Food: I usually get the tuna (in the picture). It has always been excellent. The portions of meat are great compared to other sub stores in Eau Claire. The flavor is good. The appearance is also impressive for a sub place. I oftentimes get cheese curds with my sub, and those are quite good as well. Thus far, I have never had an order messed up. Considering all the sub places in Eau Claire, the bread is second only to Jay Ray's Deli.

Service: My experience with the employees here has always been respectful and helpful. Many times, they go above and beyond what I expect out of fast food workers. Particularly, the young man and lady with glasses are always helpful and working on their toes from what I see.

Atmosphere: The store is clean and reasonably comfortable. The music is a bit loud on the left side of the restaurant. It is also a bit chilly for my liking, but that is small beans in comparison with overall great experience I have at Cousins Subs. 5/5 Stars.

Staff are friendly however if your order is made to go it will more than likely be made incorrectly. I’ve recommended to friends and family and in the last year all of them had something wrong whether it was missing an ingredient or something wasn’t removed. Management is very nice and will offer to make it right but I’d rather not drive 20 minutes home to find out my order is wrong. Better off going to a different sub shop, or with how much the meals are now, going to a full sit down restaurant.

Ordered a club with no tomato. Got home and there was tomato all over it. What they left off was the meat! No meat at all on the entire sub. Lettuce, paper thin cheese and lots of tomato! I even stuffed 2 bucks in the tip jar. It's not like they were busy, I was the only customer in the place. Is everyone on dope these days? This was on 5/25/24 at 6:30 pm.

I have never ate at this place but I have a very close friend that worked here and was treated very badly by the management and other staff. The way it sounds by looking at some other reviews there have been issues in the past with this company treating staff badly. You need to learn some respect for your staff and treats everyone with respect and compassion.

Cousins has the best subs in Eau Claire and Wisconsin. The bread is so fresh and good, we were there this week and the bread had just come out of the oven. It was so Awesome. They have their standard options but you also can customize them. I previously lived in MKE and there were Cousins everywhere, I so happy we have one en EAU. 1st let me say this is my favorite location. My family and I always stop here when we take a trip to Illinois from Minnesota. We were excited to get cousins on the way back to Minnesota. I felt sorry for staff, pretty sure the guy taking my order was in his first week. I had some trouble with the menu, but I don't frequent sub shops, guy wasn't very helpful. Said no cheese as well, lactose intolerant, cheese all over it. Both card readers "timed out", finally able to pay cash and now also have a charge on my credit card.

So I piped up, well it's my concern, and if it's not ready then I'm going to need to leave.

10 stars! Living 2 hours away in Minnesota I'm always craving a cousins and anytime we are driving through Eau Claire we have to stop. We are never dissapointed.
Service is always quick, staff is friendly and the food is SO good. $30 for 3 sandwich combos is affordable IMO.
I'm picky and I always add on things like cheese, extra mayo and pickles. And They've always got my order correct. Please please never close!!!!!!!! See you next time when we travel through.

I had this delivered, didn't realize their website redirected to door dash. As far as the food, zero complaints, was actually very impressed by the quality and quantity for what I paid. The delivery service was later than expected, but not outrageous, overpriced, and my food showed up looking like it had tipped over but not shaken or dropped. As far as I'm concerned cousins subs is incredible, just wish they didn't contract through the most expensive and least professional courier/delivery service.

Been going to Cousins Subs in Eau Claire for 25 years. Always had excellent food UNTIL our last visit two weeks ago. Ordered a 7 inch Cousin Club sub and the bread was thin and tasteless, there was one thin slice of each meat and it was less than half the thickness of these same club subs we had been enjoying for 25 years.
We will not go back.

It's cousin's and this is the only cousin's for a country mile in Western WI. Erbs and gerbs kind of has a monopoly on EC but I live in Milwaukee and wanted a taste of home and that means cousin's. Also idk if erbs and gerbs does cheese curds so cousin's is too of the list. Also with the rewards app I think cousin's is worth my time.

Spent $100 on food using curbside pick-up. They didn't put any of the sauces on the subs. Apparently expected us to use our fingers to spread it out of condiment cups. Didn't even include enough dressing to cover half the sub. French fries weren't cooked all the way and we're soggy AF. My brother lived in Philly and his girlfriend owned a sub place in the city. I went there to help my brother out I was at the sub shop many of times. I know how there made. Ordered a sub for lunch. No onions. Go get my sub, get home, get inside, thing is loaded with onions. My lunch break is almost over. Call the store. Their solution is me driving it back for a refund. No can do. I work until 7, I ask if I can bring it then "We close at 7 but you can bring it tomorrow or another day". At this point I'm stunned that this is their solution - Me saving a sub and taking more time out of my day (the next day on top of that) to correct their mistake. I just said "ok?" and ended the call. Called a few minutes later to see if a delivery driver can pick it up. Guy says they don't have any drivers. "Can one pick it up later?" Guy says no drivers later either - Mind you the website has delivery as an option at this same exact time. The mistake isn't really the issue, people make mistakes. But the fact that they had SO many opportunities to correct their mistake and failed customer service every step of the way is mind boggling. Send a driver, stay 5 minutes after close, void the charge, send a voucher, ANYTHING. So I guess I'll take more of my time and gas, take off work early, and return this nearly $15 sub. Cousins Subs failed miserably today. Errors on orders can be corrected - Poor customer service cannot.
