Great food, great portions. Sitting in the lower level was why I gave atmosphere a 4 of 5. Upstairs was looking a lot better.

The staff here is incredible as always. Marybeth is a joy to have as a server. McKayla (sorry if I spelled it wrong) has a great attitude and works very hard. The bar staff is incredible. Now, on to the food. The ribeye was painfully thin and overcooked. Obviously frozen, very dry and flavorless. They have weak grill marks that form a square as opposed to diamond shape. I would prefer a total sear with fresh meat. The lobster was rubbery to the point of abuse. The fillet Oscar has taken a huge downward turn. Completely flavorless, and the hollandaise sauce tasted more like a rue. No tang, not creamy at all, just butter. The twice baked potatoes look great, but are obviously mass produced. They basically bake a potato then pipe filling on top. There is so much undercooked potato under the topping that wasnt removed then refilled that anyone could tell. This is amateur cooking at it's worst. This place has gone WAY downhill. I don't go to an $80 a plate establishment to get mediocre food.
The flooring is beat up. The tables need to be replaced. The chairs are less comfortable than your grandmother's garage sale find.
The staff is incredible. The owners seem to be penny smart and dollar stupid. Step in up.

Service was excellent nice little cozy place but very loud in there also ordered the prime rib pretty good flavor but tons of fat more than your average prime rib not my favorite.
A decent place friendly staff but the food was just ok that night. Been there a couple times and just ok food. Kinda pricey too. But I would give it one more try, maybe the pork chops or something just because of the friendly staff

Way too loud!!! Salad was a bit of romaine and 1 crouton, soup beef dumpling, no dumplings about it, a tasteless broth , a couple carrots and no dumplings, wait and where’s the beef?
Steak did not have a charred taste, just ok, seemed cooked in oven..
Food ok but nothing I couldn’t make at home, server dumped take home food in container then proceeded to touch my food to straighten it out in container.
LOUD ATMOSPHERE!
Took waitress forever to take her order. I had to ask her to come to the table so we could actually place it. There was a larger table sitting next to us that came about 15 minutes after we did and they had already placed their order and received their salads. I used to like this place, but we won’t go back again

Absolutely amazing experience! We came here for my partners birthday and had the most amazing drinks, lobster tail, chicken parmigiana, and dessert. Our server, Marybeth, was very kind, attentive, and friendly! She even realized it was my partners birthday and brought out a candle with dessert and sand happy birthday! Truly a great environment and a great place for a nice dinner and date night!

First time visiting this Supper Club restaurant (listed in my Supper Club book). Well worth the 1 hour drive!! Exceptional service from Kelly, our waitress, who provided multiple food suggestions per our request. From the appetizer (crab cakes) to the warm bread and entrees of Stuffed Filet and Salmon Oscar along with clam chowder and salads (Caesar and Hot Bacon Spinach), everything was incredible. Finished the meal with Carmel apple cake. We will definitely be back.

We have enjoyed this place in the past but recently disappointed. Had prime rib. Crusty, inedible end. No way it was 10 ounces. Was cooked properly and was tasty but looked like it was left over from the night before. PR was warm in some parts, room temperature for the rest. No side of aus just was provided Water was not refilled nor was I asked if I wanted a second glass of wine. Salads had maybe a bit more than a tablespoon of dressing though veggies were fresh. Fish was good as were potatoes, mushrooms and fries.

It was my first time here. I made a reservation for downstairs, and it was freezing. I asked the hostess if we could be seated upstairs, as they were only at half-capacity. In an extremely rude tone, she said there would be an hour wait (somehow?). If I didn't drive an hour to try this place, I would have left because of the way she treated us. If I could give our waitress Laura 500 stars, I would. My 2 friends and I went in for a dinner tonight (Fat Tuesday) and our experience was so fun. A live band was playing, the atmosphere was so warm and inviting, and the food was full of so many explications because it was SO amazing. Filet Mignon was cooked perfect. My friend has a shell fish allergy and Laura made sure my friend was taken care of. The soups were delicious and the salad greens were fresh. And then there's the dessert tray. The grandmas caramel apple...pie (?) was the best dessert I've had in a while. My friends had chocolate pies that weren't for me, but they loved them.
We will be back.

Saw the cockroaches with my own eyes last week… such a shame because it was good food but after seeing that i will never go back. Hidden gem in Trevor Wisconsin! This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants to go to, and I will use any special occasion/event as an excuse to make a reservation. Each entree comes with bread, soup, salad, and a side. Their seafood here is always on point; fresh and cooked to perfection. They also have a very extensive drink/cocktail menu, so there's something for everyone. Wonderful selection of appetizers as well, best artichoke dip I've ever had. The service here is always amazing, and the atmosphere is great. I went with my boyfriend for valentines day, and you can definitely see they put a lot of work into the decorations, it looked sooo cute inside. I will always recommend Colony House to anyone looking for a nice place to go for a date night. I do recommend making a reservation, as it is usually pretty busy (as it should be!)

I have been to Colony House about 10 times and I believe that the food is really a hit or miss. My most recent visit was on a Tuesday evening, reservation was at 4:00 pm. Upon arrival, even though my dinner partner was using a cane, we were the first to be seated in the dining room to the furthest table in the back close to a window where it was rather cold. I ordered a 10oz. prime rib, very, very rare. The waitress said I'll bring you the rarest piece we have. GREAT!! My dinner partner ordered the shrimp breaded with herbs and light parmesan cheese. Beef barley soup was good, salad was excellent and then came the main course. My very, very rare prime rib was medium rare at best and a very meager 10oz. I told the waitress, Patty S. that it was not acceptable to me. She told me that when I ordered, she said they didn't have rare. My dinner partner said he didn't hear that and neither did I. We both heard that she would bring the rarest piece they had, which to me meant they had rare. I sent it back. The chef offered to cook me a ribeye steak rare, as it is the same cut as a prime rib. I know what a ribeye steak is and NO! I came here specifically for the prime rib. I ordered nothing else. My dinner partner said the size of the shrimp were excellent however the breading/herb/parmesan topping was tasteless and terrible. Who puts cheese on seafood????? The mini loaf of bread was very slightly warm. The rice pilaf was ice cold and I did not touch my baked potato. The bill came and I was charged for the soup and salad, both of which I ate half of, knowing I wanted to eat my whole main course, which of course was non-existant. I'm guessing because it was Tuesday and the waitress informed us the main chef was not there that day, there was no fresh prime rib. I was served whatever was left over on Sunday since I was the first dinner served out of the kitchen, so they could not possibly have already sold out. I think if the waitress was a little more compassionate for my situation and practiced good customer service and comped me for the soup and salad instead of charging me $8.90, I may have been more understanding. I have been here in the past and ordered the same dinner. It was served perfect and the cut of the prime rib took up the whole plate. Last nights cut took up maybe 2/3 of the plate - a big difference when paying $32!!! I think I will have to find another restaurant that consistently serves great food. It will no longer be the Colony House. I am looking for great prime rib if anyone knows of a place in the area, I'd love to hear about it!!! If you're planning a trip to Colony House, I would suggest not going for sure on a Tuesday night.

I guess I will start off that I got food poisoning from eating there and that the only part of the meal I enjoyed was the warm bread and riblet appetizer. Everything else was definitely subpar at best and to me I wasted $150 for a crappy meal for two people. I was in town visiting my mom and wanted to treat her to a really nice steak dinner, so some of her friends recommended us to go to the Colony House. The Cheddar Broccoli soup was average at best, should have just been called Cheddar soup since there was almost no broccoli in it and it kind of just reminded me of a gravy consistency. The spinich salad had this funky, warm bacon dressing that was not enjoyable and there was way too much dressing where i was trying to scrape it off the spinach. Then we got to the main meal. The 12 oz filet was cooked very well, but I got the Oscar style with asparagus, king crab meat, and bernaise sauce and the bernaise sauce almost just tasted like it was drenched in a weird flavored butter, so did not enjoy the taste. The twice baked potato was super bland and plain. And the worst part of the meal was the lobster and it tasted like rubber. I asked the waitress if I could get another one because it was super dry and overcooked and the waitress told me that they get their lobster from Brazil and they are warm water lobster and will always taste very tough so it wouldn't matter if they cooked me a new one because it would taste the same. Who the hell wants to eat tough lobster. And now besides it being a horrible meal, I really paid the price later. I don't need to get graphic, but my stomach has not felt normal since I ate there two nights ago and like I said in the beginning, I definitely got food poisoning from something. Would definitely not recommend going there and I will definitely never go there again!!!

ONE STAR SPECIFICALLY FOR THE OWNER KAREN (fitting) AND HER TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is so sad; I’ve been going here for over 20 years. It’s a special place to me and my family. I simply needed a gift certificate mailed - the amount of condescension coming from Karen over the phone was insurmountable. I got off the phone feeling itty-bitty. Karen, how about when a paying customer asks to have a gift certificate mailed ($100.00), you’d politely shut your mouth with your rude comments and mail the certificate to your paying customer? Whelp, paying customer no more, Karen. I have never felt the need to reach out to my bank to cancel an order but I did after our “conversation”. If it gets denied - enjoy my $100.00. It’s the last you’ll see from my family. Not that you’ll care, seeing as you can so freely push business away with your snide attitude.

First visit on Saturday. Great atmosphere. Outstanding wait staff. Excellent drinks. My wife’s Shrimp Alfredo was excellent. But my prime rib? Awful. Couldn’t even cut through it and zero taste. Kind waitress saw me struggling and went to the kitchen to get me a new cut. Still awful but I didn’t complain. So, we will go back but never ever again will I order the prime rib.

Soup was terrible. Food was cold , returned a dish because it was over cooked. We will never return to the Colony House. It was much better in the past but tonight, 10/19/24 it was terrible!

We went there this past Saturday. I ordered 12 oz Filet and added the 7 oz lobster tail. I had to send back the lobster as it was really hard and dry, way over done. The next one I got was a little better but still over done and had no flavor. I was disappointed as I've gotten this before about a year ago and it was fantastic that was why I wanted to go again for my birthday. Not sure I would go back.

If the acoustics weren't so bad, I'd have given 5 ☆ across the board. At a table for 4, we nearly had to yell to hear the person across the table. We went for an early dinner, and as the place filled up, the noise got louder.

The service was excellent, but the food was just ok. Large portions seem to try and make up for the taste. Reasonably priced though.

We were really excited to try the Colony House. Went on a Sunday night with another couple. Had a reservation and got immediate seating. Walked past a lively bar room and were seated in a big room/hall. (Don’t expect a cozy, romantic, interesting or clubby atmosphere.) I wouldn’t call this a supper club.
Talk about prompt service. The server was there ready to tell us the specials and take drink orders within seconds. And she wasn’t shy about telling us her favorites.
We skipped apps because entrees come with soup (we all chose cream of asparagus) and salad (we all chose spinach with warm bacon dressing).
Our Entrees: baked breaded pork chops ( needed seasoning, flavor); Brie-stuffed filet (overcooked and smothered with a thick brown sauce that was immediately scraped off); strip steak; stuffed sole (covered with a Hollandaise-ish sauce).
Their chefs must be leaning on McCormick’s packets for flavoring our dishes. Maybe other dishes are different.
We’d give them an A for effort, but we probably won’t be back. A bottle of wine and 2 entrees cost $100.

The steaks are an excellent cut and cooked perfectly. I have not tried anything else off the menu. Why bother. 12oz filet is the goat.

Old world style restaurant. Extensive menu AND you get a cracker basket, fresh bread, soup and salad with entrees. Twice baked potatoes were excellent. Staff is friendly and attentive. Has a supper club vibe to it. Zero complaints. Wonderful evening.

Food was okay. Service was very good. If you intend to have a conversation during your meal, this is not the place to do that.

Ambiance and service were wonderful. Clam chowder was a winner, as was the ceaser salad.
First time visitor: I had steak the previous day, so was in the mood for fish, so I order the grouper fish fry. Healthy portion of fish, tad on the salty side, but fried perfectly. Baked was also cooked perfectly.
Wife had ribeye, cooked perfectly, seemed larger then 16 oz. She loved it.
Appetizers included oysters and shrimp dejounge- oysters ($1.95 each) were fine, one was very small, probably should have not been sent out. The shrimp dejounge was bitter, perhaps the garlic was overcooked.

Friday fish fry delicious as ever. Reservations strongly recommended. Hubby prefers battered cod, I love the baked cod. Melts in your mouth.
