We ordered through DoorDash. When the dasher gave us our order, instead of the whole Steak Cheese Steak, we received a half. The whole is about 25$. I did call DoorDash and they gave me a refund for the whole sub, which was great! Then called the Cousins on Brown Deer and informed them that they had screwed up. My words exactly, and was told that they aren’t responsible for any mistakes and then I let them have it! Telling me that you’re not responsible for half of my sandwich being missing. I told them that DoorDash made me whole but Cousin’s should make sure that their team members know what they’re doing. She pretty much hung up on me! We will find a different Cousins to shop from!

I’m not happy with the workers at this Cousins location tonight (8/5/25 at 6pm). I put an online order in and it said it would be ready at 5:59. I arrived at 6 and stood in line for about two minutes and then told the cashier I put an online order in and he asked my name and printed me a receipt. Then he walked away and said nothing. There were three shelves right next to the cash register and a sign that said online orders. I thought when they were done they would move it to the shelves. I waited about seven minutes and then started asking employees where my sandwich was. Two employees completely ignored me and I had to walk down by another worker and ask where my sandwich was. She said she look into it and after a few minutes she did get me the sandwich. All of that would have been alright but the sandwich that she got me was wrapped and sitting in front of the guy making sandwiches when I arrived there. After I asked him if that was my sandwich sitting in front of him eight minutes before I received the sandwich he ignored me and turned around and acted like he was talking to the guy working the grill. Then about two minutes later he moved it about two feet closer to the register and I asked another worker if that was my sandwich and she ignored me. All of this would have been avoided if anyone of the five workers there would’ve put the sandwich in the area for online orders. I put the order in at 5:44 and received the order at 6:17 remember the online receipt said it would be ready at 5:59 which it was, it just took the five workers 15 minutes to get it to me when all they needed was to be trained on how online pickups should work. Do better Brown Deer Cousins!

Update: this location how somehow gotten EVEN WORSE recently, orders are wrong constantly, doesn’t look like there’s anyone there managing the teens that are working and don’t care at all about the customers. No apologies when orders are wrong and carry on personal conversations on their headsets and don’t even listen to you when you talk to them. Just close it or get new management.
Used to love this location but it’s really gone downhill. Lobby is always closed now so if you order ahead online you still have to wait in a really long drive thru line cuz they don’t answer their phone that they have posted for pickup/DoorDash orders. Also have gotten two orders that were wrong in the last few times I’ve gone to this location.

Honestly, the food is great every time. We placed an online order at 645pm (*only 2 subs) & picked it up in the drive thru, no one was in front of us, and had to wait in a numbered spot— totally fine! However, it’s 720pm at this point, three cars have already gotten their food behind us, someone has come out to our car twice now and brought us the wrong food. I really hate to be rude but this was a terrible experience. And honestly, I go to cousins somewhat often, and it’s always a long wait.

Whoever the young girl Christina is is extremely rude . I showed up for an order I placed online at 8:54, I was knocking on the door . Granted, the door had signs that the lobby was closed, it said for doordash and ubereats to call for inside entry. I called, a young girl kept repeating that the inside was closed and that I should’ve been there before 9. then told me to pull through the drive through which I did. another different voiced girl answered the window rudely and told me “pull up to the spot up there.” i said “i placed my order online 30 minutes ago and have proof i’ve been here the past 10 minutes, and she then told me that they threw away my food that i ALREADY PAID FOR and that they had to remake it . I asked her name, she told me Christina and slammed the window. This was at 9:03 . So whatever young girls work the night shift on Fridays need to be talked to , and Christina particularly needs to terminated. her attitude is disgusting, and I will be calling tomorrow to speak with their manager named “Summer” (a name the girls gave me ) to ensure that my complaint is received and that this doesn’t happen again.

My, god. Don’t go here anymore. We live about 3 blocks away so it’s very convenient but we won’t be back. It was a simple mistake. They gave us the wrong order, and we never left the parking lot so we were back to explain and get the correct sub within 2 minutes of receiving our order. The manager took the sub we received back and returned with the correct new sub we had ordered. She opened up the sub to ask if this was correctly made this time, and we said yes. The manager then proceeded to say her employees say they made the first sub exactly how we see it now. We asked if she looked at the sub we returned as it only had turkey, lettuce, cheese, and mayo on it. For context, we ordered a club with the works. She said she didn’t look at the first sub, but her employees said they made it correctly… look at the sub you took back and you would see it’s not correct. I don’t know why she accused us of lying when she has the proof we were not. Mistakes happen, and that’s ok. What’s not ok is blaming someone who hasn’t done anything wrong. When she gave us our correct sub, we asked for an update on when coupons would be sent out as we had an incorrect order three weeks ago and the manager at the time said she would send coupons out. This was the 4th or 5th order we had incorrectly and decided to call that time. We didn’t call the first few times because we know mistakes happen and I’ve worked in the industry for years and you try really hard but things still get messed up for time to time. The manager today proceeded to go in the back and check on things. She then told us they have no record of this previous call and we would need to call corporate to see if they could do anything for us. I asked if she wanted to see the phone call and order we had places three weeks ago as we had it in our phone still but she refused. This is not something you call corporate for and complain… you messed up a sub. That’s something Cousins corporate doesn’t need people calling them every time a sub is messed up. My, god. All the manager needed to do was look at the order we received, notice it isn’t correct, give us the new correct sub and it’s resolved. It’s shouldn’t be a huge issue. Apologize, get new sub, give coupons since the ones previously promised were not sent, and done.

Better go to a different place. Agree with Maya, Camile and Amy below.l about Brown Deer location. For the past 3 years, I have had to drive back or get out of drive through & go in shop about 30% to 40% of the time because sub orders were wrong. I have had to wait 20 to 30 minutes with others in the lot to get food. Managers have been apologetic but the emplouees not attentive at all to orders. FIRESIDE SUBS on 9070 N. Green bay Rd. give good attentive service with wide variety of food options athat are reasonably priced & donate to local fire departments Highly recommend to save your time and stress and go there!

place my order online thur the app and it said I had 6 rewards available AFTER I place my order. I selected the reward that you can get a free bag of chips. When I select redeem it didn't give me a promo code nor a bar code online. So I went to pick up the order and I mentioned it to a nice young man. Dark skin with a mini afro. (MY RECEIPT SAYS TOULY X but not sure if this is him)He tried to redeem it but it didn't work. He said he did see it but he wasn't sure why it's not working. Then he said he will get his manager to help. Which was a complete waste of time. So this person came to the window by the name of James and told me that he trying to redeem it but it's not working so I will have to come back another time. I asked James well can you redeem it for a different reward. He said unfortunately no I can't figure it out and it's not working but if I would like to pay for the chips he'll be happy to ring Me up. I told him no I dont want to pay for it especially if I have 6 rewards and it suppose to be free. I also said I'm not sure at this point if it's really not working or you just don't want to try to figure it out. Just useless. He didn't even try. The other guy tried more then him. James push a few buttons and said he couldn't do it. Just lazy. Its crazy James was ok with a customer leaving unhappy. He didnt apologize This is not great guest satisfaction at all. They will not get anymore of my money. I been cheated. We as customers/guest earn those rewards from our money being spent. Not the other way around. When Cousins get they act together then maybe I will spend my money with you again. Besides then I'm telling my friends, family, and coworkers not to support this business. Especially the location on brown deer road. Congratulations James on loosing a customer over a bag of chips that probably cost $2. Now ask yourself was it really worth it? I felt like the situation should of been handled differently. Maybe a coupon for the next visit or just give it to me for God sakes. I did talk to the GM by the name of Jarrod/Jaroid. I told him about James and that they messed up on my order as well. He was very nice, sweet, pleasant, and very professional. He took his time with me and was very personal. He said unfortunately they can't do anything about the redemption on a store level. He says he's sending me out a coupon for my mess up order.

If you want to wait 20 minutes for a bowl of carry-out soup, come here. Several times I've ordered soup and then waited while the person who took my order and money then have leisurely gone to other stations. I have then to get their attention and ask when I could get the soup (that, by the way, just had to be ladled out of the pot). I have talked to other waiting customers and my experience is not unique. The place has not been overly busy and I can hear people in the back room, so it seems adequately staffed. Their soup is good, but I'm seriously considering trying a different location even though it is several more miles to drive.

Everything about my experience with this location was bad. I placed an online order. When I arrived at the drive through the employee was rude. Nasty attitude. They got my order wrong and added tomato to it and forgot my order of fries. I had to bang on the window for several minutes for someone to return. They gave me the food but the sub so soggy it fell apart and had the pieces of tomato still left… so obviously they just took them off. Just disrespectful and no regard for food someone has to eat. I’m disappointed in this location. Terrible.

I ordered from here recently. I have been to this location multiple times and the quality and has been increasingly getting worse. Today I ordered multiple sandwiches. My order was awful. Not only did it take over an hour, they forgot food and made my food incorrectly.
First. Ordered a cheese steak sandwich. The sandwich had mayo on it. The sandwich does not come with mayo. Mayonnaise usually makes me sick
Second, I ordered two club sandwiches. One normal; one with bacon, no tomatoes, no onions. The one with no onion or tomato had both on there. When I took a bite into it. It was incredibly spicy and tasted awful.
Third, I ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce and mayo. They completely forgot the sandwich.
Fourth, I ordered 6 fries. I got 7. I am not upset at that. However the fries were very soggy and made me feel very sick.
They offered me a full refund. I'm very glad they gave me a refund. But it should not take over an hour for my food. This is absolutely terrible and I will not recommend going here anymore. My family could not enjoy their food and ended up throwing most of it away. I waited an hour to receive garbage. Do better.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER........ I went through the drive thru ordered two subs and a fry one 7 1/2 inch one many turkey everything on them one no onions the other one with onions received order fries were burnt ok cool check sandwiches while still in the lot both were completely bare with only onions i take the subs into the store a young lady approach me who im going to assume was the manger i show her my receipt and say hey these subs are wrong this is what i ordered she takes receipt gives it to a young lady and says remake these and she gave me a fry for inconvenience as im standing there im thinking to myself this is why orders are wrong the crew was very young and playing around ok i get order head to work got there and sandwiches were stilllll WRONG so next day i call speak with a manger it was a male i explained everything he said he could remake it but need receipt after telling him i dont have it the young lady took it he begun to basically call me a liar i told him dont even worry about it im going to call corporate as i was calling corporate i forgot his name because now im filing a complaint on him so i called back spoke to another "Manager" by the name of annie who refused to give me his name even after i explained why i needed it never will get a red cent from me again

I just left and the service was 👎 I ordered and was not given a total. He then gave me a receipt and 2 minutes later came back & asked what's the ticket # on my receipt? Then I was asked to park to wait for my order which was just a turkey sub!! I asked why do I have to park for just a turkey, I had already been sitting there 5 minutes. The cashier had no explanation. I parked for another several minutes while other cars are getting there orders & pulling off. By this time I'm angry, the cashier comes out with my food bag and says sorry & hands me the bag without facing me. And walks away. The service was on time, our family could tell the food was made with care, the sandwiches were fixed so pretty hot and fresh with enough portions of meats, toppings and vegetables. The soup was made at a perfect temperature. The fries could be more alive ( thicker/ juicier):) and warm but that’s not their fault; the company could really use a different method or different fries. Unfortunately this was a Dash order because if I could see the people working tonight I would personally thank them. We appreciate your service and care.

I know I just wrote a couple reviews on 2 other cousins locations/experiences but they weren’t the best. I like to compliant anytime I can and I will say that this cousins was on point with the sandwiches I ordered for my mom and myself. Everything was good, fresh and prepared just how we requested. It seems every time I order at this location, there will be no onions on my sandwich, however, everything on my sandwich tasted like onions. Like either they put it on and took it off or the lettuce and tomatoes are too close to the onions. Either way, it's a distinct taste that I dont like on my cold sandwich. Does no good to bring it back if you're on a lunch break or too far away to return.
Once or twice I can see as an accident. More than that is a mistake.
By the way onions give me indigestion.🤢
To end on a positive the young lady at the drive thru window was very pleasant.

We like Cousins, it’s close to our house and the sandwiches are always good. But the service is often slow. There’s no point in ordering through the app because they don’t start making your food until you arrive to pick it up. If I’m going to have to wait anyway, I’ll order in person. Staff isn’t always friendly and it’s often hard to understand them when ordering at the drive through.

Ordered a meatball sub meatball with a side of cheese curds. The sub was not great. The cheese wasn't melted at all and the meatballs tasted undercooked. For my cheese curds they gave me 2 sides ranch when I asked for marinara sauce 😑. Money was definitely wasted

It was 830 p.m. I called in an order of two sandwiches. I asked for hot pepper, relish on both sandwiches and on the side because that’s what makes my cousin sandwich explosive to me is hot pepper relish however, there was no hot pepper relish in the bag or on the sandwich I didn’t even want to sandwich at that point it was too late to bring it back because they were closed at 9 o’clock. I usually always go to this cousins because it has been good in the past right now. I’m feeling really sad about them so I don’t think I’m gonna patronize cousins for a very long time.

did an online pick up since it’s drive thru. when they asked for my name they told me to pull up at the window. waited almost an hour to get three COLD subs. not to mention waiting that long to get under cooked fries. it was still white. not even one spot of crisp on my fries. i went back in line they forgot my soup. since i was there two hours before closing they didn’t change the soup. i got nasty burnt soup from the bottom of the pot. terrible service. service is so slow for about 6 people i have seen in the front of the window.

Wow, what happened to this place. The sub definitely looks like 3 year made it, just like the other reviewers stated. I should have listened to them. One of the tomato wasn’t even in the sub, jalapeños were “stuffed” in the middle, pickles were all on one side. The wrapping was all soggy. No one was in drive thru at the time. I’ll skip this Cousins for a while. You should too. Don’t waste your money on this location.

Ordered a club sub and asked them to add bacon,I always ask them to heat the bacon up. The young man said yes we do. I also asked for the sub to be cut in 4 pieces. When I got home,I opened the wrapper and the sandwich looked like it was made by a 3 year old. Called the manager and she kept saying that the bacon was warmed up,I told her I took pics of the sub. Look at pics below,this bacon is horrible!! She offered to give my money back and I will never be returning to this location. I have to drive 20 minutes to get $9 back!! Manager never offered anything for the inconvience,no worries I will spend my money where my food is prepared correctly. Terrible job Cousins!!

I've been coming to the Brown location for the last 5 years, I work in area. I want to give the manager kudos 👏 for defusing the situation with his unprofessional front cashier .When asked a question more then once and ignore people become upset. When working with the public you have to have patience. They should remove her from the front. She's new and needs more training or a different job. Overall this is a great location and I'll be back.

Went to this location a couple of weeks ago and was told they were all out of bread... that was super odd to me. Went back maybe a week or so after that incident and waited in the parking lot for 15 minutes for my order, which was 1 sub and an order of fries. 2 cars that were parked after me received their order before me. When I received my order the employee didn't even apologize for the wait. I went today, I was the only car that was parked, no cars in the drive thru, after waiting 20 minutes I decided to go in to see what was taking so long. It was 1 customer in the inside and 7 people working, 7!!! I told the employees I had been out there for 20 minutes and they told me they were still making my order. I ordered 2 subs and 2 large fries. I demanded a refund in which the manager gave me, with an attitude and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I will not continue to spend my hard earned money there just to receive HORRIBLE customer service.

Cousin's Sub is legendary. The will go down in history as one of the best sub shops. Now every store operates differently. This particular Cousins in Brown Deer is one of the best. Food is always fresh and taste good. I will say though at my last visit I ordered a couple of subs and the one of them was a footlong ham and cheese plain. No toppings only meat. The sub was more bread than anything. Meat just to cover the bread. They could have at least added a couple of extra slices of meat and cheese to compensate for not having the other toppings. I gave them a pass because their food is always on point. Maybe it was a new person, who knows. Otherwise besides this isolated incident, they are good!
