Took my mom there she’s in a wheelchair. It was very hard getting into the doors. No table are set up for wheelchairs.No senior menu. The waitress let me order off with kids menu for her. She didn’t seem happy that I asked if I could. I’m sorry but my mom is 89yrs old and she don’t eat much. She barely finished what I ordered. Coffee was $3 something priced little high for coffee. I ordered a salad it was ok not worth $16.

Last week me and my family went out for brunch at Cinders to celebrate my daughter’s 13th birthday that has special needs. My daughter wanted a hot dog, she was refused the hotdog due to being 13 when her birthday was the day prior. Due to her not getting her hotdog she threw a bit of a tantrum, she can’t not help it due to her autism. We were asked to leave, Very poor service.

Decided to try the Friday fish fry. Never been to Cinder's before and I had no expectations. The entire staff was fun, friendly and interactive. My waitress provided great service. Decided to get the seafood platter, it was pretty weak. The food wasn't bad but I really wouldn't call it a platter when you only get 1 small piece of haddock, half a piece of perch and a light amount of small shrimp. Sides are cole slaw and bottomless fries. You get drum butter, tarter sauce and cocktail sauce for dipping. The tarter sauce had a strong onion taste that I surprisingly enjoyed. The price for the platter isn't worth it for what you get. There should be at least 2 pieces of each fish if you want to call it a platter, even if you increase the price a bit. There are other places in the surrounding area that have better seafood platters with more fish and include scallops for a few dollars more. 4 out of 10 for the platter but I would still recommend trying this place.

If I could give them nothing I would. Went in on a Sunday at 2 during a packer game with my best friend and 3 boys. We weren't ready to order right away so the server stepped off, we figured out what we wanted and she still hasn't come back so I told my friend to take my boys outside while I ordered, which he did. We were the only ones in the restaurant at that point besides 2 cooks and her. 7 minutes later I saw the cook staring at me so I tried to wave at him and say I'm ready but he was just staring so hard that I continued to wait to see her, she walked back in with the other cook and was laughing joking around avoiding eye contact and my saying I'm ready. Finally as my friend and boys were walking back to the table she comes over after finally seeing me guesturing. I ordered a bowl of chicken dumpling soup. When it came out I said gross, before even digging in it had so much dried parsley on it I thought nope but continued it had some tiny pieces of chicken maybe 4 then a thin long piece and legit only 2 dumplings, and extreme amount of onions and celery, I waved her over and it was like she knew "not enough dumplings" I said yes and she left my soup and went to dig out more dumplings 4 minutes later she comes back with a half filled cup of dumplings. I should've known better the broth was almost grey looking. A min after she brought our meals. My friend and I looked at each other and knew that didn't take long enough. We were starving though so tried it. My 8 year olds big boy cheeseburger was supposed to be m/w it was m/r, my steak sandwich which is the main point of going was well the bun was not toasted on any of the sandwiches, but the meat of the steak sandwich tasted old besides being so dry even with the butter they slapped on, my 10 bacon cheeseburger m supposed to be m/w. Good things were the crisscuts and the buffalo ranch wrap. They also charged $1.50 for 2 tiny cups of ranch which we got a wrap why did we have to pay that, the fries were ok but you could tell the oil in the fryer hasn't been changed in a loooong time. Last but most important why I should've known it was going to be bad was the smell when you enter smells like rotten fish and dirty grease. Working in the food industry for over 20 years shame on me for not paying attention to the signs and shame on the owners for the state of this establishment. bill for 4 meals and soup over 8 no drinks. Sad because the location in Oshkosh cares what they serve

The burger was good but the bun was dry and sharpe crust on top. I took 3 bites and my lips felt like I was eating hard sharp sandpaper.

I waited without eating 10 minutes before the waitress to check when she did she said I was on the phone. I was Less then 1min but when the food arrived I got off the phone and started eating.

I complained and she said that she would get me another bun. I said no I was done. I thought she was going to get the manager but instead she brought me a bill with 25% off. I said no I wasn’t happy at all with the food. I asked to speak with the manager and it was her. Then she said because I took some bites out of the food and said that I ate halve she was going to take 50% off. So I left very unhappy with my experience their. I don’t know if the other locations have this problem.

April 19th, 2024. Now!!! because they served me bad food…

I want to start by saying I have always loved cinders. I've almost always gone to the location by darboy but decided to do a pick up order at the Appleton one on Wisconsin Ave. I've never been so disappointed. I even reached out days ago with my concerns with no response. My ham and cheese sandwich I always order, which is normally packed with ham and a nice buttery bun, had one layer of BURNT ham and a dry bun. The ham was so burnt I could barely eat any of the sandwich.

Wisconsin Ave location for this visit was not very good. Had AYCE whitefish and it was greasy and fries were like warm. Rye bread was stuck together with cold butter. Our server evidently had no child care because her son, about 10 or 11 was following her around the whole time. That was awkward and not cute. It was annoying because our server paid more attention to her kid than her job. We ordered the cheese curd combo appetizer and were brought just cheese curds which is a cheaper price which was fine but then we got charged the higher price and noticed the table near us got the cheese curd combo appetizer to their table right after us and looked confused about it. I suspect our server botched up what was going to her tables. We also were charged twice for our drinks.

The staff were amazing. So nice and accommodating. The food well we haven't been to Cinders in years because we live so far away. When we went before the haddock sandwich was huge and full if fish, I could never eat the whole thing. This time, there was 1 piece of fish. The bun was huge, but there was only half of the sandwich with fish in it. My grandson loved the homemade ranch. My husband says they still have the best tarter sauce of anywhere we've been.

I would give 6 stars, definitely! I've done a lot of grilling and smoking of meats and fish. Using nothing but charcoal. No pellets, no gas. Been here a couple of times and it was great. This time, not so much... asked for the ribeye medium and it came back almost raw. Asked to send it back and I got it back medium well... and didn't get my sour cream back for my baked potato. Usually order for pick up, always enjoy the good food, recently moved back and still delicious as ever. They forgot my Bang Bang Shrimp sauce once but I ordered two other items plain, and I bet they thought it meant the shrimp too, but it was still delicious without the sauce 😁.
