Seems like this place is slipping away. Ordered a beer and nachos at the bar and sat at one of the tables, waited about 5 minutes and went back up for our drinks. Did she forget about us? Nachos came out and were cold. Some of the beer cheese on the very outside was warm but otherwise everything was cold including the grilled chicken we had added. Probably 15 customers total, wasn’t like they were busy.

I’m giving this one star out of love because my first experience here was really good. The second time me and my fiancé came here which was today we felt like we were invisible. We had to ask for service multiple times. It was like nobody could see us and they were trying to avoid eye contact. We literally could’ve walked out of there without even paying because nobody even cared about us getting the check. I chose this place a second time today because of our first time being such a great experience but after the second time, I’m left wondering what kind of situation the management is in. The atmosphere is great. The food is good, but the service is absolutely terrible. Bathrooms had no soap, other customers were also asking to service around us. I can’t give it more than one star because of that. I hope whoever is managing this company sees this and just works on being better because I really would like to come here again and give it at least one more chance.

We went to this restaurant so we could take our dog. There are only a few spots that are ok to sit with your dog and it was too sunny for her to sit outside in the heat that long. My husband left with the dog and we had a party of 5 left. We could not figure out how the service worked. You ordered by the bar but it was implied they would come to your table for refills but that never happened. They seemed extremely understaffed. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food. We tried burger flights, chicken and macaroni and not one we considered "good " Several of us didn't even finish our meal. It was so disappointing!

I had a late lunch here. I enjoyed the chicken tenders and cheese curds. The fried cheese curds have a very light batter and tasted delicious! The chicken tenders were also very good. I also drove in from my campground two mornings and got a latte at the drive-thru. Al, the staff members were friendly and pleasant. I would definitely eat here again.

I have been to this restaurant before because of the convenient location and potential for greatness but sadly it always falls extremely short in terms of food quality, temp and service. To start we walked in and wanted to sit outside it had rained an hour before so the seats were a bit wet. Asked Matthew the bartender if we could sit outside and he said the seats are probably wet, no offer to wipe them off or for a towel so I asked for a towel and he said he didn’t think he had one but managed to scrounge 2 dirty barista towels that he gave to me so we wiped our seats off. At no point was Matt helpful or friendly or offer to dry the seats. Kayla our waitress was the star of the show!! She really was the only redeeming quality of this establishment. She was kind , friendly, helpful , attentive and even upsold us on the beverages . We ordered the pretzel which was hot but the cheese sauce was lukewarm which made dipping difficult. Ordered vegan sliders that came out lukewarm at best and one actually had bacon on it 🤣 imagine that. The cheesecurds in the flight were lukewarm and had no pull to the cheese at all. To be honest I’ve never actually had hot food served here. On the plus side the food actually came out in a reasonable amount of time unlike the usual hour plus that it takes . All in all less than a mediocre experience for $80 for 2 people.

We stopped at Cool City Brewing on a beautiful Sunday afternoon for a light lunch, sat outside on the patio. The food, service and beer were all excellent - we had the soup flight, a side of brussels sprouts, a side of cheese curds, and a couple of IPAs, all delicious. For dessert, we asked for a "float" made with the chocolate graham porter and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is not on the menu, but they made it for us. It was awesome, in fact, they should put it on the menu and call it a Beer S'more! Our server was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Two Rivers.

We went with our dog so we needed to sit outside. The outside seating area is so cute and welcoming. We went on a chilly evening and even though we were the only ones outside they turned on the fire for us. That and the blankets they provide made for a comfortable dining experience.

Last night my wife and I visited Chili's in Sheboygan. We hadn't been there in years. But after that meal It got us discussing our visit to Cool City Brewing. Our portions at Chili's were twice the size we received at the Brewery. And we left satisfied, unlike our evening at the Brewery. We had a party of 5, $140 with tip and we left hungry. You cannot sustain customers with a $15 bacon cheeseburger and a few fries, or an appetizer size Cesar chicken salad or gimmick Mac-n-Cheese. We'll continue to frequent Port Sandy Bay, feed all 5 of us (to food coma status) and a guest for less than $100 to include some Old Fashions, food for the fridge and tip, for service that isn't uncomfortable, TV's that have something other than a menu or merchandise list.

Update Feb 18 2023: It wasn't busy at all tonight. Most people were at the Mexican restaurant or the bowling alley downtown. So my party of 5 (3 out of 5 hadn't been in there yet) decided to stop in. We were seated immediately. And 17 minutes later we finally had a server come up to us to take our drink order, 7 min turnaround. We didn't intend to eat, only drinks. After tasting the red and whites the ladies settled on which they preferred and ordered an actual glass. Mind you the taster "flight" is roughly a shot glass quantity in each wine glass. It took roughly 11 minutes from the time they ordered to have the server return to retake the order of two white wines after being given the order already. We had been seated for 50 minutes. We watched 3 bartenders gaze at a glass of wine for several minutes while the 4th hurried to get the two glasses of wine poured and to our server. An hour and 17 minutes in we tried an order of shots, 4 minutes later our server returned to let us know the bartender did not have the ingredients to make a Rumchata and Fireball shot. We opted for something easier.

Our bill at this Brewery for a small quantity of drinks exceeded our dinner bill that included super sized margaritas at another establishment. Still this review is my honest take of my visit, you decide.

Update May 2025: I just heard that a Brewery rep was pretty rude to a student representative of Two Rivers asking for a small sponsorship towards a statewide music program. Another reason I don't walk into this place. Employees emulate the ownership...

Usually Brew Pubs are noisy and cold but this place had a really nice atmosphere. The owner was very congenial and server James was great. As a person who is completely over the gastropub/brewery trend that has flooded the market with upscale craft brews and pub food, I was very happy with my visit to Cool City Brewing Company. The regular mac and cheese was not my favorite beer cheese mac (probably would order the flight to try the different flavors), but the Cool City Smashburger was excellent. I would in the future make sure to clarify that when ordering an iced tea if it is unlimited refills (like a brisk iced tea fountain drink) or an iced tea served from their coffee shop. I was charged for two full price drinks.

Visiting from out of town for the NFL draft and stopped here for dinner after reading the reviews. So glad we did! Wonderful discovery we found today we had an event in Manitowoc and afterwards were looking for a place to grab lunch at. We Google stumbled across this place and thought the menu looked good and it was a locally owned small town restraunt. We gave it a go my wife, my 20 month old son and I made the trip and we're so happy that we did. We were greated by a wonderful staff, delicious beverage/food choices and a terrific atmosphere they have a little something for everyone. If we're ever in the area again we'll definitely be returning to Cool City Brewing Company

We stopped in with several friends. This is a very modern open space with a fireplace, bar and table seating. The beer vessels are right behind the bar and the craft beer choices were plentiful. Street parking is available as there is a very small amount of parking in the front and a public parking lot just past the drive through.

The menu has many selections and offer both food and beer flights. I enjoyed the fresh Portobello mushroom and Swiss smash burger with a very fresh side salad. Others enjoyed the Triple C Wrap and Brussels Galore.

We had very good service and all enjoyed the food, beer, and the nice modern atmosphere with local history shown throughout.

Be sure to check out the safe as you enter. There is a cool reason it’s there!

Beers good, service is always great, drinks are good, just the food is the let down. Portions are small for the price except for the salads. Those are huge. Burgers are small. Fish tacos are anemic. (Like crazy how little fish was in them) And appetizers are small but split as samplers to make them seem like more.

We were on an adventure and decided to stop and support a small local business. And are we glad we did. Although it was a bit confusing at first if we were supposed to order at counter or if we would be waited on we did seat ourselves and the wait staff came to take orders. My husband ordered the smash burger with waffle fries which were hot and perfectly seasoned. I had the Drunken Philly which was delicious. The cheese sauce was oh so good. I had also ordered the Latte Flight which was also good but so filling. Finished the meal with a hot donut flight for dessert which was probably the best dessert I’ve ever had. We had planned to take them to go but they were gone before we left the restaurant. The staff was super friendly. Now we were there in January and were told the town is a summer town so it was very quiet when we were there. Would recommend this place as the portions matched the prices.

Can get a better Bloody Mary at a small town bar. Didn’t get the works with it (pickles, olives, mushroom, and whatever else other bars do) no Worcestershire or celery salt. Excellent service. Staff had readily available allergy info, despite not having a ton of options for my laundry list of allergens, they made something work. They were very knowledeable, however they do use a shared frier for a lot of food options. This was my first time here. I have always heard good things about this establishment so thought we would try it out. We had been at Applefest and I didn't have cash on me ( my bad). There was a group of us, including 2 small kids. We went in & the first thing I noticed was it was a seat yourself. We sat down and waiting at least 30mins for someone to come over, when they did and got out drink order it took another 10 mins for those to out. The people next to us never even ordered and wound up walking out. Once we got our drinks, we ordered our food. After it was all over and done with we were there for 2 hrs. All of that time was sitting and waiting, except for maybe 15mins. The only reason we stayed is because I ordered the kids food as appetizers. Normally I am not one to bash an establishment, but I was in the restaurant business for over 10 years, and I have never seen so much disorganization in my life. Why would you have a seat yourself when there is a festival going on outside? The waitress we had was all over the place. Inside/outside. Are you under staffed? If so get more help. I think i saw maybe 3 servers. That's not enough for a day like today. I don't mind the waiting entirely, I get it, but someone could have at least acknowledged us and said hey we are really busy I will or someone will be with you shortly. It's part of being a good server. Oh and only coming to the table 1 time after we got our food is not the server way. Multiple stops would have been nice & you don't let someone's drink get to empty for 10mins before asking they want a refill. Cool City let me know if you want someone to train your staff

Both were excellent. The reuben was one of the best I have had.

We were driving thru town from Green Bay to Sheboygan and stopped at the beautiful Cool City Brewing Company. We loved the atmosphere and amazing menu. We enjoyed the beer and our group of nine all loved their food! Such a fun brewery with great food. However, our waitress seemed like she wanted to be anywhere but at work. She never smiled, seemed constantly annoyed, and hurried us thru our every move. Hopefully she was just having a bad day and we caught her on an off day. I had high hopes for this place but was sadly disappointed. The morning coffee and service is great but the evening is lacking. We came with a total of 8 of us, 4 kids and 4 adults. We ordered from the kids menu and a few entrees. We waited over an hour and nothing. Nobody came by to say anything or check on us. We had to go up to the bar to ask and the kitchen didn’t know about our order or if it was even fired yet. It was a hot mess. Tables around us were getting their food and had been there for less time with more adults and children. We kept getting the run around when asking about our food. I have worked in the service industry as a waitress and manager for 8 years and by far this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant.The customer service skills are lacking. A lot of people around us were having the same issues and leaving as well. If you want honesty and good service this isn’t for you. The beer is good and the restaurant is cool but it needs a lot of improvement in other areas. Eventually We got the food to go and we were a 4 minute walk away. Once we got back the food was sooo cold it had been sitting for a very long time. I had a wrap and the tortilla was so hard and there was barely anything inside it. My husband’s sliders were ice cold as well. It wasn’t edible. My kids burger was burned and cold and had no cheese on it. The fries were stale and cold. The food was quite terrible. Nobody in our party had anything edible really. For the price this is unacceptable.

Cool City brewery is a really unique brewery/restaurant. They do flights of food along with the beer! Food flights of Cheese curds, Mac'n'cheese, tacos, sliders, smoked meat, plus a ton more. Flights of cocktails and desserts. And of course, this is a brewery, they had 19 of their own beers on for my stop. Beers included: scotch ale, Imperial stout, brown ale, blonde, porter, pilsner, kolsch, American lager, red ale, amber, wheat, pale ale, 2 session IPAs, helles, a Bock, lager, west coast IPA, NEIPA, plus a fews guests and full bar.

5th time being here. Progressively worse every time. Waitress forgot about us all night had to go to the bar to get any service. Couldn't be bothered to refill drinks. 100 dollar bill. Would not recommend. Food was cold when it came out. Pretzel cheese had the film on top. Both the appetizer and the entrees had to be sitting at the window for 20 mins plus. That or theyre just reheating food like applebees and charging triple. Either way, not great. The other waitresses were very helpful but ours was beyond awful. The table next to us had the same server as us and she stopped once to take their order and once to deliver the food in about an hour. Made several excuses why she was unable to help meanwhile the tables around us got served and were checked on frequently. When i went back into the bar area to ask for my tab, she finally appeared so i asked for to go boxes but she vanished again and someone else waitress had to bring us them when she asked how we were doing. Off to Macdonalds since i dont want to eat mine or my girlfriend's food cold.
For what they are charging, they need to do a way better job. If the owner isn't there, you might as well turn around and go home because you're about to donate an hour and waste a bunch of money on very poor service and food. Probably leave hungry too. Doesn't appear to be any management when curt or whoever isn't there. In reality, based on that experience, any money would've been too much. Also why do you advertise house special drinks and then not make them as advertised? For 8.50 you'd think you could include the 4 ingredients stated on the menu. What a disappointment.
I read some of the other reviews and the owner makes a big point to show people that this is an uncommon occurance but it seems like it happens very often and nothing is being done. Won't be going back any time soon unless someone else is paying. We had so much fun here! Great flights of food! The bartender was awesome! We had the shareable Smokehaus Sampler Flight- beef brisket, pork shoulder and turkey thigh with dry rub and BBQ sauce on the side. Delicious! The bartender let us go inside the bank vault where we found a couple of drink tokens. So much fun… and the beer was great too!

We stopped in yesterday on our way home from Door County. We called ahead as we have a dog and not all places allow dogs on the patio.
They don’t, and that is totally okay! However the person on the phone said we could sit on the patio but our dog would have to be on the other side of the fence…. Not really sure how that would work. Just say no dogs. Due to this, we decided to just order for take out. There’s a little park with picnic tables nearby so it wasn’t a bad deal.
We ordered some flights and were quoted 15 minutes. The order took about 30 minutes?
The portions were actually pretty great for the price with the exception of the sliders. I really feel like it should have come with some sort of side? The sauces for our curds were incorrect and I had to go back to get the right ones. It took several minutes to get anyone’s attention (went to the bar).
Once I did get someone’s attention they were quick and friendly to get what I needed.
Also, you can’t order any drinks to go online? Thought that was odd but maybe they are saving the world, one to go cup and a straw at a time.
I have mixed feelings really. Nothing was so bad that I’ll swear off the place, but it also wasn’t anything to write home about.
Overall, I’d eat there again if it was on someone else’s bill. But I don’t think I’d spend my own money.

We had a great little date night! We are visiting from a small town in northern Ontario, Canada.
The patio was so nice, lots of sun & games to play.
I had a beer flight, a sandwich and brussel sprouts. Bomb.
My husband ordered a burger and I didn't hear from him the whole meal.

Wanted to like this place but unfortunately our service and food was sub par. My first drink was made incorrectly and had to send it back. The caeser salad had no dressing or cheese and came with cucumber, tomato and carrot. When we asked for dressing and parmesan, we received the correct dressing but the cheese was blue cheese. Just not what we ordered. The pretzel and tater tots were great. The smoked meat was disgusting. It tasted off and was very fatty. We waited so long for a second round of drinks that we went to the bar. Mind you not completely our server's fault, as they had her working tables inside and outside. Sorry to say we won't be going back.

We were in Two Rivers for a softball tournament, and needed a place to eat. We stopped here and it was amazing. Wonderful service, excellent food, unique menu items, tasty cocktails.

We loved it so much we came back day 2 of the tournament. The owner was there and made us feel like regulars both days, engaging in conversation, and some playful banter with our girls.

Absolutely recommend stopping in, and we will make the trip back in the future!

We discovered Sabbatical Brewing Co at Point Beach State Park's first ever Shipwreck Sipfest....and we loved it so much, we had to stop for dinner on the way home!

During my recent visit to Cool City Brewing Company, I had a fantastic dining experience I would love to share. I was so impressed with their food and service that I would like to give them a well-deserved five-star review.

To start the evening, I ordered the T'Rivers Cheese Curd Flight, served piping hot and delightfully crispy on the outside while maintaining its gooey texture on the inside. The cheese curds were accompanied by three sauces: blueberry bourbon balsamic, Thai chili, and black garlic aioli. Each sauce had its unique flavor profile that perfectly complemented the cheese curds.

Next, I tried the Big Dipper Flight, which included a spinach and artichoke dip, hummus, and homemade French Onion dip. Each dip was creamy and flavorful, and I appreciated the variety. The spinach and artichoke dip was the clear standout for me, with its perfect balance of spinach, artichokes, and melted cheese.

Finally, I ordered the Slider Flight, consisting of three sliders: Aristocrat, Poppin Chicken, and Shrooms & Swiss. Each slider was cooked to perfection, and the toppings were delicious. The Aristocrat, made with a juicy beef patty, bacon, and pimento cheese, was my favorite. Along with the sliders, I ordered a side of crispy waffle fries, the perfect accompaniment to the meal.

I had a wonderful time at Cool City Brewing Company and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great evening dining experience. The food was exceptional, and the service was attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items.

Pretty good food and drinks. I enjoyed the beer menu. But be prepared to WAIT. My friends had drinks because they got there shortly before me. I sat empty for 10 minutes while a bartender talked to the couple next to us (looking at me as well). There were 3 bartenders working. I had to ask for a drink. I'm fine to wait, but when I flat out get ignored is when I have a problem. As a fellow bartender that's unacceptable.

Great local brewpub with an ever rotating selection of 20 in house or local beers on draft! Food is great with a focus on ‘flights’ of food such as wings and cheese curds. The pretzel is one of the best things on the menu, but bring a friend, it’s huge. Fun trivia nights and even has a nice outdoor patio for one the weather warms up!

This is an excellent brewery with great ambiance (and really good beer). They have notably upped their game and addressed issues from their startup days - mainly, the food has really gotten good.

I rate the beer 5 stars; the food 4 stars. They now offer a flight price AND happy hour pricing (and lots of flight options!!!).

Yes, they have a kids menu - but so does Hooters. I don’t recommend this for family dining. I plan to return because they have really gotten good.

I enjoyed the beers but was very disappointed on Saturday with the food. The taco flight was inedible. It was cold and tasteless. There was no texture, I don't know how you can mess up a taco. We stopped in on Thursday 2/22/24 afternoon about 1500 for the first time to try the beer selection. I had the peach margarita, which was very good and my husband had #3, an Irish beer which he also thought was very good. I would certainly come back for the atmosphere and the beers. I would not come back for the bartender. Although they were nice, when we asked about the beer selection, they stated, "I don't know, I don't drink". That is perfectly fine if you do not drink, but as a bartender at a brewery, I would expect them to know the beers and upsell them. When we were getting close to finishing ours, it would be best to suggest another beer we could try. Also, when we came in, they were sitting at the bar, not behind it. Not very welcoming.

Cool place with really great food. Definitely will be going back. Cheese curd and taco flights are a really cool idea. And many other things on the menu give a great variety. It is setup inside of an old bank so it has a really neat atmosphere with the old vault door and other bank features still in the building. The drink options are great as well with many different specialty beer options. It was on the higher end of the price scale for the area as we spent about 120 on the two of us for dinner and drinks.

I was with a group of 3 for lunch on a Friday. Our meals included a perch sandwich, a burger and a taco flight. The soup was clam chowder. All of the food was great, and so was the service.
They also brew their own beer. Small servings were available. The beer we had was great.
The restaurant was a remodelled bank building. The result was very attractive. They turned the vault into a private meeting room.

We visited this place for dinner on Black Friday as a party of 6. It was busy, but we were sat at a table in minutes. The food was reasonably priced, servings were a good size, and everything was delicious. The owner was very friendly. My parents live in Manitowoc and said they would be returning with friends. We were really excited to try Cool City after seeing their menu. Unfortunately we were disappointed with our overall experience. When we were seated the waitress told us the wait for food was at least 30 minutes. We had just flown in and were in no hurry so that was fine. They also sat us at a high top table for 8. There was another couple at the other end of us. More on this later. 1st disappointment was we arrived at 5:45pm on Saturday and the main drink we wanted to try was the hot chocolate flight only to be told the coffee shop was closed. We ordered the taco flight and slider flight with sweet potato tots. The food came out about 35 minutes later(fine with us). We both thought the plates were bland and barely warm. If we waited that long we expect it to be hot. The chicken taco, chicken slider, and sweet potato tots were the highlight. The last issue is we were told they were sitting and group of 7 at our table (which they are communal) but squeezed in the extra chair and we were told if we didn't like it they would move us instead of making the other people wait a few minutes. As much as we were excited and hoping for great food and experience we left very disappointed. One thing to note is they were not busy upon our arrival and there was no wait time for a table.

The staff fails to inform of weekly specials and even fish frys. No advertisement on what kinda of fish or prices unless you ask. If it wasn't for the TV as long as you pay close attention to it, then ask or your at a loss. Also coffee bar closes at a certain time and nothing shows it that we can see. Waiter didn't say when they close for next if ever come back.

Mac n cheese good but cold. Table was wobbly to where you checking to make sure nothing falls or slides off. Ask for garnishes in clam diggers or you get nothing. Food was definitely salty 🧂 too. Meatballs must have been leftover
meat from the meatloaf special. It was gagging for me. The meatballs must have been microwaved too for there was no extra sauce dripping off and it was dried and caked on each meatball. Was very upset. Cheesecurds were good, but greasy as **** as all can be. But the bathrooms and atmosphere were amazing. I give them props for that. Name tags for the servers would be nice, instead of hey, can I get some help here.
