The flavor of the food was good but sadly all of the vegetables were very mushy and over cooked. The beef and seafood was very good but the pork tasted kind of questionable like it had been refrigerated, and reheated. The spring roll tasted like freezer burn? The staff was very friendly and nice however and ran after us to make sure we didn’t forget our appetizers 10/10 for the staff service. Maybe the chef has been having a hard time lately or something.

First time coming in the restaurant was clean and organized. The lady in the front was incredibly nice. I loved the food the only thing that knocked the stars down for me was the orange chicken, it had pieces of the oranges skin inside and I could tell them apart once you fully dig in but not at the beginning and I ate a piece of it which was not a great start 😂😂 just be wary of that! Still very good and I 100% recommend!

The owner is so sweet and welcoming. It is my first time here with my parents but the owner remember my parents from over a month ago AND THEIR ORDERS! The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is delicious. It’s not as oily as other restaurants of this cuisine. This is not your Old China Star, this is the New China Star! New owners. The food is fresh and made to order. The pot stickers are the best! They make everything with the best ingredients and the food is prepared on-site, so you aren't getting anything frozen or from a bag. Food takes a little longer here to cook as it is made when the order comes in, nothing is sitting around.

One of our favorite local restaurants to grab sweet and sour chicken. You can order online or by phone. The food is always hot and ready in 10-20 minutes for pickup. Staff is very friendly. Indoor dining is an option, but the decor is very outdated and not aesthetically pleasing. So I work extremely close to this establishment. For lunch today I odered the beef and broccoli lunch special & a shrimp egg roll to go. The beef was fatty & chewy and tasted bland. The portion was very Skippy. About 3/4 rice and a big spoon full of beef and broccoli. As I'm eating the beef I find a thick black hair tangled in the beef. Eww... there goes my appetite.

I immediately bring the food back to the restaurant. She tells me she wants to make my food again. I disagree. I want a refund. She agrees, then says it's going to be 24 hours for the refund to post. Fine! She voids my whole order, then charges me $1.57 for the egg roll because I didn't return that as well. Kind if shisty but I get it they must not receive much business.

This restaurant is filthy. Their windows are barely visible to see out of. Will never go back even though it is convenient.

I have been coming here since 2017 and I absolutely love it! The lady who takes my order majority of the time, always has a smile on her and she is very pleasant! When I came here for lunch to just unwind and look at some different walls instead of my old office which was like a closet, she knew what I would order at every visit but sometimes I'd throw in a curve ball and order something different. The portions a great and the prices are great for the amount of food you get! Their food has always been very delicious and never anything to complain about! I have 6 people in my family that I was supposed to feed. I would never ever recommend a place like this to no one!!! Very sad I work to hard to pay for food that has protein (BUGS) added to my food. Also, no taste to the food or its all stuck together in one big clump. I called them back to address them that I had these issues and my order was over $75.00. They said that their daughter would call me up due to them not understanding or speaking English. The daughter called and sounded like they were a child. I explained the issue and they would call me back after they spoke to the owner. Omg their response was $ 10.00 off my next order. WHAT !!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!! I have been in Kenosha for a long time and pretty much know the Chinese restaurants’, I had eaten in this place some time ago, and I was not convinced then, but some years later I decided to give it a try today, for one the food I ordered on the menu was 5.25 for the lunch special, they charged me 6.49, number 2, the portion is smaller than the other restaurants like Chen’s Bristo and 3 and lastly, the food taste nothing like what it's supposed to taste not good at all, I'm a food critic, I gave it two stars because the lady upfront was cordial.

I tried placing an order online. The ease of finding food and prices was nice, but no descriptions online and no pictures for the different meals. Online, it says they do delivery but I could only pay with cash online. So I called them to find out that they don't deliver.

I'd suggest accepting cards online and picking someone up to deliver if possible. I'd also suggest updating Google and the website to reflect that you do not, do delivery.

This could be a really good restaurant when it comes to flavors and quality, but I will never know.

The service was quick. The price was reasonable. I ordered the grilled shrimp and scallops with veggies. These were the smallest shrimp and scallops I have ever seen at any Restaurant - ever. Shorted us food, called to let them know, she said her brother the driver wouldn’t eat our food, I continued being polite, waited a second, she screamed liar then hung up. Called back and a man answered the phone, he didn’t say hi, he screamed “MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY” then hung up. They also neglected to mention the $6 delivery fee for the 3.4 mile delivery. And when the driver arrived he had zero change and tried keeping the $40 for a $28 order. He had to go to the gas station to bring back change and was not happy about not getting a a 45% tip. The reason I am giving the restaurant only 3 stars is due to a glaring error in their menu. Every 3rd or 4th time I go in there, I will make the mistake of ordering their Spring Rolls. I love Spring Rolls. What China Star sells; however. are Cabbage Rolls. I loathe Cabbage Rolls. They do not have a listing for Cabbage Rolls, only Spring Rolls, which they apparently do not sell. They need to fix this.

I gave the driver a 6$ tip and have nothing to eat the 20$ worth of food with...... plus they charged my 5$ to bring it to me. All of this I would have been happy with had I been able to eat.

First time there, ordered low mein chicken and cashew chicken. Low mein chicken was all noodles and the cashew was FILLED with celery. Called they said next time they will but more chicken in! Um no there will not be a next but thanks

Ordered the sushi plate for $28.00. It was nothing short of disgusting. The sashimi was cooked. It was old, and when I tasted it, I knew it was bad. I brought it to the attention of our waiter, and he didn't know what to do. I paid my bill and will call the health department to let them know.

It took a little longer than I expected to ready the food, but when I got it... the food wasn't amazing. It was pretty good, but it won't be my main place to go. But then there were the people who was kinda hard to understand, but nice. So I dropped to 3 stars.
