Came in for lunch during work. We were helped right away, there wasn’t a long wait for food, and it was delicious. The building is beautiful too.
Definitely going to have to come back again!

Very disappointed with the TACOS. Using a phone app for a menu you don’t see that if you put meat in your taco it’s an extra fee of $4-6. You would need to scroll down to actually see that on a phone. It says the shells are free👏🤣 but they actually charge extra for a shell. $1 for lettuce wrap. Our lettuce was old and brown. Instead of the tacos costing 13.50 for 3 it was actually over $20. I’ve never ordered a taco that didn’t include meat! Just be aware that the 13.50 price includes only a small amount of corn, salsa and a sauce. The shell and meat are extra!!

This is a cool old church that has been converted into a one of a kind restaurant! I spent a lot of time just looking at the architecture. The food was excellent! My wife and I shared the Spinach Artichoke Dip and loved it. We each got a different dinner entree so that we try multiple things and from our experience, you could order anything off of the menu and be very pleased with it.

Not a favorable experience for our large group that came to the bar on a whim. Also, they charge a fee to pay with a card and the gal behind the bar needs a sense of humor.

The venue itself is unique and worth a visit. Great tacos, good salad, mediocre hummus platter. Having menus available only via smart phone is annoying. Overall, a good experience and would return if I lived in the area.

This place is worth the visit to see the building - very cool atmosphere in an old church! The food was pretty good but nothing that I will want to return for. The waitress (Sam) was very friendly and efficient. I had the Holy Water drink and it was good. We had one cocktail, and two entrees (asian salmon & Mexican style street carnitas tacos) for $60 plus tip.

We drove forty minutes last night to go here on a friends recommendation. What a Great experience! The renovated church speaks for itself for a really neat atmosphere - creative and well done with preserving the past. The hostess was polite and got the night off to a nice start. Our server, Brandee, was top notch! Not only was she attentive and professional, she had a wealth of knowledge about the building's history; very interesting. After starting off with delicious curds, we had the Miso Sesami Ahi Tuna and the Mongolian Beef; both were amazing! I believe that you get what you pay for. They have a really unique vibe, neat menu, quality food, prompt service a great staff and, yes, you pay a little more. That said, it is well worth it! Highly recommend and we will return.

My fiance and I went for dinner around 6:30 Saturday night. There were two other couples waiting so we assumed there was a wait. The hostess never even acknowledged us when we walked in. She just kept looking at her tablet and walked away. She came back and just kept looking at her tablet like she didn’t know what to do. Finally, another person came and got everyone seated. There was no apology or anything.. just “follow me”. Upon arrival, our chairs were covered in crumbs which we cleared ourselves. The waitress finally came around after about 5-7 minutes and we ordered our drinks and our food. It took probably 10-15 minutes to get our drinks and the waitress didn’t even remember what we ordered. It was not busy and while looking around the entire floor was covered in food. We got our food which was alright. I ordered another drink which I didn’t get and the waitress came by about 10 minutes after and said “I’m sorry what did you want?” It was just very terrible service all around. When we were done the waitress put down our bill and very short and rudely said “ok thanks”. I’m sorry but $20 for one burger and fries is extremely overpriced especially for getting service like that. 10-10 would not recommend.

Service was good for them being busy. We were there for quite a while but they had a bunch of people come in all at once.
The building was pretty cool and worth the visit.
Drinks were good. Kinda small for the price. (Higher than a high end restaurant with a normal serving size)
3 Entrees, 3 appetizers, 4 drinks (pretty much 2 if you consider the size of the glasses), 3 deserts, $200 plus tip
Food wasn't really worth writing about. Looked nice, but kinda blah in flavor. Wouldn't get any of the dishes we tried again.
The locally made cheese cake was not good either. Texture was like it was thickened with something that shouldn't be in cheesecake. No one at the table liked it. The other two desserts were fine.
The truffle cheese curds were surprisingly good.

Really interesting place to check out. A bit overpriced.
The food was the highlight. I would skip the cocktails and just have wine or beer if we decided to visit again. My Bloody mary was very watered-down tasting, and the berry mule was OK, but the glass was the best part, served in a bear shaped glass.
The staff was very nice and attentive.
The building itself was really interesting, and we enjoy seeing old churches/ buildings being reused for modern times.

Our family has been to the Cellar District numerous times, small group, large group, and private room. Our food and experience has always been wonderful.
Although, we just left, our family of 3 spending $100 on mediocre food, at best. Our truffle cheese curds, were severely under cooked. The chips as a side were extremely stale. My flatelbread was burnt on the edges and very soft/mushy in the middle. I was so disappointed, but also felt bad for stating the truth to our waitress (who did a good job).
Sadly, we will never go back.

My online order did not go through, so when I went to pick up my food, there was none to be had. All the food was interesting and frankly, in the Midwest, that goes a really long way. The duck bacon rangoons were really good and I was sort of flummoxed by the dipping sauces, but both were ultimately well paired. Fries are a solid choice; light and crispy outside, steamy fluffy inside. The Mongolian beef was enjoyable however the bulgogi banh mi was a bit too uniformly sweet. Some additional spicy heat or if the pickled onions skewed more sour (or ideally both) I think it would have been better balanced. But that any of this menu warrants interrogating the sweet-sour balance should be taken as a huge compliment. I'm not doing that at run of the mill bar and grills.
Ambience was really cool and I'm glad they kept those giant church hanging light fixtures. I really think the pricing is fair, and the service was excellent. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place.

Although the food was good very expensive, I ended up paying $27 for a salad because I added chicken which was an extra for 450 I think it is such a beautiful beautiful place. I hope they don’t lose business because of the prices. I always tell everybody go check out for yourself absolutely beautiful. I want to go back with my kids to show them how beautiful the place is but prices? I don’t know if I could afford it.

The good: The repurposed church is really cool and the decor is on spot. There was a good selection of craft beers and I enjoyed the burger.
The bad: I ordered a soda and a brown ale at the bar and my bill was $14 dollars (10 dollars for the beer and 4 dollars for the soda). This is fon du lac and those prices are absolutely outrageous! I was blown away by the drink prices. Save your money and drink water.

Warning: 20% gratuity auto. added to your bill.
I’ve been here a handful of times, but my past two were extra disappointing. My family and I had the same server both visits, and she’s not very chipper, to say the least. No ‘Hi, how are you doing today’, zero smiles or welcoming looks, and once she takes your order, she just walks away. This past visit, she would walk right by our table without checking in. I sat there needing a refill for a lot longer than I should have. She would often disappear for lengthy periods of time, while we sat there, close to asking another server for a refill. Three out of the five of us received their food a good 12-14 minutes after the other two, so we didn’t even enjoy our meals together. But in the meantime, other large tables were getting their food. Finally at the way end of our visit, she half-heartedly apologized and blamed it on training new kitchen staff. If that were the case, you would think they’d extend an apology beforehand; not wait for the mediocre service and pick up on our displeasure. We also noticed that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. So it doesn’t really matter how well their service is, they’ll get their 20% either way. Not too sure how soon I’ll go back, unfortunately. But the atmosphere is nice! Too bad the service is majorly lacking.

Food was good! Building definitely made it a fun experience!! Although portions were small (for me). My wife ordered a BLTA (bacon lettuce tomato and avocado) it was ordered with a “lettuce bun” instead of bread. It came out with 2 pieces of romaine lettuce sandwiched with bacon tomato and avocado. Afterwards our bill included a 1.00$ charge for “open food” and the waitress claimed it was for the lettuce substitute for the bun. I was confused how we would be charged extra for a sandwich that had lettuce in it when it was included in the name of the sandwich. (Not like there was any extra besides the 2 full pieces). After asking for the bun to go (since we were paying for it anyway), the waitress offered to take OFF the extra charge for lettuce on our B-L-T …. I wonder if we would have asked for it without a bun if we would have gotten an extra charge on the bill… not a huge deal but just watch out for the food-flation at restaurants. The prices of food were not reasonable also.

Cool looking restaurant. Staff was very friendly. We had reservations for 4 but last minute had 5. They were very accommodating. The food was hit or miss. The Arancini balls, Chicken Alfredo Flatbread, and Salmon were delicious. The Ahi Tuna entree and Bahn Mi were okay. The tuna was not seared hard enough and flavor was weak. The Caesar Salad was not right. Very confusing. It was a combination of a Gorgonzola and Apple salad with Romaine lettuce and Caesar dressing. Give me one or the other.

Nice restaurant in an old Lutheran Church. I got the Light Eater Smash, which is a single patty, bacon cheeseburger. Honestly, it was the best burger I have had in a long time. Just a simple, perfectly cooked beef patty, smokey thick cut bacon, American cheese, red onion, tomato, and lettuce on a brioche bun. It's simple but really flavorful. Comes with choice of potatoes. I would have paid twice the price. The servers help each other out, so it is fast and attentive.

I called to order food so I could pick it up. The Gentleman said can u wait? I said yes no problem. I was then left on phone (not hold) because I could here the staff talking for the whole 18mins I was left on cell so I decided to drop in show the staff member I'm still on phone and I can here us on cell from me siting at bar explaining then I was told it could have been a different staff member who forgot but the whole point is how are u taking other calls if I'm still on cell hearing everything like go check ur phone and end call but I had to end it but staff member Apologized even tho it might not have been there fault but since I always tip the staff everytime I pickup the food I feel the least I could have been offered was my dessert free and I'd pay for my meal. But instead I payed for everything got a small piece of cheese cake for 11 dollors my order cost 29 and I payed 35 for food so I gave a 6 dollor tip for handing me food even after waiting 18mins on phone and 10 mins inside at bar so total of 28mins to get meal and cheese cake. Just disappointed that I wasn't offered anything I will say there food is always good just feel I could have been treated better

Walked in at Peak lunch time, and there was nobody to greet us. im not talking about a door guy, but there was a lack of anyone at all. theres a booth there with menus and such but nobody there. So we waited there for about a minute or 2. The place looked great, maybe the lighting was a little harsh but that doesnt matter if the food is good. After waiting for absolutly anyone to come by to seat us, we just walked in the middle of the resturant and looked for any servicemember. Eventually we found what could have been a buss boy, no uniform just a black ear peice, and a plain green t shirt talking to patrons. i asked him if we seat ourselves and he brought us to a booth. We were seated and then the bar tender came over and brought us water. We saw the menu and the prices and its gotta make you think. How the heck are there only 2 employees in the FOH when they ask $18-$27 for an entree. The menu is confusing, theres no theme. Do you want PIZZA? No? What about Korean Fusion?!?! NO? what about tacos?!?!? Maybe a burger?.. If you dig multiple wells you wont get far. This isnt the cheesecake factory with 57 pages of menu, but weird and odd items for outrageous prices. The only decently priced item was a burger but honestly for value youre better off going to Curlvers. We walked out.
!!!!If they want to charge us more than $50 for a lunch and they wont even bother greeting us or seating us its not worth your, or my money.!!!!
With this place you dont pay for the food, OR the service, you just pay for the Venu. Its sad to see such an amazing building has been setup for this.
Looks pretty but that may be it.

Cellar District is a gorgeous restaurant! I enjoyed the atmosphere and looking around at all of the architecture. I had a hard time picking out what to eat because there are so many awesome choices. We decided on Potstickers for an appetizer, Pineapple BBQ Chicken Flatbread, and my husband had the Sconnie Burger wth truffle fries. It was a ton of food, and all very good quality. It looked like they had a nice seating area outside as well.

Beautiful atmosphere being in old church. Food was presented well and tasted good but should have been better for the price. Wife ordered same dish , sea bass, from a year ago and was not as good. Mongolian beef was chopped sirloin and slightly tough surprisingly for how small the beef chunks were. Appetizer was full of flavor but the main dishes a little bland.
Nice beer selections. Love the support for local brewery

What a fantastic dining experience! The atmosphere is stunning and makes great use of a unique space. The server was attentive, the food arrived quickly and hot and tasted superb. The smoked old fashioned was a great accompaniment to the meal. This is definitely a drive to destination for me now.

Went here for lunch on a weekday with some friends. We all enjoyed our meals. They have gluten free buns which is a big plus for me! This place is very cool on the inside. It's really neat! 4 stars is for pricing. I feel like $25 (including tip) for a sandwich, side, and a soda is a bit much for lunch pricing, otherwise we had an exceptional experience!

Simply cannot miss. My girlfriend and I have been going through the lunch and dinner menu trying to find something that isn’t amazing……… over 20 items later, we have completely failed. And don’t even get me started on the drinks, top tier. Not only will they make whatever you want whether they know it or not, they do it extremely well. Great people, great service, great food, great drinks. What more could you ask for?

Attended an Easter brunch at The Cellar District. Concerns were brought forth regarding the inappropriate bill and unknowingly serving myself, my husband, and teenage daughter orange juice with alcohol. More details immediately were discussed with our server and Management on site that day, with an assurance we would receive follow up (and some type of solution to make the situation right) by early in the week. After messaging the business and still not receiving contact late in the week as promised (ample time and opportunity to allow the business to mitigate serious concerns and a very poor customer experience), honest reviews were provided on social media.
I later received a social media response from management about how wonderful they are and their disappointment regarding the negative review (still no solution to the initial concerns brought forth), followed by immediately blocking myself and anyone that reposted the honest review. They so easily could have addressed the concerns professionally immediately or early in the week as promised. Successful businesses and those I choose to support will take feedback as a learning experience, acknowledge when they make a mistake, and mitigate to improve the customer experience. I will always consider returning when this happens. Instead their response (or lack of) speaks volumes and likely lost them hundreds of customers.
If they treat customers this way, I cannot imagine how they treat employees and subsequently how the work environment is affected (a big piece of our initial complaint). Consider the type of environment you want to support with your time and well earned money, and if you decide to provide this to The Cellar District, I hope that you are only 100% satisfied with your experience. If you’re not satisfied or bring forth any concerns, be prepared for their feelings to be hurt instead of taking the opportunity to make the situation right for their customer.
Such a surprising and disappointing experience for our family that loves to travel and enjoy our food experiences. I will gladly support more businesses that prioritize their customers, The Cellar District just isn’t one of them.

Looks like my original review was somehow taken down from like 2 years ago. I warned y'all then that this place is way way over priced for the quality and quantity of food you get. Also, the atmosphere was a bunch of stuck up, better than everyone else in the room, moms with drinking problems.

This place is a staple for not only our family outings but also nights out with friends and also business lunches. The food is great, and we love that the menu changes to reflect the season. We love the outdoor space! We have not had a server or bartender that was anything less than kind, fun and accommodating.
They plan activities for kids around certain holidays, my children love them! Also, my daughter loves their "fruit salad" which is not always on the menu but the staff always tries to accommodate.
Nights out with friends are always a hit here. I love that they have an N/A menu for those who don't/ can't/ or postpone their drinking for 9 months or so. We have so many great memories at The Cellar District and hope to have many more.

Tried out Cellar District for the first time last night for my mom's birthday and by the appetizer, we were already talking about the people we wanted to bring next time. Our waitress was so kind, upbeat, and knowledgeable, someone who made the experience even better with her positivity. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We had such a difficult time deciding what to get because it all looked so good...I definitely recommend the pineapple for a starter! I was drawn to try this place out because of the uniqueness of being an old church, but will be making several more hour long trips to Fond du Lac for everything about Cellar District.

"Beet Street Salad" is The Best salad I've had since moving to Fond Du Lac! Everything was so fresh. The Spinach, roasted beets, pistachios, sunflower seeds, la clare farms, goat cheese & honey balsamic dressing. Amazing 😋*my brother's truffle fries hiding in back.

Terrible fish and chips. Cool idea for a restaurant in terms of atmosphere, but the food seriously needs work. It came on a metal half sheet pan, which came off as lazy instead of being whatever concept they were after. The fish was clearly from frozen and was more like Long John Silver's than something that cost $20/person. It was mushy as opposed to flaky and had way too much oil on the breading. With so many great fish fry places on/around lake Winnebago, you'd think they would realize the competition is fierce for this item and step up their game. Will not be back. The server was nice at least.

Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere. For as beautiful and "upscale" as it looks, it's incredibly inviting and a great place for any occasion, from business meetings to casual lunch with a friend. We are actually having them cater our wedding. The entrées are phenomenal. The smash burgers left a but to be desired in my opinion, but still worth the drive.
