The food is absolutely delicious. Their homemade fries are the best. Crispy with a dash of seasoned salt on them. I'll probably dream about them tonight. The smash burger was also quite tasty but dang those fries. My husband has their special tonight of the crab and linguine and he said that it had great flavor to it.

Service and Cash & Olives is amazing as well. Super friendly staff who always approached with a smile and top notch friendliness. They make me; an introvert; comfortable in a peoply environment.

Update from visit Sept 2025: this was our 3rd visit over the past year or two, we eat out about once a month and go to various Cambridge/Deerfield restaurants for fish. We were excited to try Cash & Olive's again after reading their perch special from the Facebook site. The person that took our order was unaware of this, but checked and they were out of perch, OK. Attempted to order the cod on the normal menu, also sold out. With no other fish options at 630pm, we left. The staff seems nice every visit, this is the most expensive restaurant to eat at in Cambridge with the plow closed now. Im not sure we'll be back, the past 2 times the food has been ok, usually the main part of the dish has been great but the sides like fries/chips have been meh. The staff are always amazing.

Tried Cash & Olive's for the first time, the service was excellent. Our server was friendly and constantly was visible and checked in. There were multiple waitstaff for the dining room.

The chicken sandwich and fish fry was delicious, we opted for fries and were a bit disappointed with those, shoestring fries needed a bit of seasoning and got cold quick because they are so thin. The fried cod was on par for our top 3 fish fries in Cambridge.

We got appetizers because of a coupon, they were good but without a coupon seems really over priced.

If you want great sevice and fresh food this seems like a great choice, as long as you don't mind paying a few bucks extra for the experience.

Tried this place for the first time for a Friday fish fry. It was fantastic, we got the cheese curds which were unique and delicious, they came out quick, were shaped like a cube and not the typically cheese pull, but were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The fish was great, thin and crispy batter with soft flaky fish. Good portions. Wife got sweet potato fries which were crispy and fluffy done perfectly. I got American potatoes loaded up. Could use some seasoning on the potatoes but they were homemade and good. I wouldn’t get them with out loading them up with onions peppers cheese and bacon. To be honest I didn’t get any bacon and could’ve used more cheese. Rye bread was super soft. Salad bar was typical Wisconsin style pretty small but enough to get the dinner started. Coleslaw is vinegar based which is not my preference but still good. They seem to have really great specials all week long. A little more of a fun take on a Wisconsin diner. Right on the golf course with a nice outdoor patio. Service is upbeat/friendly and quick.It was pretty loud in the bar area but dining area was fine. We will definitely be back!

The food was very good. Our waitress gave us great service and kept checking back to see if we needed anything else. The restaurant itself was clean, with plenty of tables. There is a patio area with outdoor seating on picnic tables available on a first come basis.
They have a decent selection of tap beer as well as a good selection of bottled/canned too. They also have a specialty drink menu.
Plenty of variety on the menu, so everyone should be able to find something to satisfy their hunger.

After getting a speeding ticket coming through town …. OK OK it was only a warning, I felt like I needed a beer. Maybe not the smartest choice but it was the best choice for me at the time! I’ve known of Cash & Olive’s pub for sometime now but never had a chance to stop in until today. I’m soo glad I did, everything and everyone was perfect. It was early afternoon and I didn’t want to spoil my dinner, so I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, chips, and a tall Coors Light. I sat at the bar to enjoy my meal and as a bonus I got conversation from all of the staff as well as some of the other customers! if you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping in for an ice cold beer and ordering off of what looked like a wonderful menu. While you’re there be sure to tell everybody that girl from North Carolina says hey y’all!

Great place and vibes all around! Showed up and it was busy/packed w people and familles playing bingo so we opted to sit outside on the nice, dog friendly patio. We could hear the numbers being called so we actually ended up playing a few rounds of bingo while we waited for our food. Patio overlooks the golf course which is pretty nice. Food came in a timely manner considering they were slammed in the kitchen. Got the hand breaded chx strips, bang bang shrimp and the smash burger. All very good! I just wish I hadn’t had to share the burger w the fam! So good. All in all… very nice on the inside and out. Food was good. Staff was friendly. 👍

Friendly service. Cute location next to the golf course in Cambridge. Food was truly terrible - fried cheese curds were cubes(!) of oily mush (we each tried one and left the rest); fries (at my table we had regular and sweet potato) were undercooked, limp, and flavorless; veggie burger was mushy; pulled pork not good; smash burger was okay; chips were okay. Also, this was an expensive meal - over $20 per person for 3 people with tax and tip (and only one of us even got a soda - the other two had water). Very disappointing and hope they can improve. :(

We had to send a few things back because they were prepared incorrectly.... even with the server writing it down, it's like the kitchen didn't read the ticket. The food was nothing special.... no wow factor. Elote nachos were not good. Chicken wings were basic. Nobody in our group has any desire to go back for another meal here.

Went for Drag Bingo and had a fabulous time. The food was delicious. The goat cheese balls will be the best balls you've ever had in your mouth. The scotch egg was cooked to perfection with a nice soft yolk, and the mustard to go with it had a sweetness that paired perfectly with the savory of the sausage. Very well-seasoned fries.

I stopped in for a quick sandwich before doing a barrel pick at Dancing Goat and boy was that a good decision. I got the Chicken Bahn-Mi which was fantastic, the acidity of the pickled veggies paired with the marinade on the chicken and the spicy/tangy combo of the sauce made it a wonderfully complex sandwich. We went with our niece and nephew for the Friday fish fry. Which was one of the best we have had in a long while. Fresh, crispy, flavorful fish, a tasty take on a loaded potato, also really enjoyed the salad bar. We also had wings which we’ll be back for to try more of the other flavors. The cheese curds were amazing! Yum!. My daughter had a sandwich with homemade fries that were refreshing and tasty as well. I can’t wait to try more food items. I will also be making it a point to show up for some of their events they host as well! You can tell everyone just enjoys what they do here to keep everything running as smooth as possible. Bartender was not friendly at all. Kept touching his face and then grabbing the glasses by the top where someone would drink from. My boyfriend and I stopped in for some food and drinks this afternoon. As soon as we walked in, it smelled like BO.
(Not the first time this has happened) the bartender smelled awful.
I ordered a burger and fries he ordered a chicken sandwich and chips. Food took awhile and the place was not busy. My fries were over cooked, tasted burnt. Put some ketchup on them and that was spoiled. My boyfriend’s chicken sandwich tasted horrible. It was very disappointing. We will not be returning.

Wow what a gem!! While driving through, on the way to Madison, we happened upon Cash & Olive's. The pictures looked like classic Friday fish fry, so we knew we needed to stop.

Little did I know we had found such a charming place, with such lovely hosts. The food was fantastic, comfort food but elevated - I never expected to get scallops in mushroom risotto!

The staff was so proud of their restaurant, they made it feel like home. I can't wait to come back and see what they're cookin up.

I brought a group there for my birthday and I was able to finally try malort as they have free malort shots on your birthday. The servers and the owner at the bar were all very friendly and welcoming. I had a delicious shrimp po boy and we had the goat balls for the table to share and both were delicious. There were a few hiccups with the orders of two of the people in my party but those were cleared up as quickly as possible. I’ll definitely go back!

It was pretty bad. Went on a Saturday afternoon with my husband and 2 year old. Took a few minutes before we were even greeted. There were only 5 people sitting at the bar and not a single table filled, so they weren’t busy. In hindsight, we should’ve just left. After searching for a booster seat ourselves, we sat down. We ordered the goat balls and crab rangoon for appetizers. The goat balls were cold in the middle and they had a watery sauce dumped on them, which made no sense. The crab rangoon was okay. But an insanely small portion for the price. You basically get 2 rangoons cut in half. We did eat all our appetizers, since we were hungry. For entrees we orders the Cuban and Ruben sandwiches; 1 with kettle chips and 1 with fries at a $2 up charge. They were BAD. The meat in both was soggy and stringy; essentially inedible. The fries were nothing special for $2 extra and they absolutely needed ketchup. However, the ketchup at our table was sticky to touch and crusty on the top, so we didn’t trust it. The Cuban’s meat was much the same and had so much mustard it was disgusting. Our server was young and sweet enough, but never checked in on us and had to flag her down for the check. All of the food we ordered was suggested to us by our server. We paid way too much. Food bad, service meh. We won’t be back.

Cash and Olive's pub, named after the owners dogs. A fitting name since the food here tastes like dog food. Stopped in for dinner tonight to try the place out, started out with the cheese curds and they were definitely unique. A small portion of cheese cubes, they were good but a bit salty. I opted for the Roast Beef sandwich, was supposed to be slow roasted, tasted dry, mushy and like it came from a package and was microwaved. Husband ordered the smash burger, it was a tasteless meat patty that was chewy and had the weirdest taste and texture. The meals are served with kettle chips but they must be confused because they served us classic potato chips from a bag. The menu is strange as well, a mish mash of strange dishes. There is nothing special about the food here. It is overpriced and tastes terrible. It's sad because the bar is very chic on the inside and the service was great. Won't return
