This place is such a good place to enjoy delicious food. I took my family to eat breakfast and: freezer burnt hash browns, stale biscuts and we were told sorry and given $$ off the final bill.
It's not about the $$, such a disappointing experience.
The restrooms could be cleaned better also. This is a good restaurant, im not being a hater. Just be aware of what my experience was.

This restaurant has delicious meals with every bite. Time for waiting on the meals upon order isn't very long. Quick to serve, with friendly wait staff caring to your needs. Exactly what I would expect from a restaurant. I encourage anyone to choose this place for some breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere is pleasant. Perfect for young children. The service was absolutely amazing, attention to my needs; knowledgeable about the food items and requests.

The cost of the menu items was a good price point of sale. I didn't have to spend a lot of money getting the dollars worth.

Various menu items include breakfast, pancakes, eggs, toast. The lunch menu items include sandwiches of sorts to choose from.

There's plenty of parking. Multiple disability parking spots available. No ramp needed to enter the building, all on ground level. Easy to enter and exit the building.

Big on portions, big on flavors, big on service! After a Google search for breakfast places, our search brought us here. Huge menu…there’s something for everyone. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and he said it was the best he’s ever had! I had the crepes breakfast combo and was allowed to upgrade (for a small charge) to the pecan crepes. The prices are the best value around! We will definitely be back!

I got a nice simple breakfast Scrabble eggs, sausage patties American fries and toast. The portion size was bigger than I expected. Really good. It was a nice quiet morning in the restaurant too so I enjoyed that as well. Lots of choices on the menu. And they also sell a Cinnamon bread that they get from a bakery that I had to get and can't wait to try. I'll be back again when I come this way.

An old school breakfast joint. No frills -- just great food at a reasonable price. Pretty busy so some wait isn't uncommon on a weekend morning. We lucked out and walked in as a table was emptying. The service was the biggest disappointment. Our server never introduced herself and repeatedly helped every other table before us. We waited 15-minutes while our server checked everyone's coffee before she finally came to our table for our order. When asked if we were ready to order, I replied that we had been ready for quite some time, and the server got snippy with me. The food was delivered in multiple stages for some reason. It was salty, bland, and arrived at the table luke warm. The scrambled eggs were soft, and while this is a legitimate style, it is a specific taste and was not requested. My companion's eggs were runny in the center, and his pancakes were milky and undercooked, almost raw in the center. On the upside, the other server (I believe her name is Emily) was amazing! I observed her, and she was patient and compassionate with an elderly man with reduced mental awareness who was confused and a little crotchety. If I try this restaurant again, it will be with the hope of having this server.

I put in my order at 840am said it would be ready at 850am. So, I made sure I was there. When the lady was at the counter I asked her at about 910am if my order went through. She snapped at me and said it's probably here, because there's alot. I said well I got an email stating it would be ready by 855am. And then I just got an email that said it didn't work. I really enjoy this place and frequent it. There's a few negatives, but nothing that prevents me from going back.
I enjoy their combo breakfast, and it's always right. They make a good pancake! I also love supporting the small local restaurant.

Cons - the water from the soda machine tastes dusty/dirty, not good. Ask for it from the sink, much better. Service is hit or miss depending on the server. Last time, she forgot our juices (combo comes with them). Then, when the bill came, my friend was charged $.75 extra for OJ. When I asked, she said there's sometimes an up charge for orange (it's 4 ounces). I told her she should always mention that to her customers ahead of time. Blank stare. Sometimes, we have fantastic service with coffee refills. Other times, we have to hunt someone down.

We like to come here because we can sit for a while and visit as it's never super busy or has a line. The back room is available for large groups, and there's one circle table that's available for 5 or 6 people... but it is drafty. Still, it's my favorite table.

Visited before heading over to paperfest. There was a mix up about the handicap parking for the event that was worked out. Service was ok, staff was kind of on edge beside of the parking mishap (which is understandable but unprofessional) . The waitress we had was very nice. Food was very good. Looked cleaned but after a closer look was not, the bowls that they keep the creamer in was very sticky and there was very soured creamer, and old fries on the floor. It's pretty pricey.

We stopped in for breakfast with three of our adult children and their significant others before heading home after attending a wedding in town the night before. We were welcomed and seated immediately and our server was on top of bringing us pots of coffee and plenty of water. She told us about the specials, explained the options on the menu, and shared a bit of the background of the restaurant and owner since we were new to the area. Between the 8 of us, we ordered a wide variety of options - between the 5-egg omelets, specialty pancakes, French toast, and skillets. All our dishes were well-prepared, delicious and abundant, and several of us took home leftovers. The cinnamon roll French toast, Philly steak omelet, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup pancakes were standouts. The service was exemplary and the chef clearly knows what it takes to keep people coming back. If we return to the area, we'll certainly be those kind of people.

The food I received was about the same temperature as the air coming out of the vents.... Cold.
Eggs would have probably been great if they were even remotely warm.
Bacon was crispy, but also at room temp at best.
I figured the pancakes have to be good at a place with pancake in the name..... Boy was I wrong. They were the hardest coldest pancakes I have ever eaten. Impossible to cut with a fork... Hard to cut with the butter knife.

The hot chocolate was phenomenal tho.
The server was also nice. Restaurant was clean.

But I definitely won't be recommending this to anyone.

I ordered this food on doordash and it’s genuinely pretty bad. I ordered a juice and it came with maybe 1/4 of the cup filled and unless the dasher drank it I don’t think they cared to fill the cup. The bacon was undercooked in some peoples plates, the chicken tender melt had one measly little strip of chicken on each half of the sandwich so it was mostly bread for majority of the sandwich. The melt also came with a total of 11 fries. The over medium eggs, sausage, and some of the bacon was good.

After hearing many wonderful comments about Chefo's, we decided to try it out. It is fabulous! We have found our new favorite breakfast go to place. We had the Mexican and Paul Bunyan Omelets - both were oh so good. The hash browns were crispy, the pancakes so fluffy... everything was done to perfection. My fiancé and I used to come in all the time (roughly 1-2 times a week for almost a year). Then we moved and had bigger bills so didn’t come back for a while.
Huge mistake! Food was either kind of warm or looked like it was sitting under a heat lamp for a while. My fiancé ordered a waffle, which our server said was made fresh due to the fact that they had just turned off the waffle maker, and it was barely warm enough to melt butter.
The server was rude, placed food directly in front of our 10 month old, refused to serve us just placed it on the table, was very short with us, even got upset at me cause I poured my own coffee because my cup was empty for 10 minutes.
All around I’d say this place has lost its touch in more that one area.

We were given drinks and menus by a kid immediately, however then we sat there with our menus on the edge of the table for some time while our server was chatting with another worker at the register and was clearly looking at us. Another woman, who was running around for everyone came up and said "I asked her to come take your order" we finally get our food and the bacon is undercooked rubber and my omelet clearly has processed cheese melted over the top. I just tried to warm it up and home and it burnt down on the plate. Back to this morning, our server never came to check on us so I could tell her these things. I always give Chefos another chance hoping they would do better, but this has been the 4th time they messed up my order. I called in an order for Biscuits and GRAVY. I get home, and there is ZERO gravy on my biscuits. Like what??? Just 2 lone biscuits and hash browns. 05/30/23 an update a year later... tried this place again. husband brought me home a club sandwich and fries. a 10min drive home and the fries are under cooked and so soggy they are inedible. club sandwich bread barely toasted and also soggy. sandwich also inedible. what a bummer. will not be giving this place any more of our money.

The food is so good! I had the stuffed French toast, and it's the best French toast I ever had. Everything about this place was cool. The menu has something for everyone, fast and friendly service, and good vibes.

This place is a local favorite!
The food is good for a decent price and the portions are ideal.
I’ve tried multiple things on the breakfast menu, my favorite is the Kimberly Sandwich!
The staff is always friendly, even when they are super busy!
The restaurant could use some updates but is overall a great place to visit for breakfast - I’ve not visited for lunch, but will soon!

I had the best breakfast I have ever had here. Our server was absolutely phenomenal and provided fantastic service and gave excellent recommendations on the menu. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast with Dutch apples and every single bite was delicious. My friend ordered the toasted breakfast croissant and it was buttery and flakey in the best way. We will definitely be returning and I can't wait to try what other delicious options this place has available.

Ordered for pickup (online through their website (which is handled through a 3rd party company) and had a few minor add-onsto my skillet (red and green peppers, nacho cheese) and subtraction (jalapeños)...the red peppers are allegedly no longer available (even though they are listed on menu, the green peppers weren't added, the jalapeños weren't taken off and there apparently "isn't a button" to add nacho cheese to the tab so it was disregarded. My wife ordered the crepes and they looked and tasted so terrible that our dog legit wouldn't even eat them...the icing literally tasted like nothing. We ended up throwing 3/4 of our food away. I spoke with the manager and told him we wanted some sort if refund/discount and he said we had to contact the 3rd party who handles the online transaction.....the company didn't even respond and its been a few weeks. There are tons of breakfast places around the fox valley, don't waste your time here, they are putting forth zero effort in their cooking and clearly can't read an order.

When I tell you I would give the person behind the griddle my first born child to get the recipe for their Blitzes, I mean it. In my opinion the juevos rancheros could have used a verde crema of some sort, but beyond that, everything was perfection. I am from Florida here visiting a friend and I would fly back to this snowy frozen tundra for the warm cinnamon apple blitzes. After this meal, I might become a Packers fan.
10/10 recommend.
