Terrible experience from Cousins in Beaver Dam. I really hate being this person leaving a review but if it saves someone else from wasting money, so be it. I haven't gone to this Cousins in awhile since I heard of numerous unpleasant experiences. I placed an online order, which went through just fine. I even did drive up to pick it up (super easy) since it was lunch time and I needed to get back to work. I ordered my sub on parmesan asiago....I got italian instead. I ordered a cheesesteak sub...a warm sub...what I got was cold. I couldn't even stomach eating 1/4 of my sub. Then my fries were cold and I was totally craving a chocolate chip cookie from there only to be left with a undercooked...doughy cookie that yes (that's a hair) . Pretty disappointed in Cousins ....Do better Cousins. The owners before you guys took great pride with their establishment AND reputation.

My husband picked up 2 sandwiches, he ordered 2 cheese steaks, we were given 2 Wisconsin cheese steaks that had cheese sauce instead of real cheese. We were supposed to have lettuce tomato and onion, these sandwiches just had a sauce and no veggies. I called to say what happened and the person I spoke to “Tanya” was terrible to me. We have never had a problem there, but these sandwiches were terrible and the person I spoke with was terrible. We will never order from there again!!! Cousins is not a “ cheap “ place to order from, and to be that disrespected by an employee there, too many other places to get food. Never again at the Beaver Dam Cousins!!!

Quite possibly the worst Cousins location I have been to yet. Management yelling at the customer because their systems aren’t working then not even offering to fix it?? Unacceptable. Visit any other sub shop in the area.

This is the poorest Cousins Subs around and I go to plenty of them.
The last time we got subs here (6/18/25) my son and I each ordered a 7”” chicken cheddar deluxe.they had 4 thin slices of chicken on each of them. Hardly enough to bother with and not comparable to other quality locations like Hartford or Slinger.
This location is never very clean and to this day they have never had garlic bread when I’ve been there. This was the last time for our family going there.

My husband and I stopped in for a sub. When we walked to the counter the 2 staff members ignored us we sat there for almost 5 minutes before the female said she would be with us in a little bit. Finally ordered our food. My husband's was the wrong sandwich and I ordered a blt. I was told they had no lettuce. Really??? Then the restaurant was extremely filthy, trash over filled, tables were disgusting, stuff everywhere on the floor.We have always loved this Cousins and we haven't been there for about a year but it was just a terrible experience. I do not recommend eating here.

This place was really not so great. My daughter had a sandwich and she couldn’t even pick it up it was the messiest thing ever. Every time she managed to pick it fell apart after she took a bite. The bread was so small and skinny the toppings took up more room than the bread could even hold. The fries were cooked in bad oil they were not the best. I went to the bathroom and it was nasty. We were there at about 11:30 and the bathroom was already gross the floor was dirty the garbage was already full so they clearly did not empty it today. Our tables and seats were dirty and we were the first ones to sit at the table. It took a while for the food to come out. We will not be coming back here anytime soon at all! Cousin’s needs to get it together! ( The pictures down below are my daughter’s sandwich.)

I went to this location and waited at the counter for at least 5 minutes with no one even acknowledging my presence. (There were 3 employees in the restaurant) I finally went to leave and another person had entered, she asked the lady cleaning the beverage machine if they were taking orders and she simply said, "we are busy with online orders, he can take your order though". She was referring the one of the guys behind that had just ignored me for the last 5 minutes. So I guess if you want to order from this location realize that they prioritize online orders and do not care about people in the restaurant.

Ordered pickup and got there about 15 min later. The website said there were 25 more min to wait. I went into the store to ask why it would take so long, and they said if I was unhappy, I could cancel my order and order it in the store. They said it still would take a while, so I just went to Jimmy John's instead. Jimmy John's didn't screw up my order, and the employees were very kind.

I placed an online order today, when I was emailed the receipt there was no sub sandwich on the order, only sides. (My fault). I called the store and the kid told me it would be best to cancel the order and resubmit, so I did. Well long story short he did NOT cancel my order and that unleashed all kinds of havoc with the door dash driver. After several texts from him and his passing his phone to an employee, he explained he was too busy to cancel my order and that he would fix it. Door dash driver comes, my cheese curds are cold and gross, my fries are stone cold, I asked for black olives on my sandwich and they put pickles, and I am missing my potato chips! I called again and told him, he said he would refund the chips and then went on to say because I put in 2 orders at the busiest time this is the reason it happened. I interrupted him and said “ don’t blame me” and here’s the kicker, he HUNG UP on me!’ Are you kidding me??? This is NOT acceptable!! Cousins Sub in Beaver Dam, NEVER AGAIN!!! Absolutely unacceptable! UPDATE -8/23
I have contacted you twice at the e-mail given and have NOT heard a word back! At a minimum I still have yet to receive my refund for the large bag of potato chips! My whole order/experience was a mess and would expect my Entire amount refunded $32.61 promptly! Thank you

Was just informed I am getting my entire bill refunded! As much as that makes me happy, it took 41 days to even get acknowledged and me writing a letter to the corporate office!

My Mom and I saw this Cousin Sub place and thought we’d give it a try since we have always loved Cousins! We entered the restaurant and we were deciding what to order. Emily, employee of Cousins, walked up to the register, just looked at us, didn’t welcome us to Cousins, her expression on her face made us feel uncomfortable, like we were bothering her with our presence. We ordered our food, another girl who was in drive-thru brought us our meal with a smile. The other girl who was doing the grill, she was on her phone after making our meal while in the kitchen. Phones should be allowed in the area of food whatsoever. While we were eating the place cleared out of 5-6 people and still no one was coming out in the lobby to clean. Floors dirty, tables need washing. The only good thing I can say about this place is that today, the food was great.

Ordered online 7/23/2024 for sub sandwiches, soups and cheese curds. Was told they couldn't make the curds. Said ok asked for refund, was told had to wait until someone could do it. This place has gone downhill in the last couple of months, you walk in there is nobody and I mean nobody is out there to take your order. My daughter was waiting to place an order and I ended up calling to see if somebody was actually there. We went in there a couple of months ago and the employees were yelling and swearing at each other and didn’t care that they had customer standing there. They were beyond rude, we filled out the survey and not one person got back to us about that. I don’t know why we keep going back to this place but I’m thinking it is time to stop going there.

I visited this cousin subs a few weekends back. They did a great job getting us our food quickly and was correct. I'm not sure if they were having a rough day or not but the overall the facility was a bit of a mess. I had to clean my table off from the customers before us, the bathrooms for sure needed to be cleaned, and the beverage machine was down. However, the employees were incredibly kind. We were met with a smile and hello. the food hit the spot after a long day of wrestling. I hope to visit again in the future to improve the rating.

I had the meatball sub and it was great! And the cheese curds are so so awsome just like the cheese curds at the county fair!! Try this place its great. And the employees are so friendly. My only complaint would be that the menu board in the drive thru needs a light. Even just a spot light shining on it to see at night. Oh they forgot my cookie. But i forgive them since everything was so tasty.

Since new ownership took over every single time we have been there we have had nothing but bad experiences with food & with waiting for food!
On one occassion they had run out of supplies such as bread & containers for cheese curds. The cheese curds werent even done & were hard inside. Then on another occassion we sat though drive thru at front window for 10mins & the staff was looking straight at us, never even attempted to see if we were waited on, finally someone came to the drive thru window & it took them another 10mins to make one sub & salad. The sub was sloppy put together, forgot the dressing to the salad. Not liking the experiences we have been dealt with. Someone needs to step in & help correct this business so it doesn’t go into failure!

Excited to try Cousin's Subs. Traveling and thought we would stop in and get lunch.the girl taking orders seemed "zoned out" or distracted. She couldn't find cups for our drinks then asked the kid cooking who snapped at her "we don't have any then" our order was brought to us by to employees who just stared at us holding the trays. We had no idea what the sandwiches were to claim them, only to discover my husband's sandwich was wrong. It was made correctly for him. My chicken philly had few vegetables and little chicken. The vegetables were not cooked. No real flavor. My daughter got a Turkey sub which she described as bland. We were disappointed. Think we will stick to our Jersey Mike's

Ordered at 1041 am, given delivery time of 1107. App stated order was complete at 1130, called location at 1150 and advised I still have not received my order, was advised the driver would be here on minutes, called back at 1215 was hold they had a huge corporation order of $400, that its was taking the driver longer as she was not able to find them. I understand this but it does not make another order less important, food was cold when delivered, driver apologized. No one called to let me know. I will wait to hear from the manager, they are too call me after lunch.

Drive through is terribly slow, had to drive away as the girls inside were to busy talking to each other, will be taking my business elsewhere, last time I was here they were out of turkey and couldn’t make fries!

Their machine lost my address then they proceeded to mess up my order. I asked for a 15 inch and I got a 7.5 inch. They also took forever to arrive even after they called and told me they were on their way. Will not order delivery again.

Absolutely horrible customer service.
I reached out to the corporate contact via online.. The delivery driver said they would no longer be delivering to my address because "we don't tip" (not true!) & they are "just too busy" I just usually tip in cash and dont add it to my online order so I can tip based off of service. I contacted the store manager and he was just as awful about it. I have a large household so we all order at different points throughout the days and weeks based off of our work schedules. Just since 09/10/20 I have spent $135.04 at this location. They will be seeing no more of me or the members of my household. This town is too small with way too many other sandwich options to choose to be treated like you are inconveniencing them with your business and money. Awful. Awful. Awful. Bad business. Horrible customer service. We were regulars.

Ordered for delivery and when it arrived the driver told me they wouldn’t be delivering to my house anymore because I didn’t pay for a delivery charge or tip. I had cash on hand for a tip and I’m not sure how I’m at fault for them not putting the delivery charge with my bill that I paid online. I tried discussing this with the driver who refused to talk to me saying “it doesn’t matter” but reiterated that I would not have food delivered here again.

If a person says just tomatoes and onions on a pepperoni melt.... Don't remove the cheese its in the name of the sandwich. Lucky I got Pepperoni.. I didn't get onions. I am now at home adding cheese and mayo, someone bring me an onion.

I’ve had a few minor issues with this location, but every time I brought something to their attention it was taken care of immediately. The customer service is great and the employees are all very friendly. For these reasons I make it a point to stop here often, not to mention they do have the best sandwiches around!

Friday night, long day after a hard day of work... and i am craving a whole roast beef sub from what used to be my favorite sub shop in beaver dam... wow guess what only kids working no one to slice the meat For my sub i so wanted... sad thing this isn’t my first issue here... over the last 2 months this place has been sshhhhhiiitttt where is the operator/owner? Tell me you have to be over 18 so we can get sliced meat for the sub i so didn’t get!!!! Close down, so someone with a passion to not only make subs, but own a business can run a cousins... because what I see in your future with these types of issue is no customers... so roll up them sleeves and get to work or close!

The guy at the front counter popped up like a ninja to take my order fast, and they made my roast beef sub just as quickly, & every one in there's down to earth, welcoming, & actually there to make you the right food, the first time, & fast, which is the complete opposite of the Macdonald's right across the parking lot from this Cousin's Subs.

The guys behind the counter were doing the best they could in an odd setting. One of the grills or something was putting out a whole bunch of smoke, so the whole store was rather hazy. I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to be that way. It was fairly loud from some machine, too. But the guys were attentive and quick, and the sandwiches were good and kids' special orders were spot on. Thanks guys! Even with loud machines and smoky air, they pulled through!
