Wow! My boyfriend and I shared a traditional miners pasty and I was beyond pleased! Ive had probably 5 of 6 different pasty shops and this is one of my tops now. Each ingredient cooked perfectly, no crunchy potatoes, the flavor was delicate, the dough perfectly tender and still golden on the bottom. Will absolutely stop back here on our next trip!

Although this small restaurant has been in town for more than a year, this is our first opportunity to stop. Their Cornish pasties are great. The options are also great. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained. They have in-house seating, so you can eat in or take out. I've left the best to last, the staff is very friendly, "and bubbly," one reminded me of a sister you just retired from a used bookstore in New England. Her customers loved her friendly, knowledgeable personality. It wouldn't be our last visit to the " new food " offering in Ashland, WI. Stop by and see if you can tell which one is the bubbly one. 🤓👍👍👍

We are from Texas and have been wanting to try a pasty for a long time. We were blown away. Very tender crust, not too thick. We got a traditional and an Irish pasty. Very savory and tasty with good amount of filling. It was wonderful and the staff was really friendly. Would come back for sure!

The manager waited on us. She was very pleasant, cheerful and helpful. We ordered 1hot Irish and 1 hot Miner pasty to eat in. They were both very tasty and the portions were generous.....more than either of us could eat for lunch. We bought 4 more pasties (frozen) and brought them all home.

A great place to eat local traditional food and they also had a vegan option! The garden vegan pasty was delicious- full of perfectly seasoned potatoes, rice, zucchini, kale, carrots and onions. All perfectly cooked. The portion is generous, one makes a whole meal, and the price was really fair. To top it off the service is awesome; we were helped by someone who I assume was the owner who was one of the friendliest people I’ve met!

And the winner for the best pasties in all of Lake Superior proudly goes to Copper Pasty! It’s not even a competition, this place BY FAR and I mean BY FAR is the superior pasty spot. We’ve been all over UP Michigan eating them and they are nothing in comparison to this place. They have all kinds of great flavors to try. We got the breakfast pasty and the beef pasty. This is the only place that adds beef cubes from local farmers instead of ground beef like every other one. And it MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. The owner is super passionate about this restaurant and you can feel the passion when you eat her food. It really tastes like it came out of a home kitchen. I wish the best for her and her awesome husband we met, this is a great restaurant that deserves your business.

Copper offers a small variety of pasties, and a great deal on half dozen hot or frozen ($50). We loved the breakfast pasty and the Irish, which were tasty and substantial. The two people we met who worked there were so friendly! We loved learning about Copper’s mascot, Ricky the pup. Thanks for the great experience and the happy bellies!

This was my first pasty experience, and I got the miner. It was so yummy! The root vegetables and meat made for a tasty filling, and the crust was perfectly flakey. Stopped in today because we'd never had pasties before. What a treat! (I almost hate to give five stars because I want to keep this place a secret, but I won't.) It's a cute little place, spotlessly clean, the food is hot and delicious, and the folks who work there are very kind. This makes for a good combo!

Parking is on the street and there is limited seating inside. We had no problems but it could possibly be a tight fit.

We tried the miners pasty and the Irish. Both were so delicious we ended up leaving with a breakfast one and a whole sack of vegetarian pasties.

Have eaten Pasties for 50+ years. This is the best I have eaten!!! Father traveled the UP for work for 30+ years and chased the very best Pasties all those years. I found the Copper Pasties by accident today in Ashland. Raced home to try the Miner pasty, wow. Awesome with flavors. Hours may end up spotty at first due to selling out, but this place is SOOOOOOO fabulous! Came here to eat on opening date, and had the best pasties ever, they where telling people they where sold out of at least one kind after just 30 minutes. Line back to door the whole time I was there including walking in the door after it was open just 2 minutes. catch them open and try them!
