Cold Brew!! Sea salt caramel added and heavy cream. OMG was he right!
Sat at a bistro table outside. It was a delightful afternoon!!

Welcoming & Chill vibe. Tasty food that’s worth the stop. The guy who runs it treats you like family and the food tastes like it was made just for you.
Partner had the Rueban and he said it was probably the best he’d ever had - perfect ratio of ingredients. I enjoyed the soup and cheesy mac. Had to take a pic of the light sign in the restroom. ☺️

My husband and I were looking for a place to stop on our road trip. We happened to find Cheese Louise on our search. It drew us in with the name and kept us with the food and friendly service. The owner was the one making the food and serving us. He was incredibly friendly and gave us some good suggestions. The food was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and we will definitely be coming back if we're in the area again. The restaurant is currently in a bike shop as a pop up, and we are looking forward to seeing Cheese Louise in its full glory when they're back in their own space.

Cheese Louise has awesome and unique sandwiches, mac & cheese and soups. Now in its new location, they have a bunch of new menu items, including breakfast, which they serve all day. My new favorite is the breakfast burrito, but honestly, I struggle to make a decision about what to order every time I go because everything is soooo good!!! YUM!

Really enjoyed the food here and the vibe of the cafe area. The bike shop / cafe thing is an older concept now but still holds up.

Cuban panini and bacon Gouda Mac were both excellent and a variety of beverages and sides were available but we just shared a Diet Coke

The wife and I have been here a couple of times in the past month and had some awesome sandwiches. Today (9-21-24) we had the cuban and the jalapeno popper. Both were delicious but I like the jalapeno popper just a little bit more. Whatever you do don't pass on the beer cheese soup! Totally worth the stop if you're ever in rice lake.

We didn’t know what to expect after I decided I wanted to try a Cuban sandwich. After finding Cheese Louise’s on the internet, and price certainly seemed right, we decided to searched it out. Although the atmosphere is definitely shabby sheikh the food that we had was great. The guy behind the grill, I assume the owner, recommended the brewery around the corner for a brew to match our sandwich’s. It was a fun experience.

I really enjoyed my stop here. Most of the time, there are no vegetarian options for me when I'm visiting Rice Lake or they are not particularly good. I got the spinach and artichoke sandwich and it was very good. The cost of the sandwich is very reasonable with the quality of ingredients and general flavor. The service was also great even though they seemed to be in the middle of a lunch rush. I highly recommend.

Really cool concept, fun sandwich and macaroni and cheese options. We stumbled upon this place accidentally while looking for lunch, and were pleasantly surprised at the options and flavors. Gluten free option was very good, and the number of numerous bread options was a nice touch. My favorite was the spinach and artichoke, but I am not sure that there was a bad option in the house.

A great spot for grilled cheese lovers. He has a few different sandwiches on the menu and each one I’ve had has been delicious. He does have some mac & cheese and soups to go with your sandwich. Wife and I had the Cuban and the Pestavo, and a small 3 cheese Mac and cheese. Everything was VERY good. Priced appropriately, quick service, and friendly. Will be going back. I would suggest making the sandwich $8 and add a small bag of plain chips. Also maybe work with the pub Agonic around the corner and post your menu there.

As the name implies everything involves some form of cheese and most entrees are forms of grilled cheese sandwiches. It is an open grill setup where your food is made in front of you and has canned drink options.

Food: For grilled cheese variants there was variety and each of our three sandwiches passed the "pull apart" test with flying colors. We got our daughter the three-cheese mac and while we thought it tasted perfectly fine, the flavor runs a touch sweet so picky eater parents beware.

The hubbs thought there was a touch too much mustard on his Cuban but gave it a solid thumbs up overall. I sampled his and thought perhaps a stone ground spicy dijon would pair better but, I agree, the sandwich is a go for me too, I'd happily get it again.

My sandwich was the Apple of my Eye which consisted of grilled apple slices, cheese, and cranberry bread. Texture wise this sandwich was spot on. Very enjoyable. I would have liked a stronger cheese pairing but for most people this will be a tasty meatless entree choice to go with a cup of soup.

We got a third sandwich, the Spinach Artichoke grilled sandwich. If you eat spinach artichoke dips you will absolutely have to get this. It made our other sandwiches pale in comparison, it was simply that great. The spinach artichoke dip is GRILLED in front of you and then cheese is added to the bread. This has to be on the docket when you stop in, period.

Negatives:
There weren't exactly unique side dish options and the interior definitely gives "stop in for take out" vibes.

There is very little indoor seating and the dining area could benefit from booths on the perimeter and one 4 seater table as opposed to two smaller tables, a counter with stools and a four seater.

For a three month-ish old sandwich shop this place is great. There is clear potential here for flavors you just can't get anywhere else. Im looking forward to more sandwich pairings with fruits and a variety of other cheeses. We are definitely going back.

Overpriced $7 for just a standard size sandwich, no chips or side. Not a very large menu selection and the Mac & Cheese was sold out. Waited about 15 minutes for two grilled cheese I could have made at home for $2 Hopefully with time they can make a few adjustments to make this a unique experience. Just my .02 but expand the menu or allow for custom sandwiches and add a bag of chips or fries. Best of luck.

The grand opening was today and what I'd love to say is we had an extremely wonderful dinner there. We Apple Cheddar grilled cheese and the Jalapeno Popper grilled cheese both were fabulous!
