Outstanding place, super friendly staff and incredibly delicious healthy food!

We were on a road trip to bayfield, stopped by for brunch and left wanting to have more.

A lot of great food options, bakery items, bento box for take away. Had a really nice time, enjoyed delicious food, took couple of bento box for the road.

Relaxing, indoor and outdoor seating, clean restrooms makes this place an enjoyable dine in experience. Highly recommend!

Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had! The bronco was the best sandwich ever! Such a cute place. Lots of gluten free options as well as some dairy free and vegan options! Very transparent with allergy content. Very open, accepting, and welcoming of all people. Excellent place!

Very welcoming staff. The focaccia had come out of the oven when we were checking out and we had to get it - it was fluffy on the inside, crispy in the outside, and seasoned perfectly.

They have a number of pastries to pick from along with a menu of grill foods that looked amazing! We went there for pastries but were also told there was a 40 minute wait for grill foods if we wanted those. Granted it was a Sunday morning! . I had the chocolate Bobka and it was delicious and their take on the Raktajino latte was fantastic! They also have a number of premade sandwiches and desserts. Great place!!

So impressed! A must stop! Wish they were open more days of the week. I loved the cheddar bacon scone and the mocha made with European chocolate. Such a nice upgrade! We kept calling this place “the fancy homemade Panera.” I’d gladly return for breakfast and lunch in the future.

We had The Pesto and The Gramma Crabby with roasted rosemary potatoes. Both were really good. Everything is made there and very fresh. We bought a blueberry muffin to take home which was also very good. The place has an "artsy" eclectic feel. You order at the register and they will bring the food to your table. It took a little bit to get our food, thinking because it's all made fresh. It was worth the wait!!

Stopped by here after a walk through Houghton Falls. All the pastries and sandwiches looked so good we didn't know which ones to choose.
My kids ended up ordering cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate. I ordered a strawberry scone and latte. My husband ordered a Mocha.
I have to say this is the BEST cinnamon roll I've ever had in my life!!! Not too sweet. The scone and latte were also delish but I highly recommend the cinnamon roll!!!!

Headed into town for our elopement and to get our cake and baked goods order. Our group decided to get a quick lunch before pickup. Our kids meal didn’t come with the apple it had listed and the sandwich had no Mayo- seemed a bit odd. My partner also got a sandwich but nothing comes with sides unless you do a bento box. For the pricing I would have liked if the sandwiches at least came with sides. The cashier we had (female with brunette hair) was pretty rude. I tried putting my change into the tip jar and some of the coins accidentally fell onto the counter and she made a snarky response.
HOWEVER- baked goods were to die for. The owner was great to work with and seems to be really passionate about ingredients. Especially if you are gluten free or have any allergies. We would love to come back and eat here again. Next time we know to ask questions or do add ons for the the regular meals.

We got a refund even though we didn't ask. Returned our take out order, was bland, undercooked pasta, and the peanut wrap was actually curry. Wife took one bite and throat started closing. I've tried as a local for ten years. Just always so disappointing.

Returned for the first time in 5 years. So happy they are still there. Food options are some of the best I have had for breakfast. I had a bronco sandwich, a denver omlette sandwich; wife had gluten free stuffed strawberry french toast; sooo good! Most everything is sourced locally and made from scratch. Plus all of their cups, plates, and containers are either compostable or recyclable. DUE TO HY. 13 CONSTRUCTION YOU DO NOT DRIVE BY. PLEASE PATRONIZE THIS AND OTHE LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES. They expect the road work to last 2 to 4 more years. We will be back when we can just for the delicious food and bakery...it is worth the trip!!!

Arrived at 7:30am Thursday May 2 to purchase fresh bread. Selected a sour dough loaf and baguette
When employee picked out the baguette she said this is stale and I can’t sell it to you.
She asked another employee if there were any fresh baguettes - answer no.
So I just bought the sour dough bread which turned out to be just plain basic white Italian supermarket bread Not sourdough at all.
What a scam. Stay away from this “bakery”.

I love coco’s! A lot a great “hippie tree-hugger planet-loving vegan” vibe but with bacon eggs coffee great pastry and soups sandwiches and everything a committed omnivore would ask for.

I had Todd-in-a-hole with bacon and fresh fruit and coffee. Great coffee, great toads, the bacon could have been crispier. But I loved the meal…. The potato bread was perfectly fitted and the egg was soft and dip worthy.

Leslie had a tasty egg sandwich with pesto potatoes…both very well made and delicious. Her chai latte was excellent…home made with tons of chai flavor!!!

The atmosphere in side is fun fun fun…and the patrons and staff are happy and welcoming

I didn’t try all the pastries, but this place warrants a few repeats to bat the cycle for sure!

We have been dining at Coco for many years. Last weekend we ate lunch and breakfast. The quality of their food has dropped drastically. The roast beef and chicken sandwiches were very dry and the aoli spread was non-existent (which did not help). The pasta salad was OK. The blueberry muffin had 3 tiny blueberries in it and no sugary topping. The granola is still good. Overall, nothing like their products in that past.

I hope they can improve their quality because we really want to like their store. Please improve, we want to come back to your little gem in Washburn.

★ 5

This place is ridiculous. My wife and I had breakfast here and it was OUTSTANDING. I had the Bronco sandwich and was skeptical I would like it. Totally wrong. The flavors and textures were balanced perfectly and the focaccia was incredible - crispy and hot on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside, and not the least bit greasy. A delicious focaccia that's not greasy is a rare thing indeed. My wife had the Myra breakfast sandwich and it was equally delicious. We were skeptical of a breakfast sandwich with no meat, but the mushrooms were cooked perfectly to add a meaty texture. We couldn't decide which was better - the Bronco or the Myra.

We came again the next day for breakfast because we were so impressed on day one. We had the Toad in the Hole and were also impressed, even though we frequently make this at home - crispy, airy, tender bread; perfectly cooked egg - it was divine. Could have used a touch more salt, but still excellent.

The only thing we didn't like was the rosemary potatoes side dish. Their flavor was great, but they lacked the crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside texture that you really want in a potato - they were pretty much just tender all the way through. Very tender. Kind of textureless. Happily, there are other breakfast sides available like a fruit cup, sausage patties, and bacon, and those are all great.

Please eat here. Eat in. Order online and get your food to go. Get a cold sandwich for later. Leave a big tip. This place is a gem and would thrive just as well in NYC as it does in Washburn.

Came during the 4th of July weekend. They weren’t serving hot food. However, the place was really busy. Had a very tasty strawberry scone…it was extremely fresh and delicious. Had a good amount of indoor seating and some outdoor space too. I noticed a lot of the locals picking up loaves of fresh baked bread and focaccia. If I was on my way home, probably would have done the same. It looked and smelled amazing.

The banana coconut muffin and raspberry danish were dense and flavorful. The staff was friendly for the most part, although the lady seemed annoyed that I asked for a fork for my muffin.. lol.

We were a little disappointed that they weren't serving their breakfast sandwiches when we went, but nothing we could do about that.

This place is awesome! Walked in thinking it was a coffee shop with maybe something to eat and it turned out to be a wonderful restaurant with a hugeeeee menu. Deli case full of wonderful bento boxes, sandwiches and treats. I personally ordered a breakfast dish, “grandmas crabby” or something like that and WOW it was amazing. Perfect frittata with sausage and giardinara, cheese and pesto. Just an absolutely lovely place with great vibes and food. Will be back for sure.

Oh my, what a great place and community. Come for the coffee and leave with a great breakfast. …or Lunch. …or amazing bread, scones, cupcakes or… Well you get the idea. Just good food. …and people, did I mention the great people and service. Great diversity in the menu and plenty for people to choose who have dietary guidelines. Delivery or pick a place near the window where you can plot moving to Washburn if not already there. Even makes the far North Mud Season enjoyable. Just super, creative people making great food and bake goods and they’re nice people too.

Great artisanal baked goods, breakfast, lunch, and good coffee to boot.

There are too many good things to list, but here's a few: local ingredients! Absolutely everything that possibly can be local, is! This is the best restaurant I have ever been to for prioritizing local ingredients!

Dietary restrictions- there are plenty of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, nut free, and more options, and they are just as tasty and interesting as everything else is!

1/2022 Covid-19 update: Covid precautions in place, and all transactions are takeout only. Bonus is that breakfast is now available all day!! I recommend ordering online or calling ahead if you don't want to wait outside.

My favorites: Bronco breakfast sandwich, Banh Mi, lemon cheesecake, and Bialy.

I was absolutely stunned when I took my first couple of bites. I've been to many places and have had great breakfasts around the globe. This small town local restaurant has taken the place at the top of my list as the best breakfast food I've ever had! I would travel to this town just to experience the food, atmosphere, and the humor of this place again. It's a must try! It has vegetarian and vegan friendly options for those of you who are wondering.

Had pastries for breakfast and went back for dinner lunch. Turnover was good and cinnamon bun was great, unfortunately the chocolate chip, raspberry muffin type thing I got was the last and pretty dried out.

Lunch was the Turkey 'bento' box and the daily special Italian beef with coleslaw. Both were very good.

Amazing!! So many options for gluten free… vegan… dairy free… egg free - or those very fortunate people who don’t have any dietary restrictions!! I honestly stocked up because we were passing through and it’s rare to find a bakery I can go to with the gluten restrictions.

I got two bags of their granola, a chocolate chip macaroon (which was phenomenal) and gluten free pumpkin bread. They offer so many amazing choices for all to enjoy! Don’t skip this place it was awesome!

The worst cafe experience ever. It took them and hour to get a loaf of bread that was stale. Don't go here. You think they would go faster because of apple fest?

Sad day… we have waited over a year to come eat here… but unfortunately our cash money is no good here. We left with a hungry crying 4-year-old….😔 I understand your need for safety…. But money is not a contagion for Covid-19, because of you believed that, you would not have have a cash tip jar sitting right there! We were so disappointed…. We work very hard for the money we make and should not be discriminated against because we only spend money we have and do not live on credit. 😔

So glad it was Thursday- and Coco was open when we went by this time (limited days & hours). We had planned on taking advantage of the all day breakfast, but the lunch offerings sucked us in. We did a lone turkey sandwich and a bento box version of the same. Of course had to add in some scones, a cinnamon roll, turnovers, cookies, and focaccia bread. The turkey is the real thing, and lots of it. Wonderfully put together - amazing flavors. Sampled most of the bakery items. As expected from a place with artisan in it’s name all we’re great. Just waiting to get hungry again to finish them all off.

Amazing cranberry bread. Delicious food. Will go back any chance I get. The kids menu offered a "Grilled cheese"- when my son opened it he discovered there was also egg in the middle to which he happens to object.
They kindly replaced the grilled cheese at no charge. Great service. I personally tried the grilled cheese with egg and found it delicious.

Absolutely delicious bakery items and high quality ingredients. Creative breakfast menu. Currently all food is to-go, you can view everything from the window. Loved it, definitely a delicious place to stop for breakfast, lunch, bakery goodies, and artisan bread loaves.
