I order from DoorDash usual sends my order to the location in the high numbers but tonight I got sent to this known to be sucky location Oakland . When I order from DoorDash I usually call the store to let them know what I don’t want on my sandwich because I simply just don’t eat it and DoorDash doesn’t give you that option to take things off so I called this store location because that is where my order was sent to on 8/26/25 around 8:40pm whoever answers the phone needs to do better. There is no reason for the attitude as much money I have spent with chubbys one of my favorite spots the attitude is not needed all I wanted to do was let the person who answered the phone know what I didn’t want on my sandwich and I understand they are busy I even told him I wasn’t trying to give him a hard time. The hell all that money I spend there I should be be able to call and say I don’t want A & B on the sandwich because I just don’t eat it, no different then me saying it in person. Just do better with customer service period.

I come in today 08/17/25 at 2:50 and the shorter lady at the register says they close at 2:50am. The store says they close at 3am which is not true. Dude got 3/5 orders wrong and was pretty racist. We sat down theres a bathroom but it says employee only. One person in our group asked to use the bathroom, the worker gave him the key(we're white). Then two black guys came in, they ordered. Then one asked them to also use the bathroom and the guy behind the counter said no.

Was eating here at midnight a bizarre experience? Yes. Do I regret it? No. The ice cream was very affordable but nothing impressive at all. Additionally, the presentation was interesting to say the least. On the other hand, the Philly cheesesteak fries were just what I needed. They were sloppy but delicious. Plenty of meat with some solid marination and the cheese whiz smothered over the fries did the job. Service was quite average but the place being open until 3am makes up for it. Would I come here again? Yes because the cheesesteak fries were solid and they have one of the biggest menus that I’ve ever seen before.

My experience here started off ok, but ended terribly. While awaiting my order the guy making my food put the wrong cheese on my burger, he than tried pulling it off and putting shredded cheddar on it, he put the entire burger (bread and styrofoam and all the fixings) in the microwave I guess to try to now melt the cheese because he choose that route the bread was overcooked. He then proceeded to show his coworker who gave a look of surprise. After that he tried serving it to me. I opened it, the bread was overcooked and the burger looked gross. I began to tell the young lady who was disturbing the orders what had happened she said “so you saw that?” I said “yes, I watched the entire thing.” She apologized and replied she didn’t see him. The guy got an attitude because I asked the other guy to remake my burger. I don’t recommend this chubby’s at all. They began to talk about me in Spanish, which I do understand a little bit👀.

Went in for my first time on a Tuesday for lunch on 12/5/23. Ordered a chubby cheesesteak paid my $12. While waiting I saw there was a deal for any cheesesteak, fries, and a fountain drink for 9.99 on Tuesdays. Went up to the counter and asked the register worker "Hey I just noticed this deal can I get fries and a drink with my order". Having more than one fake restaurant on a delivery service is already a red flag but squeezing out that drive-thru donut place because it was so profitable was one of the more disgusting business practices I've seen.

The food is mediocre from Flappers and Southern (I didn't take the time to investigate, I just ordered delivery) is mediocre and not something I'd order again.

This place has some of the tastiest cheesesteak subs and food. The only thing I can complain about when it comes the cheese steak/food was the lack of toppings. Even when I ordered extra mushrooms there were hardly any on the subs. Definitely try the fried cheesecake! My main issue and why I gave 3 stars is the cook. I watched the cook with no hair net, or gloves touch raw meat wipe his hands on his sweater, touch his hair then proceeded to touch the sandwiches and pack food up. They will wear gloves if you ask.

I ordered them last night and had a horrible headache experience which is new because normally I love getting food there. I placed an order online through their own website for a chicken Swiss and mushroom cheesesteak with a float. Instead they sent me a plain steak cheesesteak with absolutely nothing even in it which was even crazy because the writing in the paper said Swiss mushroom steak. I called to ask if they could resend the correct order because even the guy on the phone reference that I had ordered the chicken and he knew that but told me there was nothing he could do and that I’d have to call another place called slice and place my order all over again and PAY AGAIN. It’s one thing to make a mistake on an order but to then punish the customer (because I don’t eat steak at all) on top of that is sad. Money was TAKEN from me when I patronized this place a week ago.

The big-giant-cashier-guy who works there, swiped my credit card on the register, but said it wasn't working, so he used his personal MOBILE PHONE to swipe my credit card.  I bought ONE sandwich.
Then I got a notification on my mobile phone showing that I got TWO charges of $10.65 each!😳  For ONE sandwich!
When I told this to the big-giant-cashier-guy, he told me that one of the charges would be refunded back to my credit card in a couple days...it's been a week and I STILL haven't been reimbursed.😳

That was my last visit.  I'm not angry, but I'm VERY disappointed that he would do something like that.😞

Also, while I was waiting in line, the big-giant-cashier-guy made me wait FIVE minutes to place my order while he was doing something in the public restroom, which is always CLOSED to the public.🤔

Wait time wasn't that long I had only ordered a 2lb catfish box and a Philly cheesesteak the cheese steak was horrible as it was dry as hell and flavorless and the catfish on everything I know and love was the worst I have ever had tasted like nothing but bland cornbread no seasoning I'm originally from Florida and a fish fry should taste good af to the point where your looking for the next piece that what they gave me I just threw outside to the homeless cats in my alleyway at this point complete waste of over $55 never again wasting my money there not worth the price or the quality of the food

They offer so much but I come for the donuts lol they are always soo amazing and fresh. My friend ordered a Philly cheese steak and he devoured it lol so I guess I may need to branch off from the donuts and try something from the inside. I'll definitely be back to see what I've been missing

Got to the restaurant, first they tell me and my fiancé that they’re only making cheesesteaks. We ordered our food was told 15 minute wait time. 3 people that ordered after us got their food before we did. Then when I asked about our order they said it was coming up. A few minutes later they call us up for our food but didn’t have the order complete. They told me and my fiancé that they ran out the bread so they could put or second sandwich in a tortilla or a hot dog bun. What I’m trying to understand is why did the make orders that were placed behind ours. Then didn’t want to give us a refund. It’s not our fault they weren’t able to complete our order. Very bad for business, very disappointed.

Absolutely terrible service and the cheesesteak tasted like it was 3 days old. Dry and stale bread. Would not recommend unless you want to wait 30+ minutes for very subpar food.

The WORST experience of my life. Slowest service ever and most employees were not with it. I waited 30 mins for my order and finally complained to find out that they never PLACED my order. So I waited another 10 mins for my food. I did not even want my food at this point and they would not offer any compensation for their mistake. Horrible and would NOT recommend.

The African American lady at the counter has a BAD AS ATTITUDE PROBLEM! I didn’t ask her to work there and if your not going to be friendly then FIND A NEW PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. She claims she is the Manager due to Everybody else acting like either they don’t speak English or they scared to talk to ppl so they have her do there dirty work…..and boy she does a Great Job of it. She claimed my Salad was ok with having Sandwich sliced Tomatoes and Onions on it. So if you want to deal with a Nasty attitude, this is the place to be!!
