Best Chinese food in Waupaca and anywhere 100 miles near it to my knowledge. Been going with family for years and they’ve just recently made the food even higher quality at the time of this review. Very disappointed with their egg foo young as it was not even close to traditional. It consisted of two solid egg patties with stir fry dumped on top. Ordered the combo and got two pieces of small chicken and one shrimp. I actually thought I was given the wrong order when I got home and opened the container. Wife's orange chicken was nothing special.

Convenient location. Great water feature outside. Inside it was dingy and dirty. We sat at a booth by the window and there was crusty food on the walls. The wallpaper was peeling off. The windowsills were dirty. Food prices reasonable. Service OK. The food was underwhelming, under seasoned. I expected better food from here because I have heard such good things. We probably won’t be going back.

Okay y’all… here we go!
I’m a well traveled person. I’ve been ALL OVER the states. I’ve got my go to Chinese spots in Atlanta, L.A., Houston, Albuquerque, Toledo, New York, well… all over. Now I’ve got one in, of all places, Waupaca Wisconsin! What!!!! I’ve got to drive an hour and a half to get here and was just passing through, but now I’ve got a reason to visit and will just because of this one meal at Chef Cho’s!
Great food, great service, and convenient location… if you live in Waupaca!!

03/26/25 - Fried wontons were very small. Crab Rangoons were ok, but not great. The General Tso was really good. They lost a star for not stating they have a 3% credit card surcharge on the first bill they brought to the table. Only shown after they run your card. Bad business practice.

I found this gem of a place when my 85 yr old father was staying with me. Chinese food is his favorite. I am so happy we went. The food was hot, service was fast and friendly. The rangoons are the best I have ever had. When we were in there I over heard a guy say he has had rangoons all around the world with his travels and complimented them on the rangoons. I also liked the fact that I could create my own dish by ordering the items I wanted in my dish. Delicious!!!!

I was there with my wife. We ordered to drink a Miller draft and a glas of Moscato wine, both chicken egg rolls and both Beef with snow pea, better known as pea pod beef.

Handicapped entrance exam had a really nice ramp to the door. Someone came and helped us in the door and were very helpful getting the 2 of in and seated. Service was awesome, food was great. Driving by the outside of the building was so cute we had to stop and give e it a try.

Have been a semi regular customer for years. Used to be easily 5 stars. Recently things have changed. Chicken Lomein with literally one pea and no other veg but onions, sesame chicken that was hard like a rock , shrimp fried rice over cooked blown out and greasy, I am hoping this was just a bad day for the chef, with rising costs, 80$ to feed 3, I can't imagine doing it again.
