We have been ordering from here for several years and we have gotten the same good quality, freshness and consistency all along. It doesn't matter what you order, it is all good.
That last thing you want is a bad Chinese food experience...you won't get that here.

We recently tried another local "favorite" but it is clear...those people giving this other local restaurant good reviews, has not visited Chens. Although some of the food was fine (at this other establishment), it did not have consistency throughout (like Chens), therefore, the experience was not great.

Stop looking for the best Chinese Restaurant in town and GO TO CHENS. And don't call your place the best if you have not tried Chen's menu. You won't regret it.

First time here at Chen's. Food was ready when promised. Small dining in area - as expected for fast casual Chinese. Plenty of shared parking. General Tso''s Chicken 10/10. Kung Pao Chicken 10/10. Chicken Lo Mein 10/10. Chicken egg roll 10/10 but no duck sauce - I guess you have to ask. Everything had lots of fresh veggies and great flavor. I wish the Kung Pao and General Tso's were both a little spicier hot - next time I'll ask for it - that's my bad. Will definitely be back.

This was my first visit to Chen's. I arrived 20 minutes before their opening time but they still had the door open and put my order in right away. General Tso's lunch special was absolutely amazing! Crispy chicken, delicious sauce, and an egg roll. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend! I will be back!

I've been coming here for about 2 years now. The food is consistent and is always delicious, I'd say it's the best in kenosha and surrounding towns. Reasonably priced incredible Chinese food. Atmosphere is that, typical of a small Chinese place, but their food has huge flavor. I saw a review that said this was like a little hole in the wall type of place and I couldn't agree more. Location is small, but the food is incredible.

THE BEST Chinese food! I have tried so many places but none will or has ever compared to here! When you step in you SEE them making your food. After you order if you have EYES and can look around you'll see all utensils and condiments needed. Ordered the Chicken and Broccoli combo that came with the spring egg roll. It’s the best Chinese food I’ve had in Kenosha. Everything was fresh and the sauce tasted flavorful and wonderful. They use brown rice which really surprised me as I haven’t seen a Chinese restaurant use brown rice but that was a positive. So the entree was easily a 10/10 but the spring egg roll was so bad I had to spit it out, and unfortunately deserves a 1/10. But I’m still gonna go back! One bad egg roll isn’t enough to deter me as I’ve been looking for a Chinese place with good food for quite some time.

Just ok. They cook the food really fast which is nice. Their fried beef wontons barely have any beef. The sauce for the egg foo young is weird (tastes like cinnamon).
The Chop suey doesn't have water chestnuts or bamboo shoots. They only use white mushrooms in their dishes. The crab Rangoon is kinda bland. The red sauce they serve with it has a weird hint of ketchup flavor. The don't offer delivery either.
There's better places out there for sure.

I like to always start out with the positives. We dined in and it was clean. Crab Rangoon was DELISH! The food was delivered to our table promptly.

Fried rice was not good. Taste exactly like Uncle Ben’s 90min microwave rice. Salt & Pepper Shrimp taste freezer burned. Szechuan beef wasn’t terrible but wasn’t spicy at all! The boneless ribs were NOT what we expected. We’ve had them a lot of other places and NEVER were they like shredded dry bits of pork. Not only was the food terrible but the PRICE $56 for this! We could not believe it and we thought EVERYTHING but the crab Rangoon was TERRIBLE. The service… we swore the woman behind the counter had ear plugs in… she was screaming at her workers she was screaming at the patrons at one point my fiancé said “I don’t think we can stay here and eat, I can’t listen to this”

They brought our food out and he asked for another soda he gave her the money and we needed chopsticks the woman said “come” made me get up, follow her back up to the register so that she could hand me the chopsticks so that she didn’t have to walk the “maybe” 10ft back to our table. UNBELIEVABLE… an experience we will never forget and I will guarantee I WILL NEVER be back! You can get waaay better meal for a waaay better price in Kenosha really anywhere else!

First time at this location, ordered a combo platter of hunan shrimp and hunan chef’s special. The fried rice in the platter was not jasmine rice like traditional fried rice but of the short grain thick variety. the Crab rangoon is very good, light and crisp without being oily. the steamed dumplings are the best in a 40 mile radius with a tangy and sweet dipping sauce. Their vegetables are fresh tasting and not overcooked.
They also will allow you to ask for extra ginger, garlic, etc. The spring rolls are small, but still nicely cooked.

MY FIRST TIME. This Restaurant Came Highly Recommended. I Specifically Told Them it Was My First time there and Needed Recommendations and Help Ordering... To which No Reply. The General Tao's Chicken was Not spicy but Very Sweet... Too sweet. I was Never Asked an Option for Mild or Hot. Quality of the meat was poor and was Covered in the Fried Tempura Batter. This too was also Covered in Tempura Batter. There were Small Circular pieces of Fried Orange Rind. Very Bitter. The ONLY food item in this Dish that Was Eddible was a Fresh Slice of Orange. I Ate it to only to Cleanse My Pallet. The Crab Rangoon was Crispy, but, the Warm Cream Cheese Sooo Much Sugar it was Unedible. I Struggled to Find the Flavor of the Crab. The Shrimp Egg Rolls were Small and had Only 2 Extremely Small Shrimp inside. The Others (Chicken and Pork) lacked Any Flavor. I could Not tell the Differences. Having Milled Over and thinking that Just Maybe this Entire Dinner was a Once in a Life Time Screwed Up Mistake. My Urge to "Take Out" or Try Again was Extinguished by the Price I Paid ONCE and Not to Loose My Money Again on LUCK.
