The Chalet was recommended to us by some locals. They were dead on with their recommendation. I had the blackened jalapeño burger, fries and cheese curds. All were cooked to perfection and delicious. Kelly the server was excellent. Nothing but good things to say about Hara and her staff. We will be back if not this week the next time we are in Dells. Thank you ladies for the awesome time. We visited on a Sunday night just as the off-season was starting and had wonderful food and drinks. It was a league night so we were unable to bowl, but I enjoyed my black bean burger (I forget what my partner got but he liked it) and played pool. The servers were attentive and made a great playlist. We will definitely be back!

The very cool part about this bowling alley is that it is located right next to Elm Street Plaza. You can sit outside and listen to free live music while you eat or drink. Their prices are very reasonable here. Their food and drink prices are noticeably lower than every other place nearby. We love that! Their bowling alley is exactly what you would expect with a nice bowling alley. Their bar is good. The employees are very friendly and respectful. I would recommend Chalet Lanes! I would recommend sitting in their outside area so you can listen to the music playing as well if there’s music playing at the Elm Street Plaza while you’re there.

Place has gone downhill lately. Not sure what happened. Service was terrible last night. I’m not one of these car show people, I’m a local and come here semi regularly so to be treated how I was just because I came on a Friday night makes me not want to return. Was treated rudely by a person I’ve never seen there before, I ask him how long he’s been there and he’s like “Since 5” like yeah buddy I care when your shift started. Never been called “bruh” by someone taking my order before. Step it up. Food was good as always.

We had such a lovely time at Chalet Lanes during our trip to Wisconsin Dells! We actually visited twice because we enjoyed it so much. The first time, we stopped in on a weekday for a couple of drinks and some arcade games. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed, not overly crowded, and we had a great time playing darts. The bartenders were friendly and made good drinks.

Our second visit was on a weekend night, and we decided to go bowling. The lanes have a retro, old-school vibe -- like stepping back in time, I loved it! It gave the place so much character. The music was fun, the food was good, and overall, we had a blast. The staff member who helped us at the lanes was kind, though later in the night it did take a bit of time to find someone to extend our bowling since the bar was busier. Totally understandable, though, given how lively the place was.

Overall, both visits were a lot of fun, and we will definitely be coming back the next time we’re in the Dells!

I went there with my wife and child to have a late night bowl. I was waiting in line just to get ignored after I went around the bar to ask if any would help us to get our shoes and lane. Another group of 3 people showed up and quickly got attended. Extremely upsetting after hearing great things. Never will I come near this strip again after that. The bowling lanes were nice, but the music was extremely vulgar and the service was poor. Towards the end of our game my group wanted to extend our time so we could bowl for a bit longer. However, they told us we couldn’t because they decided they were going to close early, this was at 10:30pm when they close at 12am. This was really disappointing as my party would’ve come in sooner had we known they were not going to be open for the time shown online. I don’t think we will be coming back when there are other bowling alleys that are just as nice if not better.

Was just trying to get some drinks at the bar , bartenders kept looking past me, clearly could see I wanted to a get a drink, (not to mention there was other people there and they would ask if they were good or if they need another drink but for some reason I was getting ignored, called one over asked for 2 shots , immediately closes my tab ?? Like why not ask if I want an open or closed tab ?? It was already a hassle trying to call them over. There was 4 bartenders basically just standing around, 2 of them taking shots well on the job??? We went to Chalet Lanes & Lounge in Wisconsin Dells hoping to have a fun time with the family, but unfortunately, the experience was just average. We had a discount that they refused to apply, even after we showed it. The service wasn’t very good—staff were not very friendly and didn’t seem willing to help.

During the game, some turns were skipped automatically because a few of the balls the kids threw got stuck in the gutter and didn’t come back into the play area, which disrupted the game several times.

The facilities are basic and nothing special—not particularly comfortable or inviting.

Overall, I wouldn’t really recommend it. There are better options if you’re looking to enjoy a good bowling experience with family or friends.

They are criminally understaffed. The man at the desk for bowling was also making drinks, taking food orders and serving. We had to wait 15 min to get our lane repaired and they gave us 7 back on our time. We were with a crew of 9 so we were paying for two lanes and I'm afraid we didn't get our money's worth due to all the issues.

I’ve been there with my friends about 2 weeks ago. My first time dealing with next level racism// used a passport to enter the country but it’s not a good enough ID to get a drink at this place. I would do negative ⭐️ if possible for the two ladies behind the bar, that were not only not accepting our passports but having a horrible attitude towards us and being rude. Good bowling alley! Wish there would’ve been some music or better lighting but it was pretty cheap for a game and bowling is always fun! They had plenty of bowling ball options and shoe size options. I think I would have liked this place if the bartenders were friendly. Kinda put a bad taste in my mouth how both the younger gentleman seemed to be avoiding the bar area and did not want even small chit chat whatsoever. Almost everytime I’ve ordered a burger I tell them med rare….most the time it’s over cooked. Just had my last burger from there, well the dog had it. Asked for ranch and nope not in the to go bag. Two meals with one set of eating utensils. The bun with the burger was basically like rubber…not even kidding in the least bit. Their taco boats are good. Pretty hard to mess that order up. Fun place! The quiet atmosphere and decently priced drinks and dinners make this a sanctuary. Much different than what you'd find on the Dell's main drag, this place is a local's joy from the ballistic chaos that is the Dells...' Summer Standard', if you will. Especially when you need a respite from those annoying loud obnoxious pregamed-out drunk 20 something-year-Olds stealing your girl and spilling watered-down booze on your jeans during the process.
Treat yourselves to a peaceful evening of bowling and fun! Take the kiddos here. Have a family night. They have delicious specials.

Awesome bowling alley in downtown Wisconsin Dells. They have about 11 lanes that we're excellent to bowl on. If you're a true bowler that brings your own equipment, you'll enjoy this place. The lanes were well oiled and the house pattern shot was nice. If you like bowling period.. you'll have a great time! When we went, the rates were $5/game per person. Very reasonable. They have a full bar and on the Saturday evening we were there they had Karaoke happening in the bar area. Definitely recommend Chalet Lanes!

The cook was in such a bad mood. I used to work at a bowling alley, so understand the ins and outs more than most.

With that said, everything was well-maintained, reasonably cheap (about $60 for 5 people to rent shoes and bowl 2 games), with computerized scoring.

Not a lot of space if crowded (maybe seats 3 per lane).
Walking through the bar is unusual (still friendly, but different)
Rental shoes were so new that they didn't slide (took some getting used to).
