We haven't been back for a while. We used to get the ravioli and had a butter cream sauce. Recently the menu has changed and is more of vodka sauce than a Tuscan butter cream sauce. Went from a brown color to a pink vodka color sauce. The potatoes were raw and under cooked. Staff was friendly. We're excited for prime rib but it was overcooked. I was hoping it was an off night and it doesn't become a trend.

Magnificent place! My wife had the ribeye, and exquisite piece of steak perfectly cooked, I had beef medallions with Chianti ravioli in a Tuscan butter cream sauce, also exceptional. Chocolate cobbler (OMG!!!) for dessert. Great menu, great service.

I took my severly disabled son there for dinner. Our server Lisa was very kind. She recommended the ravioli with beef medallions. It was very good. She brought me extra rolls for the sauce. At the end of my meal when the bill came there was this note in there. Lisa said someone covered my meal. I was so touched by it I didnt know what to say. She wouldn't tell me who paid it. Some kind person there. I cannot tell you how much of a great night this was for me. I am truly thankful.

This is the quintessential Wisconsin Supper Club. Small, authentic and very personal. You could not ask for better staff. Very attentive and personable. The food is great . Whether you're getting one of the steaks, prime rib or fresh Lake Superior whitefish, you won't be disappointed. Reservations are essential. This place is very popular with locals and tourists alike. Why do you need a reservation days ahead of time with a 1/2 empty dining room? Was told 3 hour wait time? At 5:15 when they open at 4:00. Not even a holiday weekend. Ive been going to clearview for over 20 years and never needed a reservation. If they open a 4 when are you supposed to call to get a table? After we left in called to see what they would say and they said at 5:20 they are booked for the night. Half empty parking lot and dining room. They don't want your business!? If you don't want walk ins please post it on your website or the front door. The food is mid and not worth all of this aggravation. You lost the whole group of life long patrons. Please do better.

Finally decided to wait the 45 minutes to an hour and not sure what all the good reviews are about. Warmed up Sysco dinner rolls, average at best pork tenderloins. Kicker was they were out of mashed potatoes and the server said they can take some out of the freezer and microwave it, would be an extra ten minutes.

Decent French onion soup and drinks but just felt like Applebees in a dressed up historic package.

Quintessential N Wisco supper club, done really well for 105 years. Ol' Fashioneds, steaks, ribs, seafood, and more. Great atmosphere, wood interior and bar. Great service which is saying a lot post-COVID and in a small town with a limited labor pool. Seven of us enjoyed the experience, vibes, and food. The cognac steak sauce is just a shot of cognac warmed up, not a reduction or cream sauce which would be much better. But we loved our steaks, scallops, ribs, ravioli, baked potatos, au gratin, soups, and desserts. Will definitely come back here every time we come up north.

After these comments you will see how we felt two years ago. This was our fifth visit and we won’t be back. JJ the bartender was the best part of the evening. No one likes to be misled when ordering and the place has gotten too expensive for what you get. The waitress sells the potato pancakes as a special. Not mentioning that they’re $5.00 extra.. The salad was the first major disappointment. A little bit of a bagged lettuce, one very small cherry tomato and 1/2 of one piece of a ring of onion on each of our salads. Never have I seen anything like that before in my life. And then $2.00 just for blue cheese crumbles. My wife was disappointed with her puréed garlic mashed potatoes. And then the kicker was $18.00 for was was our favorite Cajun crab dip. The elderly lady that waited on us had absolutely no personality, not even a smile. She really should not be waitressing. Very disappointing experience . Please see below what we thought two years ago.

Second time we’ve eaten there and both times where what everybody wants, what we expected. The drinks were great, the staff was awesome and hustling like you wouldn’t believe. Crab dip has been perfect both times, French Onion soup was delicious and the entrées where exactly what we wanted. Lobster scampi was fantastic and the Ribeye and Salmon Oscar was really good. And to top it off, pink squirrel, golden Cadillac and Grasshoppers were very good. We’ll be back!

The bartender and the server were great. Classic Northwoods atmosphere. Only reason for 4 star is because the tortellini and beef medallions dish was just not good, I made this known and was pleasantly surprised they took it off the bill. I tried the walleye from someone else in my party and it was delicious. Everyone else was happy with their food.

Staff was all excellent. Friendly and efficient. Portabella mushroom with quinoa was excellent as was citrus chicken. Tomato bisque soup had excellent flavor. Martini was great. The bar is exactly what you want from a supper club. The meal service is where they lack. Menu was a stained 8.5x11 sheet of paper in a cheap sleeve. Didn’t find any of the classic supper club items other than steak, no prime rib. Fish fry was very small portions for the price and we were rushed the entire time. Our first and last visit to Clearview supper club. My husband and I went on a Wednesday evening around 6 o’clock. We were handed the Wednesday menu special which is pasta night, however they we’re out of the ravioli dishes. No big deal we could find something else. I ordered the broiled shrimp ($26.99) my husband ordered the ribeye ($38.99). Meals came with salad and potato choice. Salad arrived in small bowl with a super small amount of spring mix flattened in the bowl. This indicates that the salads are premade and stacked in the refrigerator, allowing the lettuce to be smooshed in the bowl. A couple croutons and 1 grape tomato, dressing in a plastic cup on top of salad. Also received a bread basket. What we expected to find was a warm, fresh loaf of Italian bread, instead we received two cold dinner buns, wrapped in a napkin the kind you can get at the grocery store that usually comes in a 12 pack. My husband said his steak was ok. My shrimp (5 shrimp) on the other hand was probably the worst shrimp I’ve ever had. There was absolutely no seasoning on it except for some parsley so it had zero flavor and it was still cold inside so pretty much raw shrimp. I don’t typically return food when at a restaurant however, I did have to say something to the waitress. She wanted to make it right, said they had a new like cook, so she brought me two new shrimp on a little plate fully cooked but tough. Still no seasoning. For the price of dinner and drinks I expected more from this supper club. Sadly won’t be back. 👎🏻 $120+….we should have gone out for pizza. 😞

When in Wisconsin, it's only natural to try a supper club or two. This was our first time at Clearview and it certainly won't be our last. The look and feel is traditional, vintage, and historic, with great food and drinks. One of the house specialties is the Beef Tenderloin and Ravioli. While I wasn't sure about mixing premium beef with pasta, I am glad I ordered it due in part to the delicious sauce.

Made a reservation for 7 pm on a Saturday night. Ordered the prime rib and was told they only had two end pieces left. Decided to try them as they were also out of lobster, ribs, and other items we were wanting. Was served overly well done pieces of basically beef roast at this point. Complained to the waitress and was only given $5.00 off. We were basically charged full price for meat that shouldn’t have ever been served. Shame on them for ripping us off. Will never be returning. Reservations were made for 16. The table we were shown to was set for 10. When we told the hostess she became quite nasty. The place was not busy at this point so that wasn't an excuse. Our waitress was very good and very patient. Drinks and meals were served quickly. The drinks were very good, the food not so much. My husband's ravioli was cold. I ordered a rib eye medium rare. The steak was maybe 3\8ths of an inch thick. It was burned, dry, and well done. I ate maybe 4 bites of it. I noticed the majority of the others ate about half of their meals and nobody asked for a to go box.

Friday Fish Fry was average at best. We ordered cod, bluegill and baby walleye. They all tasted the same. The fillets were old and stale. The potato pancakes were burned, the coleslaw was tasteless and French onion soup was overly salty.
The ambiance is great and our waitress was wonderful but the food was disappointing.

I was very disappointed with this establishment. They were out of several items and the quality of the food that we did get was subpar. The chicken Marsala has a bad taste and was not good and the lobster bisque was awful. The steak my fiancé had was average at best. The best part of the meal was the beer and water that was served. Oh and the at the end when they brought the bill the show you one number and then when you pay with card they bring you a bill with a non cash payment cost added in and don’t say anything about it. This place is highway robbery compared to all the restaurants I have ever eaten at.
