The server /cashier, poor customer service. Didn't acknowledge the fact of my being a guess in the restaurant. No Horchata, no salsa. I don't know if I'll return to this restaurant. It's seems like the place get the most business when happy hour is in session. The ppl come to drink , bcuz they have discounts on alcoholic beverages during happy hour. SMH

This was our second time visiting this location. We ordered 2 taco dinners, asked for all the toppings, didn’t receive what we asked for. Added a big chicken burrito before leaving, it was small and was chunky beef instead of chicken, we also ordered 2 small chimichangas to try, they were good but small as well. The server was on his phone and not very attentive.
Our first visit was better, but we won’t be returning. We spent nearly 60$ this time, but we’ve had much better for less. Still, I’d tell others to give them a try. The food is ok.

Thought I’d give it a try and that was a mistake! Never again! I ordered 2 small chimichangas and 2 small quesadillas and was short on my order that was door dashed! I drove up there and the service was almost non existent and the girl was laughing in the back after I told her about it… Never ever will I be coming here again! Very disappointing

First time at this local hangout. What a gem! We sat at the bar and had a great time with a fabulous waitress. Kai, she gave us delicious recommendations. Margarita and some delicious chips and cheese. She recommended the enchilada Rojas. We ordered it with chicken. I'd give it a 10 out of 10. We'll be back

This is the new place that went into Thistle & Shamrock. I had shrimp empanadas, which I enjoy because getting a shrimp option that isn't a taco is hard to come by. These were corn, which I believe is not traditional, but I liked them. My husband had chorizo with scrambled eggs. I tasted it and the chorizo was very good and not greasy. The atmosphere was fair. But, I go for the food, not what's on the walls. It's always good to try something new. Margaritas were ok. We had a strawberry and a mango. My husband said he thinks they make them to order. So, not sure we will go back, but again, we like trying new things and that's always a good thing! Try it and decide for yourself. I hope you like it. We wish them success! 🌮

We have been searching forever to find our favorite Mexican restaurant and we finally did! The food was fantastic. We had enchiladas and they were exactly how we like them made. Sasha was our server and she did an excellent job. Tony, the GM came to our table and made sure everything was perfect which it was! We will be back for sure!

I went to visit milwaukee for the first time from montreal and I came to eat here. The service was so good and the food was the best Mexican food I've had. Very authentic. I'll definitely be coming back again next time I m in milwaukee. I recommand this restaurant

The chunky beef chimichangas are the BEST.. Bartenders especially Jackie are amazing!!!
But I came in tonight cauee I heard there was karaoke... Dude running was as rude as can be, made me feel like I didn't belong trying to be a wanna be bobby brown or some crap.. point is.. I should feel welcome no matter what.. I grabbed my food and left... You need a new KJ that makes people feel welcome and WANT to sing ...not someone who takes over the moc and thinks he's looking for a record contract... But the food is great,,!!!

I discovered this place last week, host and bartender were great. Order food to go and it was amazing. I recommended this place to another person and they advised me that the got their order to go and had to sent it back 3 time and still wasnt right. My 2nd visit….first time prompted me to return… I ordered the 1/2 pitcher margarita ( made since if I planned to have at least two drinks) last week tasted great!!! This week it tasted like margarita mix/ burning my stomach and throat and I mentioned it to the server. The “manager “ let it be known he made it himself and it was perfect… again that was to you, as your customer, sir sometimes you have to listen. I had no complaints last week for the exact same item I ordered… I’ll just make sure the bartender I order from previous is working vs the “manager “!

Service was alright. 615pm on a Friday night, it was not at all busy. Server never checked in after delivering meal, until my last bite. She offered my check then decided to ask if I needed anything else, but saw my glass was basically empty when she dropped off my food.

Food was tasty, portioned kind of small, in my opinion. I left hungry and for $21 I hate to leave a place hungry. (Photos dont really do it justice)

They never took the extra place settings off my table, which leaves to to wonder how well they clean the tables after a guest leaves.

Also, it would've been cool to get some chips to snack on before the meal came out, like other restaurants do.... i couldve sworn the table next to me got chips when they sat down, but anybody thet ordered them.

Id dine here again, but definitely isn't the first place in my list

Prices are a little high so one star off (especially when compared to Mara's across the street), but service and food were good. We ate outside which was nice. Kids meals are $10, the one with nachos supreme and rice and beans was a large portion and good, the kids cheeseburger was nothing special and therefore overpriced. I had the chicken mole enchiladas which I enjoyed, all moles are different and I would order these again. My mom got the 2 chimichanga dinner, was large portion and she liked it. There horchata was also really good.

The food here is amazing ! I got the Steak / Chicken fajitas ! It come out sizzling and Smokey! It was perfect fajitas and it made the whole restaurant want to order some ! 2 others ordered after they seen what I had gotten and also said they loved it! The service was great the bar manager was great and very respectful and made a great Margarita (Mangonada) I really loved it and will definitely be back !

The restaurant is pretty on the outside. It’s smaller on the inside. The waiter was ok. The food was pretty but the steak was hard and very overcooked. The waiter said her steak isn’t usually like that. She took them back and they sent them back and asked if we wanted another meat because that’s how steak tacos are. As a lover of steak tacos, this is untrue. Me and my lady love to indulge and were hoping to find other favorites. We were then charged for the tacos we ate as well as all the sides in which we did not use. Hospitality is important with customers. Thanks for this experience though.

Quality of the food is really mid. They charge $2.00 per small containers of sauce for the tacos. Every Mexican place you go to for tacos comes standard with various sauces. Here you pay that amount for really mid quality sauce. No thanks, will not be coming back.

Had a very awkward experience with a customer and bartender. For one I came in by myself minding my business. Some lady was already there drinking and just started converting with me. I wasn't bothered until she got very racial with the conversation felt like everything she wanted to talk about had to regard my race … once I started taking pages out her book and mentioning she may feel the way she does cause she is privilege she got very upset and even started touching me i gave her multiple warnings because I'm a black man and i know If i was doing what she was I’ll prolly be shot. So I told the workers about it and they were acting as if her behavior was acceptable and saying I’m just over reacting. Im from the south and is very aware of racism and micro-aggression so i felt very disrespected. Just making this review for any brothers and sisters who may think about trying this place … please save your money and time … The food isn’t worth it..I’ll only suggest this place for drinks.

This was my first experience going to this restaurant, and was very disappointed to say the least. Food quality was average, however, for being a Monday night and having only about 10 customers within the whole establishment we waited over half an hour to receive a taco dinner (3 basic tacos)order which consists of the tacos and accompanied with beans and rice for a whopping $16.50. Furthermore, after waiting over 30 mins for our food the server never brought us silverware. It took another 5 mins before they brought us the silverware.
CONCLUSION: Way over priced, and portions were dismal at best. Service was bad considering above. Wouldn't recommend or go back to this restaurant. I wouldn't bet on it, but by Christmas don't be surprised if this new establishment isn't an establishment any longer. Save your money and find your favorite taco truck.

I love it here. Ask and they will put Tajin on the rim of your margarita. So delicious. The staff is accommodating, friendly, chill, and buena gente all at the same time! Chips and salsa gratis with any order! The salsa Verde is SO GOOD and not too spicy for the people who can't handle hot stuff. It's just right. Clean bathrooms, They also play the latest in Latin music videos, such as Shakira, Bad Bunny, Rosalía, and Karol G, plus tejano and banda. I am looking forward to the Mariachi band coming this weekend! Órale!

First time… a gentleman asked us where we wanted to sit, we chose a spot close to the bar, waiter came over and said,” I was just getting this table cleaned” I then asked if he wanted us to move to another, he said no so we stayed.. Asked for chips and salsa, then had to ask for water and a margarita ( not once was this offered to us) comes back with water and he says , “ would you like anything else” I said yeah how about a menu! Raspberry margarita tastes like nothing but sugar, ordered food… no flavor in steak, fatty meat also, ordered a side of rice and beans.. no flavor.. the chips were also stale.. really was looking forward to a new sit down Mexican restaurant within waking distance, close to home but unfortunately… this is not it🤷‍♀️

Service was outstanding…food was mediocre and severely under seasoned…complimentary chips lacked any salt and salsa was flavorless and watery…ordered combo #1:enchilada, taco and flauta with chunky beef…also came with rice and beans. Enchilada was good but could have been better with more spice and a little heat. I ordered the taco with both American (lettuce and tomatoes) and Mexican (onion and Cilantro) toppings and it had decent flavor but again need more spice and a little heat. Flauta was hard and again lacked flavor. They have just opened so I will be back to see how things shake out and I saw the have several interesting weekday specials including a Friday fish fry hopefully they find the salt, cilantro and chile powder…Good luck guys…

Customer service was ok. The language barrier is a bit difficult. But its ok. It happens. My meal was very unpleasant. Don't order no burgers and fries. The fries were cold. The burger were dry and hard. The buns were flat and dry. Taste like rough rubber. And I spent $11 for that I regret. Just order Mexican food. Makes sense to order that bc it's a Mexican restaurant. This place is pretty much $20 a meal/person for carryout. I got the grande burrito and there was nothing really grande about it. Especially for almost $20 with tax and card charge which I wasn't informed of. Had 2 square slices of yellow/white cheese melted on top of it which was kinda weird. I'd give this place a 2.7 out of 5 stars considering flavor and price. I get inflation and everything but I feel kinda bamboozled paying $20 for what I got. Especially since Mara's is right across the street and is considerably cheaper and more flavorful.

First off the service was very friendly. We felt very welcomed in and I have no complaints there.

Food taste was ok, but my guac was brown and my sour cream separated. Nothing was special but everything was fully cooked and edible. My son's fries did not come until we asked and by the time they arrived we were over half way done with our meal and he was frustrated. (Service -1 for not bringing, otherwise I'd give the service a 5).

The restaurant dining area is largely unchanged with a few paper cutouts on the tables. It was clean so that's all that really matters there.

Ultimately there are better spots for Mexican, maybe after a bit more time has passed it will improve. We may also just had a bit of bad luck.

Honest review here. Very good prices.Margarita was great! Rice was phenomenal! Birria tacos were not the Birria tacos I've had at multiple other Mexican spots, and that particular meat was salty. Hard shell chicken tacos were good, though. Salsa absolutely watered down. I understand they just opened, probably still working some things out. That said, I may stop by again during the summer months to revisit everything.

This was my first time visiting and I must say this has to be the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. The taste/flavor of the food is one of a kind and the quality is superior.
