Three stars for the staff, pizza, and beer. The staff is friendly, the pizza is good, and the beer holds up. But none of that makes up for the chaos. The place is crawling with kids—hogging tables, running around, and making enough noise to kill any chance of actually enjoying yourself. If you want to spend your night surrounded by screaming kids instead of relaxing with a drink, this is the spot. Otherwise, save your money and go somewhere that values adults who are actually paying the tab.

If I had to pick a place to go to get food w/ my family in Green Bay this would be the first place. The food is consistently delicious, and drinks are as well. Staff is very helpful and kind. Their outdoor area is the perfect place for kids to run around and play while the adults can actually have quality conversations. I can’t recommend it enough! 10/10

Fantastic experience at Cocoon Brewing!
We had an amazing time here — the pizzas were out of this world! We tried the Street Corn, Pickle, and White Mushroom varieties, and each one was perfectly cooked in the brick-fired oven with bold, unique flavors that totally delivered.

The atmosphere was top-notch — welcoming, lively, and perfect for all kinds of groups, whether you’re out with friends, kids, or even your dog. It was our first time visiting, so things were a little confusing at first, but our bartender was incredibly helpful, walking us through everything and setting the tone for an awesome date night.

We’ll definitely be back — this place is a gem!

Cocoon is yet another great restaurant spoiled by being way, way too loud.
This volume, over extended periods of time, is not good.
The owners could fix this issue by adding acoustical treatment to bring down the reflections. Ideally, they would hire a consultant.
The social aspect of the main building is completely lost during any busy hours until this is fixed.
Otherwise, I really like Cocoon. The pizza is on point, and the outdoor/cocoon areas are really cool.
Edit: 7/30/25: True to their word, Cocoon has installed sounds treatment in in the restaurant. It does make a significant difference. A little more would be welcome, but cheers to the owners for taking feedback, and implementing a fix.
I've visited Cocoon quite a few times since I first posted my review, and I have to say they really have earned a 5 star rating. Their food and beer is consistently top notch, and their customer service is exceptional. Don't drive by Cocoon, they're fantastic.

Hey guys. I went here once and it was okay I think if I remember, what I really need to do is just a little PSA to get some attention on an issue that really needs some attention I think. DONT take any medicine that hasn’t been prescribed to you. BUT, EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY, DONT feed your plants with SURPLUS Mountain Dew that your COUSIN BRENT got like 7 cases of it for you because he works in RETAIL but like you don’t really like Mountain Dew anyway do you? So what are you going to do? Feed it to your plant? I GUESS it’s better than WASTING WATER and your fish definitely doesn’t drink that stuff. So you feed it to your plant and now it’s dead. I booked one of the cocoon rentals for a bachelorette party. The service to our room was amazing! It was super nice to have air conditioning and privacy on such a hot day. If it wasn’t as muggy, we would’ve opened the large window and enjoyed the live music. Drinks and food were enjoyed by all.

My friends husband planned her surprise birthday party here. He asked them not to send a calendar invite reminder as they have a shared google calendar. They did anyways, which lead to ruining the surprise.

Then they took it upon themselves to advertise the Live Music that we provided for the party. With this announcement on facebook, the birthday girl now knew her favorite band was going to be at her birthday surprise party, second surprise ruined.

Not only did they ruin her surprise party, but they profited off that advertisement as it brought more people in to their buisness. When this disappointment was brought to their attention, blame was shifted to the marketing department, but no one even said sorry or comped anything. We paid for our Cocoon for the party, we paid for the band, we paid for multiple pizzas, and no one from Cocoon Brewing acknowledged their wrong doing. Just rude.

Later found out that my friends paid their bill Saturday night, but we're charged an extra $250 and reviewing our purchases,was charged 8 dollars a beer when the sign clearly said 7 dollars....

Not going back. Customer Service and honesty is everything, and they don't have it.

Tonight we went to Cocoon Brewing Company for a cheesecake and beer pairing event.

There were four cheesecakes made by Five Thumbs Up, located at 240 N Broadway in Green Bay, that were paired with four of Cocoon Brewing Company’s beers.

The cheesecakes were so decadent and creamy and paired so well with the chosen beers.

This place was PACKED! Not a spot to be found to sit, let alone stand. Thankfully, who we believed to be one of the owners, approached us and asked if we wanted to go to one of the private “cocoons” to enjoy our pairing. These cocoons normally need to be rented to enjoyed, but was given free of charge.

These cocoons are quiet, private, uniquely decorated buildings on the property. They definitely offer a unique experience for any private event

After our pairings we ordered a wood fired pepperoni pizza which comes with hot honey. There is nothing better than a wood fired pizza and the added sweet heat was a great touch.

This place is a vibe.

They have trivia, bingo and other unique events monthly.

The hospitality and customer service was top notch. This place is worth going too.

Great food and great selection of taps or cocktails. The QRcode tab system for ordering is also very unique and really nice. All of these things listed are entirely subjective to taste and the next person might hate their topping selections or beer flavors. It really boils down to coming and trying it for yourself and make your own opinion.

That said, there are a few things they could make an improvement on.
1st is to have some highchairs or booster seats available. I see a lot of parents with young children or babies eating here and they are always having to hold their kids on their laps or let them crawl around on the floor.

The 2nd thing is having some chicken on their pizza menu. Their white sauce pizzas are great, but there are so many more options opened up if chicken was an available topping.

Last is they need to be better at making rounds and wiping off tables. If you are going to make getting food self service and also have me flag someone down every time i need a table wiped off, you might as well take the tipping off the bill system.

Our first time here. They have outdoor "cocoons" you can rent, which look cool. We really enjoyed talking with Craig behind the bar, and he offered me spot-on advice in choosing a beer. Great beer that rotates often, good service and amazing pizza. They also serve liquor if you don't want craft beer. We've had great times both renting one of the private cocoon buildings out back, or just hanging in the bar and the outdoor seating. There are some outdoor games and a shuffleboard table inside. Cocoon has a family friendly atmosphere, with customers often brining their kids to hang out and play outside, if that matters to you one way or the other. [I updated my review because I think my comments about customers bringing kids was too strong initially. It's never been a problem for us.]

Bartenders want to socialize rather than help customers is my first impression which is a big hint. Finished a beer and it took a while for them to finally ask me if I wanted a refill, seems as if it's more social for them than a job.

I was looking forward to visiting Cocoon, looking at the great reviews. Sadly, my experience was disappointing.
First of all, there is no service whatsoever. You order on your phone (or you can walk up to the bar) and you get a text message when the food is ready. You pick up your food, plates, napkins and utensils. It felt like high school cafeteria to me. It was also very loud. I could not hear the person sitting across the table.
Yet when you check out, the screen is suggesting 20 to 30% tip. For what?
The food and my drink were ok. Nothing special.
The outdoor area with games is appealing to families with small children who run and make all kinds of noise.
It did not work for us and what we were looking for on a Friday evening.

You simply check out the menu and order at the main desk area. You pay for your food and beverages all at once. They ask for your cell phone number and will send you a quick text when your ZA & items are ready. At that time, swing by the delivery area located by the woodfire OVEN and you're all set! All condiments, napkins, and extras are located to the right of the pizza area. If you happen to need an extra beverage, simply in line and order at Will.
*HOT TIP ~ if you are a thirsty person or think you're going to drink more than one beverage, my recommendation is to go ahead and order two beverages of your choice per person. That way you don't have to jump back in line as quickly. LOL!
They fill up fast and if they're busy, you may have to wait the second time around to get a refill or 2nd beverage. Just sayin...🩷

This place is huge.... You could literally have a work event here and I'm sure they have. Its a very comfortable space that everyone can stretch out and not be on top of each other.

I would highly recommend the pepperoni pizza, sizzling hot with lots of flavor and absolutely. I washed it down with one of their strawberry craft cocktail, equally Divine! EKKK and YES!

Every single staff member that was on duty that night and offered customer service! Different staff members were stepping in to get beverages while others were building pizzas and helping direct the crowd. EVERYONE works really hard and we appreciate all of you! AHHH!

First I want to say that I REALLY wanted to like this place. We looked at the menu and concept before we went and it seemed like a perfect match for us. However, when we arrived it quickly became obvious that we were wrong. Enter the building and its a large open space, with zero sound dampening and the music is loud. You walk up to the bar and they ask to take your order. Of course there is no menu board so you are ill-prepared to actually order. They handed us menus and we stepped aside. Once we decided what to order, we got back in line and eventually ordered our food. They ask for our name and phone # which should have been a clue, then we are asked to pay/tip. The tipping options start at 20% and go up from there. We tip, pay and we are then told they will text us when our food is ready and we are handed our drinks. Let's be clear, that was the only service we received the entire time we were there. No one else interacted with us... and they want at LEAST 20% as a tip. Next, we find some seats outside to avoid the loud music and get comfortable as we can in the full sun. No shade. There are children running around unattended and people yelling back and forth the yard to one another. Eventually we get a text that our food is ready and we go in to pick it up.

Street Corn Pizza and Rizotto. The pizza crust was excellent and thats where it ends. It has a tiny amount of corn and a ton of "street corn sauce". It soggy and squishy on top... its just way to much of the sauce. The Rizotto is overcooked, the rice was over bloomed and it was covered in cheese. We understand that there is cheeze in rizotto... we are talking about large globs on top of the rice, not mixed in and too cold to actually melt into the rice. It was unappealing at best. $50 for two sodas, a pizza and an order of rizotto before the tip.

We have no reason to return. I really wanted to like this place but the price is off, the quality is off and what exactly am I tipping for if they don't actually provide a service? I had to get my own food/drinks and clear my own table. I don't get it.

I think this place is more 4/5 but gave it a 5 because the lower star reviews are ridiculous stupid. I also hate kids running around (parents need to parent), but it's a family friendly brewery... I guess this place has the potential to be a cool spot, but too many things got to me.

I just want to say that their beer is great, beyond that, I’m not impressed by them.

First, there are always a bunch of kids running around without parents watching them at all. My husband was knocked into by a kid running around outside and spilled beer and my pink cocktail all over himself. The parents were nowhere to be seen.

Second, their setup only lets one or two customers order in line at the bar at a time. When we’re there on busy weekends it’s not even worth it because we have to stand in line for 20 minutes just to get a drink.

Then there’s the thing with the way they give change. We recently discovered that they will round up your cash total to the nearest dollar amount because they don’t have coins. This would be fine if they told you about it first, but they don’t. And because of this, sometimes you end up paying more for a drink with cash than you would with a card. I got a vodka and soda that was $9 cash but the next time I went it was $8 something with card and that’s including the 4% card transaction fee they have. Really weird way of doing things and you should at least let your guests know about the rounding policy.

Lastly, the last time we were in we were told food was a two-hour wait. That’s insane.

The brewery space is very nice, wide open with plenty of seating, comfortable seating and when the weather is appropriate, lots of outdoor seating. Didn't rent one this visit but the cocoon rentals are a cool idea as well. The beer was delicious and got to chat a little bit with Brewmaster Josh who was a delight to talk with about the brewery and where it's going.

A couple things keep this from being a higher star review (really wish you could do half stars because 3 is a little low but 4 is too high; if I could I'd give them 3.5).

First was my pizza; I will say that the taste was good but it was undercooked. When I attempted to pick up a piece it folded in half and the toppings slid right off. There were only two of us in the brewery at this time so no reason for undercooked food.

Second was the QR ordering system. The beer menu had you could get a flight of 4 for $14 but there was no way to get that deal through the QR system. The beertender was able to help me get the price and said they are aware that is not an option in the QR system. Also seemed to be a disconnect with beers in the QR system verses what is actually on. Wanted a pour of Calisto, which did not appear in the app but when I was up at the bar it was on the board; along with another beer that was not in the app.

I would definitely stop in again and I know they're still on the newish side but if those couple things get cleaned up I would give a higher rating. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Cool place but a few things got to me. There was an event going on that day so I understand the busyness but it was so loud we couldn’t really talk. We were watching the bartenders one up each other by opening and closing the window on a cold day. I was glad I could get a 5oz pour of certain beers because some were ungodly sweet. I understand a Bahn Mi is supposed to be a little spicy but after taking the first bite of the pizza my mouth was on fire and I rather enjoy spicy foods. I must have bitten into a pepper. Couldn’t taste anything after that. Maybe use a different pepper on that pizza? Otherwise it was a fine pizza. I might try this place again in a year and see how it is. Cool place but could improve.

Overall, a good experience and the pizza was decent. Found that the other small bites and menu was overpriced so we stuck with cheese and sausage pizzas. Had a seasonal cocktail while there and it was refreshing. Ordering, payment, and pickup is all digital. This was convenient as we made our selections and paid, no real need for staff interaction. The downside is that you get the text notification that your food is ready, and if you are engaged in conversation or not staring at your phone, you won't know to go and pick up your pizza....and they still ask for a 20% tip for the service. Got quite busy in the afternoon and there was a LOT of families with children, which subtracted from the experience for myself and the group I was with.

Checked out the brewery for the first time and there was no place to sit….we stood and waited for something to open up for a while. None of the staff even greeted or welcomed as us as we hopelessly waited for a table. There’s not nearly enough seating indoors.

My wife and I have been patrons of this establishment since its inception, however, our most recent visit left much to be desired. We had reserved a cocoon and invited some friends to join us. While the service was satisfactory and the pizzas were delightful, we were disheartened by the recent changes to the cocoon policy.

The alteration in cocoon rules, unfortunately, did not enhance our experience. We ordered additional pizzas, only to be informed by our waitress when the pizza's got delivered we have 10 minutes left. We asked if anybody reserved the cocoon for 8pm, we where told no that we are the last one for the night. Despite our request to extend our time to enjoy our drinks and pizzas, we were regrettably informed that this was not possible. We ended up finishing the pizzas in the main building, the main building is a great building, it was difficult to have to move everything to the main building and our last drink.

In the past we had the ability to spilt the bills for a group, this time we could not split that.

Overall, the lack of clear communication regarding the new cocoon policies resulted in a less than satisfactory experience for our party.

Food was great! Cocoon rental was reasonable for two hours. It was clean and cozy! Kid friendly! Games were provided and were a hit for the kids to play while parents socialized. Craig our server, was awesome! Attentive, fun/funny. Overall, great experience here for our first time! You bet we will be back!

Only thing I wish they had inside their cocoons, was a little more seating! Another sofa on the wall would be awesome for all of us. Otherwise than that, that's our only constructive criticism! Oh! Also, wish you had a moscato on your menu! Think about getting one! The Christmas mule was fabulous!

Overall the beer was okay. If you enjoy dark beer, I highly recommend the Bohemian Emperor. I also was looking to do a flight and they do offer this but it’s not advertised anywhere on their beer menu so the price of this is unknown prior to ordering. This would be smart for them to add.

The service was not that great.There were 9 people behind the bar and we had to wait a pretty good amount of time to check-out/order our drinks up front. Everyone was really nice though.

For prices, they seem a bit much. For 2 pints it was $18. They also have a 4% surcharge for cards which is very high so I would recommend bringing cash.

The environment is okay if you don’t mind kids. It can be a bit loud but that’s expected of this type of brewery. I really enjoyed the design and pop of colors that this brewery has. It’s very unique compared to other breweries.

Lastly although I didn’t have any, the food looked great.

They absolutely deserve 5 stars. We enjoy our visit every single time we go here. We watched the Packers beat the Bears in a “cocoon” today, and Mike was fantastic. He was very attentive and friendly. He could not have been better. We would highly recommend this brewery, and if you get a chance, try out a cocoon. They are nice, cozy spaces to chill. Their beers are super good. The pizza and onion dip are awesome.

If I could give this place more stars, I would! Hands down, no content, the BEST overall brewery in the Green Bay Area.

The drinks. They have a good tap menu with a nice selection of beers - especially if you like an IPA. Not only do they have tap beers, they have a bar with craft cocktails. Not to mention they have other beers, bottles, cans, seltzers, gluten free options as well. Definitely something for every taste!

The food. Finding a brewery that serves their own good food is hard to come by. Especially in the area. They have a pizza oven!! Like homemade, Neapolitan style pizzas that are DELICIOUS! If you're gluten free, no problem - you can get any of their pizzas made in risotto. And they are amazing, as well! They have some other food, too.

The space. My absolute favorite space - both inside and outside! Their main, inside space is large, very open, high ceilings, and super cute. Kind of a retro vibe. Lots of seating - bar stools type, tables with chairs, comfy couches, all the things! They have a fireplace, so it's cozy in the winter months. And they have an abundance of games and such for everyone to play. They have a huge outdoor space - with bonfires, seating, tables, grass for games, and again, all the things! And my absolute favorite? Their COCOONS! They have several cocoons for rent - each with their own theme, private space, WiFi, music, TV, etc. They comfortably fit 12 people each! Absolutely a must!

Very cool craft brewery with really great wood fire pizzas. Beer was above average and pizza was really good. The building has vaulted ceilings which make it really cool but can also make it loud and echo inside. They also have outdoor tables and fireplaces outside as well as awesome private rooms that can be reserved for small gatherings. Worth checking out for any pizza or beer fan.

If you like self serve, fast food type service, overpriced micro brews, and pizza that rivals the worst I have ever had, then go. No decent barstools, hard chairs, dirty tables. Pizza was burnt black on the outside and raw and greasy in center. Toppings and cheese slid off. Sauce has no spice whatsoever. I’ve been to this brewery 3 times, and each time the pizza is good, but always cold (how when it comes out of a wood fire oven?). Although I like the rotating beers, the service is SUBPAR at best. There were 4 people sitting at the bar, nobody in line to order, and yet my friend and I sat with empty cups for well over five minutes. The bartenders seemed more interested in socializing with each other than serving patrons.

We went there with our 2 year old. Plenty of room for him to run around and have fun. We rented a cocoon for 6:15, but we were not suppose to be able to rent it because they closed at 7. Who I think was the Taproom Manager was very kind and apologetic. She allowed us to go into the room at at 6:15 until when they closed. She also refunded us our $100. So what could’ve been a bad situation was actually very wonderful. We enjoyed the cocoon and will be back when we are in town. I think most importantly the pizza and hummus app was so dang good. My wife and I are pizza fanatics and we loved it. We also go their Hazy and regular IPA. Very crisp and full of flavor. We sat outside and getting a chair was super easy. We did not spend anytime inside but it looked very nice. We can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend. For food, give yourself 45-1hr during peak times.

My husband and I came for date night on a Wednesday. We were impressed by the number of people out on a Wednesday night - from bicycle riders 🚴🏼 to newborn moms 👩‍🍼 and everything in between. It was an excellent atmosphere, fantastic IPA beer, and fun to play shuffleboard versus sit and eat and drink for a date night. My only regret is not getting the pizza because it looked delicious. It was a beautiful night so we also walked around outside to peek into the “cocoons” and thought I’d be the perfect place for a future family gathering. Easy for kids to run outside (or be contained), adults to catch a game on TV, sit around a fire, and more. Awesome concept and fun to see in the Green Bay Area after living in Minneapolis for 6+ years we were certainly reminded of big city brewery vibes. We will certainly be back in every season of the year.
