Never ate there but my negative review is because the menu on thier website says they have King crab which my wife loves so made reservation for her birthday and called the day before to make sure and they say it's not on thier menu anymore?!?!?

Seriously don’t know how they can claim to be Racine’s only and finest supper club…Maybe they don’t realize the far superior HobNob is in racine. The lofty price point does not begin to match the lowly aesthetics …there far better values even in downtown chicago,

I love the lamb chops, and I order them to go while I enjoy a drink or two at the bar. Like always, a server took my food order this past Tuesday. When I got my food bill--the bar bill is separate--I was surprised to see a 20 percent gratuity charge. I asked the server about it because I associate a gratuity charge with dining in and actually being served by waitstaff. The server said "servers had not been getting tipped lately and the owner added the charge for this reason. I then asked the hostess who said the 20 percent gratuity charge was "not" for the servers but for the cooks because "they are working really hard." The hostess also said servers had not been getting tipped lately, and servers share their tips with the cooks. I asked, "Do the cooks share this gratuity with the servers?" The hostess, said, "No." Interesting.

I love the lamb chops, but I'm not paying another 20 gratuity for a to go order.

Wonderful service. Nice view of the marina. The food is good but not great; dated... welcome back to the 1980s.
The French onion soup was salty and messy; packed with too many croutons.
The Chilean Sea Bass was disappointing; small portions, thin and tasteless.
The Veal Oscar was interesting; good size portion but over breaded. I think the Crab was canned, not fresh. The asparagus was over cooked and the plating was old style.
The atmosphere is nice but the carpet definitely needs to be replaced.

Beautiful view, best cocktail I’ve ever had, generous portions, professional server, garlic mashed potatoes that actually tasted like garlic (unlike a lot of other places I’ve had them), crisp and fresh vegetables on the salads. Highly recommend.

Went with my daughter and my mom. Food was pretty bad. All 3 of us ordered French onion soup. It was so salty that it was borderline not edible. Daughter ordered the wedge salad that had black, rotted lettuce inside the layers as she cut through it. I also ordered a small Caesar salad. It was DRENCHED with salad dressing. Was only able to eat a few bites. None of us had any meat so I can’t review that. A positive was the bartender, Logan. Very polite, attentive, and my cosmo was great! Just very bummed. Our server (dinner) was very dry, flat, and unapologetic. I will not be back.

I made reservations here specifically for the Alaskan King Crab. I was very disappointed to find out that they have not had it for months and was told they will probably be taking it off the menu. I wish the website would say that but not only did the website menu have Alaskan King Crab listed but the printed menu we were given when we sat down had it. It wasn't until we tried to order it that we found out they haven't had it in months. We ordered a glass of wine when we sat down and never once were we asked if we wanted another one or anything else for that matter so we ended up just drinking water with dinner. Even though it was not busy on a Wednesday night, the wait service was very slow. We were seated by the door to the outside seating and the two women waitresses outside were dressed very inappropriate -- I probably wouldn't have cared but they kept coming in and out of the door right by our table. I know it is more casual outside but they should be required to wear dressy shorts and a blouse and not halter tops and booty shorts. Very disappointed all around. The food was good but not enough to justify the prices.

Got seated outside which we requested. The tables are not meant for tall people. I kept hitting my knees on the table support bar and it was uncomfortable. The view was pleasant. There were lots of spiders outside. Do not order the escargot, it’s inedible. The mushrooms were okay, edible but I wouldn’t order them again. Surprisingly the shrimp was cooked well. The French onion soup was gross, it had way too much salt and I love salt. It tasted like bouillon, onions and salt. The lobster was over cooked or tasted like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for 30 minutes, definitely not worth the extra $100 for just the lobster. The prime rib was decent, I’d order it again but it didn’t come with horseradish nor were we offered any. Service for outdoors was unorganized. We had 3 different waiters complete to be our waiter. We felt bad for the ones that did not serve us first.

Disappointed. We have been here two other times in recent years, both times were 10/10. But the quality of the food and service has lowered. The steak choices were limited and huge sizes, as well as overly expensive, so I got ribs. The baked potato was overdone, looked more like it had been in an electric roaster. I used to love their steak and the baked potato with crusty, salted skin! Even the bread was not up to par. The server was busy, so not as attentive as in the past. Overall just not what we had been looking forward to on our 27th anniversary. We won't be going back.

Service is really slow this is a Thursday night and they not even that busy. Got my app like almost right away, but been waiting 30mins for my French onion soup. Wonder when the swordfish will actually come out or will the bring the French onion soup with the swordfish?
Waitress has not checked in on me since she took the order.
Waitress excuse was that they lost her ticket 🙄.
So she bring the French onion soup out which was barely warm.
Update almost an hour later she bring the food out and said she was helping other customers 😑.
Zero updates from waitress while I was sitting there.

This place has gone downhill. Took forever to get drinks. Food sat on the trays getting cold while server tried to figure out who got what (instead of knowing). No sign of ownership or management asking how things were. Food tepid at best for second straight year. Appear to be milking the expense accounts of hotel guests. Been a part of the annual fishing trip for over 15 years; not next year.

Staying at the hotel and had a good day at work. Ordered the lobster tail. My server asked if I wanted an upgrade of steak. A small filet would be lovely. The french onion soup was very salty, and I was very hungry. The lobster was amazing. When the bill arrived, which was listed as "market cost" was much more than anticipated. Be sure to ask about the cost.

We walked into a warm and comforting atmosphere and ordered a delicious crafted cocktail at the classic wood curved bar while we waited for our table. Inside, the ambiance is cozy and feels familiar. We were led through the comforting glow of the candle lit room to our linen-draped table that provided plush seating with views of Lake Michigan.

The menu reflects supper club tradition with a focus on hearty, comforting fare: known for their prime rib but also serving other dishes like classic shrimp de Jonghe. We have been to the Corner House many times and looked forward to the small warm loaf of bread served with our salads. Tonight for our entree we each ordered the filet mignon, it seemed better than it has ever been, the flavor was amazing and it had a buttery texture that was incredibly soft and velvety, and melted in my mouth.

We will frequent the Corner House. Not only do they provide a classy more elegant dining experience inside, outside they have casual dining and a bar lakeside, or a patio off the bar that provides comfortable seating with fire tables.

Food is very bland for the price. Onion soup doesn’t have broth it was all bread in what I assume was once the broth. Servers are overworked on weekends, waiting times can be long.

Some of the few available things available in Racine with decent place and view. Have gone here several times with family. If something better comes along we wouldn’t mind.

I ordered bass- lemon sauce and capers- this was very good, however, this was not served with capers. This was served w/ broccoli and rice ; the broccoli was cooked perfectly, not a fan of the rice. The bread was fresh and fabulous. My husband was happy w/ his meal. I usually eat vegetarian food- the only option was fettuccine, Alfredo.
The atmosphere was very good- I love being waterfront- lake, river or ocean.
Service was very slow w/ exception of the young man who served us water and removed plates as we finished.
Score reflects positive and negative.

We went to Corner House on the Lake for my Birthday and our waitres was Mellisa and she was very attentive and had great suggestions for us as we were so torn on what to order. Nothing was disappointing. We got Calamari and Oysters for an Appetizer. Our meals came with soup or salad. So I got the baked French onion and it was Delicious! Hubby got the salad. They also give you fresh baked bread and oh it's so delicious!!! I ordered the New York strip medium rare with Cottage fries my steak was perfectly cooked and the cottage fries were very good. The hubby ordered the regular cut of Prime Rib rare to medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes and he said the prime rib was great and so was the garlic mashed potatoes.

We have had dinner here about 6 times over the past 18 months. It’s progressively gotten worse. Tonight was the peak and we will not be back.
We spent over $220 on food (no alcohol), and our food and drinks were served on PLASTIC plates, trays, and water cups.
My cutlery was all unmatching and hodge podge.
My baked French onion soup was disappointing. A crock with gorgeous cheese… that just kept going. It was literally a bowl of cheese and a wet piece of bread. There was no broth. (I wish I was kidding because it’s really all I wanted.)
Absolutely nothing was hot other than my overcooked baked potato. I’m not exaggerating, my steak was cold. Mushrooms were somehow overcooked but also cold?
And the icing on the cake - both our steaks were flavorless.
When the bill came, we were flabbergasted to see that the surf and turf was $151. My steak was $52 and we both got the same cut. Meaning his lobster was a $99 up-charge?
The music was progressive jazz mixed with crooner vibes.
Our server was nice - they always are lovely. No complaints there. The hostess though… not very communicative. We requested a booth in the bar on the reservation. She did not mention this or that it wasn’t available. We were simply brought to a table on the other side of the server station.

It’s super close to home, but we’ll make the drive to Hobnob or Packing House next time.

People do not come here for the food or the service because neither of those are tasty, engaging or memorable. But the lake view and the spacious environment are what they come for with friends. We did not know that before coming for our 20th anniversary date. We had the pork chop and it was seasoned on top only and was tough, the stuffed shrimp was obviously bought from a Costco and the soup tasted exactly like Progresso.

If I could give a negative number for food , I would. The service was good for the most part, but the food was absolutely terrible. This was the worst prime rib we have ever had. It had no flavor and the meat was not tender. The steak knives we were given really need to be sharpened. We have never needed to salt and pepper our prime rib until we ate at this place. The lobster was atrocious. It was not cooked properly and was actually crunchy. It too was hard to cut through. Because of thr strange texture and taste, I'm not even sure that it was lobster. I might as well have been eating a head of cawliflower. It was very disappointing. And way overpriced. Please do not waste your money like we did!

We'd looked the menu over online and were really looking forward to trying several dishes. Our service was very good and you can't beat the lakefront location. The Blue Point oysters were delicious and probably the highlight of the meal. Several in our party got the baked French onion soup and all agreed it was overly salty. Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered, were tender and well seasoned. Prime rib was tender and well cooked but in my opinion lacked flavor. We'll probably return however, not quite as good as we were expecting.

We were a party of six and overall our dinner was great as was our server. When we were given the dessert menu our server informed us that they were not serving any grasshoppers or brandy Alexander’s (even though it was Valentines weekend). Of course those were the desserts we wanted so we asked why they were not available. Our server informed us that one of the bartenders, Benny didn’t want to make the “10 minute” drinks because he was too busy. We laughed as someone from our table was a former bartender who completely disagreed with this and suggested the server NOT tell other customers the same story. At least there are plenty of other restaurants to dine at in Racine who appreciate the business of their customers.

We ate there last Saturday, February 8th. We make it a point to eat there every year on our anniversary, just like we have done the last 41 years. The food, the atmosphere were all excellent. We arrived at 3:50 for dinner, which was not big deal. But since were early the hosted snubbed us. We sat at the bar and had a drink. But when I asked the Hostess for a table, at 4:20, she pretended not to know what time it was. This was after she seated three other tables. She was upset that interrupted her conversation with a waitress. She begrudgingly seated us and was very rude. This kinda put a damper on our dinner. As a note, our waitress was great.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I'd leave a big FAT 0 if I could!!! You get 4 stuffed gross, TINY mushrooms for over $20, the French onion soup was burnt, the salmon was super super dry, steaks over cooked and gross flavor, veggies far undercooked, drinks gross. The staff don't care about waiting on the table, just a really bad experience bringing my soon to be in laws there. Terrible food, terrible everything. The prices are out of control for the quality. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The food was very good. The chicken Vesuvio was excellent,...wonderful flavor and chicken perfectly cooked. Good service and atmosphere. My only complaint was that we were seated right next to the entrance door. Being in January it was quite cold for us. We made reservations 2 weeks in advance, so there was no excuse to seat us at a table that should only be only used for overflow walk-ins.

We have been dining at the establishment for over 30 years. I am disappointed in the decline of the experience and the food. My steak was cold, plastic cups for our beverages and a half table to sit at that was uneven. I could understand the table if it was really busy. But it wasn’t. Our server asked if we wanted to move. so why did the hostess sit us there knowing there was an issue. The experience use to be grand and felt upper class not anymore. The ambience was excellent, the service very good, the supporting food very good (salad, bread), the Old Fashioneds very good, and the main courses mediocre. During our recent visit to Corner House on the Lake in Racine, we enjoyed a classic supper club experience that exceeded our expectations. The evening began with a shrimp cocktail, featuring fresh jumbo shrimp served with a tangy cocktail sauce--a delightful start to our meal. Our salads were crisp and well-prepared, accompanied by their house Parmesan peppercorn that added a flavorful touch. The highlight was the prime rib, renowned for its tenderness and rich flavor. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy and seasoned just right, living up to its reputation as some of the best in the area. The accompanying baked potato was generously sized, fluffy, and complemented the entrée perfectly. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its charming lakeside setting, added to the overall dining experience. Amazing cocktails too! The service was attentive and friendly, ensuring that we felt welcomed throughout our visit. For those seeking a traditional supper club atmosphere with excellent food and service, Corner House on the Lake is a must-visit!

Went to the Corner House on the Lake tonight with my best friend. We got there at 5:18pm and didn't get seated or get out of there until after 9:30pm. We were told 30 minute wait and the place decided not to take reservations tonight for New Years Eve. We were waiting 40 minutes and asked how much longer and he said he could give us a table at the bar and we asked him how much longer without taking that table and he said 10 minutes tops, then an hour went by and my friend went to ask how much longer and Sue the hostess got real cocky with him and said we turned down the table they offered and now you will have to wait atleast 2 hours cause we turned down the bar table. So we ended up taking a bar table. She has a horrible attitude to be working with the public. They would be better without her. Then our French baked onion soup was cold and the cheese was barely melted on top and the Prime Rib was also cold. None of this would have happened if they were better organized. I love Corner House and their food but this was just a bad night for them. Will I be going back there again, absolutely... Maybe next year they will just do the Reservations. Hopefully they learned a lesson

It is a beautiful restaurant and our waitress was absolutely lovely. The food on the other hand was horrible. Frozen mushrooms with globs of what I assume was supposed to be bechamel on top but was really just flour paste, It had no flavor no texture and was quite gross. I ordered a steak medium. It went back twice came back both times burnt down the outside raw on the inside. First time and last time there unfortunately.

I have been coming to Corner House since I was a kid. My family and I were there 12.22.2024 and I was very disappointed. We made a reservation and we stood by the front door for 10 minutes before we were greeted. She then walked away for 5 minutes to find us a table. We sat down and it was another 15 minutes before we even were given water. This is where I was truly irritated, when did corner house change to plastic water glasses? I was shocked. You are paying at least $50.00-$65.00 per plate and being served like we are on a picnic table. The prime rib also came on a plastic plate and why didn't the silverware match? Where were we? Chili's??? So very sad. The prime rib was good but not outstanding as usual. I am not sure we will return.

Corner House on the Lake offers a nice ambiance, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in several key areas. It was highly recommended venue to have our Christmas dinner here, and many of us were looking forward to it as it was a first time experience.

Although the servers were very friendly, they failed to check in enough during the meal, leaving us to feel neglected. The service was slow, with long gaps between courses, which only added to the frustration, although there weren’t many people dining that we could see.

Despite discussing it upfront, they refused to split the bill between couples which was a bit of a hassle. To be fair, some in the group really enjoyed their meals. Yet the soups were a letdown—runny and lacking in flavor or substance. One of the prime rib dishes was overcooked, and the cocktails were inconsistent, further disappointing expectations. While the setting is very pleasant, the prices are too high for the quality, and the plastic, cafeteria-grade dishes and beverage cups only added to the sense of being overcharged.

Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it for the price. With improvements in service and consistency it may be possible to make it more promising for the customer in the future.

We had our family Christmas party last night. The evening was disappointing to say the least. The baked French onion soup was the highlight.

Drinks were extremely slow to come out. It was not busy either. When meals came, my baked potato was grossly overcooked, yellow in color. Tuna was one of the worst I’ve ever had. I told my server and was told to tell the owner who was downstairs. I went and told the owner and his reply was the potatoes are on a timer so it’s impossible and did you
Get what you ordered????

We were going to order dessert however was not spending another dime there. Checks were another issue. How hard is it to split checks by families? WE TOLD THEM THAT IN THE Beginning! Took several tries to get it right. Will definitely not be back. First and last time there!

I can’t believe I just gave The Corner House only 4 stars and not 5, but with the change of plastic water glasses instead of the beautiful glass goblets that has been the standard for eons… I had no choice. I have noticed the subtle downgrade of some things in the restaurant including the food. It’s not horrible, but not the standard quality of years past. When I was there last weekend, I ordered pasta and on the edge of my bowl was a long, albeit tender, bread stick. I thought this was strange, because I immediately had to remind myself that I was not at the chain Italian restaurant in town. Something changed in the last couple of years (definitely not related to covid) and I’m not sure what, but it’s sad to see a Racine Institution slide slowly downhill.
(I implore you though… please have the water service served in the glass goblets again, the plastic just makes the whole experience tacky)

Then came the Lobster tail I was so looking forward to. I got maybe a medium sized tail that to me was tasteless I have eaten many a Lobster tail in my life and this one was the biggest disappointment by far. It was tender, I will say that but I believe it was boiled and tossed on the plate. I'm used to broiled tails which most restaurants do That Lobster cost me $99.00 I did order a grasshopper for after dinner and that I must say was outstanding It was about 3 inches high with ice cream and delicious I will probably go back in summer to try Their "famous prime rib" but alas in all my dinner was a disappointment

We celebrated a birthday here and we all enjoyed our meals. We had the Walleye(Pan fried) and Filet Mignon. All of us had salads with creamy garlic and garlic mashed potatoes. Our server Melissa was great- attentive and friendly.
Tara - the hostess was extremely busy because this place was slammin’ but managed to do her job with a smile and an eagerness to make us happy by letting us sit in the bar area near the window.
If we return to Racine- we would dine at the Corner House on the Lake again.

The Corner House on the Lake offers a picturesque dining experience nestled along Racine's waterfront. The outdoor patio, dotted with warming fire features, provides sweeping views of Lake Michigan while the waves create a soothing backdrop for your meal.

Walking in, you're greeted by a spacious bar area perfect for unwinding with a cold Killian's Irish Red, while the dining room offers both intimate corners and generous tables that easily accommodate larger gatherings.

While the restaurant hangs its hat on their nationally recognized prime rib, I found it to be good but not quite living up to the hype. The medium-cooked cut was tender with subtle flavors, though I've experienced more robust and boldly seasoned versions elsewhere. The garlic mashed potatoes served as a reliable accompaniment.

However, the French onion soup stole the show – a masterpiece of rich, deeply caramelized onions swimming in a perfectly seasoned broth under a blanket of melted cheese. The soup alone warrants a return visit and surprisingly overshadowed the signature prime rib.

Service was consistently attentive throughout the evening, with our waiter striking the right balance between being present and allowing conversation to flow naturally.

4 out of 5 stars - While the prime rib may not have reached legendary status, the stellar French onion soup, relaxing atmosphere, and attentive service combine to create an enjoyable lakeside dining experience.

My wife has been going to the old Corner House for 40 years. And it is her all time fav restaurant. Needless to say we were both nervous about it moving, new ownership, etc. Pros, Prime rib is the absolute best like always, tender-check, well seasoned-check and quality-duh. Bread, stupendous. Baked french onion soup, still fantastic. You can tell they kept the kitchen staff who know how to cook. Cons, service, unfortunately, the FOH needs to get their act together. If the service was as good as the food this would be the best restaurant in SE WI. And what’s with the cobwebs and leaves all over the front patio? I also understand the prices have to go up, last 5 years have been killer. But seems much higher than necessary. Cheers on the prime chef. The other items need help for more return trips.

Very impressed!!! Never been before and checked it out on a whim. First off, love the classic supper club vibe with Sinatra in the background. Great view of the marina, go for a walk before or after! Now to the important stuff, we'll stocked bar with wine you would struggle to find elsewhere and more whiskey to choose from than you can handle. Lastly the food, the menu is filled with bangers, the next one challenging the last. Beings my first time I asked what was a must try. They told me the prime rib was award winning. We are in Wisconsin, what bar doesn't serve prime rib every Saturday? So I ordered it with reservations on being disappointed, but holy f did they deliver. If you decide to give it a go, ask for it rare and chard! They definitely set a new standard and I will be back again!!!

I really hate writing bad reviews but I had high hopes for this place and was really looking forward to a nice dinner when celebrating with my husband.

Hostess and waitress were great. Food, not so much. Very disappointing, $275.00 for two meals. My medium rare steak was blue, which I can live with, but my husband's king filet, ordered medium, was way over well done and dryer than a popcorn fart. The bread was very good and the best part of the meal. Bacon wrapped scallops were disappointing, bacon raw and rubberly, like the scallops were cooked in a microwave. Even the mushrooms looked like they have re-heated. I've heard such great things about this place, but that was not the experience we had.

Very disappointed to be writing this review. CH has been a staple in the city and my family for many years. After finally trying the new location, I will never be back again. When it sold from the original owners and location, it should have completely rebranded and let the CH name die. This is not the old CH... incredibly underwhelming, average food, and overpriced for the quality. Half of what we ordered was plain bad, half of it was way too salty!! Inedible salty..... only one out of 5 dishes was good, the Alfredo with shrimp and broccoli.
Prime rib is a $25 prime rib, nothing special, and certainly not $60 quality.
But I will say, the portions and cocktails were good.
Service was average as well. If this is a "high end" restaurant, the servers should at least have a smile on their face and be attentive, and top tier, at that.
Very cool building and atmosphere(although not the original "feel" as an old-school high-end restaurant), and beautiful location, but also remember to prepare for inconvenient parking!!

Five of us came in for dinner tonight and had a pretty disappointing experience. We had someone visiting from out of state who had never been to a supper club before, so weren’t impressed that she left feeling underwhelmed.

This felt more like a hotel restaurant than a supper club as well, because it’s attached to a Doubletree Hilton.

The music was playing from a non-premium pandora account, so every 5 songs or so there would be a really loud advertisement. Hearing “DON’T LET HEART DISEASE SLOW YOU DOWN” at full volume didn’t do much for the atmosphere.

We were left alone by our waitress as soon as we didn’t order drinks even though it was a very quiet night, and had to wait a long time to order.

Three others ordered meals that came with soup and they chose the baked French onion soup. The waitress didn’t tell them that the baked soup was an upgrade and therefore wasn’t included in the meal and they were charged the full price of the soup, an extra $10 each.

There was only one vegetarian option on the menu, so I had the baked onion soup starter as my entree. It was so salty that I couldn’t eat it.

The bread that came out with the starters was the highlight of the night.

The silverware was all mismatched which seemed odd, and like someone had just gone to goodwill to get spares when they ran out.

The person clearing our table dropped the plates and silverware twice.

To top it all off, Old Fashioneds weren’t on the menu.

My wife and I have a mission. Visit as many supper club restaurants as possible. We love the Wisconsin supper club atmosphere.

The food is really good here. The service was friendly and attentive.

The one thing at restaurants I really don't like is when it's too loud from all the people talking. When the acoustics are bad. The Corner House didn't have a loud atmosphere so our party didn't have to speak up.

It's right on Lake Michigan but we didn't get there early enough to see the view. I'm sure it's good.

This was our 4th dining experience at this establishment. There were 5 of us with reservations. We arrived and had a drink at the bar while waiting on the rest of our party to arrive. There was a very nice couple next to us that we had light conversation with. It was obvious the gentleman was quite buzzed. No biggie. We were seated promptly when our party had all arrived. This was a Saturday night 7pm. We were one of 2 tables in a very large dining room off the main dining area. Great views and quiet, as requested for a special occasion. There wrre a few issues that, if addressed, would increase your business 10 fold. First, train your staff. Dinner took 2.5 hours. This could have been avoided if the server was more attentive to his only table. By this time we were alone in the dining room. We had to go to the bar to get the attention of other staff to request containers, get more water, and get the bill. The server did bring a cheesecake dessert for the birthday boy, but by that time we had our coats on after waiting 45 minutes for him to return after serving us dinner. 2nd, train your cook. The clam chowder soup had flour balls in it. Not a few, but many.
This was unappealing. While the filets were ok, the porkchop was good, the lobster, calamari, and cod were very overcooked. I noticed this in many reviews. Just wish I read them prior. Do not take this as a jab to your restaurant. Take the advice and you will have a full house at 7pm on a Friday. There are not a lot of steak places in our area. We want to enjoy yours and it be an option for a nice dinner. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend your establishment at this time. Oh yes, one more thing. Upon leaving, the nice couple at the bar were still there and you couldn't understand the gentleman at all by this time. Very, very over-served. Be careful!!

Started the night off by having a drink drop and shatter on our table which we then had to move to another after my wife’s jacket got wet on a very cold day.
We asked the Market Price on the surf and Turf and when we got the bill it was astronomically higher than what we were originally told by the waiter, which had us very concerned and confused when we received the bill.
The bread was very doughy and undercook while the lobster was overcooked and very tough to chew and had a very fishy taste I haven’t had a before with any lobster from other restaurants
We also mentioned it was my birthday, but did not receive any dessert or anything. New York Cheesecake was very small circular portion.

I cannot see myself going back for this experience with such a high cost for food and experience that missed the mark.

Atmosphere is very nice, the food was quite good. However when we paid the bill was when the mayhem began. My husband intended to pay most of the bill in cash & the remainder on our credit card. When the receipt was returned to us the entirety was put on the credit card & the cash was gone. We tried to speak to our waitress but the manager on duty intervened & wouldn’t allow it. The manager revised the credit card receipt to the amount minus the cash deposit but didn’t refund our cash, saying it would be refunded to the credit card. 24 hours later, still no refund, and calls to the restaurant, speaking to the “owner” and her “son”, no help. Will not return, do not recommend.

We arrived at the Corner House with a party of 19. On New Years Eve (2023). I'm sure that was over whelming for the restaurant. However, we waited our turn to be seated. After waiting for what seemed like an excessively long period of time, we approached the desk and were told, in a rude tone of voice, "I have no idea how long your wait will be". Just minutes before four of us in this group of 19 walked out, we were told 5 min. They didn't know this 10 min ago when we asked? We were seated at a table way too small for our group. Our orders were taken in a timely manner. Our soup/salad came out quickly and was acceptable. Our entree' took much longer. My husband ordered prime rib, our son ordered the $90 steak, my Daughter ordered fettuccine and I ordered the smaller prime rib. Both my Son and Daughter reported their food was slightly below average. My Husband was happy with his prime rib. My prime rib way way undercooked. When I sent it back, the waitress seemed irritated. When she returned it, it was still to undercooked. I had her box it and didn't complain. Although I should have said something as our bill was $300 for 4 entrees!!! Others in our group had problems with their food as well. Our waitress continued to be less than friendly and down right rude when we asked for our meals to be boxed up. We were excited to just get out of the restaurant by that time. I stopped at the front desk on our way out, for after dinner mints. I took a couple and was told "this is not a candy store"!!! I took 5 mints for a group of 4 people, mind you having just spent $300 in their restaurant. We had been to this restaurant one prior occasion with a similar experience. We only went back because this is where our party had decided to go. Needless to say, we don't recommend the Corner house as their food is mediocre and it is very pricey with poor service.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary here on Sunday night, and we were disappointed. We ordered soup and the Seafood gumbo was unlike any gumbo I’ve had. The Corner House’s gumbo was broth with big chunks of potato and about three tiny pieces of some sort of fish. And grit. I scooped to the bottom to get a good mix of flavors in my first bite and was rewarded with a bite of sand? Shells? I’m not sure, but it wasn’t good.

We then sat and waited for our entrees. And we continued to wait for over an hour. In the meantime, the bus boys did a great job of keeping our drinks filled and the waitress stopped by once to tell us she hadn’t forgotten us. The other waitress in the room told her table there was a big party upstairs and that she was giving them a free appetizer and scallops with their meal. Our waitress disappeared during this hour long wait.

Finally our food arrived. My husband’s prime rib looked pretty good. My veal Oscar did not. It was fried and looked like chicken fried steak. The crab topping was the size of a half dollar. The meat was over cooked and chewy and bland. The limp asparagus draped over the top could not be cut with a fork because it was so woody.

The bread that was delivered warm to the table back before the soup course was the true highlight of the meal. Kudos to the baker for the best part of dinner!

Our waitress never came to ask us how our food was so we didn’t get the chance to point out how downright disgusting the veal was. She asked if we wanted dessert but we passed. We had waited far too long for a far too overpriced meal that was far too disappointing for me to ever be able to recommend this restaurant to a friend or take relatives to when they come visit Racine.

Our $130, 30th wedding anniversary dinner is one we will look back on as one of the worst meals we’ve ever shared together.

We had reservations for my mother's birthday. Our reservations were at 6:00 but we did not get sat until almost 6:30. Once we were sat we got to watch the hostess stand at a high top table in the bar talking with customers while we waited, and waited, and waited for menus. We ran out of water several times and each time had to ask for a refill, the people serving water would come into the dining room, stop at one table, fill their glasses and leave the room without checking any other table. We ordered calamari and a shrimp cocktail for appetizers, the shrimp sat in the window too long before being delivered to the table making it warm and rubbery. The calamari was from a bag... Three of us ordered steaks, which were cooked ok but over salted, as were the mashed potatoes. The fourth person in our party ordered chicken parm and he said it was, "really good".

Our experience was obviously not the greatest and I would hope not the intentions of the restaurant. They did redeem themselves slightly when it came time for dessert (with the exception of our server asking my mom her age), normally they give a cheesecake but my mom has celiacs so that wasn't an option. They brought out something she was able to eat which she enjoyed.

The reason for the three stars is because even though it took them nearly a half hour to seat us at a table, we were given a very nice table. They lost stars for the quality of the food and the complete lack of care for making us wait, not only for the table but for our menus and for something as easy to give as water.

This was my first time here (and honestly probably won't go back). When we walked in my first impression was that it smelled strange, like fish. Otherwise atmosphere was nice. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. Two of our party ordered cokes which came out flat and very light in color. The waiter changed out the lines and brought new drinks. The new cokes were darker but still flat. The French onion soup was good, but not worth getting the baked version as it just has a very thick layer of cheese on top. I got the unbaked and it was very tasty, but the rest of our party got the baked French onion and said it was too much cheese. Three of us ordered the prime rib. I'm my opinion, it was just okay. For a restaurant that's supposed to be known for the prime rib, it should have been better. Cocktails were also just alright. Overall, my opinion was this place is just mediocre. For the price I would expect better quality food and drinks.

You are offered soup or salad with your meal and one side. One of us had the salad which was good. A little bit dressier than a standard house salad. The rest soup; cream of mushroom was good. It had large chunks of shrooms. Another the French onion soup cup size no cheese melted on top was good as well. The last had the baked French onion which was yummy. We had 2 Prime Ribs, NY Strip and the King Filet. Every steak was cooked correctly and extremely delicious. All took home leftovers. Service and atmosphere were exceptional.

Be aware they charge a service fee for using a credit card. Our bill was close to $300 so of course we used a card. I understand convenience stores charging if you spend under $5 but we felt a $9 surcharge was nickel and diming and ended the evening on a sour note.

Will we go again absolutely but we'll try to remember to bring cash as this was a splurge on our part.

Sorry no pictures this time we were in the moment with our family and forgot. After all that's what it's all about the experience.

This is not a typical hotel restaurant. It's clubby but the focus is on the marina. Great views from the dining room. The place is a lot bigger than it looks but even when busy it's nice and quiet. There is a great outdoor seating area away from the lake with two outdoor fire tables. After Memorial Day the outside Tiki bar facing the marina is open to guests as well as the boating crowd. Dinner for me has always been at the bar where service is prompt, the food is as ordered and the crowd conversation is light and comfortable

Update: After a couple more visits I've decided I like this place. I always sit at the bar where the locals keep me entertained. Service was good as always. The only odd thing I need to remember is that the food is billed separate from the bar. You'll get a server to take your order and you'll get two separate bills even if you're sitting at the bar

Regardless, I'm looking forward to a return visit once it warms up

A few visits this year and always a pleasure! From Kim at the bar to the great wait staff an enjoyable visit. January, our anniversary, excellent prime rib for me, delicious filet and lobster for my husband. Last Wednesday, my son took us to celebrate my granddaughter's acceptance to National Honor Society and everything delicious! Prime rib, perfect, New York strip, tender. Ribs. tender & flavorful, Shrimp DeJonge fantastic and Baked Scrod the best ever! Order a baked potato and you'll get the biggest potato ever! They were kind and rewarded my granddaughter a Sundae to share with her sister. Needless to say, a delicious experience!

Latest visit 9/23/2023
First time in 40+ years disappointed. $54 for a regular prime rib and informed last week changed from soup & salad to one or the other, seriously? Neither is that expensive. Chose seafood chowder, delicious flavor, but was thickened broth, no substance. Warm bread, still fantastic! Prime rib has excessive fat and the edges which were usually delicious and tender were tough & chewy. Baked potato and garlic mashed small, but okay. Birthday cheesecake devine, grasshopper interesting. About 5 inches high of vanilla ice cream with cream de mint and creme de cocoa poured over it, not blended into. very difficult to get to cream mixture at bottom of glass.

They took it back and brought it back medium. I asked the waitress if they can just cancel it and and get the salmon. After, one of the managers came up saying that we could not exchange the fillet mignon for another item in the menu. I was confused and told her that the item I was trying to exchange was a strip steak and just to cancel the order instead. Clearly, there is a lack of communication. Also, they tried to serve our party crusty, dried, and tasteless mashed potatoes. Would not bring my worst enemy here. If you’re looking for a quality steak house try Fleming’s instead.

Other items to point out:
- They spilled the steak juice in the table space of another party member.
- The waitress continued to blame the cooks for her mistakes
- Never brought to our table extra water, and bread we asked
- kept forgetting items, blamed the cooks, went back for the wring items.

On top of that they calculate the 16% gratuity after taxes and the 3.5%. Gratuity is based of items orders not all taxes a and fees.

This is one of the best restaurants that I have ever been to! The atmosphere is relaxing and calm, from the music to watching the boats on the lake.

The prices are a little on the high side, although the food is definitely worth it. My only suggestion would be to ask what "market price" might be if you are not prepared for a bit of sticker shock. One of us had prime rib and the other had filet. We both had the lobster tails, and our food bill was over $400, over $500 with drinks and tip. That was completely our fault for not checking first, though. This is our new favorite restaurant, we will just get lobster tails for very special occasions.

TheBEST baked French onion soup I’ve ever had and fresh hot baked loafs of bread, absolutely the best! Steak is great to. We had a few huge parties this year with excellent service in the upstairs room with beautiful views of the marina.

Great service, our waiter Keenin was very swell! I had the half rack of lamb and the Fettuccine Alfredo, they were well seasoned and everything was prompt! The caesar dressing tasted really off I didn't enjoy it at all. I would definitely say the experience was worth the money.
