to hear each other across the table. It was nicely lit though so you can see the menu and your food.

Our server was just lovely. She was fun and bubbly without the air of wanting/needing attention. She was prompt and the orders were accurate.

I started with a rainbow margarita to have with the chips and salsa. Got a medium. Was huge. Tasted good. My entree tasted great. I will say there were far too many onions on the Carne a la Tampiquena for MY taste - but I just pushed some off to the side. The steak was cooked perfectly and the enchilada was yummy. Unfortunately the chocolate cake that I took home for dessert was not the best. The icing was amazing, but the actual cake was really dry. Disappointing.

At the bar, Ordered 3 steak tacos with rice and beans. The rice was under(over?) cooked, crunchy and just not right. I told waitress, because the Bartender had stepped out. Waitress brought new rice, it was cooked but ICE COLD. How is that even possible. I told Bartender when she came back, and she asked if she could get another, but I said they had 2 trys already.

The steal in the tacos was way overcooked and very salty with no flavor. I like char, but this was awful.

The Bartender told me that they don't get complaints, but I find that hard to believe with the low quality of the food.

Bartender was nice but left, and nobody covered bar properly.

Will not be dining here again. I ordered the pork and pineapple taco platter and not only received the wrong order (steak tacos) but bit into a 'flavor bomb' similar to a corn puff that had been mixed into the food. The flavor of whatever this is (an ingredient? bi-part?) is rancid and ruins your palette. It took all I had to finish my meal after trying to wash the acrid, smoky flavor out of my mouth. This is the second time this has happened at this location—the flavor is so bad, it's memorable and not in a good way. I wish I knew what this mystery 'breadcrumb' was and how it's dropped into dishes it doesn't belong in!

When my boyfriend went in to pick up my order, they told him that what I ordered online is not available on Saturday or Sunday. Understandable.... BUT why would you allow your customer to drive 25 minutes (they had ALL my contact information) to tell them this. There was no wait to be seated. I've noticed several other disappointing reviews of theirs about customer service. Happy Mothers Day to me. I obviously had to go somewhere else. This place is going down hill. The food and service quality is starting to get bad. Not impressed anymore. Server was horrible. Took forever to get out drinks, take our food order, get us refills on chips and salsa. When our food finally came, we asked for ketchup for our son, the server finally brought it out when everyone was done with their food. At that point in time we were tired of the poor service we just asked for a box for our son and the bill. Then he took forever to get the bill to us. The place was empty so being overloaded with customers was not an excuse. Just a horrible server. Not only that, the host spent all of his time messing around on his phone and not paying attention to people coming in and out. To add to that the host even turned the lights down so low you couldn't see in there anymore.

Casa Tequila is my go to local Mexican restaurant. The free chips and salsa are outstanding. My favorite dishes are the Chimichangas and the Chipotle Chicken, but everything I've had here is great.

We ordered the taco bar from the catering menu- The customer service was extremely good right from the start. They even made things easier the day prior and called to ask if I wanted the order delivered. This was so helpful! The Barbacoa was a huge hit, as well as the fresh home made chips and slsa. We loved this place in the past and even stayed with them through staffing issues and long wait times for take out through Covid, but the last few times we've tried to order, we've been told they can't take our order because they've closed their kitchen early. The first time we called about two hours before closing, they didn't answer their phone for a while and when they finally did, they said they were done taking orders for the night. We didn't think much of it and left it alone, assuming they were just busy. The second time we called about an hour and a half before closing and they told us they sent the kitchen staff home early and closed the kitchen. We called the Brookfield location and ordered from them instead. They were happy to have our order and even though I wasn't happy to drive so much further, the food was delicious so we were happy. Tonight, we called the Pewaukee location over 30 minutes before closing and they told me they were busy earlier so they sent their kitchen staff home early and were not taking any additional orders. I confirmed with the man that answered the phone that they were still open for over a half hour but he said the kitchen was closed early.

I've worked in the service industry and have served and bartended at several restaurants. I understand that sometimes kitchens close before the bar area, etc but that isn't the (advertised) case with this restaurant. If they want to close early on a regular basis, they should update their kitchen hours to reflect their desire to send the kitchen staff home early on a regular basis.

We were once again disappointed with this location and won't be dining with them again. I suggest they either update their hours to reflect their business practices or they stay open during their advertised hours.

There were plenty of employees, but the service was extremely slow. When they did come to our table, they were distracted by speaking to each other across the dining room. We were quite surprised they got our order right. The food was decent, I had mole sauce, the taste was good, but there was hardly any sauce, so the enchilada was quite dry. They (we were actually being served by two gentlemen who didn't know what the other was doing/had done) never came to see if everything was all right. When we finally received the bill, it took them at least 20 minutes to take it, they were continually distracted with each other. This wasn't a case of lack of employees, because in that case, we could understand the slow and distracted service, the service was mearly indifferent. Maybe it was an off day, but we probably won't return to find out.

My wife and I have visited this restaurant many times. Excellent at first but the last few times have been terrible. The last experience was the breaking point. They weren't busy. Seated and waited 10 minutes before our server showed up. Meanwhile other customers were seated and recieved their drinks and orders were taken. Our server took our drink order and never came back with my wife's Margherita. Another 10 minutes passed and we got up to leave, our server came over and apologized but by then it was too late.

We visited two times in the week that we were staying in the the area. Both times, the service was extremely slow. There seemed to be plenty of staff for the amount of customers. But it took a long time for them to get our drink order after the chips and salsa was brought, and then it took forever for them to come back to get the food order. The food came out relatively fast compared to everything else. And the food was very good. We had to get their attention to receive drink refills. We had only gone back the 2nd time because we had dined there before several times and never had any problems. We thought maybe it was an off night, but it seems like an off week.

Hadn’t been here in 10 years. It was an incredible place a decade ago. Just revisited - not good. Friendly waitstaff, but food was cold and lacking flavor. Too bad. Honestly, I’m surprised it survived COVID.
