The courses are easy enough for me, a novice.

Without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had at a golf course. Pace of play was infuriatingly slow. Huge groups of 4 or 5 carts taking forever. The course itself is also terrible. No yardage posts along the side of holes and no yardage marked on sprinkler heads. I would never play this course again if it was the last golf course on earth. A complete waste of time and money. Utter trash.

Got our salad right away, server came to clear salad plates and said the kitchen didn't get our order. She said it would be about 5-10 minutes. 20 minutes later we got our food. My filet was ordered to be cooked medium. It was bloody on the inside and charred on the outside. Had a burnt taste to it. Pretty dissatisfied

Pulled off the interstate looking for a good meal and very happy we chose this place. My daughter and I split a Tomahawk pork chop while my husband and Son-in-law chose to share a steak. They were so accommodating when asked to split the meals for us. Drinks were spot on and the service was top notch. We will definitely return before it closes for the winter season.

We swung by this bar on our way home from Madison — the kind of quirky, quiet place we love to stumble into and drop some cash just for the vibes. There were like… 3 people inside. So, perfect! Or so we thought.

Paige the bartender? Total gem. Friendly, warm, made us feel welcome. Gold star for Paige.

Then there was the other bartender. Thick dirty blonde hair, and a vibe like we were bothering her just by existing. We asked for a beer list, and she looked at my husband like he’d just insulted her great-grandmother. Sorry for wanting to give you money?

We moved over to the casino games — my husband hit a $250 win! We were having fun… until she walked up, gave us the full “mom energy,” and said, “Does this thing turn down?” before literally turning down the volume on his machine mid-celebration. I’m hard of hearing — he turns it up so I can enjoy it too. Didn’t ask, didn’t wait for a response. Just shushed the whole vibe like we were kids being too loud at a sleepover.

We go out to escape being parents for a bit, not to get mom’d by a bartender who clearly didn’t want us there. Big cheers to Paige, though — she was holding it down. The other one? Maybe bartending’s not the best career path

Three really well maintained nine hole golf courses, nice snack bar area and wonderful restaurant and bar. It is a great deal when you get one of the packages. We had a group of four foursomes and the course was never backed up and we never felt rushed. Drinks are moderately priced if you want to get something not on the included deal and the steaks were amazing. Wonderful and helpful staff. We will definitely be back.

Have eaten there a couple of times. First time was great, excellent waitresses, with great food/offer a buffet. However, on our most recent visit, we were not too impressed. The appetizer (fried pickles) was expensive for what it was, and it was mostly (a 10 to 1 ratio) burned bread with one very, very thin layer of a poorly seasoned cucumber/no vinegar pickle taste at all. They only give you $6 pieces of burned fried bread/what is supposed to be pickles. The waiter grab my drink when I was only half way through drinking it, and then didn’t bother to ask if I wanted a refill for another 20 mins, when he wasn’t busy with other tables, as this was 5pm and there were two waiters/waitresses with only two tables occupied. The asparagus was really tough as well. It’s a shame because the two female waitresses that we had last time were so down to earth, with great personalities, and could tell you what is highly recommended/enjoyed on the menu. My whole family was just not impressed with the food or the staff tonight and unfortunately try other places before considering going back.

Coachman’s Golf Resort is one of my favorite local golf courses! The service was great and the staff was friendly and accommodating! The mowing was not as short as I remembered but that might be because we had recently gotten and it’s spring time. I have never stayed in the rooms so I didn’t comment on them. It’s a fun course I will be back soon!

This place is a diamond in the rough. Three well cared for 9 hole courses. Not the most challenging course (which is good for me because I’m not the greatest golfer) but open fairways, plenty of relief, some challenging greens and a good mix of par 3-5s. The golf weekend package is unbeatable. 2 night stay, 3 days of unlimited golf, fish fry Friday, Saturday lunch and prime rib dinner, Sunday brunch and 4 cocktail tickets for an unbelievable price. This is your quintessential WI establishment. Great bar and supper club on site. Club house and snack bar have everything you need and byob is okay. This place has everything you need and more. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The room bathroom was recently updated but this is a nice old school establishment. Only feedback is I wish the rooms had a small refrigerator but not a huge deal because we could make do with a cooler and ice.

We were there for a golf weekend with a group of guys. The courses were fun and in pretty decent shape. Being able to play all you want is nice as well. Driving range is short, but good for a quick warmup. The room was clean and fairly nice, although dated. The people were nice. And the overall value was great. The package included food, a couple of drinks which was nice. The restaurant and bar area were great. Food was far better than I ever expected. Perch fish fry was great and so we're the prime rib buffet. Breakfast buffet on Sunday was also delicious.

Overall, it's a great place to spend a couple days playing golf and enjoying yourselves. I'm sure some groups can be a bit noisy on the course. Don't be expecting something like a Kohler or Sand Valley... Bc it's not. But a great mid level value. Highly recommend checking out!

Only went there for the golf course. General overview of the entire facility - it's listed as a golf resort. That's a stretch, in my opinion. A "resort" conjures up images of multiple high-rise buildings, glamours pools, and full service spa with elegant facilities. This resort is more like 3 small strip motels, a small pool, and an overpriced golf course. The golf course staff were excellent, bar none. The course driving range only allowed
shots under 210 yards. The practice putting green was small, very small. On the upside- the facilities restaurant, not snack shop, was excellent. Hannah, our waitress was beyond great, and the food was excellent. I would never stay at this place, but going back to golf? Maybe if they lower the greens fees.

Let's see; broken tees all around the tee box, unrepaired ball marks all over the greens, sand traps haven't seen a rake all day, no yardage markers, not enough trash cans, not enough ball washers, no water in the few ball washers that were there, and pathetically slower golfers who don't realize they're not alone out there. Obviously many of the golfers that come up to Wisconsin to play this course have little or no couth. And the course itself could definitely benefit from new management.

I booked a foursome for a stay and play package the resort offered. The package was supposed to be $216 per person and I was told I would receive 20% of this price as well. Sounded great. When we go to check in, we were asked to put a credit card on file. They handed us a copy of the bill at that time, and it showed a total of $260 per person. When we asked why the prices was so high, we were told that they would fix it. When we checked in the lady gave us our room keys as well as coupons for drinks and 2 meals. I thought this was part of our package. When we went to check out, we were told that they had changed our package to a much more expensive package, and that why the prices were so different. The lady at the desk implied it was our fault for accepting the drink and food coupons, and never did give the 20% off. We paid over $1,000 for 2 rounds of golf, two meals, and one night in a crappy room.

The rooms are very dated, and there was no coffee maker or shampoo or conditioner. The golf course was average. We only seen the beverage cart once. The food and service at the restaurant was very good.

My friends and I have done stay and play packages for over 10 years throughout the state and this was by far the worst. I don't
understand how or why the lady would change our package without saying anything about it until we checked out. This place is way too expensive. There are so many better places to stay throughout the state, I would highly recommend looking at other places.

Fun golf course, with rates that won't break the bank. There is onsite lodging, making for complete golf, dining & stay. I was with 3 friends, just played 9 holes, due to the time of day. After golf, we enjoyed sandwiches and beverages at their restaurant. I had the Firecracker Burger Wrap and cheese curds. Super delish, if you like food with a little heat. Our server, Cammie, was personable, knowledgeable and efficient. She's a great asset for the restaurant. This group has been at Coachman's on several occasions and we'll continue to go back. That means, we recommend this business.

Excellent golf course for the money. If you are playing the game for enjoyment this is a great place to go. If you are competitive, go elsewhere so you are not disappointed when you run into a fellow golfer in your own fairway. It's an enjoyable course, great food at the bar, nice overall setting. They have 61 hotel rooms, a banquet facility, full kitchen, snack shack and the owners are on site and keep the place running like a well oiled machine.

We purchased (2) Group Golf vouchers for $18 each which included 18 holes and the cart. We were excited to try this resort since we had seen and heard about it for many years. We knew it had been around awhile, so our expectations weren't overly high. When we pulled in, we had to laugh at how dated this motel and course looked, but since we only paid $36 to be there we didn't care. Once we entered the pro shop our initial impression of the place skyrocketed! The lady working the pro shop was so friendly she made us feel right at home. Same with the lady working the snack counter. The starter was amazing too - he was right on top of where everyone was on the course and let us know they had a full day so play might be slow. It was, but considering there was an outing, a full course, and a wedding it wasn't too bad. We enjoyed our round and decided to stop in at the restaurant/bar before leaving. The bartender was not nearly as friendly as everyone else but she was really busy and met our needs. Overall we were happy with our visit, especially given the low price we paid. I don't think we would ever stay overnight but we'll definitely be back for golf!
