Was really happy with the food. Let me start with that.
When we got there we came from the mall. I don't do well with alot of people. So I wasent feeling the best going there. So we sat ordered. Felt kinda rushed. Then dinner came. Kids loved cooking there own food. I ate literally five bites of food the whole time. Payed the bill trying to finish my food. I don't like people touching my food by the way. After paying still trying to maybe eat they came and took my food to like get us out. Paid over $100 to be rushed out and didn't even eat. Not happy. When I talked to I think was a manger we will talk to the server for ya. Really! Like I didn't even eat and still got charged. Well I guess I just paid to watch people put on a show of how to cook at the table. Really disappointed. Food was good though. Leason learned now.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place! Environment was incredibly clean, staff was very attentive to diners and friendly too. Food was very good and there was a lot of variety. Also a lot of gluten free options (including sauces at the bar) for my husband which was very nice to see. 10/10 experience and will be coming back to dine with them again.

Went there for lunch with my sister. Our waitress wasn't informative at all. And I told them I'm allergic to selfish, like the menu says to, and she put mine together with my sisters shrimp. Like I don't wanna die js. Maybe it was just a bad experience but the Japanese miso is flavorless and the lamb taste like feet. I won't be returning.

I can’t say how the food is or the atmosphere. We weren’t sure if our teenage kids were joining us so we asked for a table for 4. Told we couldn’t be seated until they arrived. Ok, fine….table for two for now. As we sat down we were told if they did arrive they can’t sit with us. WHAT? The restaurant wasn’t busy so what’s the problem? No exceptions. No worries. We went elsewhere.

This place is AMAZING! We are avid Korean food foodies, and we did the all you can eat hot pot and Korean bbq. It was beyond worth it. The service was fast, the hot pot was a cool experience, the meat was delicious, and even the tables were really neat/unique and made everything super easy. Delicious and fun! Great drinks, food was yummy and such a variety. Would like a little more intel on the "how to" of a korean BBQ as this was my first time. Best restaurant experience I have had in a long time. Felt like a guest in someone's home. The best server in the world Panhia walked us through the whole experience and both anticipated our needs and made the whole experience so enjoyable. We recently moved to WI and have had a hard time finding Korean food, the closest H-mart is hours away. When we saw Chako opening we were excited!

For those who have done Korean before this is a little different, there isn't the wide selection of bonchon nor perilla leaves (we are going to bring our own next time), but I am not sure most people would really understand what it would all be for anyway, so I get not wanting to be wasting all of them every order.

They had both the Nappa cabbage kimchi and Oi kimchi (cucumber), which I was delightfully surprised. The oi kimchi was a little watery as I don't think it was salted long enough to draw out the water enough, but maybe I just had a batch that was rushed, I'll definitely try it again.

The star of the show here was the Beef, it was all delicious.

Chako was one of the best places I’ve ever gotten to eat at. It’s in my top three favorite restaurants so far and it’s only been open a little over a month. Fantastic experience at Chako's with our friends today! It's very clean, friendly staff and great food. We chose the Korean BBQ option (beef, chicken, pork, seafood, veggies) and it included lots of sauces, pickled items, fruit, and fried appetizers. From what we understood, everyone at the table had to pick either the broth option or Korean BBQ, but could have done both at a higher price. I would say this is a fun lunch or dinner experience and a bit on the louder side if you are sensitive to noise. We had a question and management resolved it in a super professional manner! Overall A+ experience with a fair price and we will definitely be back!

Phenomenal experience, cocktails are dangerously good. For example the Scorpion has a very nice citrus base for summer heat, the Sakura blossom I believe could barely tell was alcoholic, fiance loved the tea options they have available along with boba choices are fantastic!! Favorite food options would be the beef and lamb both in the hot pot soup and grill had varying flavor profiles depending on bases you chose! Servers were very attentive, yet also proved to be knowledgeable on time-frames of check-ins between bites. 20/10 experience will definitely dine in again!!!

This is an amazing Korean BBQ restaurant!!! I'm so happy that Eau Claire has one now and it's legitimately better than the ones I've been to in the Twin Cities and Milwaukee! The food and service were top notch and even personalized! We came for lunch and quickly realized that the short ribs we had been looking forward to were a dinner exclusive item. The owner (?) noticed we were wistfully asking about it and generously offered us a "this time only" a la carte order of short ribs! And then, at the side dish buffet table, I asked a staff person about kimchi (which wasn't out at the time) and she instantly offered to get me some from the kitchen and brought it right to my table! Also the menu has a symbol for the gluten free options, which is great. Everything was delicious, the grills were changed whenever necessary, and the whole atmosphere was sparkling! I can't wait to go back - the next day I was already craving k-bbq again!!

We are visiting from out of town and enjoy trying new Korean restaurants when we travel. This place did not disappoint! We opted to grill and particularly enjoyed the short ribs, bulgogi beef, and pork cheek (I recommend pairing it with the bean paste sauce). We also really enjoyed the cheese corn and many other sides. We've done the hot pot option at a comparable restaurant, and I'm sure it would have been delicious as well. Our server was delightful (I think her name was Irene) and the rest of the staff and service were great. We plan to come back the next time we find ourselves in Eau Claire! I went with my family the other day and we got the Korean BBQ and hotpot which is only an extra charge of 3$ for both! The meat quality is amazing especially for the price. Throughout the entirety of the two hours I was there, the service was always speedy, attentive, and efficient! Went with family to check out this new all-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean BBQ spot next to the mall, and it did not disappoint. 💸 Prices are high, so you’ll want to come hungry to feel like it’s worth it. $23/lunch & $33/dinner.
🍲 Hotpot portions are tiny — you’ll need to reorder several times to get full.
📋 All guests must order both hotpot and BBQ for both lunch and dinner — even though the menu only states this rule for lunch. This felt like a bait-and-switch and is an additional expense for anyone who only wants one or the other.
🍽️ In order to limit food waste you’re table is only allowed 4 items per round (we were a group of 3), and we each wanted different things — this made the experience feel frustrating and restrictive for an all-you-can-eat setup.
⏳ Service was slow. While it seemed organized, we weren’t offered drink refills and only received two rounds of food in over two hours.
🙅‍♂️ Nothing except sauces is self-serve, which creates unnecessary delays and limits the buffet-style appeal.

If you’re only in the mood for hotpot, I’d recommend the hotpot spot on Clairemont — it’s quicker, simpler, and priced similarly (though everything besides the hotpot there is of lesser and questionable quality ).

If you’re looking for both hotpot and BBQ, this place is the better choice. Personally, I’d come back only for the BBQ if they ever allowed it à la carte.

This place is definitely worth it. I'm glad we went with both the Korean BBQ and HotPot option. Best part, it was only an additional $3 to have both! That is a steal especially with the high quality and variety of foods they had to offer. Each order came out fresh. Our server took her time to explain in detail of what to expect. If so, then congratulations. I’ve got the restaurant for you. Went here with the wife tonight. We had the hot pot and the bbq. Hot pot comes in individual pots which is nice because my wife is Chinese and loves spicy Asian food whereas I’m more on the white boy spicy level. I had the miso soup base which was nicely flavored. We both really enjoyed the bbq, especially the short ribs. Thoroughly enjoyed the smoked garlic pork belly too. Spicy beef bulgogi was pretty good (even for someone on the white boy spicy level). Wide array of drinks available. Tried the Citron Soju. Was light and refreshing. We’ll definitely be back.

This Korean BBQ and hot pot was amazing. The quality here is something I would expect to see from a much bigger city. You cook your own meat with this style of Korean BBQ very similar to Japanese yakiniku. The meat was fantastic and we really enjoyed the sides. Beautiful interior. Wonderful atmosphere. All the staff were really friendly and super attentive. The staff was patient in explaining how the BBQ and HotPot works. The owner came around to acknowledge customers. You don't see that at other restaurants. It makes us feel valued and not just another customer. I don't think I stopped grinning once from start to finish. THIS IS WORTH THE WAIT!!

First: The Atosphere.
It's beautiful inside. It is so bright and welcoming, and I felt spoiled sitting on a plush seat eating at a table that isnt made of basic wood, but what looks to be marbling.

Second: The Service
Yes, they're very busy so service did get a bit slow at times but everyone was so nice and warm in personality the wait passes by quick. I'm sure those small moments of service absence was only cause of the business.
When your BBQ grill gets too dirty from grilling, they easily replace the grill so you can keep cooking fresh!

Third, and what we all wanna hear of: The Food.
Oh god. The food. It is not the usual buffet style, as you order all meats and veggies from the servers. Everything is fresh and delicious. I most enjoyed the beef bulgogi on grill and the swai fish in the soup. I ordered the mushroom broth this time and it was delicious!

I am definitely coming back with family and friends in the near future!
