We had a experience tonight. Salmon and shrimp cocktail were awesome. The mashed potatoes with leeks were delicious. Service was top notch. Great cheesecake.

First time visiting Elkhart Lake. Found this eatery while walking around the quaint community, not a lot of places open on Sunday for food. I've eaten quite a bit of ribeye, but the Concourse nailed it. Not only the food, but the service we got from the two young ladies serving us.
Thanks again !!

I order the lobster risotto and it was very dry! Hardly any lobster. 40 dollar meal and would have expected a much better flavor and creaminess.
My husband ordered the ragu pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and the paste was stuck together. The cook was horrible!
Different price for our drinks each time we went to the bar. If you got one bar tender the drinks were one price and if you had the next bartender a different price for the same drinks. I wouldn’t go back!!

Concourse has a new menu! I had the lump crab with crostini for an appetizer and the shrimp pasta for my entree which they could make gluten free. They have many gluten free options. There were so many choices, I will have to come back soon!
Just went back again last night and two in our party really enjoyed the lobster risotto. I had the French Onion Soup which is rich, delicious and always on the menu. I also had their take on a cease salad which I really enjoyed!
If it has been a while, I would come back and give it a try!

Sorry (bc the staff was great) but... that smash burger was more like a cafeteria burger. It was presmashed and I suspect pre cooked. Perfectly round perfectly even thickness. Perfectly cut edges. Exactly like a pack of burgers from the frozen section. Just slightly off center so technically "smashed." Smash burgers are not such an exact shape. Fresh hamburger meat is not an exact shape. It was also slimy. The cheese didn't melt so much as leak like water. Then the toppings really REALLY cemented the cafeteria food taste. It was gross. So glad I didnt go for the steak bc I suspect all their meats are prepackaged and possibly pre cooked. The hamburger definitely was but I would have been livid to get a steak of that quality for their price.

Visited the resort over the weekend and came here Friday night, unfortunate experience that was all related to being severely understaffed. Food was good but it took 45 minutes for staff to clear a table so we could sit there and ordering a drink was pretty impossible with the 1 bartender absolutely slammed. The wait gave us a lot of time to observe the surroundings which included dead or dying plants at the front door and the Christmas tree thinking about being decorated. It was December 6th so having the Christmas tree not decorated was a bit ridiculous. Not sure how the resorts restaurant could be understaffed on a Friday night during the opening weekend of the old world Christmas market, seems like poor management for sure

Sadly the negative reviews are true. My experience was disappointing since it was the one time during the year when I get together with this particular group of friends for dinner.
Food highlights:
Truff fries, Brussels sprouts, ice cream drinks.
Food lowlights:
All proteins were overcooked, over seasoned and for the price, hard to believe they can say this dining experience matches the other experiences at the resort.
I had the ribeye ($51) and asked for a blue cheese crust. The waitress didn’t know if they could do that but said would find out. Well they didn’t, but instead arrived coated in peppercorns. I asked for medium rare, came well done and after scraping off the pepper, saw a gray piece of meat without signs of anything being seared, not even grill marks. My wife had tuna and was also cooked all the way through and over seasoned.
We did not give the chance for them to make corrections as we were within a group and don’t want to draw attention.
Timing of food delivery to the table was off every time and everyone waited for the last couple plates to arrive.
Should you decide to eat here, do not come in with high expectations of a fine dining experience. Seems like there is a general lack of training and quality control in the kitchen.

We are visiting from Texas and had dinner at Concourse. On our way to the restaurant we met their new Chef who started just this month. He is from Florida and seems to be eager to showcase his flavors. All I told him was I like my food spicy. When I came into the restaurant I was welcome promptly and the server was phenomenal. She asked the right questions and if she didn’t know the answer was very frank about it. I ordered the Cajun pasta and asked for it to be spicy. When we got the food the pasta had the right spice and absolutely flavorful. Every bite was enjoyable and paired with Pinot Noir was delicious. I would definitely visit the restaurant again during this visit.

Went to the Concourse for dinner on a Friday night. The place was empty with many open tables (which should have been red flag #1). I got a pasta which was honestly disgusting. Noodles were mushy and completely overcooked and the sauce was beyond bland. I left the dinner hungry because I couldn’t bring myself to eat more of the pasta. My husband’s fish was dry and overcooked. This was truly among the worst dining experiences I’ve had. For how nice of a resort this is (one that even features cooking lessons!) I fail to understand how they think this is acceptable food. If you’re thinking about dining here, I would highly encourage you to save your money and your stomach and go to one of the other local restaurants.

It's unfortunate that a lovely resort would have a restaurant as unappealing as The Concourse. The hostesses were more concerned about socializing with each other than attending to the customers. Many tables were empty, but without a reservation, we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table and another 45 minutes for our food once we ordered per the hostesses. We decided to place an order to go with the bar, and we were told it would take 45 minutes for our food. The bartender who took the order then took our phone number and said she would call us when the order was ready. After 45 minutes without a call, we checked on our food. The bartender said it had been ready for 10 minutes. She never bothered to call. The food was barely warm and rather bland.
It's interesting and perhaps a red flag that management hasn't responded to the numerous negative reviews online.

The menu does not have any vegan options. Last year when I went here they made me a pasta with vegetables it was very good. I was just there last weekend and I ordered the same thing and I received Cajun pasta. It was a handful of cooked pasta, spicy Cajun seasoning, I don't like spicy food. It was very oily, there was a bunch of oil in the bottom of the my dish and a few overcooked unrecognizable vegetables. It was very disappointing. I was expecting the same pasta dish I had that previous year.

Horrible!! Would not eat there again. Service was ok, but Food, not so much. Very little selection, everything a la carte, one chewy pork chop, 1 small soggy Caesar salad, 1 plate of tasteless Alfredo pasta ( tasted like cheese soup and noodles)with part of a dry chicken breast on top, no drinks just water, with tax came to over $80.00 with tip a $100.00. Actually meal was not worth a third that amount. Go downtown to eat. It’s just a couple blocks.

We visit every year, normally eat at the restaurant every night of our stay. Unfortunately the menu has decreased in options, staff could not answer questions about menu items. Ordered the Cajun pasta with shrimp, 3 shrimp in the whole bowl for $27.00, asked for it to be spicy, and was told they would bring some tabasco sauce? Also ordered a well done 6 oz filet that came out looking like a nugget that was well on the outside but medium on the inside. Sent it back - 15 mins later got the steak back that was still not cooked and everyone else was almost done eating. Complete disappointment, $130.00 not well spent!!

Just ok. My daughter's alfredo was essentially unflavorful cream soup with noodles, no exaggeration. My chicken sandwich was a solid good sandwich and the fries were... fries. Just an alright experience, rather disappointing to be honest. The waitress Abby was very nice and did a good job!

I wish I could give it a zero star. The meal was undercooked and too salty. The other dish was simply poorly executed. What a waste of almost $100! I could have gone to McDonald’s for a 10th of the cost and would have been satisfied. Save your time and money people.

We arrived 45 minutes before our reservation time, in order to visit with friends and get a cocktail. The service at the bar at the time was great. There were only 4 other couples there at the time. 15 minutes later there were about 30 people at the bar. Through conversations with some of these people, we found out they were there and were going to be in the banquet room. There were only 2 bartenders and patrons were getting loud about not getting their drinks in a timely fashion. Our friends arrived about 5 minutes later and didn't even get a drink before our reservation time. When I went to check in, there was no one at the desk. Twice someone came to the desk area and got menus, but no comments were made. A simple acknowledgement would have gone a long way. When someone returned: I told the young lady that we were the party of 8 for 7. She asked if we were all there and I said "yes". Then she said, "I can't seat you until everyone is here". Not sure why that was relevant. She escorted us to our table and then asked if we could share menus and I said sure, thinking that the 4 groups of 2 could share. (one each couple) She then put 3 menus down and left.
By this time the "entertainment" had started in the corner by the bar. It was a young lady playing an electric piano. It was so loud that we were unable to converse and we were almost the full length of the dining room away.
Our waitress came and introduced herself and poured water for half of the group and then asked if anyone needed drinks from the bar and some of our group ordered beverages. Some of us then poured our own waters and emptied the pitcher. When the waitress came back with the beverages from the bar (15 minutes later) we requested more water. That took another 5 minutes.
Then we were asked for our orders. The soups and salads came about 25 minutes later and the entrées arrived less than 5 minutes later. (my soup hadn't cooled enough for me to eat any) The waitress called off what she had on her tray, but we couldn't hear because of the "entertainment" noise.
Having some serving experience myself, I don't know why she didn't know who had ordered what. You take orders either clockwise or counterclockwise and you deliver the same way based on the way the customers ordered. The food was not hot and the Phillies were flavorless and "needed" au jus. The pretzel walleye was good. The garlic shrimp was good also. The Airline chicken could have actually come off of a plane: back in the 70's when they still served food on airplanes.
Other notes: the napkins were hard and NOT absorbent. They actually hurt your mouth when patting. They automatically add a 20% gratuity on or groups of 8 or more. And won't do separate checks. I understand that larger groups may spend more time at the table and that can cut into the waitresses income: but if we could have separate checks, we wouldn't have to spend time discussing who ordered what and how much it cost. We also couldn't visit because of the "entertainment". Our group consists of businessmen and women and more often than not we will tip > 20% , BUT when we find ourselves FORCED to pay 20% we are fine with only leaving 20.
Also: there are only few parking spaces (15?) adjacent to The Concourse. (half are reserved for the spa) Park on East Street and walk.

We stayed at this beautiful resort and was looking forward to a nice dinner at Concourse. Unfortunately, we walked in on two separate occasions but no one acknowledged to seat us. I did notice another couple that must of been sitting for awhile because the gentleman was complaining how long they had been sitting with no one to acknowledge him. Poorly run, unpleasant staff. I can’t rate the food because they obviously didn’t want our business.

We have been here many times the last being December 16, 2022. We where very surprised to find out that if you come in with a group that there will be no bill splitting including the bar area.
My husband and I where the first enjoying a couple cocktails and where the other couple joined us their drinks where added to our tab without notifying us. Ok we can get a couple drinks. Moving over to the dining table and 1 of the 4 people at our table notice a highlighted spot at bottom of menu stating there is no bill splitting. So be prepared for 1 person to pay for everyone at the table no matter how small or big your party is. We are so disappointed that we have lost a wonderful local place to eat.

Took my chef hubby out to eat, after working tons of overtime this week. I ordered the filet, medium, & it was literally deeply charred all around (so gross) & overdone throughout, & every bite tasted nothing but burnt. It was also an incredibly tiny portion (as was everything). Husband got a chicken pasta thing & the chicken was dry & tasteless (pasta itself was good, though). Our drinks were good, waitress was good (until we voiced our not okayness with the meal... then she skipped out to the point of sending someone else back with our bill YIKES). My mashed potatoes were watery & tasteless. Instant? Either that, or the cook just has no idea what they're doing. I was given FIVE total green beans, which were honestly the only decent food I was served, but such a small portion, left much to be desired. Incredibly overpriced for less than mediocre food & service. When you pay these sort of prices, you expect an above the norm dining experience, if not even amazing. So disappointing. We will never return.

The onion soup was by far one of the oddest and most disappointing offerings ever. Almost all of it was bread with just a smattering of beef broth and a sprinkling of caramelized onions covered meekly with wilted cheese. My companion had a tomato bisque that resembled marinara sauce. Neither soup was particularly hot, either. Do not get the risotto. We still can’t figure out what this melted cheese covered dish really was. The burger was perfectly fine though; cooked to order and a as beefy as the 7 ounce menu promise described. Drinks are good and fairly priced. My advice don’t get cute here. Salads and burgers are the way to go.

I am not surprised by the many low reviews from 2020/2021, but you need to give them another chance because they re-vamped! The Concourse experienced staffing shortage during COVID which affected the atmosphere and service. As an Elkhart local, I had faith, kept coming back, and to my relief, Concourse has surpassed any of it's predecessors. I have to give a shout out to three staff members: John, Katie, and Hannah. John, their general manager, has helped to recruit and hire some of the best staff Elkhart has to offer. Katie runs an efficient bar with delicious drinks. Full disclosure, I don't know if she actually runs the bar but she's always there and always running around, so I am assuming. Our server Hannah was phenomenal. She was thorough yet quick, knowledgeable, and hilarious.
The atmosphere at Concourse is laid back with a hint of upscale. They have bar, outdoor, and indoor seating. The "patio" is covered and has a decent view of the lake. If you go for lunch, be aware that the public beach is close so it can get loud with children. The indoor seating has huge floor to ceiling windows, a gorgeous fireplace, and cozy booths. The bar has a lounge area, long tables, and a decent amount of bar seating.
The menu is "pricey" because you are paying for quality. We started with drinks. The beer menu is nice, they have decent wine, and their cocktails are creative. My mom really sipped her margarita and Hannah made sure to ask if she could get her something else because she wasn't sure if she liked it. Rest assured, the margaritas were very good, we just drink slowly when we know we have to drive in this town! The menu is not huge but it is diverse and everything I have tried has been delicious. I cannot recommend enough things from this menu! For appetizers, always start with the tuna nachos. The spinach and artichoke flatbread is so rich and delicious; a close second. I love their wedge and whenever I order it with the petite filet, it's cooked perfectly and enough for a meal. I couldn't choose one item on their sandwich menu- I have had everything and it is all amazing. The entrée menu is equally as amazing. Hannah recommended the walleye, which was flaky, breaded just enough, and pan fried to perfection. My husband got the braised lamb osso bucco for the first time, and it did not disappoint! Few extra things: my mom left her to go box, which they hung onto rather than throwing away. She was so relieved that when we returned ten minutes later, her walleye was waiting for her. My dad also forgot his glasses and Katie went the extra mile to let us know that she had them for us.
Call ahead to make a reservation in the summer as it gets VERY busy, even on weekdays. You will not be disappointed!!

My family and I visited this establishment this afternoon for lunch. We had a great time together and our waiter Nick was amazing. He was very polite and attentive to our large group. However the manager that was on duty was not nice at all. She was very rude and VERY unprofessional! One of the burgers that we ordered was supposed to be medium well but it came back medium rare. We sent it back and they did not at all fix it, it was still medium rare. When we mentioned it to the manager (not complaining just bringing it to her attention) she said with a very rude condescending attitude “well what do you want me to do about that?”. We were not just the only people in the restaurant but the only black people in the restaurant. She also stood by the door of the restaurant and watched our group the entire time we we’re there. We not only spent a lot of money in the restaurant but our very large group of 240 guest spent a lot of money at the hotel over 5 days as well. The hotel is beautiful and cozy and this review is not a reflection on the hotel’s service to us or the service that our waiter provided to us.

Awful experience. Brought my whole family for my 14 year olds birthday. All of our meals were brought out at different times- 10-15 minutes apart. The food was edible but not great. The waitress was snotty and rude. I’ve never before complained at a restaurant but she was the nastiest person I’ve ever dealt with. I had secondhand embarrassment for her. No clue what her problem was. My kids were shocked by it even. We were there for hours waiting for all of our food despite the fact the place was mostly empty. The manager eventually apologized and handed me her business card and asked me to return.. not sure what I’m supposed to do with her card??? Absolutely awful. Huge mistake coming here.

Food is just okay - consistently under seasoned though. Service was good but not great. Our server led us to believe a soup and salad was included with purchase of entree but that wasn’t true when we got the bill. The best part of the meal was dessert.

We went with high expectations but the food was lack luster, salmon was dry and difficult to eat. The pork chop was salty and peas for the seared scallops app were previously frozen. The creme brûlée had to have been pre-torched and put back in the fridge so the top was not crisp and it was average at best. The scallops were good, the fried risotto fritters were good too and our waitress was exceptional!

Nick was our waiter and he was GREAT. The food was top shelf and the outdoor atmosphere wat tranquil and stunningly beautiful. Cole was a busser dude and was an awkward specimen, but nice enough. We'll be back, often.

Our salads, one wedge & on caesar, were exceptional. The entrees not so much. My Shrimp Primivera was all pasta and had 3 schrimp and a spattering of pickled asparagus. Not impressive for $20. Husbands aged Kansas City Strip was $37 and he said it was okay he has has better. Dessert, butterscotch pudding was wonderful. Will visit again and try different menu items. Prices and entree pairings are better than they were when it was Lola's. Less snooty. Waitress was great. Service was great.

Excellent dinner! Eight people were served eight delicious meals. Eating at all restaurants in Elkhart Lake, the Appetizers, salads and entrees did not disappoint. Salad had the freshest ingredients, steak was tender and delicious, salmon, veal were all well prepared. For a nicer meal in Elkhart Lake would highly recommend!

Had an underwhelming birthday experience. They knew it was a special meal and didn't even offer a slice of cake with a candle! Lola's suffers from pretentiousness. It wants to be fine dining but in reality it doesn't pay attention to details, it's dishes are overcomplicated and it's service needs training to provide a fine dining level experience. The foie gras appetizer could have been spectacular. Had they not slathered the raspberry jam on the crostini like it was toast and jam for breakfast. Completely overpowered the foie gras, that was also three tiny little cubes. I had the scallops next. Nice presentation, nicely cooked. An opportunity for the server to suggest a wine pairing, but she didn't know anything about the menu let alone wine. Train your staff and have menu tastings with them!! Or hire a sommelier. A salad with grilled chicken came next. The chicken was barely 3 ounces no nice char or grill marks. It's summer, you have a grill, marinate it and grill it to juicy perfection. Don't mess with simple, it goes over way better then drying out my chicken in pan. Value for money was not there, entrees ran $30-40 and lacked high quality ingredients. I stopped after the underdressed salad and didn't order a entree. As for details; Glasswear smelled of dishwater, no ice offered (in the summer it should be ice cold if you don't give the option for ice) Wine was not poured tableside, other patrons had bottles that were not decanted tableside either. The coffee was served without a spoon and initially brought out black with no cream or sugar. The salad plate like Otto's was warm to the touch. In fact it's all the same silverware and tableware resort-wide. So for a better meal go to Otto's, the price point is better and the food is simple and well made.

They iron the tablecloths, they market the restaurant like a high end establishment. But the service is Applebee’s at best. The food is good bit incredibly overpriced for what it is. We come to Elkhart lake and the Ostoff 2 weeks a year. We’ve literally never seen more than 4 other groups dining at Lola’s. We’ve been wanting Lola’s to be successful seemingly more than Lola’s does. I will never go back after the service (or lack there of).
Go to the Paddock Club down the street. 5 star service and 5 star food. Every time.

A very disappointing lunch. Our server was nice but my BLT was actually terrible. I was excited for Nueskes bacon. The bacon was overcooked and the bread was too hard to bite. I ate half the sandwich because I was starving. I remade my sandwich with bread from the bread basket. The waitress checked back and asked how things were. I said my sandwich was actually terrible with bread way too hard. She said it's the type of bread. I was NOT offered anything else or any discount. For 14 dollars I shouldn't have to use bread basket bread to remake my sandwich. The garlic aioli was gross. No mayo in restaurant. Will stick to Otto's from now on. Just spoke with front desk. Gave me credit to eat at Otto's tomorrow!!!! Just got bumped to two stars.

I did not have a good experience at Lola’s. My friends and I went there for supper. I ordered the salmon and was served two ultra-thin, dry and bland pieces of fish. I ate part of it because I was starving, but soon gave up. The fish came with a spoonful of couscous and a couple sliced forest mushrooms. Also, the bread basket came with a spread that tasted like margarine... Definitely not worth 27 dollars.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Osthoff and my time at the holiday market, but Lola’s? Not so much.

Time for an update to the rather stodgy menu. But the thing I will NEVER forgive is the time they basically told a group that I was with to "hurry up and order dessert, because we have another group coming in after you that needs your table." This after consistently slow service throughout our meal that obviously had nothing to do with us.
Even though I reported this to the hotel management (we were guests) at the time, I never received an explanation or apology.

I can't believe how rude the staff was here. I had two colleagues with me and we stopped in to see if we could grab a bite to eat. It was about 5:30 and the place was EMPTY. It was a Friday evening in August and so tourist season was winding down. There was one family outside eating and they were wearing shorts. I thought we would be ok in our jeans and boots and instead we were told that they were "too busy to accommodate" us..... and the entire inside was dead. Not even a customer at the bar. When I pointed this out, the hostess looked at her reservation book (totally blank) and said that they were expecting more diners. I stay at the Osthoff 1-2 times per year with family and customers. We usually eat at Otto's and will continue to do so. Otto's is wonderful - great food and friendly people. I will NEVER dine at Lola's (even in my fanciest cocktail dress :) )

For brunch, you can go almost anywhere and do better. “European style” brunch had me thinking freaky made croissants and danish; stale muffins and some dry blueberry things was the translation. Didn’t help that the less than enthusiastic host who began our experience reinserted himself throughout the brunch by ironing table cloths, and as most tables were empty, he had many to attack. You were offered one of half a dozen breakfast entrees as part of the European experience. The three of us each ordered a different one. Mediocre was the best of the bunch. We learned what is apparently well-known in the area: the views at Lola’s can’t make up for the food.
