I find it interesting that owner post comment about good ratings and didnt answer this post. I see someone else posted similar experiences with closing doors early. I am not the only one this is happening to.
First time I have given rating for this place. We are snowbirds so only use this during summer months. I am commenting on last night service.
Called at 729pm to place order. phone rang for 4 plus minutes with no answer. I hung up and called back. Phone kept ringing so I let it ring. I live in Port and decided I would drive over to see this large group of customers that must be there. I was 2 blocks away when a young man answered to tell me they had closed at 745PM because they ran out of bread,
I told him I had been trying to place order since 730 and no answer on phone. This time I looked down and saw time was 748PM. and I had been on phone for more than 15 minutes with no one answering it. He responded "No way man" I told him I was just around the corner and would stop and show him my proof on the phone. He said NO, Were closed.
I asked him why he could not just answer phone earlier and let me know so I wouldnt have to continue coming to his store. He told me there was no way I was on phone. I lost my temper at that time and said the F word. I told him I would tell the owner / manager know of the service. He said what ever, thanked me, said he was sorry, and then hung up.
Luckily Arby's was open and no problems there. Not a good experience for Cousins.

Well the door states they are open until 8pm. I tried to get a sub at 7:48 but the girl locked the door as I was about to walk in and said they were closed.
You shouldn't advertise that you're open until 8 if you don't plan to be. Very poor customer service to just wave behind a glass door and lock it in front of me.

We’ve lived in Port Washington for 5 years and the service here has always been pretty decent. Occasional mistakes on our orders but nothing over the top, and they’ve always been friendly. However, the staff that have been working here for the past 6 months to a year are phenomenal! They’re efficient, fast and friendly. I haven’t had an incorrect order in such a long time. The food is always fresh and ready when they say it will be. We’ve been really pleased with their service. Great job!

I have had mostly positive experiences with this location. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because sometimes, the staff have an attitude problem, especially the younger employees working there.

The worst experience was this one time about a month ago, I placed an online order for the 10 dollar meal deal plus an order of cheese curds. When I got there, the girl working there only bagged the stuff for my 10 dollar meal deal and immediately walked to the back. I waited a good few minutes waiting for her to start my cheese curds. I didn't want to yell for her, so I got desperate and walked through the front door to ring the alarm to get her attention.

When she came back, I told her she had forgotten my cheese curds, and she had a major attitude about making them for me. The food has always been good, but management should probably go over customer service skills, especially with their younger employees. Not all of them or even most of them, but some of them need to be coached about it.

Worst location ever. Food is always sloppy, old or portions are halved and the bread will be stale even if you come in 5 minutes after opening. I tried ordering this afternoon hoping it was early enough that they might have fresh bread like the company loves to boast about. I was told my first choice of bread was all out, so I asked for whatever bread was baked most recently and received the most stale italian bread I've ever consumed. An absolute joke of an establishment. Don't waste your money.

I have never had any team at any establishment care as much about my food allergies and safety as they did at this place! I came into this Cousins location about 2ish weeks ago for a veggie sandwich and I told the woman working the register that I have severe food allergies. She was very nice and went to the back to let another woman know (who I believe was the manager), I wish I caught her name! This manager then came out and jumped into action to help the team with making my sandwich. She kindly instructed everyone to change their gloves and get fresh knives, got me a fresh roll, washed down the counters, and was meticulous about making sure that none of the ingredients or surfaces were contaminated by my allergens. I bring up my allergies at a lot of food places and I have never seen someone care this much, it was really heartwarming and I just want to express my appreciation for the care that she and the rest of the team showed me. They went above and beyond. Thank you all!

This was the fastest Cousin's that I've visited. We ordered a pair of club subs, and they were ready in about 5 minutes. If you're on the fence, their Club and Italian Special are the best at showing off what they are best at. The fries are pretty good, too. The soda comes from a machine that robotically mixes the coke product of your dreams after you specify what it contains on the screen.

The absolute best staff! Generous and thoughtful. When they found out I forgot to pick up my lunch when my dog got diagnosed with an internal bleed, they delivered my sub for free and even offered to make one for my husband so we wouldn't have to plan for dinner. I made an online order at about 6:20, and the app told me it would be ready by 6:46. I arrive at the store at 6:46, and they never even started my order. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes. On top of that, I ordered two large sodas. When I went to fill my wife's soda of diet cherry coke, the machine stopped working. It turns out it ran out of diet options. My wife and I are both diabetic so I was forced to get water. I literally paid $2.49 for water. On top of all of this, I got the pleasure of watching the employees yell at each other, which, mind you one was not wearing a mask in the middle of a global pandemic. Completely and utterly inexcusable. The only saving grace is my wife and I are both fully vaccinated so our lives were not in much danger from your anti-mask employee. Needless to say this was my first time going to Cousin Subs, and this will also be my last.

Ordered 2 subs and a chocolate shake. First the girl taking the order was not fully masked. Her nose was uncovered. I ordered a chocolate shake and got vanilla. The phone rang and the girl told the other two workers not to answer it. One of the sandwich makers kept grabbing his nose with his gloved hand. And they kept asking the girl what they should do now. They had no clue what was going on. Paid $19.00 for a meal I didn’t get. Watching the 3 people work I left the store and threw my shake in the garbage in disgust. Never going back there again. Aweful! Our family went here for dinner. Our Order was wrong, had to ask to have it fixed 5 times, was a hair in my sub, marinara sauce on our bread (not ordered) probably from dirty counter, dirty napkins on our plates, given water cups instead of our "meal" cups. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to provide the right amount of fresh bread daily to each location. Just wish the Port Washington store had had fresh soft bread today.

I've also noticed at every location I've been to the staff ignore the online pickup lane. I had to watch an order delivered then wait for another to order before I could ask for my order. Not sure this convenience is really working for the customer.

I don't visit Cousins often at all. That said I will go when they have special subs that interest me and the occasion presented itself. Was the only one there when myself and girlfriend visited and got our subs to go. Horrible experience today. Not sure if the young lady taking the order was listening to the order or not, however, when you pay 32 dollars for a lunch for your wife and yourself to eat half and take half of the sub home, you expect it to be right. We asked to eat half of our subs in the lobby and package the other two halves so we could take them home to eat later. Our subs were left on the counter with no one behind the counter to even hear our problems with the subs we had already eaten. To top it off, there was a women that placed an online order and payed for her order online, the cashier told her "YOU DID NOT PAY FOR THIS", the women went back to her car to grab her cell phone to show that she payed. What is going on with your employees? I am ashamed in what has happened to this location. All i can say is if you keep this up you will not have a business in a town like Port Washington, PAY THE MONEY TO HAVE GOOD EMPLOYEES, WE LIKE YOUR SUBS BUT WILL NOT PUT UP WITH THIS!

Update Dec 18' much better sub last week. Four stars.

First review=Three stars. The food is good and staff is usually pretty nice. Cousins runs copious amounts of coupons in local advertisements. This helps offsets the relatively high prices in comparison for what little meat you get on these sandwiches. Moreover, the consistency is not great. Of the dozen or so times I've been here over the past 3+ years, I'd say every forth time I get a sub that isn't just as good as the last. This isn't freaky fast food but it isn't even close to fast casual either. Personally, for me, nothing stands out about this place. Nevertheless, I'll go back eventually.

The sub I got (pepperoni melt) was so good I had to go up and get a second one, the employee that took my order was also really nice and helpful as I don’t normally eat at cousins subs, the only thing that brought this place down to 4 stars is the cleanliness. The tables were covered in crumbs and the trash can was overflowing while I could hear the 3 employees I had seen up front when I ordered in the back of the store laughing and talking while there were other things to worry about like the cleanliness of the store. I am still very glad I ate here because of the quality of the food.

He gave me a small sub and I paid for a 7.5 inch, he argued that it wasn't cut as a mini sub but I order cousins alot in Milwaukee so I'm no fool. I left out but forgot to ask for peppers came back in and he and another staff member was talking about me, I know because they both looked at me then stopped talking and he got up close to the other employee and said something and she looked at me. I said i was thinking today..I just placed my order on the phone because she seemed confused. I asked for xtra cucumber and sauce. $7.49 for a half sub , wow then when i got home . This was the worst sub I have ever eaten , or attempted to eat..I scraped everything off the bread ,it had 2 cucumbers ,about 4 pcs of onions and the cheese was horrid or maybe it was the cucumber sauce, couldn't tell, everything was ice cold.
