So disappointed in our first experience here because we were super excited to try it out. My husband and I along with our toddler arrived at 6:40 to get dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were promptly taken into the back seating area where there was one other table of people but the rest of the area was empty. We saw the other customers getting their food boxed up by the waiter as well as their checks being handled. They exited and we assumed the waiter would come to us next to at least get us drinks. Well no, we that’s not what happened. Instead we sat around for 25 almost 30 minutes just to leave because no one ever came back into the back seating area. We left hungry and upset that no one had even the courtesy to tell us they were behind and it would be just a few minutes. So now we go on to try and find a place to eat at 7:15 with a toddler in tow.

Went with my husband, very pregnant daughter, and 2 year old grandson yesterday. We went because they are in the Wisconsin Supperclub book. It was about an hour drive from Greenbay. We got seated immediately and loved the atmosphere. My grandson was in awe. We had a chicken pasta dish, walleye, and grilled scallops (omg). The soups were fantastic (chicken and rice and baked French onion). The hot bacon spinach salad (did I write that correctly) was super tasty. We ordered cheese curds for an appetizer that my grandson devoured. Drinks were great too. Of course Matt had an old fashioned. I went with the espresso martini. Great restaurant even if you have to drive. Sorry no photos of the food. Grandson kept us busy.

Very welcoming and friendly. Perfect kitschy rock n roll decor for a Supper Club. Myriad drink and dinner options. Very busy on a Friday thankfully we had reservations. If you wonder “where in the world do you sit for dinner” you are not alone. There is a hallway filled with vinyl that takes you to a back room. Both steaks were well done instead of medium rare. Walleye was excellent. Perch was very good. Service was a bit slow, but they were busy. Live music in the bar area. Very cool experience!

This is a cool place to go for a drink and dinner. The drinks and the food were pretty good. However you need to be a "regular" customer to get a drink and food efficiently. I gave it a 4 because the food was good. Service was not so great. We, myself and my wife, arrived at about 6:20. The bar area was crowded and the bartender told us it would be 20-30 minutes for a table. Being close to the bar, one waitress was complaining that she had too many tables. Appeared to have 4 bartenders, 2 waitress and one bus girl. The waitress were also serving the food in the bar area. Saw about 3 tables of 2 get served. Had 2 drinks while we waited. About 50 minutes later we finally were taken to a table in the dining room, which cannot be seen from the front. When we got to the dining room only 6 tables were occupied, only one was more than 2. The bus girl brought us water after about 10 minutes, the waitress came about 25 minutes after that. Apologized for the wait. Being Friday, I ordered the fish combo, perch, cod and shrimp off the Friday menu $17. I even pointed to it. My wife ordered off the Seafood menu, Shrimp (5) and 1/2 ribs. Cost $29. The salad, bread and soup arrived relatively quickly which was appreciated as by this time we had been waiting about an hour and a half. The waitress arrived with our meals and again apologized, said something about a mixup on who was waiting on our table. She gave us our meals and quickly left. I soon realized that I did not receive the meal that I ordered. I received the shrimp and scallop combo. 3 shrimp and 2 scallops. I didn't complain because I was very hungry and didn't want to wait for the correct dinner. Besides the waitress was nowhere in sight. My wife said I should complain but I didn't. It came on a smaller plate with red potatoes and summer squash. It was very good, but not all that filling. My wife's dinner was perfect. It came on a large plate with the same potatoes and squash, but more of them. I try to pace myself when I eat so that I don't finish ahead of my dining companions, but it doesn't take very long to eat 3 shrimp, 2 scallops 4 slices of summer squash, and 3 forks of potatoes. My wife took pity on me and gave me a couple of her ribs because she new I was still hungry. I don't know how many shrimp/perch/cod I should have received, but it certainly had to be more than what I received. The waitress came with the bill and told us we could pay her or at the bar. We wanted to get going, it was about 9.pm, so we paid at the bar. At the bar I picked up a menu and looked for the other combo. The shrimp/scallop combo was $21 on the seafood menu. This is what was on the bill. The hostess/bartender asked how dinner was and I told her it was very good, which it was, but not what I ordered. She didn't seem at all surprised, took the bill and my charge card and returned with a gift certificate for a future visit $10. I appreciate the gesture, but I paid $5 more for a meal that was inferior. She said that someone called in and they were short staffed. Left at about 8:40. I get that not all days are perfect, but today was very slow and dinner was incorrect and disappointing. Again, 4 is generous.

This place has a fun esthetic and the live music is pretty cool. While the food was good, the portions seemed small for the cost or even compared to other supper clubs. The spinach and bacon salad appeared to be much different than the first time we were here; it barely had any bacon and the dressing was very tangy. The scallops were pretty small and the plates didn't have much food altogether. The steaks were good which was a plus for some in our group.

Really more bar than restaurant. The bar was packed and I had to ask a customer where the restaurant was. He suggested I talk to the bartender. Eventually we were escorted to another wing where the restaurant was. The BBQ ribs were decent but the angel hair pasta and shrimp was really spaghetti noodles and shrimp. The service was slow. The waitress had to walk a long way to the kitchen for the food. There was a sign outside about specials for $12.99 or so but that was only available if you ate dinner in the bar. There were no seats in the crowded and loud bar. Kind of ridiculous. Very disappointed.

Our first time here we were smitten - great service but a bit of a wait as a walk in. Amazing food though and a lovely band that was absolutely fantastic.

Black table cloth was full of hair & dirty, the room was freezing. The first 3 choices we asked for were unavailable, the steak was so tough you could not cut it, the hot bacon dressing on the salad had absolutely no bacon, the soup tasted like it was from a can, the potatoes were overbaked and it was hard to even eat them. We were looking forward to trying this place because we had heard they were a good place to go. We have traveled all over the state trying out Supper Clubs. This has become our hobby since we retired and we were very much disappointed in this one. Most Supper Clubs we have greatly enjoyed but this one I hate to say was our least favorite. We went in hopeful and came out not enjoying it at all. We should have known because when we stepped in the door the bar is what we saw with everyone eating at the bar & at the tables located near the bar. We were told to tell the hostess we were there when we arrived since we made reservations but did not find one so we caught a server who did help us. We liked the records on the wall but it was frustrating that we were told that the first 3 choices we wanted we couldn’t have for one reason or another and so we chose something but the food was not made at all like it was described. My husband is a good chef & he was very disappointed. The place could have used his services Saturday night. I guess when we arrived in the dining room and saw only one other couple, it should have been a sign. We read some good reviews for this place and are wondering what happened because that is not what we experienced.

I must have come on a bad day. Or living in Appleton and not in Shawano I expect better. The place was a dive. Loud. Food was almost inedible. Appleton has a large amount of truly lovely restaurants, top notch! So I am used to quality food . I’m used to nice interiors. Good service. We didn’t get it here. We rented a cottage in Shawano. We came here on a whim. Last minute. 8:30 PM. We had Patty is our server. She was the best server I think I’ve ever had in my life. You can clearly tell. She was proud of working here and excited about all of the menu options, she shared with us She had lots of suggestions and input about what we should have. All of her recommendations were fabulous. The meal was amazing. I had the lobster and the blue cheese, melted, bacon, bacon, wrapped tenderloin. It was fantastic. My date had the black and walleye. It was also wonderful. We end of the evening with the chocolate cake tort. The ambience in here is fabulous. It is very indicative of classic music and a old Timey kind of feel. I love the entire experience. What a wonderful evening. The chef in the kitchen is from another planet. Because her cooking is out of this world I totally love her.

It's an okay place. If you are into bars, you'll find something here you like. The food is pretty well cooked and plated.

If eating here and looking to keep away from sitting at the bar, ask to sit in the far back, it's a way better dining experience and much closer for the serving staff.

The front west eating space atmosphere is odd to say the least.

The dance floor area has tables to eat at and can be okay. The dance floor covered in album covers is pretty neat. The hallway covered in albums, on the way back to the nicer eating area is also pretty neat.

My family and I love coming here! It’s our go to for a nice meal! The atmosphere here is all around positive and cool, the bar area is filled with cool decorations and the dining area is clean and the food!!! The rolls were so hard you couldn't even cut them. The waitress admitted they were over done. The second batch was the same. The third batch was edible but still hard. 20 min.later the soup came, more salt than soup. 20 min.later the salad came swimming in dressing, more than salad. 20 min later the entree came. The shrimp was covered in pepper and unedible. My husband's steak was 1/2". He couldn't cut it or chew it. We told them we shouldn't have to pay for the unedible terrible food, but they insisted we had to or they would call the police on us. They said we ordered it. We ordered food expecting it to be edible.
We didn't eat any of it and were not only charged full price but they added extra for some excuse. We were not given any discount. I would NOT recommend this place. An unbelievable terrible experienced. Don't waste your time or money there.

Loved our evening at Classics. The decor is creative. I could look at it for hours. The four meals at our table were excellent. Special shout out to the kitchen staff who whipped up a dish of Hummas for me (They had run out. I’m a vegan, so my options are usually limited.) My salad was large and fresh. My fellow diners had three different types of meat. All reported it was very good. The staff was extremely busy. It was a little wait for our food, but it certainly wasn’t because the staff wasn’t trying. I’m amazing at how many people they had working. Good for them! The band was fun. We will definitely go back. Shawano is an amazing place.
