Stayed in the motel part for two nights after a very long work trip from Texas. The owner was very nice and professional. She answered all my questions over the phone. The whole check in/check out was contactless and pretty simple and convenient. Check out time is a little earlier then most motels. 9AM for cabins. 10AM for motel. However the owner let me check out a little later. The motel rooms were overall just ok. You get what you pay for. Honestly could of been slightly cheaper for a week night. It was a small room and a bit outdated. The room made all sorts of noises in the night. Bit creepy. The cabins looked beautiful tho. From first glance everything appeared clean but when you look closer like behind the TV and the AC vent, you will see they need dusting. Another thing is there is no thermostat. It's central heat/air and adjusted by the owner. All the rooms are the same temp. The location is beautiful. I didn't see all of it but looks nice from the pictures. Could maybe use another towel or two. Comfy bed. Everything worked inside the room. Overall it was going well until on my last night there, i was borderline harassed by two people who worked at the bar next door and one is also the cleaning lady in the morning. Tho it was mostly the man she was with who did the most talking. I was backing up my car to make it easier to load my bags inside the trunk and they came out asking where I was from. I said "Texas" to which they replied "you park like you are from Texas" then stated my car was in the way of the bars customers even tho i was parked in front of the motel. My car wasn't in the way. There was plenty of room for the other vehicles to safely maneuver. The lady wanted me to park it by the dumpsters which was way far away from my room and said "I could just load my car later when everyone leaves" I told her I had 8 massive bags with me since I had been on the road for 2.5 weeks. The other guests were also a bit sketchy and I didn't know the area so no im not parking my rental car 60-70 yards away when there was an open spot. However another spot opened up just a few doors down as we were talking so I moved my car to make them happy. I had no idea she worked at the motel until I saw her cleaning the rooms when checking out. I also ordered food that last night from the bar because I didn't want to drive back 10 minutes into town. The bar guy was also a bit rude when i asked for Mayo and Mustard with my burger. I am not sure if it's a Wisconsin thing or what. Maybe they dont like out of towners. If so, you work in the wrong business. From reading other reviews from this place. I am a bit shocked i was treated this way. The burger was alright tho. Again the owner was very nice and communicated well. It is the only reason I will give a 3 tho i really want to give a 2. I dont know if I would return...

Beautiful property. Stayed in the motel part. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but for the price, it definitely got the job done. Cabins looked wonderful. Met many who said they come back yearly. Would definitely recommend.

I'm currently staying in the hotel and I'm very satisfied! They have a flexible room where they could open up a second door for a second bed and also open up a sliding door to allow a kitchen access! What a great idea. Becky has treated me very well.

Update: just stayed again and was able to order a pizza in the hotel bar / restaurant and it was very good! Totally recommend it. I've always been treated very well in the bar restaurant.

My boyfriend and I stayed there last weekend in a double room we paid for queen size beds. The beds were not queen . They were full size. The TV did not work even with the owner attempting to fix it. We stayed at the motel in room five later in the evening there were people Smoking marijuana two rooms down from where we were outside and we could smell it. I would not recommend returning to stay there

I’m a traveling CNA and Becky is extremely accommodating! The resort is on a beautiful lake and the rooms have everything you need!! The rooms are clean and very spacious. Beds are comfortable and the location is Amazing being only 3 minutes from the hospital!

We came for a few days. I was expecting a cabin but we ended up with a whole house, lots of space, great location. Amazing hosts. So quiet and peaceful. All the rooms were great the kitchen and living room were spacious and clean. This place is so clean. A garage to get out of the rain to come and go. Easy little walk down to a private lake, so clean and warm. Tons of fish, my boys caught their first fish out here. You get access to canoes and paddle boards, each place has a dock and small engine boat for fishing, which by the way is unbelievable here, so many fish. Great food next door, Walmart and Starbucks very close as well as all the stores you need. Couldn't have found a better place to take the family on vacation. Hosts are easy to contact the whole area is relaxing, enjoy the filly screened in back deck, really awesome on rainy nights. Can't wait to come back, this is the type of place you create memories and come back every year to relive them.

This is our second summer renting a cabin for the week and both years we have been left with only the best memories. This summer we rented both Nestlewood and Cedarnook. Both cabins are well kept and the lake is great for swimming, kayaking and fishing! Excited to book again next year!

We came here January 23rd 2024. The room is insanely cold. I couldn't sleep all night. Don't come in the winter time. There's barely any heat you might as well sleep outside.
I should have read the comments about heat before booking.

Becki took care of us during our softball tourney this past weekend. We stayed in the motel part .Rooms are perfect for what we needed, we will be back and possibly trying the cabins. Might even be back for fishing in the spring. Perfect for the price.

-Hotel leaves alot to be desired and is in dire need of updating and remodeling as things are outdated and falling apart.
-If you're not listening to the traffic all night from the County Road through paper thin walls, you can listen to the critters in the drop ceiling above your head.
-No temp adjustments in the room.
-Room layouts are ridiculously annoying.

The cabins down below the motel are phenomenal and impressive. I would rate those cabins 5 stars and stay in them again!

Never stayed here, but the owner, Steve ripped me off by selling me jet skis that need $2000 worth of repairs after he claimed they were in perfect running condition. When I contacted him and confronted him about his deception he refuses to respond. Can't wait to pay him a visit !

This is the second trip we took in a 8 month time span. Since the first trip new owners took over and there has been many changes. There are no longer amenities such as bath towels as was the case the first time. Also they now charge a $10 per night per guest over 4 so if you are a larger family be prepared to pay. The only thing good this time was the food at beachcomber also we were in the middle cabin which was the smallest one not enough space for a bigger family. We were told the other cabins were not available during our stay however they were empty the entire time. We were able to add a day in the beginning which was fine but then something came up and we were going to leave that same day early and was told no refunds when they don't even have a website that explains cancelation policy

The cabin was nice, but some beds were very hard and some furnishings worn. They do not provide towels, toilet paper, or soap, so you have to bring your own which I have never run across before.

Stayed 1 nite at the Clear View. Beds were pretty lumpy. Asked how to get some heat in the chilly room, and they have a central heating system. Everybody gets the same temperature.
They turned it up, but never felt like it. Their comment wad that not everybody likes it warm.
I’ve paid less and got more other places.

No need to go to chain motels which offer the same old, same old at a premium price. The staff of clear lake resort offer clean rooms and lots of friendly service in their beachcomber lounge. Great pizza and blended exotic beverages. Visitors to rhinelander should check clear lake resort FIRST for vacancies. You'll be very pleasantly surprised at the outstanding value.

Our go-to Rhinelander bar, the beachcomber, is at this resort. Best, fresh made cheesecake and FANTASTIC broasted chicken. Tom, Steve, and Dawn are the best and we just LOVE these drink prices with traveling up from Milwaukee. You feel like old friends and leave wanting to come back. Love it there.
